I swallow hard as Oleana sits at her desk, cleared of all paperwork, perhaps so she can really look at us. Leon sits beside me, hands linked together in his lap. "What's this about?" I question, "As you may know the Ex-Chairman has been apprehended," She starts with a shaky breath, "As you may also know, he left us with quite a mess." She continues. I hum thumbs brushing over my leather binder, one that holds the documents I've kept safe since I've started this job.
"What we need to figure out is, what's going to happen from here." She sums up, "First and foremost we have to find a new Chairman for the League. Then figure out what's going to happen to all the Chairman assets given that he didn't list anyone to inherit them. Not to mention who's going to take over Macro Cosmos." She lists off stressfully. "I think...I can help." I mumble, unzipping my binder and pulling out a stack of papers. "Before I offer this to you I want to nominate Leon to be the Chairman of the PokΓ©mon League of Galar." I demand, "(y/n)!" Leon yelps, "Done," Oleana answers. "Hey wait!" Leon states sitting up in his chair, "It's a perfect kick start to your dream Leon, not to mention that's one thing off Oleana's list," I smile over to him. Leon pauses looking at me in utter awe before turning forward and sitting straight in his chair.
"Now," I breath, placing the paper on the table, "When I threatened Rose for the vacation days, I had these mixed in with it. Unbeknownst to him, they're actually papers to sign off his assets, all they need is a name to go under." I mumble. Oleana's eyes widen as she takes the papers carefully, as if they would turn to dust if she handled them too roughly. "Why do you have those?" Leon mumbles, "I took a page out of my old man's book, insurance." I laugh bitterly. I've always felt sick looking at them, like I was turning into him bit by bit. "I knew Rose wouldn't slide by me forever, so I got these as a means of protection. I never knew they could come in handy here, after I heard that he got arrested I was going to get rid of them. But recent events never really gave me time," I sigh.
"This is highly illegal," Oleana mumbles, I bite my lip and look down at my hands, "But thank Arceus for doing it." She sighs. I nodded, "I think you should take over Macro Cosmos, you mentioned you were the starting researcher for Gigamaxing, and the only one to hold on when you couldn't get anywhere with it before Rose stepped in." I offer with a small smile. "And what do you want?" She questions, "Nothing," I shrug, "When I first got the papers I never intended on keeping it for myself." I muse.
"You deserve something," She quips, "After everything you did to put the Chairman in his place, after everything you've done for the league, for me and the gym leaders. You deserve something." Oleana chides, I bite my lip and look over to Leon who stares right back at something. "Leon deserves something too after all the bullshit he went through with the Chairman. Since he was ten. Leon deserves more than any of us." I argue. "He'll get his cut," She promises, "He's going to get Rose Tower if he wants it." Oleana chimes looking down at the paper. I stare at Leon for an answer, "I wouldn't know how to run something like that." He mumbles. "I'll teach you, it doesn't have to be anything you don't want it to be. Re-shape it into your own image." I smile, "What about you then?" He argues.
"Rose didn't have anything I would want," I scoff, "Not even the Rose of the Rondelands?" he quirks. "It would make a great place to start hosting your own PokΓ© Pageants." He smirks, I glance over to Oleana who watched us, a small sad smile on her face. "Fine, only if you take the tower," I huff, "Deal." He grins. "Then I think that settles it." Oleana chimes, "I didn't think I would be able to handle it all today," She sighs. "My father always said don't do anything illegal if you know you're going to get caught." I grunt, "Who knew the fair Poke Queen had it in her?" Oleana smirks, "Genetics." I shrug.
I smile at Leon, fluffing up the white frilled neck piece that pokes out of his red tail coat, the khaki pants he wears are tucked into the knee high boots I picked out for him. "You look handsome." I smile brushing my hands over the top of his shoulders then down his arms, only to stare at his signature snapback when I move to take his hands. Leon fiddled with it in his hands, "Please?" He offers with a small smile.
I roll my eyes and snatch the hat from his hands before adjusting it on the top of his head. I scoff at the way he looks, "Still handsome." I sigh with a mocking annoyed expression. Leon grins and wraps his arms around my waist before bringing me closer to him, I hum with a small smile and wrap my arms around his neck. "We mustn't be late Chairman Leon," I tease, "I'm sure they can hold out for a few minutes, after all I do tend to get lost." He grins, leaning down and pressing his lips to mine.
