Third POV:
Remus and (Y/n) walk into the Mall, Hand in hand, smiling softly at each other.
Remus traced his thumb over the newly placed engagement ring, he had placed on Their finger not too long ago.
(Y/n) was always the one for him. They never saw him as the bad guy, and always loved him no matter how dirty or gross he can be at times. And Remus couldn't just let them slip away, so he quite literally 'put a ring on it'.
Besides, (Y/n) made him want to be better. They made him feel like he could be a better person for them, even though he hasn't done anything terribly wrong other than start a few fires.
They were both talking while starting to walk towards a specific store, but was stopped abruptly, by the sound of gunshots and screaming.
(Y/n) and Remus both jumped and whipped around to look at the entrance of the mall, which was where a man was holding a gun up in the air; towards the ceiling which he had shot only moments ago, shouting.
"Everyone on the ground!!" He yelled, pointing the gun in his hand at people.
Some people screamed, but all of them complied, including Remus and (Y/n).
Remus held on tightly to (Y/n), sheltering them with his own body as he looked up at the man who was nearing people and taking their jewelry.
He furrowed his eyebrows at the sight of the people in distress as well as the fear of (Y/n) and others.
They looked up at Remus, questionably, as he started to stand.
They pulled him back down towards them and whispered to him, glancing at the armed gunman in the middle of the mall, which was really close to them.
"What are you doing?" They whispered to him, Concerned and frightened.
"I have to do something." Remus said to them, Lowering his voice so they wouldn't get caught talking.
"No, Remus, don't be the hero, just stay here and wait for the man to leave, he hasn't shot anyone." They responded, Holding tightly onto his elbow, from instinct mixed with fear.
"Yet. He hasn't shot anyone yet, (Y/n), I can't just sit here and stand by and watch, if I don't do anything, people may get hurt.." He replied, glancing at the gunman who was swiping money from people, getting closer to them. "I have to do this.."
"No, Dont-"
"I love you." He said kissing their hand quickly before standing up.
"Remus-"
He ran towards the man, Tackling him to the ground, making the man's gun skid a few feet away.
The quick action took many by surprise, but other people in the mall took this chance to run to a safe space and call the police.
The man fought back, Punching Remus in the jaw, which caused them both to change positions. The man now ontop of Remus, hitting him multiple times.
Remus kneed the man in the groin, causing the man to wince and groan in pain.
Remus took this chance to slide out from underneath the man, but the man had quick reflexes too.
The man crawled towards the gun, As Remus stood up.
He picked up the gun, while Remus went towards him. The man turned around and fired the gun.
The bullet pierced through his abdomen, Causing Remus to yell out; as well as others, and tackle the man again.
He grabbed the man's wrist and beat it, against the floor, making the man drop the gun.
Some mall customers came to help, kicking the gun out of the way, and holding the man down as the police were on their way.
Remus was able to let go of the man and look down at his abdomen, As (Y/n) ran towards him.
"Remus!!"
He looked up away from his bloody hand, His face paling, and his breaths becoming heavy as he slid down a nearby wall.
"(Y/n)." He smiled, Looking up at the person, who was applying pressure to his wound.
Tears poured down their face as their eyes met Remus's.
"I wasn't the bad guy, (Y/n)." He mumbled, Smiling, as he slouched, his back against the wall. "I'm not the bad guy."
He looked up at them, His eyebrows furrowing as he saw them sob quietly, looking down.
"...Don't cry, Darling... I can't bare it..." He told them, wiping a few tears off of their face, with his clean hand. "Look at me, (Y/n)."
They hesitated, but looked into his eyes, sorrowfully.
"I love you... Remember that, alright?"
"Remus, don't talk like that, you're going to be fin-"
"Say it back, (Y/n)... Please.." He mumbled, His eyes growing heavy as he looked at them, regretfully.
"..I love you too." They said, sniffling.
"Good.." He smiled, sighing. "Hold my hand, and sit with me... Will you?"
They did as they were told, Sitting down infront of him and holding his hand, as the police arrived.

(Y/n) looked up at the TV, tears staining their face, as their head pounded and their eyes grew puffy.
"Just this evening, we had a mall shooting, by a man who has now been arrested and put in prison."
They twisted the engagement ring on their finger, taking shaky breaths as they listened to the news broadcast on the television.
"Many people survived the armed robbery, thanks to the bravery of one man, named Remus Sanders. Sadly he was shot and killed in the process, though many people came home safe due to him."
They sobbed, holding onto their knees as they shook. Crying heavily, the tears never stopped falling after what had happened.
Remus was the one they loved and no one could replace him, but now, he was gone.
They gripped their shirt tightly, memories flooding in of the incident and what they both had before.
Why did Remus have to do that? Why did he have to step in? Why did he have to die? Why did he have to try and save everyone?
