Wendy Marvell P.O.V

I woke up, the beds in the hotel weren't as comfortable as I remembered back during the grand magic games

"Wake up child, while you were asleep I went and found an apartment" Charle said flying above some packed bags "I also managed to pack  all our our bags" she said proudly

"where did you find the time to do that..." I said then looked at the clock, it's 4:35 p.m. "What, Charle I overslept I'm so sorry!!!" I apologized bowing 50 times, well maybe only five

"Wendy, child it's fine you've been through a lot" she said giving me a look of sympathy "now, let's go check out that apartment" she said changing the mood "go get dressed I told the Landlady we would be there in 2 hours" She said causing me to rush

~Time Skip

Charle's and I were only a couple blocks away "Charles do you think we have enough money to actually get the apartment" I asked "I have been saving my money from the missions that I did with our team (1) , but I'm not sure i this is enough" I said touching the small bag that carried all my savings

"Wendy don't worry about that, for now at least, even if we don't have enough money the Landlady to book the apartment, then we can get a job or go on some missions and come back and buy the apartment" she explained to me

"oh well that's great I wonder if the apartment will be nice" I said curiously a smile grazing my face

~Time Skip~

everything went well, I mean we didn't have the money to buy the apartment, but the lady said she would book it for us, she even gave us some places that we can find employment in, she was really nice

"hmm the first place is... a blacksmith!!!" Charle yelled with a look of what seemed to be disgust "this is no job for a lady!!" She said crumbling up the paper and tossing it in a nearby trash bin

"well what else did they have the nice lady gave us quite a lot" I said in my quiet voice

"hmm hostess, singer, waitress..." She said listing a couple of the jobs with a look of disapproval "none of these are proper for a young maiden such as yourself... -wait whats this an assistant at a bakery... Perfect!!!" She exclaimed hope in her voice

"what does it say" I asked "you know the qualifications...for the job that is" I said timidly

"it only says they need someone who knows how to bake" Charle said a sparkle in her eyes "Wendy you can bake! Your not completely useless!!!" she cheered while I sat in my emo corner mumbling stuff about being useless

~Time Skip~

"So this is the bakery..." Charle said looking at a small rundown cafe-looking shack "you know what Wendy maybe this wasn't such a good idea" she said starting to turn around "maybe we should look for anot-"

"Wait t-the air around this area...it smells...really Sweet!!" I exclaimed the scent was so...so delicious I could smell so many flavors Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry...

"W-Wendy what smell I don't smell anything.." Charle said, it must have been my dragon Slayer smelling abilities, but before she could say anything I ran and followed the scent "WENDY!!" Charle screamed following me

here right here this is where the smell is coming from "H-Hello is anyone here" I said quietly nearly a whisper "Hello!!" I yelled

"Wendy what were you thinking running like that" Charle said which was hard to understand because she was panting "...there's no one here, maybe we should just go bac-"

"H-Hello..." a small quiet voice said, I turned around and saw a little girl she looked a little over 5 maybe 6 she was wearing what looked to be rags, n-Not that I was making fun of her in anyway "are you here to see Oba-Chan too, and have some of her nummie treats?" she asked a smile on her face

"I'm quite sorry child but we were just leaving" Charles said in a gentle voice, but I gave her a look  'I want some of Oba-Chans nummies' after a couple of seconds she finally gave in "But I suppose we could stay or a while

"Yay!!" Both me and the girl Cheered, then we looked at each other and giggled "My names Yuki, and your Wendy and Charles right!!" she yelled surprising me in Charles, how did she know who we were "all the kids here know you, Your Wendy Marvell the Sky Dragon Slayer from Fairy Tail, are you here on a mission" she asked innocently

"o-oh well.." I said my voice cracking "no you see Fairy Tail is umm...how do I say this...no more" I finished as my eyes started to tear up panicking the younger brunette

"U-Um it's okay please don't cry" she said frantically waving her hands "I-I know some of Oba-Chan's 'Magic Cake' will help, follow me!!" She yelled dragging me and Charle with her, she was surprisingly very strong

as she dragged me around I noticed how many children were walking around... alone, abandoned... just like me, when we reached a certain area their were many children surrounding an old lady with fading black hair and very light kind brown eyes, tan skin, and faint smile lines

"ah hello Yuki, I see you have brought guest" the old lady said in a smooth quiet voice as she stood up and walked toward us "Hello it's very nice to meet you I'm Alexandra, but most of the children here just call me Oba-Chan" she said giving us a kind smile

"U-Um I'm Wendy and this is my Best Friend Charle" I said returning a smile that could probably never compare to hers "so umm Miss.Oba-Chan Yuki told me something about a... magical cake" I said excitement in my voice causing her to give a raspy laugh

"oh Wendy, just Oba-Chan is fine, but..." she said pulling something from behind her "if this is the magical cake you were talking about, I will gladly give you some" she said handing me a beautifully made slice of cake matching the ones the rest of the children were eating

the cake was white, not like vanilla cake, but completely white even the frosting was white it harbored a nice red raspberry on top it was simple yet amazing, just like Yuki said, Magic

"I-Is this for me" I asked practically feeling the drool coming down from my mouth. the old lady gave me a nod telling me I could eat it,so  did, I scarfed it down

"Wendy!!" Charle yelled with a horrific look on her face "that is no way a lady should eat......you saved none for me!" she yelled

"oh no Charle... I-I'm so sorry" I said realizing what I did, I looked at Oba-Chan "m-may I please have another piece for Charle, please" I begged her

"of course" the old lady said handing me another Cake " well then I should be going, you can find me here everyday if you ever need something" she said while walking away

~Time Skip~

"well today was eventful" I said to Charle as we were walking back home

"It truly was" Charle said walking with me holding her cake "................Wendy The job!!" Charle yelled

"dang it....." i whispered to myself
