Writing is something I do as I hobby, not something I want to do professionally. If I get more of those questions I'm just not gonna bother replying and will just delete your message.

And if it continues onward, I will just mute you without hesitation. Authors like me have lives and I'm tired of my readers thinking I don't have a life outside of Wattpad. I try to make my chapters at least 1000+ words. It won't happen if people are constantly pressuring me to update. You guys either get a short chapter or a long one, pick your poison.

CHAPTER TWO - BACK IN BLACK, PART 2

𝓣𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃

I WAS BACK AT THE secret agency the next day wearing a black hoodie. I still wasn't used to the whole having powers thing. I mean, I did have a power back when I was with the Ninja Steel Rangers, but hearing conversations from a far range kills your head sometimes.

I also feel like I'm eavesdropping on people's private conversations, not like they know. But still.

"Hey, Trent. Do you think you can deliver this to Nate?" A fellow intern by the name of Ava asked me as she handed me a clipboard with some papers clipped onto it.

"Sure, Ava." I responded, taking the clipboard.

Ava Miller was an intern like me, only she was here a week before. I should also mention she has a slight crush on me. How do I know this? Because I overheard her conversation with the other interns and some of the staff about how handsome I was.

I thought for sure having a robotic arm would be a big turn off. Apparently, it isn't.

"U-Um, I was also wondering if perhaps you'd like to go out for coffee after work? You know, just two co-workers getting to know each other." Ava said.

"Ava, I'm sure you're a nice girl. But I'm gonna have to decline. For one, I'm married, and even if I wasn't, females aren't my type." I informed, walking away.

I was walking down the corridor, trying to find this guy Nate when I suddenly bumped into someone, almost knocking me over. "I'm sorry!" I immediately apologized.

"No, no, that was completely my fault."

I looked up to see a dark-skinned male with black curly hair wearing a red shirt with a black jacket over it.

"I hate to bother you, but I'm Trent Weston and I'm looking for Nate. Do you know where he's located?" I questioned.

"Yeah. I work with him. Follow me." The guy replied. "I'm Devon. Devon Daniels."

"Adam Daniels son?" I asked.

Devon sighed. "That's me." He answered.

"Oh, sorry. I can only guess that must be annoying. Take it from me who's married to a famous singer." I said.

"I knew your last name sounded familiar. I have a... friend I guess you can call her? She's somewhat of a fan of Levi Weston." Devon stated. "Are you new in town, Trent? I haven't seen you around."

"I am. I just moved to Coral Harbor a few days ago."

"Really? Where from?"

"Summer Cove."

Devon raised an eyebrow. "That's the town that had the civilians mind-controlled, right? You used to live there?" He questioned.

I winced at the mention of the issue that was caused by none other than Odius. "Yeah. It is." I responded.

We had finally arrived at some lab. "Nate, someone is here for you." Devon informed.

"I was told to deliver this to you." I said, giving the clipboard to him.

"Thank you, um..." Nate trailed off.

"Trent Weston." I told him.

"You're Levi Weston's husband." A blonde haired girl in a yellow jacket stated. "I'm Zoey Reeves. That's Ravi Shaw." She added, pointing to a male in a blue hoodie.

I noticed a boy who looked like he was about thirteen years old with light brown hair and brown eyes playing on a Nintendo Switch. "Who's the kid?" I asked.

"Oh, that's Dacoda. He used to live in Summer Cove." Devon responded. "His parents ended up dying from all the debris from the attack there, so he was sent here. He just helps Nate out since he's usually the one who looks after him."

I somewhat felt my heart break after Devon said that. Knowing that a child lost their parents due to the wrath of Odius pained me.

"If there's one thing I learned from being a Ranger. It's that you can't save everyone, no matter how hard you try." I thought.

"Can I talk to him?" I asked.

"Yeah. But he's very timid. Sweet but timid. He only really talks with us and Nate." Ravi replied.

I only nodded as I carefully walked over to him. "Hey, you're Dacoda, right? I'm Trent." I greeted, sitting down next to him. "What kind of game are you playing?"

