day 14, 14/20 kisses

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

Amanda turned on the television while reading her book. She had woken up too early and decided to just read, and she put the television on low volume because she didn't want to disturb the exhausted Ginny. Then, she saw an owl at the window and she grinned immediately knowing who it came from.

I left it near your flat. You have the keys, right? If I see a scratch, a Bat Bogey Hex won't be enough.

Daph

Amanda rolled her eyes at her cousin's antics before she quickly wrote a thank you and attached it to the leg of the owl. As the owl flew away, then she heard a door opening and looked back to see Ginny rubbing her eyes and walking to the kitchens for a glass of water.

"Morning." Ginny mumbled, still sleepy.

Amanda smiled softly at how she adorable she looked. "Did you stay up late?"

Ginny did not answer and simply went to the bathroom to freshen up. While she was in the bathroom, Amanda checked the time and sat up, feeling excited for the day but a little nervous to ask Ginny to come with her. The door to the bathroom opened and Ginny came out, all sleepiness out of her body. She sat beside Amanda with a huge space in between them and started searching for an interesting movie in the channels.

Amanda cleared her throat. "Hey, Gin, let's go out."

"I don't want to." Ginny muttered under her breath. "I feel tired."

"Let's go to the Muggle mall you like." Amanda's words made Ginny stop scrolling through the channels and look at Amanda. She knew Amanda hated going to the mall especially since there were too many people.

Ginny just shrugged before turning back to the television. "Go ask Eliza, I think she would like to go."

"Merlin's beard, Gin. I'm asking you out to a date." Amanda raised her voice slightly and that surprised Ginny. The Ravenclaw burst out laughing at the wide-eyed expression on Ginny's face. "I mean, we never really went out on an actual date. Since we don't have work today, let's go out. Don't worry, it's all on me."

Ginny pursed her lips in thought of Amanda's offer. She really did not have anything to do for the day, and so, she decided to go out with Amanda. She smiled at the older girl. "Okay then. Let's go. But how are we going to get there? Westfield's far from here, and we can't really Apparate."

"I got that, don't worry." Amanda said reassuringly. "Let's go out by 11, all right? I'll just read something." Amanda went back to her room, and Ginny watched her go with a smile on her face before checking the time. It was still 8 in the morning, and she started watching her movies again, but Ginny felt happiness and excitement for what Amanda had planned. Hopefully, it was worth it.

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

"You bought a car yesterday?" Ginny's eyes widened as she stared at the car outside their building. "That's where you went to?"

Amanda rolled her eyes and unlocked the car. "I don't have that much money, darling. This is my cousin's car. Daphne. I just borrowed it for today." She went to the passenger side and opened the door. "Your carriage awaits, princess."

"Shut it." Ginny rolled her eyes and entered the car. Amanda closed it carefully and ran to the driver's side. She turned on the engine and the air conditioner. She turned to look at her side and saw that Ginny was all ready.

"Oh Ginny." Amanda frowned and shook her head.

"What is it?" Ginny tilted her head in confusion.

Amanda let out a sigh. "You forgot how it goes. This is when I lean in to fasten your seatbelt and you give me a kiss. It looks like you haven't read the story yet."

Ginny blushed slightly and smacked the older girl on the arm. "Shut up! You and your imagination."

"Didn't you always want to live in a movie? I'm helping you live your dream?"

"And I'm going to leave this car if you don't start driving." Ginny put her hand on the handle.

"Okay, okay. Honestly, woman." Amanda chuckled softly before starting to drive. Ginny glanced at the smiling Auror and she did not notice her own smile spreading across her face. It was definitely worth it.

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

Amanda and Ginny finally arrived at the mall, and Amanda looked around for a parking spot. "Why don't you go on, Gin? I'll just look for a spot."

"But do you even know where the stores are?" Ginny asked her.

"I don't." Amanda smiled sheepishly.

Ginny shook her head in amusement and leaned back in her seat. "Go on, I'll just come with you." Amanda nodded and luckily, they found a spot right away.

