1...
Footsteps ran down the halls...
2...
He looked back, turning back and running faster as blood dripped from his shoulder while the laughter grows louder...
3...
They taunted him, showing their sharp scalpel at him making him grit his teeth in shame and anger. He has to keep running...before it's too late!
1...2...3...GO!
Gwen slammed down her sticks on the drums as MJ rolled her head back, dripping her red hair over her shoulder and half her face as Gwen's beats drummed louder. It complimented greatly on Betty's guitar that rocked loudly in the gym.
"There's no use crying over pinpricks," MJ sang, nodding her head to the girl's beats. "Don't fight the name if the name fits! You're doing good, think that you could do better! Wanna crack your skull, get to the heart of the matter!"
Glory and Betty neared their mic as they sang the chorus. The crowd cheered, jumping in front of them. "You gotta face it, tiger, face it, tiger!"
Gwen closed her eyes, leaving her hands to dance and follow the rhythmic tune and blocking out everything but the music drumming in her chest and ears. The cheers grew louder and louder as the lights flashed from blue to pink to red, exciting the audience as they cheered and laughed harder.
Gwen can feel the sweat dripping from her nape and to her back from the extensive amount of beats she gives but felt the adrenaline pumping, making her go harder.
"WE ARE THE MARY JANES!" MJ shouted as the crowd cheered. MJ excitedly grinned, turning to the girls who grinned at her back. She nodded, pointing to Betty while Gwen kept throwing down her sticks at the drums.
"Give it up for Betty Brant!" MJ shouted as Betty lowered her guitar and loudly played her solo, driving the audience insane.
MJ nodded her head and back from the solo before turning to Glory. "Give it up for Glory Grant! Hit it!" Glory grinned, expertly pressing her fingers on the keyboard. Gwen laughed, slowing down her drums as the crowd cheered more of the small tune while Glory faced her back to the audience while playing it behind her.
MJ cheered along before nodding to Gwen who smirked with the glint in her eyes. MJ turned to the audience as they continued to play their song, they can feel the adrenaline sweat through their dresses but they didn't care, feeling the hot temperature burn their skin in excitement.
"FACE IT, TIGER! FACE IT, TIGER!" MJ screamed as the crowd followed along. "FACE IT, TIGER! FACE IT, TIGER!"
Gwen gripped her sticks as the girls gave the last beat of their instruments before giving the audience's full attention to Gwen who beat harder on the drums. MJ proudly grinned, throwing her hand back to introduce the focused girl.
"Give it up for Gwen Stacy!" she shouted as the crowd cheered, happy to see the girl rocking out on her drums. Gwen closed her eyes shut, drumming for a longer time and a harder time.
In the end, Gwen slammed her sticks one more time onto the cymbals causing the crowd to scream loudly. Gwen laughed, seeing so many things thrown to the stage while MJ loved it, even beaming as a girl threw a red bra at her making her grin brightly.
Many even threw their drinks at the girls while they all cheered loudly, not caring for the mess. Gwen panted, leaning back on her chair, and smiled with nostalgia. Gwen looked into the busy crowd, seeing so many smiling faces and hands waving in the air for an encore.
Gwen grinned, looking through the crowd not finding the familiar boy. In fact, she couldn't find Harry either in the crowd. She lightly frowned, not finding them anywhere.
MJ grinned, running over to the girls for a group hug. "You guys were amazing! I'm so proud of us!"
The girls screamed, hugging each other and grimacing at the sweat covering Gwen but the girl forced them in a hug. Gwen chuckled, beaming brightly. She looked back at the crowd and looked closely while her smile was dropping slowly, not finding her boys anywhere.
Where are they?
πΈπ·πΈ
Harry grinned, raising his cup to his lips as he drank the punch. He wasn't able to have access to backstage by the time he grabbed drinks for him and Gwen but he was fine, staying in the very back while the girls started playing the song Glory wrote.
He was definitely impressed as he couldn't remove his eyes from a certain drummer who kept her eyes closed, following the rhythm. He grinned, happy to see her excited. Leaning against the doors, he crossed his arms while nodding to the music.
