A/N: Blood, death, and mention of suicide will be included in the chapter. Be warned.

The song lyrics above remind me of Gwen's feelings for a certain nerd...
Another thing, I was listening to Fuyu no hanashi from Given on repeat and I'm not okay πŸ₯².

"Rain pattered, filling out the beating drums in her chest. Storm compelled against everything, yet couldn't hide the filling tears that dropped on the bloody chest. Cold yet burning to the touch. Shivered? Trembled? It was blurred.

Desolation? Fury? Confusion?...Fear?

The beautiful greens...were gone...only filling the reflection of the broken above them.

It was dark. Just like every introduction in stories and yet can't describe the cold empty void drowning her slowly as she reached for him. The beating drums against her chest rhythmically pounded her to reality.

The blood on her white dress. It wasn't hers. Her blues desperately looked for the glowing fireflies within his empty soul. Clutching his body to hers, ignoring the now cold drips staining her now-red dress. She pleaded, she screamed, she cried, she shrieked to reach him but was no use.

She was gone..."

Gwen looked blankly at the story Ms. Bustier is reading to the class. She glanced around and saw several students tearing up at the end. She looked down at the pages, and she can hear Kim blowing his nose on a napkin.

"It's sad, isn't it," Ms. Bustier smiled, amused at her students' feelings.

"It can't end like that, can it?" Marinette asked, wiping a stray tear. "All their love and he dies? Did she die too?"

Miss. Bustier smiled, "That's a great question. Would anyone like to answer?"

Max was the first to raise his hand, "I'm 89.7% positive that she passed away too."

The class nodded, agreeing with the boy. Miss Bustier smiled, looking around the class. Her eyes met Gwen's figure who only stared at the last page.

"Gwen? What do you think happened?" she asked.

The class turned to Gwen but she only stared at the page. She looked up and saw the class smiling at her. She looked down at the page, shaking her head. "I don't know."

Ms. Bustier hummed, not believing it. She knew that Gwen is intelligent and would see through the cracks.

"I would like to assign you guys a short summary of what you think the author meant by 'She was gone.' "

Hearing the homework, the class groaned as the bell rang. The class smiled as they filled out and left the school grounds. Everyone chattered as they all left, leaving a distracted Gwen on her desk.

Ms. Bustier noticed how intently Gwen was looking at the last page. She walked up to her, but her steps didn't make Gwen's eyes wander from the page. She sat next to her and only observed the girl.

"Is something wrong?" Miss Bustier asked, glancing at the girl.

She was quiet. She blinked and glanced next to her and back to the page. "She didn't die, did she?"

The teacher smiled, placing a hand on hers. "I don't know...what do you think?"

Gwen stared at her hand, seeing a flicker of blood before vanishing. She sighed, putting the book back in her bag and standing up. "I'll see you tomorrow Miss. Have a good rest of your day." She walked down the steps before being called, making her turn around.

Miss Bustier only smiled at her, "She didn't."

Gwen hummed, shrugging her backpack and walking out of the school to her apartment. She took out her headphones and started listening to piano music, closing her eyes and using her senses to guide her to her home.

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Entering the apartment, she used her keys and opened her almost empty apartment. She started packing everything, placing most of her useless things in boxes. She was leaving in a few days to live with Fu and train with the stones while she figures out a way to get rid of them without killing her.

She glanced to her guest room, using her thumbprint to enter. Gwen stopped as she stared at the machine in front of her. It was small. Could be used as a bracelet.

She did it. She finally finished her transporter.

Using the vibranium that was sent to her, she finally finished the final touches. Yet, she hasn't test tried it. Gwen was worried for many reasons. What if it doesn't work? What if it does work but sends her back in time? What if it does work and sees her father? What if she can't come back?

So many theories terrify her of the outcome. Gwen stopped as she took out her phone, seeing Adrien's face calling her. She bit her lip in thought...not knowing if she should answer. Two days ago, Gwen couldn't help but put space between them.

Her heart kept skipping steps when they were supposed to walk. Her hands sweated every time she sees his smile and it scares her to see him upset. What doesn't help her case is his father.

She knows who his father is...she knows what he has done. Yet, why hasn't she done anything? She has the technology, and the evidence to prove he should be gone.