As they went out of the car, Amanda saw a wall of graffiti that seemed like it was made for pictorials. "That's a masterpiece, it is."

"What is?" Ginny turned around and her jaw dropped in awe of the beautiful art.

"I think I have a camera. Do you want to take a picture?" Amanda asked, about to go to the car.

"No, it's fine. Maybe later then. Let's go?" Ginny asked.

Amanda checked the car one more time for their valuables before nodding. "Are you sure you don't want to take a picture yet?"

"I'm fine, Ada." Ginny chuckled at her. "Now, come on, let's go around the mall."

"Your wish is my command, darling." Amanda said teasingly. They entered the mall with Ginny smiling and rolling her eyes.

"So, where do you want to go first?" Ginny asked her.

Amanda looked around for a moment, seeing that it was not that crowded. She felt relieved at that. "I'll just follow you. I don't really know where to go anyways."

"Are you sure?" Ginny asked, a little worried that the older girl might be bored.

"Yes, Gin. This is a date, so I'll go wherever you will go." Amanda said reassuringly.

Ginny was about to say something before she just sighed and started walking ahead of Amanda. "Let's go then, slowpoke."

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

"Ginny that's your 7th dress already." Amanda rubbed her forehead while looking at Ginny who was looking at another dress.

"Why are you complaining? It's just the 7th." Ginny continued looking for dresses.

"What do you mean it's just the 7th?" Amanda exclaimed with wide eyes. "It's the 7th dress and the 4th store!" She gave the bags she had been holding another heave. She wondered how she could have forgotten that once Ginny started shopping, there was no end to it.

"Yeah, okay. So what do you think about this?" Ginny held out another dress for Amanda to see.

Amanda stared at it for a moment before nodding. "It would look good on you, Ginny."

Ginny sighed at her response. "That's what you've been saying since the first dress!"

"Is it my fault every dress fits you perfectly? Is it my fault you're beautiful?" Amanda rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." Ginny scoffed though there was a slight blush on her cheeks. "I'm going to look for someone else. I need actual help."

"I helped just fine." Amanda protested. "I told you the one with the green beads made you look like a Christmas tree."

"And I still need actual help." Ginny said dismissively before turning back to the racks of dresses. Amanda just sighed before she sat down at one of the chairs, mentally asking for help from anyone who could. She did love spending time with Ginny, but shopping with her was just stressful. Amanda wasn't that good after all in knowing what dresses were nice or not. She just knew every dress fit Ginny perfectly. Well, maybe except for the green one. Amanda knew that was just terrible.

Amanda looked at the clock and saw that it was already 30 minutes past 12. It was already time for lunch. She was about to call out to Ginny, but she stopped and smiled softly, seeing how happy Ginny looked as she checked out the dresses. She couldn't help but feel lucky to be able to spend her time with Ginny like this. Any person who could be with Ginny like this should be grateful to have this opportunity.

Amanda's thoughts drifted off to their deal, and no matter how much she tried convincing herself of the opposite, she knew that there was a low possibility that Ginny would fall for her. She would probably become Minister of Magic first before Ginny would love her in the same way. Then, Amanda remembered the letter that came for her last night, and she knew that she could only hope instead. She was so close to accepting the offer, and in her heart, there was some part of her pleading for Ginny to do the impossible.

"You've been staring at her." Amanda was broken out of her thoughts when someone spoke beside her. She saw that it was one of the staff.

"Sorry? What was that?" Amanda said politely.

"You've been staring at her." The girl, Emma as said on her nametag, chuckled. "Is she your girlfriend?"

Amanda glanced at Ginny who was still looking for a dress. She chuckled softly and shook her head. "No, we're just best friends."

Emma scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Best friends? Now that sounds like a joke."

Amanda stopped looking at Ginny and turned to Emma with curiosity. "What do you mean?"

"Have you seen how you look at her?" Emma chuckled slightly. "You look at her with so much love I'm surprised she doesn't know yet. It's kind of disgusting."