He can already see things turn around for the better. He knew how much MJ wanted to make the band great. And Gwen's talent never ceases to amaze him. He's proud of her.
Harry grunts, feeling a shoulder hit his. He clenched his jaw in anger but looked back to apologize for being in their way but was unable to as the guy stumbled into the doors and ran out of the gym. Harry frowned, seeing blood dripping from the guy's hand and their tuxedo was ripped from their sleeve.
Harry didn't waste time, following after the short guy who kept stumbling in the halls. "Hey!" he called as the music started to decrease as he ran. "Slow down! You're hurt!"
But the boy panted, holding his arm in pain, and stumbled into Gwen's locker. Harry's eyes widened, running faster and grabbing the guy's shoulders as the boy desperately tried to open Gwen's locker with his slippery bloody hands.
"Back off!" Harry glared, throwing the boy back and into the lockers across from him. Harry seethed. What was this guy's problem?! Harry stormed over, not carrying who it was from the hair covering the guy's eyes.
Harry grabbed the boy by his collar, bringing him up to his face as he threw him back to the lockers. The boy exclaimed in pain, reaching his hands to scratch his but Harry wasn't having it, shoving him harder to the locker.
"Wooh! Go, Harry!"
Harry ignored the cheers behind him, looking down at the injured guy. "Who the hell do you think you are to try to open Gwen's locker, huh?! Answer me, bastard!" Harry threw a punch near the boy's head, hitting the locker behind him.
"Get out of the way! You don't understand!" the boy wheezed, trying his best to squirm out of his hold and reaching for Gwen's locker but Harry threw the boy to the ground.
The boy grunts, holding his shoulder in pain but slowly dragged himself closer to Gwen's locker. Harry can see tears falling from the boy's eyes and narrowed his eyes at him. Harry stopped, feeling a hard palm on his shoulder, seeing Flash smirking down at the pathetic boy.
"I'll take it from here," Flash smirked, laughing as he harshly kicked the boy's abdomen causing the boy to scream in pain. Harry looked around, feeling his heart drum harshly in his chest while some students around laughed.
Harry frowned, looking back down at the boy and wincing as Flash kicked the boy's face, making the boy scream and turn around in pain. Harry reached his hand out, paling as the blood seeped out of the boy's head and to the floor.
"...Peter?" Harry's eyes widened in horror as Flash laughed, kicking the boy more to the ground.
"Surprise, Parker!" Flash laughed, stepping back as two girls stepped beside him to hold him back. "It's my fist that's your prom date tonight."
Peter grunts, unable to stand from the heavy pain over his body. He desperately looked up to Gwen's locker, seeing his bloody hand smeared over it for attempting to open it.
He has to open it...He has to open it!
Peter's eyes teared up more, feeling his body heavy. Glancing back, he saw Harry's eyes widen but made no attempts to help him. Peter gritted his teeth, raising his arm for Gwen's locker once again.
It can't be true...It can't be true!
Gwen's heavy beating drums started to sound into the hallway and echo into Peter's ears making him cry harder. He has to get to Gwen's locker. Ignoring the searing pain on his shoulder, he kept trying but cried out as Flash kicked his back harder from his shoe.
"Peter!" Harry shouted, dropping down to get to the beaten-up boy. "Are you okayβ"
Peter heaved, his vision dazing as everything seemed to be slowing down. He didn't like this. He can hear everyone's laughs growing louder and overpowering Gwen's drums. They were laughing at him. They know he's weak and laugh at his pain.
Peter can barely see the shadows looming over him with the largest grins. His body hurts...his heart hurts...nothing will change. No matter what he does, he's always the laughingstock! He's always the weird one! He's always the one cowering behind Gwen!
They were monsters behind hollow skin, laughing at his bare existence.
Peter dropped his arm from reaching and smacked onto the floor, feeling his face heat up in anger and shame. He'll show them all...He'll show all of them how strong he is. He'll show them all how powerful he is.
His bloody hand dragged on the ground and into his coat's pocket, feeling the familiar syringe in his pocket. He can feel it cracked but didn't care, gripping the syringe tightly, causing it to break and fall on his bloody hand. The green substance bubbled, entering his skin and into his system.
