Thomas's POV:

'Its gonna be okay, Thomas'

'Don't worry, Thomas'

'We have this covered.'

I have heard all of these way too many times, 'Everything is gonna be fine' 'We have got this.' and 'No need to worry, Thomas we have this under control.'.

Have they though?

Is everything really okay?

They keep doing everything, can't I do anything for myself?

If my sides keep doing everything for me, then what am I good for?

Why can't I just give them a break?

Why can't I leave? And finally give them some peace?

How can I leave?

Where can I go to? Somewhere where I can stay, And leave my sides to live for themselves...

I know.. I've heard Roman talk about it before, A safe haven, a place where he relaxes and let's his mind wander. Him and Virgil have gone there before.

The imagination.

He's talked about a witch that lives within it, A dragon witch, that can do 'magic'.

I have an idea.. it's a long shot.. but it might work... I have to try it.. if not for me.. then for my sides...

I just want to give them peace, for once...

3rd POV:

The ground rumbled in the mind scape, as if an earthquake was happening.

Patton clung onto Logan, Trying to steady them both as the ground shook vigorously.

"What's going on?!" Virgil exclaimed, holding onto the stair railing, as Roman tried his luck to stand while the whole mind scape shook.

"I-I Don't know!" Patton stammered, His eyes widening as the ground Started to stabilize.

"The mindscape is not supposed to be affected by earthquakes.. if there was an earthquake outside of the mindscape, Thomas would have called for us..." Logan muttered, the mindscape not shaking any longer.

"Well, What would you call that, Nerdy wolverine?!" Roman said, Taking Virgil's hand and standing up.

"Well, It was either, Thomas being affected by a brain injury orrrrrrrrr-" Logan's eyes flashed white, him staggering, Unable to stand for just a second. Then his eyes turned back to their normal color of brown, his strength coming back to him.

"Logie?!?" Patton exclaimed, worriedly, Holding onto his arms, In case he staggered again.

"Specs?" Virgil mumbled, Walking closer to Logan, Followed by Roman.

Logan's face turned pale.

"We need to see Thomas, Right this instant." Logan told them, His eyebrows furrowing, in worry.

They all sunk out, Popping up infront of Thomas.

"Thomas!!" Patton exclaimed, running to his side.

Thomas was laying in the middle of the living room unconscious.

"Patton, Move!" Logan told him, as he checked Thomas's temperature.

Patton did as he was told and backed up a little, looking at the other two frantically, worry filling his eyes.

Logan lifted up Thomas's eyelids, To check his eyes.

Thomas's eyes were white, just as Logan's were when he faltered.

"What's going on, Logan?!" Virgil asked, Trembling a little.

"I...I-I dont know..." Logan said, Exasperatedly.

"What was all the shaking about?" A familiar voice said behind them.

They turned around to see both Janus and Remus, Looking at Thomas's unconscious body.

"Wow- You guys killed him... I wasn't expecting that." Remus deadpanned, his eyes not looking away from Thomas. Though he may not seem like it, He was worried.

"He's not dead Remus, If he was, we would all cease to exist." Logan informed him.

"What is happening?!" Janus asked.

"We don't know, The mindscape starting shaking, Logan faltered and then we came to see if Thomas was alright and found him unconscious!" Patton told them, catching them up on what happened.

"What do you mean Logan 'faltered'?" Remus asked, curiously, Worriedly grasping Janus's hand.

"I malfunctioned, I stopped working."

"We need a little more details then that."

"Logan's eyes turned white and he started to collapse." Virgil informed them.

"Thats-Thats not normal." Janus muttered.

"You think?!" Virgil exclaimed.

Roman walked towards Thomas, Examining him.

"Roman?" Patton asked, as the others discussed what they were to do about this.

Roman crouched down next to Thomas, lifting his eyelid to look at his eyes.

"I've seen this before... Where- Where have I seen this?!" Roman muttered.

"What do you mean?"

"These eyes... They seem so... Familiar... No... One eye..." Roman lifted Thomas's other eyelid, this one was different. Thomas's right eye, Was black. Pitch Black.

"I-I know what's wrong with Thomas!!" Roman said, Eagerly.

"What? What wrong with him?!" Patton asked.

"He's mind, he-He is in his own imagination!" Roman yelled.

"In his own imagination? B-But if he stays in his imagination for too long, There won't be any way to get him to wake up!" Logan says, worriedly.

"Do-Do you mean-?" Virgil started.

"Yes, Virgil... Thomas is dying."

Thomas's POV:

I tried to think, to think only of the imagination, hopefully, it's working, Hopefully, I'll be in my imagination once I open my eyes..

To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing, I've never been to the imagination before..

I was concentrating on my mind and the imagination when I started to loose my balance, my strength was leaving me, I collapsed and fell to the ground and fell into unconsciousness.

I opened my eyes, To be in a different place.

I was surrounded by trees and rocks, As if I was in a forest.