But what would happen to Adrien? She cursed herself, knocking over her clock off the table to sit on it. She could have done it before just like she's supposed to.

But why does she hesitate? Because he'll end up alone, moving away to a shelter. Away from his friends who he cares for. He'll be alone.

She's the worst. Being selfish to not do anything to stop all the horrors and terrors Paris is going through. Gwen can hardly sleep, thinking of the outcome if he does end up leaving. End up hating her for it.

Oh, how Gwen wishes she never knew.

She wouldn't be feeling hatred towards herself for wanting to be selfish to be by his side. After everything she's been through, he has been her boulder. Helping her carry the chains around her and walking with her through the smoldering fire with a smile on his face.

"Shit," she whispered, placing her hands on her head as Adrien called again. She picked up her phone and answered it. Her heart panged in pain as Adrien smiled at her warmly.

"Hey, Gwendy," he smiled.

"Hi," she whispered, smiling back. She shouldn't be.

"I see you moving again, when are you moving out?" he asked curiously, rummaging through the screen.

"In a few days," she sighed as she jumped to the bed, lifting the phone to see him.

He grinned, "You know, I can come over and help. Just say the word and I'm off."

She chuckled, shaking her head. "If anything, you'll break something."

He shrugged, taking out a textbook. "You can always come over when you're done. I'm going to be doing the homework tonight. To be honest, I think she passed away."

"Who?" Gwen frowned.

"The girl in the story. I don't know what to write and I need help from my nerd," he smirked.

Gwen lightly blushed, looking away.. my nerd. She chuckled, turning back to the boy. "For that little comment, I won't be going," she teased. "I'm almost done with one room. I'll probably get started with the guest room."

He shook his head and smiled, "Okay, I'll see you later?"

"See you later," she smiled as she hung up. Her smile slowly dropped as the screen shut off, showing her reflection on it.

She sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "What can I do?"

The butterfly kwami glanced behind their owner to see the lady leaving the room. Glancing up at their master, they flew away and attempted to fly through the wall.

They gasped as a forcefield topped it from going.

"Where do you think you're going, Nooroo," Gabriel asked, not looking up at his kwami from his work.

"Uh..." it stuttered. "I just wanted to go out...just for a little while."

"No. You know the rules. You're not allowed to be more than a few feet away from me and no communicating with anyone besides me. There are no exceptions."

Nooroo's eyes widened. "But Master, it's my birthday today. I thought–"

"You obviously haven't grasped the rules, Nooroo," Gabriel snapped. "We're going to have to make them even simpler," he removed his tie, revealing his miraculous pin. "From now on, you won't be able to communicate. At all."

"But Master!" Nooroo gasped as the magic closed its mouth.

Gabriel chuckled, "It was a joke, Nooroo. I'm not that cruel." He snapped his fingers, removing the magic.

Nooroo sighed dejectedly, bowing to him. "Yes, master."

"Good." Gabriel turned back to his work, taking out a red bead. Nooroo's eyes widened in horror as Gabriel looked at it closely. "It's finished. Ghost-Spider will prevail with this. Are you certain of what you say, Nooroo?"

Nooroo gulped, nodding. Apologizing internally for what he has done. Gabriel hummed, looking back to the bead.

"She will take this. It must work. I won't let her intervene in what she already does. Once she takes this, I'll see what she really is," he smirked.

"It will not fail, master," Nooroo frowned.

Gabriel nodded as his miraculous glowed, making him smirk. "You'll meet your doom, Ghost-Spider."

Ghost sneaked through the window, jumping down. She glanced at the studious boy. She punched her fists as she removed her suit and walked over with a bag of food.

She glanced over his shoulder and saw the blank page with the fancy "the" in the beginning. She snorts, making him flinch.

"Gwen! You scared me," he chuckled, placing a hand on his chest.

She lifted the bag, "Brought food." Adrien ushered her to sit down as he continued writing. Well, by "writing" meaning more doodling.

"That's a masterpiece," Gwen teased at him. He groaned, turning to her. "Have you already done it yet? I still can't figure it out."

"Well, you said she passed away. Just say that," she shrugged, taking out a burger and fries.

"That's one sentence," he deadpanned.

She shrugged, taking a bite. "I don't know, why do you think she did that?"