Amanda laughed loudly at the girl. She felt comfortable talking to Emma, and that surprised her since she was not one to talk to strangers. Maybe it was because Emma looked approachable and kind or maybe it was because she reminded Amanda of Hermione. Amanda looked down at the ground with a bitter smile. Was she that obvious in how she felt for Ginny that even strangers could see it? "It's just me though."

Emma started laughing at her. She squeezed Amanda's shoulder. "Dear me, love. You don't know what you're talking about. Have you seen how she looks at you? She looks at you just the same way. With so much love that it's starting to disgust me."

Amanda looked up at her in confusion. "Wait, what? What do you mean?"

"But please do tell her not that dress." Emma shook her head and sighed. "Where is Bonnie? I told her to not put up that abomination anymore." Emma sent her one last smile before walking around and looking for Bonnie. Amanda glanced at Ginny who was holding the green dress that was so terrible. Her eyes widened and she lifted the bags once more and walked to Ginny who was on her way to the counter.

"Oi, Ginny. What do you think are you doing?" Amanda did not dare look at the dress for how ugly it was. She looked at Ginny with frustration.

Ginny raised an eyebrow at her. "I'm buying this dress."

Amanda blinked once. "Could you repeat that please?"

"I'm going to buy this dress." Ginny held up the dress.

"Out of all the dresses you've tried on, you choose that one?" Amanda said incredulously. "It's terrible Gin! It looks like slugs put together to make a Christmas tree." Her voice died down because she saw two people outside the store. What were the chances for Harry and Jason to be at the mall at the same day they were?

Amanda turned back to Ginny and took the dress from her. Just as she was about to put it back on the rack, someone grabbed it from her. Emma smiled at them. "Hello, Miss. I'm sorry but this dress is not available. There are better and more decent dresses in here. Kindly raise your standards. Thank you very much."

Amanda was about to laugh at Ginny's dumbstruck expression before she saw that Harry and Jason were about to enter the store. She pulled Ginny out of the store and ran away from it.

"Amanda Faye, what are you doing? I haven't bought anything yet." Ginny tried pulling away from Amanda. Amanda saw that the people were looking around at them. She noticed that they were a good distance away from the store and let go of her roommate.

"Saving you from that terrible dress." Amanda said and smiled slightly at her.

Ginny scoffed before glaring at her. "I don't need saving from anything. Don't know why you went out when you were having fun with the staff from the store." Amanda's eyes widened at her attitude. Why was she so mad? Did she... No, never mind. She was about to say something when Ginny turned back to go to the store.

"Hey, that's enough. Come on." Amanda pulled her away once more.

Ginny glared at her. "Let go! I want to buy that dress, and you're not stopping me."

"If you go back, I'm going to kiss you." Amanda's threat made Ginny blush and stop walking. Amanda chuckled at her best friend's reaction. "Damn, Ginevra. Do you really hate my kisses that much?" Ginny smacked her on the arm and blushed even more.

Amanda just laughed at the younger girl before she started pulling Ginny in a different direction. "Now come on, it's time to eat lunch, and you've been trying on Merlin knows how many dresses for the past hour."

Ginny was about to retort when her stomach spoke for her and gave a loud rumble. Amanda laughed loudly at her best friend and ruffled her hair. "Of course you'd be hungry after all that dressing up. Now, let's go! It's all on me." And with that, she and Ginny started looking for a restaurant.

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

"Godric, Amanda Faye. That's your-" Ginny paused to count the plates by Amanda's side. "That's your fifth plate of steak." She was starting to feel shy because the other people in the restaurant were looking around at them. She thought it was because Amanda had a stack of plates beside her.

"Cut me some slack, Gin. I need to eat because I'm in for a long day." Amanda said teasingly while eating her steak happily. Ginny just looked down at her own plate to avoid the gazes of the Muggles. It was probably their first time seeing someone eat like this. Though she felt a little guilty for keeping too long and starving her roommate, she couldn't help but think that her best friend had a monster in her stomach.

