Chapter 1: Summer with the Weasley's
Lucy's POV
I'm humming a random song as I pet Cheshire, my cat, while lying on my bed. Today is the day I'm going to Ron's house, The Burrow, and I'm so excited! Hermione, Ron and I are owling each other, but none came from Harry.
Merlin, how I miss him! I miss his tantalizing eyes, his jet black, messy hair, his legendary scar, his kissable lips that you just can't resist to- woah..woah.. Hang on there! I do not have a crush on Harry!
Well, maybe I do. Just a little bit. Hehehe..
Anyway, I wonder why he's not responding to my letters...
Perhaps he's busy. But busy on doing what?
Back to present, I heard a doorbell, a creak and my Aunt talking to someone.
"Hello! Can I help you?"
"Yes, my name is Arthur. Do Emmie Brooks and Lucy Conner live here?" A man kindly asked. Wow, I'm eavesdropping.
"Yes, that's right. What do I owe the pleasure?"
"I'm Ron, Ma'am. Remember, at the Hogwarts Express? Lucy's friend?" Some boy asked. Wait, Ron? As in Ron Weasley?!
I bolted up on my bed and carried my cat on the way downstairs. I gasped.
"Ron!" I called. The man, who I think he's father, Ron and Auntie looked at me. Ron grinned and waved. I hurried down, put my cat down and hug him tightly.
"God, I miss you!" He chuckled. I let go and turned to look at his father. He's a ginger, too!
"Hi, Sir! My name is Lucy, Lucy Conner." I politely greeted. He beamed and shook my hand.
"Hello! I'm Arthur Weasley. Dear, you're very pretty, I might say!" I grinned. "Are your things already packed?"
"Ready, Eveready Fully Charge!" I replied cheerfully. He laughed and ruffled my hair.
"Well, go get it." I immediately went to my bedroom and yanked out my red luggage. I went down and hugged my Aunt Emmie.
"I love you. Have fun!" She said. We released and Mr. Weasley put my luggage into their car's trunk.
"Oh, I will surely have fun. Bye!" I waved. I turned around. The car is a small light blue colored...car.
Yeah.
We get in. I sat besides Ron and Mr. Weasley, obviously, in the driver's seat. He started the engine and we took off.
"Did Harry replied to any of your letters?" I asked hopefully, but faded when he shook his head.
Why wasn't he responding?!
"No." We chatted along the ride. Quidditch, Chocolates and hogwarts. Mr. Weasley soon joined our conversation about muggles.
"They're quite fascinating, in my opinion." He said. "Sorry to ask you, Lucy, but what is the function of a telephone?" I blinked and smiled before answering.
"Telephone is a device muggles used to contact each other in far distances." He's in awe.
I think Mr. Weasley and I will often talk about it. He's really interested in muggles!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I can see the Burrow from the car's window besides me.
Woah.. ITS COMPLETELY AMAZING! I'd give anything for a house like that!
The car stopped and I immediately opened the door and went out. Ron carried my luggage out of the trunk and stood beside me.
"Its not much, but its home." He shrugged ashamed. I stared at him like he lost his 'marbles'.
"Are you joking?! This is wickedly awesome!" I exclaimed. He beamed.
"Now, Lucy. Let's go inside, shall we?" Ron courtly bowed. I giggled and bowed as well.
"We shall." They lead me to the door and opened it. A short-plump woman came in front and welcomed us.
"Welcome, Dear! I'm Molly Weasley. You're Lucy, am I right?" She kindly asked. I nodded.
"Yes, ma'am!"
"Come in! You're just in time, the food's ready." She ushered us in. I looked around wide eyes.
"She's very pretty." I heard Mrs. Weasley whispered to Mr. Weasley.
"Very pretty, indeed." He replied. I headed to their living room and saw Fred, Goerge and a little red-headed girl.
"Hi, Fred and George!" I greeted. They smiled and greeted me back. I turned to the girl.
"And who might you be?" She's so cute and adorable! She seems shy, though.
"Ginny weasley." She answered shyly. I smiled.
