((Edit this is also really old and cringy- ViEwEr DiScRetioN iS aDvIsEd-))

(Warnings: Fluff and a small injury, mentions of a little blood and terrible writing.)

Y/n's Pov:

Thomas, I and the others were in Thomas's house watching movies in his living room.

The others you ask?

Well, The others are parts of Thomas's personality. Weird I know, but it's interesting at the same time. When Thomas told me about it I thought he was joking, Until Patton popped up, offering me cookies and words of encouragement.

Then came Roman, Telling me how great Disney is and how he slayed the dragon witch with a slash of a sword. Though I always thought he over exaggerated it...

Then Logan appeared, saying words of wisdom and guidance, also adding crofters into the conversation. I mean, sure the jam is good but we were talking about mathematics at the time.

Lastly, Virgil came into the picture, shying away from the conversation and avoiding eye contact. I don't know what it was about him, but he intrigued me. Something about him was so interesting, that I couldn't help but feel attached to him.

Where was I? Oh, Yeah. Movies.

We were currently watching Princess and the frog, while Patton was in the kitchen getting stuff ready to make some thing.

Virgil and Logan were sat at either side of me, Virgil on the right and Logan on the left, reading a book, not paying any attention to the movie. Roman was sitting in the floor with his legs criss-crossed, like a little kid. While Thomas was sitting on the other side of Logan.

"Guys, I need milk and eggs..." Patton said from the kitchen, looking through the refrigerator.

"What do you mean, don't we have any?" Thomas asked, looking away from the television.

"No, we're all out of milk and eggs. Can someone go get me some?" Patton responded, Gaining the attention from everyone, Including me.

"I'll go." I replied, Getting up from my seat on the couch.

"I do not believe it is safe for you to go out at this current time alone. Do you really need milk and eggs, Patton" Logan told me, looking up from his book.

"What do you mean, It's only nine o'clock." I responded, looking at the clock on the wall.

"I also need vanilla and cooking spray." Patton said, rummaging through the cabinets.

"Logan is right, Royalty such as yourself can't go out walking into the cruel world alone. You'll at least need an escort." Roman said, looking up at me.

It was true, I didn't have a car. And Thomas was getting his fixed at the moment, so I couldn't borrow his, Walking was the only option.

Virgil sighed, getting up from the couch as well.

"I'll go with you, since no one else wants to step in." He said, walking over to Patton. "Why don't you write down everything you need and me and (Y/n) will get it."

"Okay! Thanks, Kiddo." Patton said, grabbing some notebook paper and a pencil.

"Thanks for tagging along." I told Virgil, as me and him walked out of the house, heading to the store with the piece of paper in my hand.

"You're welcome, the others didn't really want to, so, I think that's why they were trying to make you stay." He laughed, walking beside.

"Yeah, they're really lazy." I agreed.

He smiled at me, which I returned the gesture, but blushed at the thought of his smile.

It was so cute and adorable, especially when he acts all tough and mysterious, but deep down he's just a big softie.

I may or may not have developed a crush on this emo... Sue me...

Suddenly I heard a loud rumbling, like thunder.

"Is it raining?" I exclaimed, hoping it wouldn't rain while we were walking.

"Not yet." Said Virgil, looking up at the dark, clouded sky.

"Well, Let's get going!" I laughed, Jogging a bit as I saw the store in the distance.

"Good idea." He agreed following me into the store.

"Hello." The store clerk welcomed, from behind the counter.

"Hi." I said back, while Virgil just nodded as a greeting.

"So, what was on the list?" Virgil said, Grabbing my hand that held the paper and looked at it.

Now, I wouldn't have found a problem with this action, if his hand wasn't on mine.

The feeling of his touch gave me goosebumps, but it wasn't from being frightened, his touch just felt electric.

My face was as red as a tomato, by the close proximity he was from me.

"Uhm-Uh M-Milk." I responded, saying the first word that was on the list.

"So I see." He said, walking over to the dairy isle.

I grabbed a shopping basket and followed him.

He grabbed a carton of milk and put it in the basket.

"What else?" He said, folding his arms.

"Vanilla, Cooking spray, Sugar, Eggs, Chocolate chips and Flour." I listed.

"Jeez, What does Patton need, the whole store?" Virgil said, Sarcastically.

"He wanted to make cookies." I responded, looking up from the list, noticing he was very close to me.

"You go get the Chocolate chips, Cooking spray and eggs while I get the Sugar, Flour and Vanilla." He said, grabbing the shopping basket I was holding, our hands brushing against each other slightly.

"O-Okay." I responded, blushing.

As he left I found myself questioning his actions as I got the stuff I was told to get.

Why was he acting this way? So flirty without even saying anything? Being so touchy? Always being close to me? Was he trying to get my attention? No, he wouldn't do that, he doesn't like me like that... Right?

My thoughts were interrupted by Virgil poking my cheek.

I was really spacing out.

"Do you have everything?" He asked, His hands holding the basket filled with the supplies we needed.

"O-Oh Yeah." I responded, placing the things I held onto the basket.

"Well, then, Let's get out of here." He replied, walking up to the cashier.

"Find everything you needed?" The cashier asked, scanning our items.

"Uh-Huh." Virgil hummed, looking at me.

"Thirty, Two dollars and seventy, four cents." The cashier said.

I gave them the money and grabbed a few bags, Virgil grabbing the rest of them.

And with that we headed out.

Clasps of thunder was heard and strikes of lightning was seen from the sky, me and Virgil knew that it wouldn't be long until the rain would come pouring down.

"We'd better hurry!" Virgil exclaimed, jogging a bit.

"Slow down a little bit will you?" I said, walking in a normal pace.