He'll show them all.
Peter can feel his mind slowly disappearing along with the wounds on him, welcoming the acidic feeling burning his system. His beautiful green eyes filled with bright red as his skin turned abnormally green and claws grew out from his nails.
"Harry...Traitorrr...." Peter hissed as he felt his jaw cramping and teeth aching as fangs grew out, feeling his body growing. "Hhhhhandsssss offffff meeee, Harry..." Peter panted and hissed loudly as a large tail grew out as his form grew bigger and bigger, causing his suit to slowly rip away.
Harry's eyes widened in horror, taking a step back. What is that?! The large green beast loomed over him, glaring at him heavily. "RAARRRRGGGHHHHH!"
πΈπ·πΈ
Gwen smiled, laughing with the girls as the DJ started playing more music to the crowd. Gwen just enjoyed back, drinking her punch with MJ. MJ took notice of the girl looking around and smirked amusedly. MJ chuckled, lightly hitting her hip with hers.
Gwen stopped, turning to the girl and saw amusement in her eyes. MJ smirked, "So...how did it go with Peter? Did he finally ask you out?"
Gwen smiled, shaking her head while MJ groaned impatiently. "He said he wanted me to wait," Gwen's eyes softened. "But...I thought he would come and see me perform. I guess I thought wrong," she sighed.
Mj sighed, shaking her head in disappointment, "At this point, just go out with Harry."
"I've been wondering about that too," Gwen frowned, looking around, not finding the boy anywhere. He should be meeting up with her by now. Did he bail? "I don't see him anywhere either."
MJ frowned, now confused, and looked around the crowd. They couldn't find them anywhere. She shrugged, "They're probably outside. Want me to go with you?"
Gwen smiled, shaking her head. "Go have fun, I'll go." Gwen handed her punch to the girl before walking towards the door. She shuffled through the crowd, ignoring their bodies bumping into her.
Gwen pressed on the handle, stopping as she felt a warm substance staining her hand. Bringing her hand back, she narrowed her eyes at the red liquid smeared over the handle.
But with the colorful flashing lights, she was unaware of what it was, so she dried her hand with her dress before reaching for the doors. However, her eyes widened in shock as her senses flared and backed up in time for both doors to slam open.
Gwen squatted to the ground as one of the doors unhinged and flew out, dropping next to her. Gwen snapped her head up and gasped at the large green lizard-like creature. Its large frame completely loomed over her with ripped clothes barely clinging to it.
Its seething red eyes glared around before landing on her blues. Gwen's eyes widened, while the beast's softened, reaching for her.
It wasn't until a screech from the crowd did it broke the monster's daze. It roared loudly, instantly silencing the music from the DJ. The students screamed in horror, running to the nearest exit as the lizard stumbled inside the gym. Gwen was paralyzed. What is that?!
"Gwen!"
Gwen turned her head, seeing the crowd dragging MJ and the other girls to the exit and reaching out to her. "Gwen!" MJ screamed with tears filling her eyes but was dragged outside.
Gwen jumped back and ran too, hearing the beast huff and stumbling into the decorated tables. Gwen's heart drummed against her chest and echoed in her ears. Gwen ran to the stage, running through the door. She gritted her teeth, hearing screams behind her but she left her suit in her locker. She needed to get there and fast!
Flashes of thugs beating innocents appeared in her mind. How boring it was. Could this be it?...Is this a villain? Gwen was unaware of her blood boiling in excitement, feeling pumped to finally have a challenge.
Running through the grass, ignoring the chill from the night. She headed straight to the front of the school, seeing so many students screaming in fear and running out of the doors. Gwen shoved herself through, ignoring the heels of desperate girls stepping on her feet.
Gwen ran through, finding claw scratches on the walls. Finding the hall empty with lights flickering made her shiver and run towards her locker. Her eyes widened, seeing a bloody hand smeared over her locker.
What the hell?
Shaking the thought away, Gwen grunts as she broke the locker door open, throwing it away and grabbing her bag. Not wasting time, she dropped her dress and wore her suit.