"Hi! I'm Lucy Conner. Are you coming to Hogwarts, this year?" She nodded.
"Food is ready!" Mrs. Weasley shouted from the kitchen. I dashed to the kitchen. Don't blame me. I'm starving!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm currently sitting here on the bed at Ginny's room. Everything is nice here with the Weasley's, but I can't stopped myself from missing Hermione and Harry. Especially Harry.
I'm more worried about Harry because he's not writing back. Merlin, what's happening to me?!
I sighed. An idea hit me. I got up and searched for the twins. I found them at the backyard.
"Fred, George," I started smiling sweetly at them. They looked at each other nervously.
"Yes, Lucy?"
"I was wondering if you could teach me how to prank, since you two are the experts in doing it?" I asked hopefully. Their eyes lit up like a christmas lights and nodded eagerly. I grinned.
This is going to be fun!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Is it ready?" I whispered to Fred and George. We're hiding behind a wall. They smirked and nodded.
"Of course! This is a brilliant idea, Lucy." Fred complimented. I smiled cockily. Our attention went to Ron who's eating. Pig.
I pulled out my wand and pointed it at the food he's eating which is a pumpkin pie.
"Araneolus." I muttered. The food became little spiders. Ron's biggest fear. Don't ask me how I know...
"AAAHHH!" Ron fell out of his seat as the spiders crawled to him. The twins and I stiffled a laugh. I pointed my wand at the spiders, suddenly feeling bad for Ron, although its quite funny.
"Araneolus Evanesca." The spiders dissappeared. I can't hold my laughter anymore. I'm laughing so hard with the twins on the ground. Ron noticed us and approached us angrily.
"You! You think this is funny, you gits?!" His nostrils flared. This made me laugh more.
"You-" Laugh. "Look-" Laugh. "Like-" Laugh. "An angry-" Laugh. "Bull!" I panted. Fred and George howled with laughter.
"I can't believe that you're with them, Lucy! I thought we're Best Friends!" He stared at me in disbelief. I sighed heavily to prevent my laughter. I put my one arm around his shoulders. He struggled but soon relaxed.
"Ronnie-kins," I started, teasing him. He struggled again.
I guess I'm making the situation worse...
"Ok, ok! I'm sorry. But I just want to try pranking. It seems fun, and it is." I explained softly. "And besides, I promise that, that will be the last time and I will never EVER prank you again. Cross my heart." I did the 'Cross my Heart' sign. Thankfully, Ron sighed in defeat, and nodded.
"Fine. But don't do it again! That includes the two of you." Ron said firmly. We grinned and nodded. He went away shaking his head. I faced Fred and George.
"That was brilliant!" We chorused and High Five each other. I swear, they're the coolest twins I've ever met!
Not that I've met any before.

Third Person's POV
The Second Floor Window of Number 4. Harry Potter sits in the window.
Harry pages through a Scrapbook, stops on a moving photo of Ron, Hermione and Lucy. SQUAWK!
Harry jumps. HEDWIG pecks at the LOCK slung through her cage door, then glowers at Harry. He sighed.
"I can't, Hedwig." He said exasperatedly. "I'm not allowed to use magic outside of school. Besides, if Uncle Vernon -" At the sound of the name, HEDWIG SQUAWKS again.
"Harry Potter!" Uncle Vernon yelled downstairs. Harry closed his eyes annoyed.
"Now, you've done it." He got and went downstairs gloomily.
While Aunt Petunia puts the finishing touches to a Pudding of Whipped Cream and Sugar Violets, Uncle Vernon struggles with Dudley's bow tie, all the while glowering at Harry.
"I warned you. If you can't control that bloody bird, it'll have to go." He said firmly.
"She's bored. If I could just let her out for an hour or two.." Harry trailed off.
"And have you sending secret messages to your freaky little friends? No, sir."
"But I haven't gotten any messages. From any of my friends. Not one. All summer." Harry replied sadly.
"Who'd want to be friends with you?" Dudley rudely butted in and purposely bumped him with his shoulder. Harry rubbed it.