"Mario Kart." Dacoda simply replied, his eyes not leaving his Switch.

It's not like he was being rude or anything. I know from experience that it's hard to get used to new people. The alarm blared as Devon, Ravi, and Zoey looked at Nate who just nodded.

I only watched as the three of them headed out. "Well, I better get back to work. It was nice meeting you, Nate. You too, Dacoda." I said.

"You as well, Trent." Nate responded.

I exited the labortory. I knew that Devon, Ravi, and Zoey were the Power Rangers who I met yesterday, and luckily, I saw the location where they were headed on the computer.

I had finally arrived at the location where they were fighting Avatar Blaze and Roxy. "Activate Beast Power!" I shouted, morphing into the Black Ranger.

"Where is the Black Ranger?" Avatar Blaze asked.

"You're really obsessed with me, aren't you?" I interrupted, gaining the attention of my new teammates.

"Evox seems interested in you. For whatever reason." Avatar Roxy informed. "We have orders to capture you."

"Oh my! I didn't know I had a fan! But whoever this Evox person is, tell him I'm not interested. I'm in a relationship." I said sarcastically.

"I'm really starting to like this dude." I heard Devon comment.

I called out my Lion Lance before heading for Avatar Blaze and Roxy, who do the same thing. I was able to hold myself in a fight against both of them pretty well. That is until I was thrown back by Avatar Blaze as I demorphed and fell into some boxes.

"It's deja-vu..." I thought, remembering the same incident happened when I was with the Ninja Steel Rangers.

I quickly morphed again and clashed my lance with Avatar Blaze's weapon. "You're really starting to make me angry, Black Ranger!" He shouted furiously.

"Good. I'm mostly known for making my enemies furious. Nothing new to me." I said before kicking him back.

Avatar Blaze gave me a glare before retreating along with Avatar Roxy. "Well, their boss won't be too happy." I mumbled before looking over at Devon, Ravi, and Zoey.

"You guys okay?" I asked, helping Devon up.

"We're good." Devon responded. "Hey, if I may ask, who exactly—"

"Sorry, gotta go!" I interrupted him and quickly left.

"—Are you..." I finished as Ravi, Zoey, and I watched the Black Ranger disappear. The three of us demorphed before we headed back to the base.

"Any luck on finding the identity of the Black Ranger?" Nate asked us as we walked into the base.

"No. I'm starting to get annoyed. Why won't he show us who he is?" I answered, sighing as I did so.

"I'm more worried about why Evox wants him." Ravi stated.

"Evox is after him?" Nate questioned.

"Yeah. Avatar Blaze and Roxy were ordered to capture the dude." I responded.

"That's not good. If Evox gets his hands on the Black Ranger before us—" Nate began.

"It'll be bad." Ravi finished as Nate nodded.

"Well, our best bet is to find him in his civilian form." Zoey suggested.

"Great idea, Zoey. Except we have no clue where to start." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm surprised you guys haven't figured it out yet." Dacoda spoke up, his eyes not leaving his Switch once more.

All of us looked over to him. "Do you know the identity of the Black Ranger, Dacoda?" Zoey asked.

"I felt weird energy coming off of that Trent guy that was here earlier. He had the same energy you three do, and there was something else mixed with it." Dacoda responded.

"Trent?" I think to myself. "Overall, he seems like a nice guy. I can't really imagine him as the Black Ranger. But he did show up in town suddenly, and just moments after his appearance, the Lion DNA suddenly gets connected with someone?"

My eyes gazed over to Ravi and Zoey. I could tell they were most likely thinking the same thing.

We had to get closer to Trent, because if he is the Black Ranger, we had to get to him before Avatar Blaze and Roxy did.

A/N: There! A new chapter is out! You guys can thank the WONDERFUL person who pressured me into finishing this while I'm sitting in class. I have removed their comments from my message board, because I don't want them getting attacked (unless they comment). Sorry if this is a shitty chapter, it's a result of me feeling rushed.