"Hero time," her voice deepened, eyes narrowing as she webbed through the halls to where she could hear growling. Entering the gym, her eyes widened to see the lizard digging into the new debris it caused. Ghost clenched her fists and webbed its back before he could pull out an injured Flash.
Flash screamed in horror, seeing the beast snap its jaws at him constantly but Ghost was not having it, grunting as she gripped the web and threw him back. It flew back and crashed onto a few tables and onto the wall.
Ghost dashed forward and moved the debris, seeing a scratch under Flash's right eye. The boy can only look at the beast in horror, stammering with his words while pointing at it.
"I'll get you out of here," Ghost stood up and placed her hands under a large stone, squatting as she slowly raised it. "Move!" she shouted, breaking the boy out of his daze and scooting back as the hero dropped the stone on the ground and away from the boy.
Ghost's senses flared and moved her head to the right as the beast growled, swinging its claws at her. Ghost turned back to him, dodging one of their swipes, and punched its chest, throwing him back a step.
"Go!" Ghost shouted, turning back to the fight. Flash didn't waste a moment, stumbling in his steps and from the debris, and ran to the exit. "Now you're with me!" Ghost shouted, jumping over Lizard and webbing its eyes.
"No No No...Leave me...alone!" it growled, struggling from her hold.
"Oh, so you can talk?" Ghost gritted her teeth and punched its back, satisfied to hear a loud crack on its spine. It screamed in pain, swiping its claws at her but she grabbed it and used it to push toward its chest, stabbing the claws through.
"LEAVE ME ALONE! IT HURTS!" the Lizard growled, removing its claw from its abdomen and kicking her back.
Ghost yelped, flinging back to the wall and grunting at the impact. Ghost dropped lower to the ground but the Lizard shoved itself forward snapping its jaws at her. Ghost was able to hold its mouth open with struggle, feeling its body pressing on hers harder into the wall.
She can feel her back growing in pain but she had to fight harder. With that, she threw a kick at its jaw, causing the Lizard's head to fly up while Ghost threw a jab at its throat. It screamed in pain but Ghost knew she had the advantage so she kept throwing every punch and every kick at it.
The Lizard stumbled back and fell to the ground. It panted, feeling blood seeping through its wounds and bruises growing. The Lizard cried out in pain, dragging itself towards the exit but screamed as Ghost webbed his back and flung him back to the stage, causing it to crash onto the wall and the DJ station.
"Oh, no you don't," Ghost stormed over to it. "You tried to hurt my friends...This isn't over!" She lunged at it, punching its jaw repeatedly.
"Until I say it is!" Ghost shouted, punching his chest harder and feeling its ribs breaking by the second.
"Please! Stop!" the Lizard cried out, trying to move away from her and swiping its claw for her to move. However, just as it did rapidly, it felt the warm substance falling in its claws.
Ghost cried out, falling back and crashing onto more tables. She grunts, holding her chest. Her eyes widened in shock and pain as blood started to seep through from her chest. Gritting her teeth, she looked back up at the monster, its eyes still on its bloody hand.
πΈπ·πΈ
George stepped out of his car, slamming the door closed as the blue and red lights started to light outside of his daughter's school. He can see many students crying in fear as they stayed outside.
George looked around the crowd, desperate to find her but can't see her anywhere. "Gwen!" he shouted, looking through the crowd. "Gwen!"
"Stacy!" he stopped, seeing the paramedics rolling in and walking past him to find any injured students. He turned back to see his partner in crime stepping next to him. "What the hell is going on?" she frowned, seeing everything in shock.
"Monster..." They turned to the children, seeing their scared and pale faces looking at the ground as they trembled uncontrollably. "A monster! It wanted to eat us!"
The students screamed, looking around to find signs of the beast but George frowned, raising his hands. "Anyone injured, go directly to the paramedics. We will handle the situation! Leave the school grounds immediately!"
George looked around as many students started to cry. Some girls hugged each other as they all started walking away. George can only watch in fear. Where is his daughter? Where is his precious daughter? Looking around, he started storming over to the familiar girls on the ground.
"Mary Jane!" George crouched in front of the girl. MJ's makeup was already a mess along with her hair. But it wasn't surprising as all the girls were in the same position. The girl wailed, tackling the man in a hug. George held the girl as Betty and Blory cried too, tackling him in a hug too.