"I should think you'd be more grateful. We raise you since you were a baby, give you food off our table, even let you have Dudley's second bedroom... purely out of the goodness of our hearts." Uncle vernon stated.
"I thought he got the second bedroom because Mum was afraid he'd turn us into dung beetles if you put him back in the cupboard under the stairs." Dudley foolishly said.
Aunt Petunia stops cold, exchanges a dark look with Uncle Vernon, then sees Dudley extending a finger for the pudding. She slapped his finger.
"Not yet, popkin. That's for when the Masons arrive." She scolded.
"Which should be any moment. Now. Let's run through our schedule one more time. Petunia, when the Masons get here, you will be --"
"In the lounge, waiting to welcome them graciously to our home."
"Good. And Dudley?"
"I'll be waiting to open the door." Dudley answered in a posh accent.
"Excellent." Uncle vernon exclaimed. Then, all of them turned and approached Harry, distastefully. "And you?"
"I'll be in my bedroom, making no noise and pretending I don't exist."
"Too right you will. With any luck, this could well be the day make the biggest deal of my career."
The door bell rings. Instantly, Uncle Vernon shoves Harry out of the kitchen and into the hallway.
"Upstairs! Hurry!"

Lucy's POV (the next day)
I woke by the angry voice of Mrs. Weasley downstairs.
"WHERE... HAVE... YOU... BEEN?!" She yelled. It seems that she's scolding someone.
I groaned and covered my head with my pillow. But what she said next suprised me.
"Harry! How wonderful to see you." Harry?! I quickly got up and headed downstairs quietly.
"Beds empty! No note! Car gone! You could've died! You could've been seen! I don't blame you, of course, dear." Her sudden change of tone curious me, so I halted and hid behind a wall.
Wait a minute. Car?! Yes, I knew that Mr. Weasley's car is enchanted. It can fly. He told me a few days ago. I wonder what they did to it.
I didn't noticed that I zoned out. My bad.
"You best hope I don't put-" I decided to butted in. I unhid myself and stood infront of Mrs. Weasley, blocking the four boys.
"Um.. Mrs. Weasley..I-..uh.. D-do you remember the apple pie that you gave me a few d-days ago? Um.. I-i delivered it to my A-aunt Emmie, 'cause I know she loves pies. And she gave me a l-letter that she loved it and she's willing to p-pay you for more." I said in a hurry.
Its the truth, you know.
She looked stunned and slowly grinned.
"Really? Oh, tell her thank you very much and I will make many pies just for her!" She happily said and dashed to the kitchen. I sighed in relief, including the boys behind me.
"Thanks, Lucy. You're a life saver!" Ron said exclaimed. I faced them slowly with an angry and tired expression. They tensed.
"The two of you," I pointed to the twins. "If you don't wanna be involved, OUT." They instantly left.
"You two," I glared at Ron and Harry who's trembling. Ha! "Upstairs. Ginny's bedroom. NOW." I ordered.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm pacing here in Ginny's bedroom while Ron and Harry are explaining about the flying car.
"-and there were bars on Harry's window-" I stopped and spinned my head to look at them.
"WHAT?!" I screamed, shocked that his foul, evil uncle would lock him up. I just noticed that he became thinnier than the last time I saw him. That made me fume.
"Um..i-.." Harry mumbled. I flung my arms around him which caught him by surprised, but hugged me back. Ron cleared his throat.
"I'll be downstairs. I don't want to intrude to you, guys." He left us.
"I'm sorry Harry! I didn't know. Oh, look at you," I released. "So skinny! I swear, they're the worst muggles ever, even though I haven't met them before. I'm really sorry, Harry! I shouldn't-" He put his hand on my mouth.
"Its fine. I understand. Don't cry, please." He pleaded as he wiped my tears.
"Sorry. Its just, I missed you." I smiled softly. He returned it but wider. I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the kitchen.
"Come on! Mrs. Weasley makes the most delicious food in the whole world!" I exclaimed cheerfully. We're now downstairs. He chuckled.
"I guess. Based on your cheerfulness." I grinned and kissed him on the cheek. He blushed beet red.
"Happy birthday." I whispered.