He laughed nervously, "Well, I thought of something but it's too corny to write."

"At least for a grade. Just put whatever. Doesn't matter."

He hummed, turned back to the page, and started writing as Gwen watched. She couldn't help but stare at him. His calm and relaxed expression on his features.

Gwen stopped as he glanced at her and smirked. Her eyes widened and turned back to eat more.

"Is there something on me?" he asked, patting his face.

"Just your stupid face," she deadpanned making him agape at her. "I don't have a stupid face," he defended.

She chuckled, "I'm kidding. You look tired, why don't you eat and go to bed? The homework's not due until Friday."

"That's tomorrow," he laughed.

"Really?" she blinked before shrugging. "I'll just turn it in when the teacher's collecting them."

He chuckled, turning back to work. "By the way...have you been avoiding me? You missed the photoshoot with Marinette the other day."

Gwen sweatdropped, taking a bite. "I was busy. Couldn't make it." She refused to say more. But Adrien turned back to her. She flinched as Adrien placed his head against hers.

Her cheeks lightly bloomed as Adrien cupped her cheek, "You're getting hot. Do you want some water?"

"No," she whispered, shaking her head but didn't move away from him. She enjoyed his warmth on her cheek. Especially when he rubbed his thumb lightly, caressing her skin.

They didn't know how. Their faces neared closer as they felt the warmth of each other's breath, making them shiver simultaneously. Their lips were close to meeting as they both closed their eyes.

Gwen's senses flared, making her stiffen. She moved away as pink dust dropped on them. She frowned as she stood up.

"Gwen?" Adrien's eyes widened. "What's wrong?"

"Something doesn't feel right," she murmured but didn't see anything out of ordinary.

She stopped as she heard screams from outside and reached the window and frowned. It was a whole mess. "What's going on?" She punched her fists together as she wore her suit and turned to Adrien.

"I'll fix this. Stay here." With that, she left.

Adrien frowned. What did she sense? He instantly stood up as he heard something rummaging in his bathroom. "Gwen?" He frowned further as he didn't hear a reply.

He ran to the bed but couldn't find Plagg."Oh no! Who turned you into a sock?!" he gasped.

"A-Adrien..."

He stiffened and turned around. He paled and stumbled back to his bed. A pale-green girl stood in front of him, stumbling to his arms. "Gwen?" he looked at her and gasped at the blinding colorful lights shining on her back.

"It hurts," she whimpered. "Help me..."

"Gwen! How did this happen?! You were gone just a second ago?!" He held her as he dropped to his knees, bringing the girl to his lap. He looked her over but couldn't help but be terrified of how her skin cracked like glass.

"Adrien...why didn't you...save me? You were there...You just stood there and watched while I was dying," she croaked as she grabbed his collar.

"What?!" he gasped as the lights filled her face. "I'm dying because of you. It's all your fault!"

Adrien gasped. "Nathalie! Father! Can anybody hear me?!" he shouts desperately. He cried out as Gwen grabbed his neck, starting to choke him with a sinister smile.

"G-Gwen!" he choked.

"It's about time I repay the favor!" she growled as she gripped tighter.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He couldn't believe what he was feeling. His heart paced rapidly looking at the girl in front of him. It doesn't feel right, yet he knew he couldn't remove himself from her.

Adrien was out of breath as his hands dropped to his sides as his eyes slowly rolled upwards.

Plagg flew in and found him. "Adrien! Are you okay?" he looked at him and gasped at the mess. He looked around, knowing full well it was just his nightmare. He spotted was he was looking for and grabbed the bat with his small paws.

For a small kwami, he was strong.

He swung, slamming the bat on her face and making her fall back. Adrien gasped for air as he looked around. He saw as Gwen cried and held her face in pain. "What happened?!"

"It's a nightmare! She's not real!" Plagg screamed.

Adrien blinked, turning to the injured girl, and realized who was there with him. "Plagg! I'm so relieved you're not a sock, but you better have a good excuse," he frowned.

"Good to see you've managed to survive your nightmare...sort of," he said as he glanced at the girl.

He nodded, "Plagg, Claws out!" He transformed and used his cataclysm to destroy Gwen. His heart ached as her body turned into ashes. "Don't worry, Gwen. I'm coming."