"Are you all right?" George asked, seeing their trembling figures clinging to him like a lifeline. "Where is Gwen?"
MJ only cried harder, clinging to him. George stiffened, pulling the girl back and holding her shoulders as she continued to cry. "Where is Gwen, Mary Jane?!"
MJ cried, wiping her warm tears, and glancing at the broken-down school. "She...She's..."
George's eyes widened in horror, glancing back at the school in time for the ceiling by the gym crumbled inside. The children cried and screamed loudly, shuffling back and running away while George stood paralyzed.
Gwen is still inside...
"Stacy!" he could hear his partner call him but he was already heading inside the school. "Stacy!" they shouted but his blood pumping started to ring in his ears loudly as he kept running.
"Gwen!" he shouted, seeing a piece of a ceiling crumble in front of the school as he hears an animalistic growl inside. "GWEN! Honey, please! Tell me where you are!" he desperately cried out, pulling out his gun and running inside the school and towards the chaos.
πΈπ·πΈ
Ghost groggily stood up, whimpering as her blood started to stain her suit. Shit. No matter how many times she punches and kicks it, it doesn't go down!
She could see the Lizard slowing down, groggily standing up to run away but she never gave up, throwing punch after punch.
Ghost took a step before the other before finally running at full speed. The Lizard noticed, raising its claws for her to stop but Ghost slapped them harshly away before giving a final kick at its chest, hearing a loud crack.
The Lizard cried out in agony, dropping to its knees as it held its chest. It heaved loudly, as it stare up at Ghost. Ghost looked down at it, clenching her fists.
"It's over," Ghost spoke darkly, throwing her strongest punch at its chest, successfully causing the cracked bones to bury deep into its lungs and heart.
The Lizard's eyes widened, feeling cold all of a sudden. Its large hand reached out for her but Ghost only narrowed her eyes at it as it fell back on the ground with a heavy thump.
She huffed, holding a hand to her chest. Her eyes were drooping slowly, exhausted from all of this. Ghost coughed, lifting her mask to her nose as she coughed up blood. She kneeled on the ground, panting heavily. There was no doubt that the beast bruised her. She'll probably get a scar out of this too.
"Shit," she sighed, pulling down her mask as she can barely breathe from the debris dust getting into the room. She coughed, glancing back at the beast, and frowned as it slowly started to shrink.
"What the hell?" she winced and stood up, walking over to the beast as it started to show its peach skin and small frame.
Little by little, Ghost's eyes widened in shock before in horror. Ghost stumbled back, tripping over a few stones and falling to the ground. Ghost shook her head in disbelief as she can feel herself heavy.
"No..." Ghost's eyes teared up, eyes wide as Peter's bruised body lay on top of a rock. His clothes barely covered him as he lay unconscious. Ghost's vision blurred, as she shakily stood up and started running towards the boy.
"Peter?!" she screamed, holding the boy's head up. "What did you do?! Peter! Peter! Can you listen to me?! Peter!" she sobbed, feeling warm tears burning her eyes as she lightly shook him.
Ghost cried harder, holding him to her chest. Guilt overwhelmed the girl as she didn't feel the blood from her chest staining her suit. She didn't feel the bruises on her back. She didn't feel her tears burning her eyes. She didn't feel anything but overwhelming pain in her heart to see the boy hurt.
Because of her.
"Peter!" she shrieked, slapping his face gently. "Please, Peter! Please! Open your eyes! Please open your beautiful green eyes!" She bawled, feeling her drool fall off her chin to the mask.
"Peter!" Ghost removed her mask. "It's Gwen! Can you hear me?! Peter, wake up! I'm begging you!"
Gwen's senses flared, making her look up. Her eyes widened in horror, clutching the boy in her chest, and jumped away as the ceiling fell down where they once stood. Gwen heaved, holding the boy tightly to her chest as she jumped out of the gym and towards the hall.
"Peter!" Gwen tried, grunting as she moved away from the debris. Gwen webbed a part of the ceiling and cried out as the weight couldn't hold them, causing them to fall to the ground. Gwen yelped, sliding herself away from him.
