Jaycee had quickly gone to Dwight's room, walking in and quickly turning around. "My fault, should've knocked." Jaycee scrunched her face up as she walked in on his shirtless. "Put a damn top on." She breathed out as he did, opening the door for her and closing it behind her. "What are you doing here? You're luckily Laura got lost. Or negan would've killed you."

"We was going to Hilltop, and Tara tried to kill me, chasing me down but we saw a group of saviours." Dwight started to explain as Jaycee crossed her arms over her chest. "They were going right where the group was, I had to reveal myself. Thats when they told me Laura didn't make it back, I thought you didn't make it back, J."

"No, I lost track of her, so I made my way back to Alexandriaโ€”Negan unsuccessfully loosing a fight against Rick." Jaycee shrugged her shoulders. "They thought you were dead, D. And I couldn't say I 'killed' you. But if Laura does turn up out of the blue, then we're both dead."

"That won't happen, I'll kill her myself." Dwight told her as she raised a brow, rolling her eyes at his words. "What? I will."

"Did you get yourself patched up? That will totally leave a scar." She fought against the smirk that was slowly making its way onto her lips. "People just love shooting you in the arm. You still got the scar from my bullet?" She asked with a grin, Dwight rolling his eyes.

"Hey, and you haven't apologised for that, yet." Dwight joined in with the joking as she scoffed.

"Sorry, you decided to bombard me, Daryl, Rosita in the middle of a railway and killed one of our people. Besides, your people shot me first." She pulled down her collar to show the scar on her shoulder. "So, I got my licks back. You'll get yours, one day." She patted his shoulder. "But you won't shoot me, because I'm always getting shot at." She shook her head. "And it hurts like a bitch." She hissed as Dwight grinned at her, shaking his head.

Jaycee had successfully told hilltop the Saviours plan, what they were gonna do to Hilltop and everybody in there. And Adeline was okay, the pair crying over Carl. Jaycee grieved him alone, her daughter on the walkie. Carl was actually dead.

But Jaycee had to protect her people, act like she was a saviourโ€”Negans right hand woman. She hadn't spoken to him since the day before. She didn't want to, because she'd probably kill him for mentioning her daughter dying.

She held her axe in her hand as she stood beside Dwight, looking at Simon. "Listen up!" He spoke to the saviours. "Today is about scaring these people. We're not going for head shots, just flesh wounds. Hit a few, leave 'em livin', let 'em turn." He said as he placed his gun on his shoulder. "But don't kill 'em."

Jaycee rolled her eyes as she turned to Dwight, who nodded over to one of the bikes. The pair made their way over, Dwight getting on the front as Jaycee got behind him, placing her hands on the back of the bike.

"D, J." They both turned at the voice of Simon's voice. Jaycee rolled her eyes once again as she looked over at him. "Negan's handling his work transport so you both can ride with me."

Jaycee muttered a 'kill me', lowering her head as Dwight replied. "Well, we're gonna scout ahead, see if anything's coming our way." He explained, nodding his head.

"Well, considerate though, but we got scouts scouting, right?" Simon tilted his head with a smirk, letting out a chuckle. "Far more expendable soldiers than you two, especially you." He pointed at Jaycee, who nodded her head.

"But, that is not to say you're expendable at all." He said to Dwight. "Listen, ride with me, we make sure you're up to speed on the plan." Simon told Dwight as Jaycee bit back a sigh, getting off of the bike. "It's what negan wants, so I don't know why we're still jawing." He started to back up. "He says, we do." He added as he went to one of the vans.

Jaycee bit her tongue as she turned to Dwight, who nudged her, pulling her along to the truck Simon was in. Jaycee got in first, in the middle of both men. She wanted to headbutt a wall.

Jaycee looked out of the window, the silence awkward. She kept giving side glances to Dwight, who, subtly nudged her.

"What do you two make of this?" Simon spoke up as Jaycee bit down on her tongue, looking at Dwight, then Simon.

"This?" Dwight looked over at Simon, who nodded his head.

"This. Our little road trip?" Simon nodded at the road, Jaycee biting back any sarcastic comments.

"Opportunity to close. Nothing wrong with that." Dwight simply said, leaning his arm on the rolled down window.

"Come on, D." Simon let out a sarcastic scoff. "Let's rap here. Let's get candid." He looked in-between the two. "Nobody here but us chickens. Top guy, to top woman, to top guy." He nodded at them. "I just want to know if, in your analysis's, you believe these people are gonna cower and cave after we deliver what amounts to yet another warning."

"They've never cowered and caved with anything that's come their way, they won't start now because of a few weapons decorated in walker guts." Jaycee shrugged her shoulders as she turned to Simon. "We've seen a hell of a lot worse on the road, hell, almost turned into burgers for cannibals."

"Damn, that's dark." Simon let out a whistle as Jaycee hummed. "I value both of your perspectives, guys. D, you've been on both sides of the iron." Simon said, referring to his face. "Well, if you're both not gonna answer, let me extemporaneously express that I have my doubts this little manoeuvre is gonna deliver the desired outcome."

"You think we should do it different?" Dwight asked with a raised brow, making Simon shake is head.

"No. No, no." He shook his head and hands. "Not at all. The big man's plan will get it done, no question." Simon said as he stopped speaking for a moment, before speaking up again. Jaycee just wanted to throw herself out of the truck. "We've thrown a lot at Rick. The widow, the king, and they just keep coming, keep fighting..."