I thought the imagination would be something a little more .. dull.

Like a prairie, full of flowers.

But I was wrong, There were creatures all in the forest, some big, Some small.

It looked like I was in a fantasy movie.

With the sound of leaves brushing against each other, there was a loud growl, Of a big animal.

The tree next to me caught on fire.

I jumped, Falling onto my back as the tree blazed like a torch.

"Just. What. Are. You. Doing. Here?"

I turned around to see who the voice belonged to, To see a woman, with a large staff, and strange hair and eyes.

One side of her head had white hair and a pure white eye, and the other side had pitch black hair and a black eye like soot.

"I'm here to see the dragon witch, I want to stay in the imagination."

She looked taken aback.

She stopped, Confusion spreading across her face before she quickly regained her composure.

"Then you're wanting to see me. And for your request, I'm confused as to why you would want to stay here." She responded.

"...You're are apart of my imagination, Right?" I asked, standing up.

"..That I am."

"Then you were made by me, And I demand that you let me stay here." I ordered.

I didn't know where I was getting this confidence, I just knew I had nothing else to loose.

She narrowed her eyes, looking at me with a cold, yet caring stare.

"..You do know the consequences of staying in the imagination, Correct?"

"I don't care!" I exclaimed.

"...Very well.." she said, sighing.

The ground began to shake as bricks formed around me, building a tower, Lifting me off of the ground and onto the top of the tower with only a window as an entrance.

I sighed.

Finally, My sides can live for themselves.. without having to worry about me..

3rd POV:

"W-w-What?!" Patton exclaimed, Breathing heavily as he held onto Logan tightly.

"He-Hes dying?!" Virgil asked, blinking, as if this was a dream that he would soon wake up from.

"I'm afraid so.."

"Virgil, Calm down, We don't need you to have a panic attack." Roman said to him softly, Rubbing his back.

Everyone was freaking, That was noticable, but the two who were freaking out the most, Was Virgil and Patton.

"I-i-i-i- d-dYing?!" Virgil exclaimed, hyperventilating.

"He-He can't diiiiiiieee-" Virgil stumbled, Loosing his balance just like Logan did before, But this time his eyes weren't white, Virgil's eyes were black.

"Virgil?!" Roman yelled, trying to get his attention.

Virgil slid, Against the wall, Slowly falling to the ground, Before his eyes turned back to their normal color.

"Virgil!??" Patton asked Worriedly.

Roman grabbed Virgil's hands, Holding onto them. They were all looking at Virgil, worriedly.

"I-I-Im fine- J-Just got dizzy and weak.." Virgil says quietly, holding onto his head, while slowly getting up.

"That's what happened to me." Logan said.

"But Logan, His eyes were black, Yours were white!" Roman told him, Helping Virgil get up.

"I am aware... Could it be the fact that Virgil was a dark side before he ever was a light side?" Logan pondered.

"Could be." Janus mumbled.

"We can't waste anymore time. We have to find Thomas!" Patton exclaimed. "If we sit around here wondering what is happening or what we should do, we won't get anything done, and we will all slowly start to die, Including Thomas."

"Patton is right, We need to find Thomas." Logan agreed. "Together."

Janus and Remus looked at each other, before looking at the rest of them.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

. . . . . .

The six of them stood in the middle of the imagination, searching for Thomas.

But finding no sign of him.

"Where are we going? Is there a way we can pinpoint Exactly where Thomas is?" Virgil asked, Huffing tiredly.

"Sadly no."

"How much time do we have?" Patton asked.

"Well, we are all slowly dying, and if we all die, Then Thomas will be brain dead, no chance for him or us to return. The first one of us to slowly start dying was me, Then Virgil, The timespan between me and him was twenty to thirty minutes, Not including the time we took to get into the imagination? I would say we have about.. an hour and ten minutes." Logan informed them.

"We didn't want a lecture, But thank you." Roman sighed, Leading the way.

"So, We're on a time limit... Don't you think we should be going a little more faster?" Virgil asked.

"That would be the more logical thing to do."

"I-"

A loud roar stopped them in their tracks, the sound itself was terrifying. But the sight was even more disturbing.

A large dragon, With half of it's body White and the other half black, was coming straight for them.

"The dragon witch.." Roman muttered, standing his ground and pulling out his sword.

The dragon landed in front of them, a cloud of grey smoke erupting in front of it.

"Put the sword down." Said a female.

"Why should I?!"

"I've come with information."

"Ha- Like I would trus-"

"What information?" Logan interupted, stepping infront of Roman, Holding a hand out, To stop him from slashing his sword as the woman approached them.

"Information of a man you are all looking for. Thomas, isn't he who you are searching for?"

"We are!" Patton said, Loudly, eager for the information she brought.

"I can't tell you very much, but I can help you out, He made me keep him here, I don't think he even knows the consequences of staying here. I-I can't fight against him, He made me, Therefore he can order me around, He is six miles that way, In a tower. I can't help you anymore than I already have... I'm sorry." She sighed.