Gwen snapped her head up and lunged over Peter's body as the ceiling crumbled and fell on top of them. Gwen screamed, making sure to not crush the boy under him as she took the brunt of the rocks and pipes hitting her back.
πΈπ·πΈ
"Gwen!" George tried, running through but jumped back to see the ceiling cracking rapidly. "Gwen!" he shouted, feeling his heart race rapidly in fear. He already lost the love of his life...he can't lose another! Not his Gwen!
"Helen! Please don't take her from me!" George cried, stumbling as his partner rushed to him and grabbed his arm.
"Stacy! We have to go, the building is going down!" she shouted, pulling the man towards the entrance but George wasn't having it. He needed to save her! He promised he would protect her with his life!
At that very moment, his daughter's life flashed before his very eyes. The moment he held her in his arms for the first time...when she opened her large blue eyes. Her first steps...her first time riding a bicycle without training wheels...her first fight...her sorrows when she lost her mother...her constant nightmares and the pleadings to hold her in the night...her rebellious ways and dragging Peter along...
His little girl...
"GWEN!"
πΈπ·πΈ
Gwen coughed, choking as the dust started to fill her lungs. She whimpered, feeling the heavy stones on her back but she didn't care, looking down at the unconscious boy. Her lips quivered, seeing the boy pale and his lips slowly turning purple.
"No, no, no, no," she whimpered as her warm tears started to fall off and on the boy's cheeks. "Peter?" she heaved, gritting her teeth as she tried to stand to push away the stones but stopped as a stone was close to falling on Peter's feet. Gwen stiffened, making no other moves.
"Peter?" she croaked loudly. "Peter, I need you to wake up for me," she pleaded, nodding her head on his chin to wake him up. Her figure shrunk in hopes for Peter to hold her, to slap her, to punch her, anything but no sign of the boy's movement which alarmed her more.
Gwen hiccupped, heaving as she can feel herself hyperventilating. He can't be gone.
"Wait for me...Gwen"
"I'm sorry," she sobbed, her figure shaking as she silently cried. "I'm so sorry, Peter. Please forgive me. I didn't know. I'm so sorry...Please, I'll do anything. Please...don't leave me. We still have so many things to do together," she sobbed.
Gwen tearily gasped, biting her lip hard as blood started to drop on his face too. Gwen shakily looked up at her shoulder, seeing one of the rebars digging into her shoulder. She whimpered, looking back down at Peter.
She can still feel his chest warm against hers. He's just sleeping. "You're very strong, Peter," Gwen whispered, panting as spots started to fill her eyes. She can't sleep. If she does, he'll die. She'll just have to hold on before help comes. Just a little longer.
Gwen could have sworn she heard sirens. She wasn't sure but refused to move an inch, feeling the concrete heavily pushing her down and making her sore arms shake.
"I..." Gwen panted, clenching her hands to the ground. "I...there were so many things I wanted to tell you...Not like this...Wake up and we'll talk about it. How about that? We can talk for hours on my rooftop. You can even bring Aunt May's lasagna and we can share if you want."
His eyes won't open. He wouldn't move.
Gwen's lips quivered more, "Oh, God, please. I never believed you after you took my mom away. I will do anything, I'll even start going to church and believe in your bullshit if you can just make him open his eyes. Please! PLEASE! Please don't take him away from me, I need him! I love him! I love him so much, please!" she wailed, dropping her head down as her hair brushed the boy's eyes.
His eyes won't open. He wouldn't move.
Gwen sobbed, broken inside and out. This was all her fault. She wants to take it back. Everything she's done. She wants to take it back! She wants Peter back! She wanted this night to be normal!
His eyes won't open. He wouldn't move.
Gwen sniffed. "I'm...not scared," she tearily sang. "Of...the dark. I'm not running, running, running... come on, you know the lyrics." she silently cried. "No, I'm not afraid...of the fall. I'm not scared...not at all," she sniffed, looking down at the boy.
His eyes won't open. He wouldn't move.