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Ghost looked around in confusion. Just what is going on? It makes no sense. That was when she saw a figure in the sky.

So an akumatized villain...She jumped on buildings, reaching for them when her senses flared. She dropped down but screamed as a sharp pain hit her back.

Ghost hit one of the buildings before falling down onto a street. She groaned as it hit her left scapula. She begrudgingly stood up, facing a person in front of her, holding onto her wound.

At least it didn't hit her heart, she grimaced at the thought. She looked up to see a shadow pointing its gun at her millimeters from her face.

"Who are you?!" she demanded as she stood up, ignoring the gun.

"...Gwennie..." they groaned.

Ghost paled at the voice. Her hand shook as she looked closer at the man. She shook her head in disbelief.

It was an old man. Wounds were everywhere. But that's not what caught Gwen's attention. It was the knife stuck in his chest as his dull eyes glared at hers. Gwen trembled as the man came closer.

"You were too late...Gwen," the man groaned, reaching out to her.

"D-Dad?" she whimpered as she backed away.

"Murdock got me. Where were you when it happened?! You were gone for too long!" George screamed as blood dripped from his lips.

"I never raised a monster like you. It was because of you that everyone is dead. Dead!" George screamed as he pulled out his gun, pointing at her.

"Stop!" Gwen shouts as she dodged a bullet and ran closer. It can't be real. "J.A.N.E.T! Give me blasters!"

Her hands glowed as she punched the bullets effortlessly, reaching over to her father. He's not dead. He's fine. He's not real. This is a nightmare!

She screamed as she used her blasters and punched the man. The blasters burned through his skin making her hand punch through his chest. She gasped as George spat out blood on her shoulder.

"You...killed...me..." he groaned.

"D-Dad, you're not real. Shut up," she whispered, shaking her head in disbelief.

"You're not my daughter. My daughter wouldn't abandon me like this. I don't have one," he groaned as he fell to the ground.

Ghost's lip quivered under her suit as she felt the warm substance in her hand. She turned to the body on the ground and bit her lip. She glared at the ground. She'll never forget this.

Ghost landed on a building, staring at the mess below. "Good lord," she whispered as the people's nightmares were brought to life. She flinched as Chatnoir landed next to her, also staring at the city.

"What is this mess?" he gasped.

Chat flinched back as Ladybug also arrived next to him. "Ladybug! Tonight's been a total nightmare," he states, glancing at Ghost.

"We've got to stay focused!" Ladybug nodded as an explosion appeared not far from them.

Ghost stood up as she saw something flying in the sky. It was a boy standing on a pillow-shaped cloud, spreading sleeping sand on the people. "The akuma must be in the pillow."

"Awesome! Then time for a pillow fight! Chat grabbed his staff and the three jumped near the boy.

Ghost concentrated to get near the boy. Chat jumped first, jumping and swinging his staff but the boy dodged his attack. Ladybug threw her yo-yo at him too but dodged once again. Ghost gritted her teeth as she webbed the boy but he dodged once again.

Sandboy chuckled, smirking at them. "You won't be able to fight your worst nightmare for long." he shot sand at them from his pillow but the three separated, hiding behind buildings.

"He's moving around too much!" Ladybug gasped behind a chimney.

"And his evil sand is blowing everywhere!" Chat dodged another attack.

Ladybug gritted her teeth and used her lucky charm. She gasped as Sandboy shot her with his sand, causing her power to fail. She gasped as she landed on the ground and looked at her yo-yo. Now it was a regular yo-yo. "Oh no!" she gasped.

She heard a clatter behind her and saw a sharp blade not far from her with polka-dots.

"Who's about to get a pretty magic jewel?" Sandboy smirked.

Ladybug whimpered as she backed away from him. "Ladybug!" Chat and Ghost shouted as they headed toward her.

Ladybug tried to use her yo-yo but it wouldn't work the same. She jumped but she couldn't jump high like she used to. Now she's just a normal civilian. "What's happening?! Aaah!"

She moved away as Sandboy flew to her, reaching for her earrings. She moved too far as she slipped off the roof. She yelped as she grabbed the nearest edge.

Sandboy laughed and reached down to grab her earrings. Ladybug lost her grip and fell. She screamed as she neared the ground. Ghost dived down and wrapped an arm around her waist, webbing the nearest roof.