"It's alright, Thank you for the help." Logan said.

She nodded and left in a puff of grey smoke.

"How can we believe her?! Maybe this is a trap!" Roman exclaimed.

"It's the only lead we've got and we're running out of time, I don't think we have much of a choice." Patton told him.

Roman hesitantly nodded, putting his sword back into it's sheath.

"We have to hurry.. I don't think we have much time..."

. . . . . .

Thomas's POV:

I silently sitting in the tower, I didn't feel like doing very much, except sleep.

I was about to go to sleep until I heard something outside. Like a twig snapping.

"Thomas? Thomas are you in there?!"

I couldn't believe it, It was Patton.

I ran to the window, for some reason I was relieved to see my sides.

But I came here for a reason, and I wasn't going to let this whole thing be in vain.

"Guys! What are you doing here?!" I asked.

"What are we doing here? Thomas what are you doing here? Do you know the aftermath of staying in the imagination for too long?!" Logan yelled.

"I don't care about what will happen to me, All I want is for you guys to not worry about me anymore!"

"Worry? Thomas it's our job to worry for you!" Patton exclaimed.

"Get down from there!" Roman said.

"No! I'm tired of you guys doing everything for me! I'm tired of being no good! If you guys do everything, Then what do I do for you guys?! I'm nothing! I'm not good enough for you guys! You need rest! You keep going and going and you never take a break! I'm just a burden to you guys, I always have problems that you guys have to solve ... I'm just I'm... I'm sorry that you put my needs before your own.."

"Thomas, If we don't worry for you, Or help you out, then what would be our purpose? We don't solve your problems or look out for you because we have to.. we do it because we care for you..." Patton told me.

I wiped away a stray tear and sighed.

"...Thanks Patton... But no.. means no. I'm not going back."

"Thomas if you don't come back then you will die!" Logan exclaimed, Stepping towards the tower more.

"What..?" I asked. "But if I die, then-"

"That's right Thomas, If you die, we die tooooo-" Logan stopped, Held onto his head as his eyes flashed white, His balance was shifting. Logan started screaming in pain.

"No! Logan!" Patton exclaimed, but his eyes flashed white too, He was loosing his balance as well.

"Thomas! We need to get out of here! You're dying!" Roman yelled, Running towards a screaming Logan and a staggering Patton.

"I-I-I'm sorry! I didn't know this would happen!" I said, frantically trying to get down, But the tower only had one entrance... The window.

"Thomas, We need to get you out of here, The longer you stay in the imagination, The more they will die!" Janus yelled, Looking at the two light sides, that were slowly dying.

Logan was turning pale, He was getting as light as his eyes the more he screamed.

"I-I-G-Guys-" Virgil stammered, As he staggered from left and right, Trying to keep his balance. He eyes were a full black.

"Virgil!"

"Thomas please!"

"Okay! But how do we get out of here?!" I asked, Frantically trying to figure out how to get out of the imagination.

"The same way you came!"

Okay, Okay, The same way I came.

I closed my eyes, Concentrating on the living room and the house, Outside of the imagination. Trying my best to block the sounds of Logan's screaming and the heavy pants of Virgil as he was trying to control his breathing during his panic attack.

The living room.

The house.

Outside the imagination.

I kept repeating that over and over again in my mind as my knees felt weak.

I was falling, Losing unconsciousness.

This is it, I'm either dying, or waking up....

Let's hope... I wake up...

3rd POV:

Thomas awoke in the living room, his eyes fluttering open quickly as he looked around the room, trying to find sight of his fellow sides.

Logan, Patton, Virgil, Roman, Janus and Remus were all in sight, they were all safe.

"Oh thank god!" Roman exclaimed, running to Virgil's side.

Patton crawled over to Logan as Logan tried to sit up, The pain subsiding in his body.

Janus and Remus were hugging each other, As of they would never see each other again.

And for a second, they thought they wouldn't.

Thomas looked over his sides, Tears forming in his eyes.

He felt disappointed in his self.

How could he be so senseless? So reckless? He wanted what was best for his side, But it turns out, he was doing the worst for them.

"I-I-I'm so sorry!" Thomas Exclaimed, Bursting into tears.

"Hey-hey- it's okay, Thomas, You didn't know..." Patton told him, Letting go of Logan and hugging Thomas.

"Just, Never do that again.. you scared us." Virgil sighed, Joining in on the hug.

"No matter what you do... You're not a bad person..." Remus told him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Everyone surrounded Thomas, Reassuring him, that they were alright and that everything would be okay.

And for once, Thomas felt safe, and happy.

He was happy his sides were okay and even if he had almost killed them, they still forgave him...

I guess it's true. That when you care for someone, You'd do anything for them. And no matter what wrongs they do, You still love them unconditionally.

That my fellow humans, Is a true friendship.

That will never be broken.

No matter what.