Ginny did not try stopping Amanda because she was the one who was buying their lunch anyways. She felt even more embarrassed when the waiter kept on coming back to their table as if he knew that Amanda wasn't done yet. As Amanda was about to finish her fifth plate of steak, the waiter came back once more thought a bit hesitant. "Would you like to order something else?"

Amanda was about to answer when Ginny beat her to it. "No, we're good. Thank you." The waiter smiled at them before going back to the other customers. Ginny glared at Amanda. "Ada, don't tell me you're ordering another steak?"

Amanda stopped eating and grinned at Ginny. "I think I'd like that." She turned around to look for the waiter. "Excuse me?"

"Stop that!" Ginny whispered before kicking Amanda and glaring at her. "You've eaten so much already, and people are looking at us."

"I was just going to order some dessert." Amanda pouted and rubbed her foot.

Ginny's eyes softened and she smiled at the older girl. Amanda waved her hand for the bill and Ginny started taking her purse out.

Amanda frowned at her. "Woah, what are you doing?"

"I'm taking my purse out." Ginny waved her purse. "Let's split our bill."

"Don't worry about it." Amanda said dismissively. "I said it's on me." Ginny was about to say something when Amanda pulled out her wallet and gave the money to the waiter. "Keep the change."

Amanda raised an eyebrow at Ginny before she pulled her up and went on their way. Ginny frowned at her. "You shouldn't have done that. I know you said it was on you, but I could've spilt the bill with you."

"A kiss would suffice, Gin. That's enough." Amanda said teasingly before moving out of the way when Ginny raised her hand to smack her. Amanda took Ginny's raised hand before looking around for a place to have dessert. Ginny smiled softly at the excited look on Amanda's face. She was glad she went out because she knew it would have been boring in their flat if Amanda was not there with her. She felt lucky because she had Amanda in her life.

"Hey, come on, Gin! What are you waiting for?" Amanda smiled at her and gave a tug on her hand. "I think I'm craving some crepes. Is that fine with you?"

"Yes, crepes are fine." Ginny could only sigh. "Are you seriously not full yet?"

"I'm hungry, Gin." Amanda pouted at her. "And I haven't eaten crepes in a long time. Now, come on!"

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

Amanda sighed when they entered another store. She was thinking that she should have just brought Ginny to Diagon Alley instead. Ginny was looking for clothes again, and Amanda asked her why she kept on buying clothes if she already had so many. Ginny said she didn't have enough clothes.

Amanda suddenly looked around and her eyes lit up at what she saw. She ran to Ginny who was holding another top and pulled the younger girl out of the store.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Ginny glared at her best friend. "That was a nice top."

"You're gonna love this better than clothes." Amanda grinned at her.

"What is more –" Ginny stopped speaking when she saw where they were. She smiled widely at the store of chocolate. She started jumping up and down and smiled at Amanda. "Chocolates!"

"I told you so!" Amanda chuckled at her as Ginny pulled her into the store. "Take all your time, darling. You can get all the chocolate you need." The two of them walked around the store and took all the chocolates they needed. Amanda was not much of a person who liked sweets, but seeing Ginny smile like that? It was definitely worth it.

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

"Godric, Gin." Amanda grumbled under her breath while fixing her hold on the bags Ginny got from the mall. "You've got clothes to last you a lifetime."

"Oh, lay off me. It's been months since we've been to the mall." Ginny rolled her eyes.

"And it's too much, Gin! Honestly, woman." Amanda grumbled once more, but Ginny just sighed because she saw the smile on the older girl's face.

"Then, it's good I have you for this lifetime, right? Now speed up." Ginny tapped Amanda's cheek teasingly and started walking faster. She did not see how Amanda's face faltered slightly at her words before she shook herself out of her thoughts and grinned.

"Hey, wait for me, Gin!" Amanda shouted and started running after her. Oh, how deeply in love she was with Ginny to do everything for her. Ginny stopped when they were in front of the car to wait for her roommate. She tried to help Amanda in carrying the bags, but Amanda just sent the younger girl a glare before holding the bags closer to her.