Ghost pulled and landed on the ground. Chat jumped down next to them, checking on them when sand poured over them. They all gasped and looked up to see Sandboy chanting.

"The Sandboy just checked in! Now nightmares can begin!"

Ghost and Chat stood in front of Ladybug in their stance. "Stay behind us," Chat states.

Ladybug's eyes widened as she saw Chat using his staff. "You still have your powers."

"Losing mine is not what I'm afraid of."

Ladybug frowned, "Then what?" She turned to Ghost who cracked her knuckles.

"Chat noir!"

The three stopped and looked up to find the voice and paled as they saw a familiar hero on the roof. Her body was filled with colorful glowing veins through her white suit. But her eyes from her mask were glowing red.

Ghost gasped along with Ladybug and Chatnoir. Ghost snapped her head to Chat, waiting for an explanation.

"I hate you! You're so weak! Do you really think I'm going to trust you after I leave?! You're nothing but a pest! I'm never coming back!" Nightmare Ghost seeth.

"Wait...what's up with that?" Ghost turned to Chat. "Do you want to explain that?"

"Sorry," he grinned nervously.

"I'm going to kill you!" Nightmare Ghost jumped down, making them gasp at the girl. She landed on the ground with a crater. "I can finally use my full strength."

"Whatever," Ghost turned to Sandboy. "We must get goi–"

"G...Ghost?"

All the color flushed from her face. Her heart panged on her chest. She almost feared everyone can hear it as she visibly shook, turning behind her. Her eyes widened as she felt all the air leave her lungs at that very moment.

Nothing prepared her at the sight. He was just like she remembered. Small and scrawny for a teen. She inaudibly gasped in horror, making Ladybug and Chat turn.

They frowned to see a boy with multiple injuries on him. His glasses were broken but put together with tape. His green eyes were hollowed as he stumbled closer to Ghost.

"...P-Peter?" Ghost whimpered as her legs trembled, causing her to drop to the ground in disbelief.

"Ghost?" Ladybug frowned. "Who is he?"

"I admired you...I loved you..." Peter cried as held onto his rib. "How could you?!"

Chat's eyes widened at the realization. He turned back to Ghost and saw her broken state. She couldn't stand, causing her to drop to her knees as she trembled. He gritted his teeth. So this was Gwen's best friend.

"And you'll pay for that!" Peter screams as he took out a familiar syringe from his pocket making her flinch at the recognition.

"No! Wait! Peter!" Ghost got off the ground and ran after him as he injected himself in his neck

Ladybug and Chat's eyes slowly widen in horror and took a cautious step back as the scrawny, pale boy slowly turned into a large, green beast. A long tail whipped the ground as his large fangs screeched at the heroes.

Ghost gritted her teeth as she reached for him. "Don't do this! Please! Don't make me hurt him!" she shrieked.

"Ghost!" Chat screamed, running after her.

"Chat!" Ladybug screamed too but Sandboy flew towards her as their group dispersed. She turned around and ran back for her teammates when Nightmare Ghost ran after them.

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

"I didn't...it was an accident!" Ghost screamed as Peter swiped his claws at her but dodged away. "You–You were out of control! You were a monster and I tried to save you! Peter! Please! Listen to me!"

"Me? I'm the monster?" Peter growled. "Gosh, Gwennie, I don't like saying this, but it's my duty as your friend..." He stomped over to her and threw his fists on the ground, creating a crater.

She moved away but was too slow as Peter grabbed her throat, making her scream and squirm in his hold. "Peter...please..." she teared up.

Peter shoved her to the nearest window, showing their reflection. "J. Jonah Jameson was right about you. You've been bad news from the start," he gruffed.

Ghost's heart rate picked up at the reflection. She remembered vividly those glaring green eyes. She remembered it very well from the shadows.

"It's you that's the monster," he growled close to her ear. "You changed when that spider bit you. More than you want to admit. You're addicted to the power. And with those stones, you can't let it go."

He threw her away, making her scream at the impact and roll on the ground as he walked over to her. "No...this isn't real," she gritted her teeth. "You're just a nightmare..."