"That's what they've been doing from the start." Jaycee breathed out, holding onto the bracelet around her wrist. "They don't scare."

They were still in the truck, following the cars in front, Jaycee tapped her fingers on her lap, looking over at Simon, who was looking down one of the alleyways. It was a car, moving their way. But Simon didn't say anything, knowing negan was behind them.

Then, a crash was heard behind them and tires screeching. Simon put his foot on the breaks as Jaycee held onto her chair. "What the hell was that?" Arat's voice spoke through the walkie.

"That was negans car." Dwight pointed out as Jaycee leaned over him to look out of the window.

"Jesus, it was." Simon uttered, looking at the left mirror as he reversed the truck.

"Are we gonna follow him, or..." Jaycee raised a brow as Simon got out of the car. "Okay, guess not." Herself and Dwight got out of the car, following behind Simon, who lifted his hand at the saviours coming their way.

"Woah! Stand down." He told the saviours. "No runnin' off without a plan. Car hit negan's, pushing him off the road." He informed them. "They headed that way. Couldn't have gotten far." He pointed to the right.

"Then, what are we waiting for?" Arat asked, clearly wanting to go help her leader.

"It was just one, lone driver. I think negan can handle 'em." Jaycee slowly nodded her head, shaking a look with Simon, who nodded his headโ€”approving her words.

"But just in case, Dwight, Jaycee and I'll go check it out." Simon added, Jaycee raising a brow as she turned to Dwight. She didn't sign up for 'saving Negan' duty, again.

"All right, we can back you up and-"

"No." Simon cut Arat off. "This might be a ploy to divide our forces and we're not gonna let that happen, not when we're so close to the master stroke." Simon grinned as Jaycee's sighed, holding onto her gun. "I turned my truck to make sure no one comes in this way." He then pointed to Gary. "Gary, I want you to do the same down that end." He pointed to the end of the road, Gary nodding his head. Simon then turned to Arat. "You're in charge. Keep everyone I'm right, create a perimeter, cut down anything that comes close."

Simon then nodded at Dwight and Jaycee as he started to walk, making the pair share a look before following Simon.

Jaycee held her gun in her hands, looking around for any sort of movement. They had been walking for a while, no sight of Negan.

"You must've thought about it, clipping him yourself." Simon spoke up as Jaycee turned to him, raising a brow. "Both of you."

"You mean when he took my wife?" Dwight spoke up first, stopping in his tracks. "Or burned my face? Nah." He sarcastically shook his head. "Never thought about that. Not once."

"Yeah, and when he killed my friends in front of me and their family. Totally not had multiple fantasies of killing him." Jaycee said sarcastically, a sarcastic grin on her face as she walked forward with Dwight.

"But you both didn't because you chose to survive." Simon caught up to them as Jaycee rolled her eyes. "Instead of focusing on past discomforts. You're both adults. You did what you had to live." He pointed at them both. "And yet our leader is not doing the same. If it was my call..." he breathed out as Jaycee raised a brow. Did Simon want negan dead? "We'd say enough. We'd branch out, we'd find new places, we'd make new relationships. We'd make sure the saviours survive, as you chose to. And we'd move on from the past discomforts as you...wisely chose to."

"Are you trying to say you want Negan dead?" Jaycee raised a brow at Simon, crossing her arms over her chest. "As In your leader, who would bash your brains out if he heard you say this, dead?"

Dwight scoffed at Simon, who didn't reply to Jaycee's comment. "We just move on?" He asked Simon, raising his hand.

And Simon nodded his head. "We just move on." He looked at the two before starting to walk again.

Jaycee turned to Dwight, her brows raised. Simon wanted negan dead, it was clear as day. The pair continued to follow Simon, coming to a holt as they saw two cars, completely wrecked.

The three walked over to the flipped car, which was Negan's car. Jaycee carefully moved towards the car, her gun raised. "Could be his." Simon said, referring to the blood that was splattered all in the car.

Jaycee slowly crouched down, aiming her gun into the car as she looked into it. She looked at the bucket that had tipped over, full of walker guts. "Or, maybe..." Jaycee breathed out as she stood up, turning to the two. "The bucket of walker guts he brought with him. Lucille is gone, so, he's here somewhere." Jaycee explained as she walked back over to them.

"He could be anywhere, alive or dead." Simon said as they looked around. "Somewhere in between." Jaycee turned to the other car, realising it was one of her peoples car. Who had hit into negan? "Just 'cause he walked away doesn't mean he's breathing." Dwight moved to stand beside Jaycee, looking over at the other car. "We can keep looking maybe find him more alive than dead, but then what?" Simon walked towards the pair. "We could face a distasteful moment." He said, biting on his bottom lip.

"Or we could walk away." Jaycee looked up at Simon with a frown. "Get back to our people and make things even better. This is a critical point in our history, guys. This is something we could tell our grandkids about." He added as Jaycee looked back at Negans destroyed car.

Neither of them said anything, Dwight pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up, taking a puff out of it before flicking it at Negan's car, making it burst into flames.

Simon turned to Dwight, Jaycee's eyes staying on the flames. "Good answer." Jaycee had a feeling negan wasn't dead. He seemed like he couldn't die, had many lives like a goddamn cat.