Amada was panting as she arrived at the car, and Ginny immediately took some of the bags in Amanda's hands and she nodded her head to the car. Amanda took out the keys and unlocked the car. They put in the bags inside the trunk and Ginny took out her chocolates from the bags. She wanted to have some for dessert.

"Hey, Ada. Let's go to the wall of art now." Ginny looked around for the wall.

Amanda let out a sigh. "Right now?"

"Yes, right now. You kept on asking to take a picture a while ago." Ginny raised an eyebrow.

"But I'm tired, Gin." Amanda sighed once more. "Why don't we take one next time? We can go tomorrow or the weekend." Ginny just rolled her eyes at her. Amanda cleared her throat and looked at the Chaser who nodded her head in the direction of the wall. Amanda gave Ginny the puppy eyes and pouted at her.

"You know I don't fall for that." Ginny laughed at her and ruffled the taller girl's hair. "Now, come on. Stand up, and let's take a picture, shall we?"

Amanda continued pouting at her but her face fell when she saw two people. Of all times, they'd come now. She glanced at Ginny who was looking at her in confusion on how long it was taking for Amanda to answer. Then she noticed how Amanda's gaze was moving to something behind her.

"Wait, why aren't you saying anything?" Ginny raised an eyebrow. "What are you even looking at?" She started turning around and Amanda started panicking. She hoped that Ginny would not kill her after what she would do. She pulled Ginny behind a pillar near their parking spot.

"What are you doing–" Ginny was cut off because Amanda crashed their lips together in a passionate kiss. Ginny's eyes widened as Amanda closed hers. She wrapped her arms around Ginny's waist and pulled the younger girl closer. She just hoped that no one would see them there because she knew Ginny would kill her even more. But what surprised Amanda was when Ginny started moving her lips against Amanda's.

Amanda realized she wasn't kissing back and did so immediately. The kisses she shared with Ginny were what Amanda would never get tired of. She anticipated every kiss she had with Ginny. Kissing Ginny's soft lips was something she always dreamed of, and since the first time they kissed, she knew she fell even harder than she already had. How could she go on with already experiencing the feeling of Ginny's lips? How could she go on with the thought that she only had 6 kisses left, and she would not have the chance to kiss her lips again after their deal no matter how much she wanted to.

Amanda poured in all of the emotions she had been holding in and started nibbling on Ginny's lower lip. As Ginny kissed her back and felt Amanda's teeth nibble on her lip, she couldn't help the small moan from escaping her mouth. Amanda pulled away immediately at the sound and the two of them blushed so bad and avoided each other's gaze.

Ginny looked down at the ground and saw her plastic of chocolates have fallen down from her hand. Amanda noticed it too and grabbed the plastic, clearing her throat. "H-Here. Let's go home now, shall we?" Amanda handed her the plastic without a glance at Ginny. Ginny simply nodded before taking the plastic from Amanda. Amanda looked around if Harry and Jason were still there and let out a sigh of relief when they were gone. She opened the door for Ginny who entered quickly and closed the door.

Amanda went to her side of the car and tried to forget the memory of the small sound Ginny made a while ago. She fiddled with her seatbelt that she couldn't fasten properly and took in a deep breath to calm herself down from the thoughts that were running through her head.

Amanda could feel Ginny looking at her, and she gave her seatbelt one last pull before starting the engine and driving away. As they drove away, Ginny's eyes widened when she saw Harry and Jason at the wall and she smiled softly. So, that was why she did that.

Sure, she was an idiot sometimes, but she understood why Amanda kept on glancing behind her when they were there and why she suddenly kissed Ginny. She understood why Amanda pulled her away from the store. Then, Ginny's thoughts drifted off to their passionate kiss and she blushed when she remembered the moan she had accidentally let out. What was she thinking? Amanda was a great kisser, but why did she make that sound? Ginny just sighed and looked out the window, not taking the awkward silence.

Amanda turned on the radio to lessen the awkwardness of the atmosphere but it just turned more awkward when Careless Whisper played.