"Oh, poor Gwennie. It doesn't make you a bad person," he spoke as he raised his claw over her. "What makes you bad is that you'd do anything to keep being Ghost-Spider. Everyone around you pays the price for your power. You know it and you don't really care. Me, your dad, the Parkers,...little Adrien."

Ghost's eyes widen and screamed as the claws dug into her skin, picking her off the ground, and digging to her skin.

"Ghost!" Chat jumped in and glared at the beast. "Let her go!"

But Peter solely focused on her. "You know I'm right. One of these days, you'll end up alone, leaving no one to kill. It's inevitable! Everywhere you go, piles of corpses follow. You're a murderer! You're a monster!"

Ghost shook her head as she tried to move away but the claws dig into her abdomen.

Peter brought her closer to him, "You don't deserve anyone. You were never special. You're a curse. You should have jumped off that building months ago."

Ghost and Chat gasped at his words. Chat glanced at Ghost and saw her limp into the beast's claws. Blood dripped from her wound to the ground.

"It would have made it easier on everyone if you were gone. I would still be alive. Your dad wouldn't be disappointed in you. Aunt May and Uncle Ben would be smiling again..."

Ladybug huffed as she finally chased after them and screamed at the sight of blood under the beast and Ghost. "Let her go!"

Sandboy smirked, flying down and throwing something at the beast. "Give it to her!"

Peter looked at the bead and turned to the girl in front of him. Using the wound to his advantage, he dug the bead inside making her shriek in pain.

Chat gritted his teeth as he had enough and ran over to get her. "Ghost!" He jumped and threw down the staff but grunted as a body collided with him. He landed on the ground and moved away from Nightmare Ghost's punch.

"Come back here!"

Chat kept going, trying to reach for his best friend. But he was tugged from behind. He looked back to see Ladybug grab his tail. "We have to defeat Sandboy! She can't hold on much longer!"

"But she's hurt! I have to get to her!" Chat cried out desperately.

"We will! We have to defeat Sandboy! Come on!" Ladybug grabbed his hand and ran away. Chat looked back and saw Ghost was limp in the beast's hold.

His eyes teared up and followed Ladybug. "Forgive me...please forgive me..."

Sandboy noticed the pair leaving as Nightmare Ghost followed after them. He still needs to grab their miraculous. Part one of the mission is done, he'll just have to get their miraculous."

He floated up and followed after them, leaving Peter and Ghost.

Ghost coughed, staining her mask in red. She cried as her vision blurred. She reached out a trembling hand, cupping the beast's face. She cried more, realizing she couldn't feel the warmth from the boy.

"Peter...you have no idea how much I wanted to see you...at least one more time...but not like this," she choked.

"What are you talking about?" he growled as he clenched his claws in her.

Ghost whimpered but shook away the pain, feeling the blood loss pooling in the ground.

"I wanted to say sorry for a long time," she continued while panting. It felt like the world around her gotten quiet. She could only hear her heaving breaths as she tried to stay conscious to continue talking.

"It was because of me that you turned out this way...It was because of me that we couldn't have the future we both wanted," she cried but kept going.

"It was because of me you got bullied...It was because of me that you're dead."

"That's right," Peter slammed her on the ground. Ghost shrieked in pain but held on to keep talking.

Ghost still reached for his face. Her tears burned her skin as she smiled at him through her mask. She cupped his face as she brought him closer, leaning his head against hers.

"I have always been a monster...It just...pains me that you're not really here to...tell me your real feelings," she hiccuped as she felt heavy.

"But if you were really here, you would know...my real fear is seeing you...blame yourself for leaving me alone when it wasn't your fault in the first place."

"....it was mine."

Gwen gritted her teeth as she slammed her head against his, making him stumble back. She groaned as she saw the blood staining her suit. She stumbled to her feet and ran towards Peter.

Chat carried Ladybug bridal style as they fled from Sandboy. He jumped on the roof and kept running. His heart ached to leave Gwen alone with her nightmare. But he will fix this. He will fix this.

He stopped as Sandboy floated in front of him. Chat grunts and he ran the opposite way but stopped to see Nightmare Ghost in front of him, holding Ladybug's blade.

Nightmare Ghost laughed as she swung her blade expertly, attempting to stab him. Chat placed Ladybug down and deflected her attacks with his staff. "Ladybug, I'm about to transform back! Any ideas!"

