Roman- Dance lessons.
(Warning: Remus appears for a few lines. Fluffy? Bad writing. I was bored. So, here ya go.)
(Y/n's) POV:
I plopped down on Thomas's couch, sighing.
"What's the matter, kiddo?" Patton asked from his spot in the floor.
Thomas had asked me to come over and watch some Disney movies with him and the others, but, during the first movie I got a phone call from a friend that said they were in desperate need.
My friend needed a plus one to a party like thing, that was mostly dancing, since their date cancelled on them. Me being the person I am, Couldn't seem to refuse. Even though, I had a good excuse.
"I just got a call from a friend of mine." I answered.
"That we gathered." Virgil said, From beside me.
"I believe what Patton meant, was, Why do you look disappointed?" Logan piped, from the other side of the couch.
"My friend asked me if I could be their plus one to a party." I answered him, crossing my arms.
"But, wouldn't that be something to be happy about? You get to go to a party!" Patton replied, holding onto his drink.
"It usually would be, but this party requires dancing."
The room fell silent.
"And?" Thomas inquired, from beside Patton, on the floor.
"I don't know how to dance." I mumbled, half hoping they wouldn't hear me.
"You-You dont know how to- Well that is going to be embarrassing." Virgil responded, returning his focus to the television.
"You don't know how to what?!?" Roman exclaimed.
Where'd he come from..?
"I don't know how to dance, okay?" I said exasperatedly.
I was disappointed in myself, why couldn't I have just declined the offer- Well- Plea.
"When is this party?" Thomas asked.
"It's in three days..." I replied, sinking lower into the couch.
"Okay! Get up, right now!" Roman told me, grabbing my hands and pulling me to my feet.
"What are you doing?" I asked him, scoffing a little.
"Royalty such as yourself must know how to dance." He said, backing up a little to the middle of the living room, dragging me along with him.
"The TV!" Virgil scoffed.
"But, I don't!" I responded to Roman.
"Which is exactly why, I'm going to teach you." He said, like it was obvious.
"What?"
"Ouuo!" Patton cooed, bouncing out of excitement.
"It would only be logical for Roman to teach you how to dance. He is the one who knows more about dancing and-" Logan stopped grabbing some flash card from his pocket and flipping through them, before he brought on up so we could all see. "All that jazz."
"Are you saying I'm smarter than you, Nerd?" Roman inquired, smirking.
Logan grabbed another card, Practically shoving it in Roman's face.
"Do not push your luck."
"Is no one going to bring up the fact that Roman just said he'll teach me how to dance?" I asked, standing awkwardly in the middle of the living room, with Roman holding onto my hands.
"Oh yeah, Patton can you put on some music?" Roman asked the dad of the group.
"Sure, Kiddo!" Patton agreed, jumping up and playing some music.
Okay, I love Patton and everything, he's a really good friend. But at this moment I could kill him. Why? Because the song he played was a freaking love song.
I gave Patton a glare as Roman pulled me closer. Patton just smiled knowingly.
"If the person you're dancing with takes the lead, then they are going to put one of their hands on your waist, like this." Roman said, Placing a hand on my waist, and grabbing my other hand with his free one.
"Ooouuuoooo!" Thomas teased, as Virgil cat called.
"Shut up!" I shouted at them.
"Then, you're going to put your hand on their shoulder, Like so." Roman resumed, not paying any attention to the others.
He grabbed my hand and gently placed it on his shoulder.
"Then you are going to take a step back as I step forward." He instructed, Taking a step forward.
I did as he told me, slowly taking a step back.
"Then I'm going to take a step to the right, but it's going to be your left." He told me, Pulling me a little closer.
I took a step to my left, which was his right as he stepped along with me.
"Then a step back, as you take a step forward." He says, taking a step back.
I took a step forward, as he instructed.
"Then I'll step to my left as you step to your right."
I did as he told me, taking a step to my right as he took one to his left.
"And then repeat." He said, not letting go of my waist.
"Oh boy! The sexual tension in this room is so thick! I can barely breathe!" I heard a obnoxious voice say.
I whipped my head around to see Remus sitting on top of the couch. No, like seriously, he was on top of the couch.
"No! No! No! No! No! You better get out of here, we were having a wholesome moment and you just ruined it." Thomas said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Remus ignored Thomas and looked at me.
"Has my brother ever told you about the dreams He's ha-"
"Okay, enough get out!" Thomas exclaimed, rubbing his temples.
I noticed that Logan held onto Patton's ears to try and block out any 'disturbing' words that Remus would say.
"What? I was just telling them about Roman's cru-"
"OUT!" Roman yelled, pointing off into the distance, to no where in particular.
"Fine, but just know that they're going to find out sooner or later. Also- Get some!" Remus said, sinking down.
Roman sighed.
"What an annoyance."
Logan let go of Patton's ears, making Patton confused as to what just happened.
"What was he talking about?" I asked, blinking a couple of times.
"Nothing. Anyway, I think you'll be an expert at dancing soon enough." Roman said, smiling at me.
. . . . .
Finally! The party was over... I danced so much that right now I think my feet will fall off.
Roman was right, I turned out to be great at dancing, thanks to him of course.
My friend thanked me for my help, since they didn't really want to go to a party alone.
I walked up to my apartment complex to see Roman at my door.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked, tiredly.
"I just wanted to know how everything went." He said, standing up straight, as I unlocked my apartment door.
"It went good. I had a lot of fun. I danced perfectly, all thanks to you." I answered, opening the door and letting Roman in.
"It was no trouble, I'm glad you had fun." He told me,walking behind me, inside of my apartment.
"But, Uhm-You see- I was wondering if- I was wondering if you wanted to go out some time?" He asked.
I froze in my spot, turning around slowly to face him.
His face was as red as a tomato, I could practically hear his heard rate speed up.
"Are you asking me out on a date?" I asked, smirking a bit.
What a sight to see, this usually confident prince is now nervous and- as much as he'd kill me to say it- he was anxious.
"Yes?" He answered, though it seemed more like a question than a statement.
"Well, then in that case. Yes, I'll go out with you." I told him, crossing my arms, not letting my smile falter.
He let out a sigh of relief, and looked back up at me, his confidence seeming to return.
"May I have this dance?" He asked, holding out a hand to me.
"Now?"
"Yes, now."
"But there's no-"
"No music, I know, I just want to be your last dance." He laughed.
"That was incredibly cheesy you know that?" I told him, Taking his hand.
He pulled me closer to him, placing a hand on my waist and intertwining his fingers with mine, as I placed a hand on his shoulder.
He looked into my eyes, his brown orbs shining with admiration.
His face leaning in closer to mine at each step we took, leaning in painfully slow.
Until finally his lips were on mine. Fireworks. That's all that I could describe it as, it felt like fireworks were going off in my stomach. His hand gently caressing my cheek as he pulled me closer.
He pulled away, smiling at me.
"You dance wonderfully, who taught you?" He laughed.