"But, if we slow down we are going to get caught in rain." He reasoned, slowing down and looking back at me.

"If it rains, it rains. It's just a fact of nature, we can't change that." I responded.

"But we'll get wet!"

"So? Have you ever danced in the rain? It's quite fun."

He looked at me with shock, as the thunder rumbled in low growls, the vibrations of the clouds crashing against each other, against our feet.

"You want to get soaked?" He exclaimed.

"Why not? C'mon, Virgil, live a little. I thought the person with the nickname 'Storm Cloud' would at least like rain." I responded, laughing a bit.

He huffed and walked beside me, in silence, as we slowed down our pace so we could enjoy the sound of nature and the smell of rain.

Not long after it started raining. The peddles of rain clashing down on us. The rain watering the earth.

"Okay, we're here in the rain, can we go home now?" Virgil asked, His voice barely audible through the sound of water pounding onto ground.

"No, C'mon, Virgil enjoy it! Come dance with me!" I yelled, so he was able to hear me.

"No! Are you crazy? Do you want to catch a cold?" He said, holding the bags in his hands tightly.

"I swear it will be fun! Here, if I catch a cold, I'll do your laundry for a week. Okay?" I proposed. Hoping he will expect my offer.

He stayed silent.

"...Fine... What do you want to do?" He asked, setting the bags down.

"Come jump in a puddle with me!" I said, Setting down my bags as well.

"Jump in a- What?!-Do you want to get your shoe-" I cut him off by tugging his arm, dragging him close to the curb on the side walk.

I jumped in the puddle, splashing water everywhere. Virgil just watching me while standing on the curb doing nothing.

I tugged in his arm.

"C'mon!"

He sighed, running a hand through his hair, before finally jumping next to me, right into the puddle.

I watched as he soaked his shoes, even though they were already soaked to begin with.

I jumped again, and again and again. Until finally I was completely soaked, but I was laughing and having fun, so the water didn't bother me. But what made me the most happy was the man infront of me was jumping along with me, smiling.

We soon both began laughing and smiling while jumping in random puddles along the road, There was no cars around so we were completely uninterrupted.

It was all fun and games, until I slipped, falling on my knees, scraping them.

"Are you okay?!" Virgil asked me, grabbing my hand and sitting me up.

"I'm fine." I said.

But in reality I wasn't, my knees were scrapped pretty bad, blood running down my legs while the pain was throbbing.

"I can't believe I was so stupid, Jumping in puddles, if I had told you no then this wouldn't have happened-"

"Hey, It's not your fault, I was the one that came up with the idea in the first place, and I still don't regret it." I cut him off, squeezing his hand.

He smiled, but his smile faded as he remembered my knees were still bleeding.

"We have to get home and fix that up." He said. "Can you stand?"

I tried to stand, and was able to, but the pain was terrible.

"Yeah..." I winced.

"No, you can't.." He responded, taking off his jacket and putting it on me, Turning around he bent down.

"Get on." He told me.

"Wh-What?"

"You heard me." He replied.

"I-I don't know..."

"Don't make me say it twice." He warned.

I hesitantly got on his back, placing my head on his shoulder and wrapping my hand around his neck. I felt his hands hold onto the underside of my knees gently, standing up he walked over to where the bags were and picked them up, careful not to drop me in the process.

"I-uh- Just wanted to say... That-That was the most fun I've had in a while." Virgil said, Smiling.

"I'm glad you had fun. It's good to remember to enjoy the little things, to be a little kid again, even if you are grown up. Even if that means running around in the rain, jumping in puddles." I told him, laughing a little, I felt the rain drops get lighter on my back as we walked on.

"Yeah... I-I just wanted to say. I enjoy spending time with you... " He muttered, his voice barely audible, and this time it wasn't because of the rain.

"I enjoy spending time with you too, Virgil, even going grocery shopping with you." I hear him laugh, as I remember all the small flirtatious gestures, back in the grocery store.

"Thank you." I heard him say.

"What for?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"For making me laugh, and smile." Virgil said, smiling once again.

"Heh, You're welcome." I said, as we arrived at the house.

But before we went in, I made sure to do something.

I placed a small kiss on his cheek, his soft skin against my lips made my heart flutter. I don't know where I got the confidence to do that, but I did it, Do I regret it? No.

His cheeks flushed as I pulled back, he turned to look at me, but his head whipped right back to the door as we saw the door fly open.

"Oh my God! Are you okay?!" Patton exclaimed, moving out of the way so we could come in.

Here we were, Standing in the door way, Soaking wet, our clothes were wet and dirty, Our socks and shoes were soaked and my knees were bleeding, At first glance, it would look like we were wrestling with one another.

Virgil walked in, With me still on his back.

"Here's your groceries." I said, Handing Patton his bags.

Roman laughed, from his spot on the floor, he didn't even move, when we left.

Patton took the groceries away from me and placed them on the counter before grabbing the first aid kit.

Virgil sat me down on the stairs, crouching down infront of me, Lifting my knees onto his legs and taking the first aid kit away from Patton.

"I'll go get some towels, you guys are dripping water everywhere, you must be so cold." Thomas said, getting up from the couch, retrieving some towels.

"Well, Except for (Y/n), they are wearing Virgil's jacket." Roman said, not looking away from the television screen.

Virgil blushed, while patching up my knees.

Thomas came back with some towels and gave them to me.

"Are you guys okay? What if you guys catch a cold?" Thomas asked the both of us.

I took off Virgil's jacket and gave it back to him, he smiled, taking it from me, our fingers touching slightly. I broke my gaze off of Virgil and looked back at Thomas.

"Don't worry! I'm invincible!" I said, Feeling confident.

That is, Until I sneezed.