"I'm looking!" Ladybug looked around and caught her eyes on Nightmare Ghost's knife. She looked behind her to see Sandboy behind them. She pulled Chatnoir's tail to her.

"Quick! We've got to lure her over here!"

Chat caught on and turned to Nightmare Ghost. "You don't scare me! You're just a stupid dream," he taunted.

"You'll be dead," Nightmare Ghost launched toward them. She swung down her blade but Chat slammed his staff on her wrist, causing her to drop it.

Ladybug grabbed it and ran towards Sandboy. Chatnoir followed as he extended his staff and grabbed Ladybug. She used the blade and cut the pillow, making the sand fall. They dropped to the ground and looked up at Sandboy.

Sandboy yelped as he couldn't control it. As the last sand fell out, he screamed as he was nearing the ground.

Chat reached out his hands and caught him. Ladybug turned to the flat pillow and saw the akuma flying out. She grinned at the blade and threw it in the air to turn everything back to normal.

Ghost webbed a building and swung down, slamming her foot on his chest. She cried for every hit she gave. She didn't know how long she can take it as she punched his jaw.

She sobbed as the beast was slowly turning back human, showing all the fresh bruises.

"Ghost! Please! Don't hurt me!" he cried out. "It hurts!"

Ghost sobbed as she kept going, punching and kicking him more to the ground as he continued to plead.

"Ghost! Stop! Please stop!" Peter cried as he coughed on the ground.

She screamed as she gave a final blow to his chest, creating a crater under him. She can only stare as the boy was stuck on the ground. His breathing heaved as she broke his everything.

"G-Gwen..." he whimpered as she walked over and leaned his head against her chest.

"Y-You did it again," he whimpered, breaking her heart. "I can't move...I can't breathe...You hurt me."

Ghost lifted her head to the sky and let the burning tears fall. She looked down to see his broken greens. Her senses flared and assumed Ladybug and Chat finally defeated Sandboy.

"I'm sorry," she whimpered as she leaned her head against his. "I'm so sorry, please forgive me."

Peter sighed as he smiled up at her before raising a finger, and tapping her chest slowly. He gasped for air as his eyes were dulling every second.

"I..." he started as he leaned on her touch. "I just...just...wanted to be special...like you..."

His hand limped, falling on his lap. Ghost's lips quivered as she clutched him to her tightly.

The beautiful greens...were gone...only filling the reflection of the broken above them.

It was dark. Just like every introduction in stories and yet can't describe the cold empty void drowning her slowly as she reached for him. The beating drums against her chest rhythmically pounded her to reality.

The blood on her white suit. It wasn't hers. Her blues desperately looked for the glowing fireflies within his empty soul. Clutching his body to hers, ignoring the now cold drips staining her now-red suit. She pleaded, she screamed, she cried, she shrieked to reach him but was no use.

Peter's body disappeared with the magic, leaving her to scream in the streets and ignore the horrid pain in her abdomen and shoulder. She screamed out to the sky, not forgiving anyone.

She screamed as Chat ran over and hugged her to him. She punched effortlessly but he kept hold of her as she sobbed loudly.

"I'm here," he cried. "I'm right here. You're not alone."

"He's gone! He's gone!" she cried, clinging to him.

"I'm sorry," he hugged her tighter. "I'm so sorry."

Ghost continued to cry, not realizing the mind stone was glowing brightly. It reached the bead inside her, destroying it. In the process, it sees through her mind and erases her wish for her happiness. But she'll soon come to realize that it would be her biggest regret.

Nightmare George...gone.

Hawkmoth's identity...gone.

Her eyes dulled as she limped in Chat's arms. Chat can only stare at her in pain, bringing her closer to him. "Please, don't leave."

His best friend's hopes, dreams, and smiles. Her everything...gone.

She was gone...

A/N: It felt like the chapter felt forced and I had big hopes for this chapter and know how much people were looking forward to this one.

One another thing, if you weren't able to read my account, I announced that I, unfortunately, caught COVID yesterday and don't feel well. But I'm madder at the fact that it's exams week and I don't know how I will do them if I can't go on campus 😀

*Sigh*

Thank you for my rant and for your support! See you next time!