Gwen wailed, leaning her head on his head. Feeling every single emotion rush and hit against her living being. She can feel her body slowly losing consciousness and she almost wanted to welcome it. As long as she gets to talk to him again. As long as she gets to hear him laugh again. As long as she can see his smile again.
Peter was gone.
He will never come back.
Gwen gritted her teeth, clenching her fists on the ground. She cried out as she can feel the rebar bury deep in her shoulder but she didn't care. She screamed in agony as she slowly started to move the concretes off of them.
More rebars fell on her back, digging into the back of her thighs, making her stumble forward but refused to give more pressure on Peter. She screamed as she kept pushing upwards, feeling searing pain growing everywhere at once.
With a last scream, she lifted the concretes, throwing it away from them. It fell to another causing a wave of dust to fill the halls. Pebbles fell on the side and off the girl. Gwen sat beside Peter, her head up to look up at the sky, seeing the familiar red and blue lights in the moonless night, illuminating the stones behind her.
Gwen gritted her teeth while her neverlasting tears fell to the ground. She screamed as she threw down her fists on the ground, cracking the stones underneath her. "Shit! SHIT! SHIT! FUCK!" she screamed, continuously slamming her hands on the ground as her skin started to split slowly and blood started to splatter everywhere.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH!" Gwen wailed loudly for everyone to hear.
Outside of the chaos, the students and police shivered as they hear a heart-wrenching cry from inside the building. George's eyes widened, pushing through his partner and bolting back to the school.
Gwen whimpered, looking back down at Peter and crying uncontrollably, leaning her head to his chest. "You can't be gone," she cried. "You can't be...Please...Peter..."
Gwen cried, her tears staining his bruised body as his hair moved slightly from the cold breeze. She snuggled to his chest, ignoring the blood loss in her system. "I won't leave you. I'll never leave you alone. Come back to me...please."
"...I..."
Gwen gasped, eyes snapping open. She immediately looked down at the boy. Did she hear that right? Was it...?
His eyes won't open. He wouldn't move.
"Peter?" Gwen called, sniffing as she neared her ear to his lips. Her eyes widened in shock and relief as she can feel his warm breath hitting her ear just faintly.
"Peter! Can you hear me?!" she grinned with relief, pulling the boy to her chest. "Come on. Hold on tight, I'll get you out of here." Gwen gritted her teeth as her body gave up on her. Her eyes widened in horror, seeing her body in white pain but she refused to give up.
Grunting loudly, Gwen forced her muscles to cooperate. Just as she was close to standing up, she felt a hand gently patting her wounded chest. It was unexpected for her, causing her to fall back to the ground with a yelp.
Gwen panted, feeling the exhaustion getting to her. She blinked, trying to stay awake, and looked down at the boy. She gently smiled, seeing the boy slowly opening his eyes to look up at her.
"I..." he panted, choking but Gwen leaned her head against his and softly shushed him. "Shh...don't waste your breath. I'll get us out of here. You hear that?" she grinned, looking up at the large hole in the ceiling and seeing the blue and red lights. "Dad's here. My dad's here. He'll get us out of this mess. He always does."
"I..." he choked, looking up at her bruised face. He reached his hand towards her but was only able to reach her chest but Gwen didn't mind, enjoying to know she can feel his warmth from his hand in her chest.
"I told you to shut up, idiot," she tearily chuckled. "Just wait a few more minutes. You'll make it."
"I just...just..." he tried, shakily forming his hand and pointing to her wounded chest, confusing Gwen. His bright green eyes slowly dimmed, still softened as he stared up at her. "Wanted to be special...like you..."
Gwen's eyes widened as all air left her lungs the moment Peter's hand dropped to his chest. The last of his warmth was gone, now feeling freezing to her touch. Everything was quiet. No more drumming of her heart. No more of the wailing sirens outside the school. No more blood dripping to the ground. Nothing. She can't hear his breathing. A silent tear fell on Peter's face before Gwen felt heavy.
His eyes will never open. His body will never move.
"Peterβ?" Gwen stopped as she tried adjusting him in her hold but the clink on the ground got her attention, making her glance at the bloody stone rolling to her lap.
Only her hazed reflection was shown on the bloody cracked pearl.
