Lilith
I heave into the toilet bowl again, chucks of meat and blood pouring from my mouth. God this is disgusting.
"What in the name of the Seven Kingdoms is going on!" I hear Enid cry as she walks into Wednesday and her shared bathroom where I have currently taken up residence on their floor. "Lillian, are you okay?"
A gentle hand on my back has me tensing, growling at the unfamiliar scent as it begins to cling to my skin. I like Enid, I do, she's a sweet girl but I really need her to fuck off right now and leave me be.
Okay, so I don't like Enid. I find her over the top and exhausting but that's not the point right now when I'm trying to stop myself from lashing out at her.
"Okay, no touching. Like your sister. Got it." Enid mumbles and steps back. "Should we call someone? Weems, the nurse?"
"Absolutely not." Wednesday snaps, as she walks away from her wardrobe towards me. "Lilith just ate something yesterday that didn't sit well with her."
"Is that why you weren't in class? People had placed bets that you had run away or- is that blood!" Enid cries, sounding sick as I hear her steps retreat. "What did she eat last night?"
"My sister went on an en masse killing spree and slaughtered half the residents of Jericho." I snort at Wednesday's flat voice but immediately start gagging when I feel another wave of literal guts fight their way up my throat. "I'm kidding, Enid. Stop looking so scared. Lilith is the white sheep in our family."
"That doesn't reassure me in the slightest." Enid harshly whispers. "And we are going to be late to class."
"Then go on without me." Wednesday commands. "I'll stay with my sister."
"Except Weems is picking you up for your therapy appointment." Enid reminds Wednesday and we both ignore how my sister tenses. "So you have to come with."
"I will catch up with you in a moment then, let me just find someone to keep an eye on Lilith." Wednesday calls and Enid waits a moment before leaving.
I immediately sag down, resting my head back against the wall as I slump over to the side. Wednesday watches me with apprehension. I wait for my sister to say something but she only turns and walks back to her room, standing over her bed as she glares at the covers.
Does she really hate therapy that much?
Wednesday darts forward, pulling back the covers as she glares down at-
"I knew it." Wednesday snaps with enough venom that I wince. "Hello, Thing."
I distantly register some kind of cat and mouse chase between my sister but I ignore them in favour of dragging myself to my feet and into the shower. Apparently, raw dire wolf doesn't sit well in my human stomach. No surprise there.
My body relaxes and I can't help my sigh of relief as the warm water of the shower hits my feverish skin. Yep, I needed this.
"-the faint whiff of neroli and bergamot in-"
I hum loudly, blocking the two out as I scrub at my body. Annoyingly there are still traces of blood and dirt in places that Bianca wasn't able to get rid of yesterday and I was too exhausted to do anything other than go back to sleep when I got to my room.
A small musical voice fills my ears and I smile at the small female fire sprites in the candles hug on either side of the bathroom mirror. They had been most supportive while I was trapped in here.
"-thought I wouldn't find out proves-" Are they still fighting? "-they underestimate me."
Wednesday could fight her way through the seven pits of hell and still maintain that attitude. I finish up scrubbing down my body, listening to Wednesday rant about our parents being evil puppeteers. I love my sister but she needs to get over this childish obsession with our parents trying to control her.
Not that her people skills are helping her in that regard. Her and mother keep clashing as a result and it only makes it worse.
"-pull our strings from afar." That better not have included me.
I sigh and tighten the towel around my body as I step out of the shower and pick out an outfit, but then I pause. Uniform. This god forsaken place has a uniform. I think that was the one plus of normie school, they had no uniform. In America at least. We had a brief spat in Britain where we were subject to awful uniforms.
Fuck it. I'm not wearing one of those monstrosities today.
"- I lock you in here-"
Threats, wonderful. Their little argument should be coming to a close soon then. I tidy away my stuff in the bathroom, swirling toilet cleaning around the toilet bowl to be polite. Enid might hunt me down if she has to smell vomit thanks to the heightened senses. A shiny pair of metal earrings caught my eye and I quickly swept them away. Enid won't notice and she clearly does not appreciate the shiny gems if she's left them so carelessly.
"First order of business." Wednesday declares as she greets me with a smile, raising an eyebrow at my definitely not school uniform outfit. "We're going to escape this teenage purgatory."
My stomach churns at Wednesday words. At her assumption that I would just agree with her instantly. She has always assumed I would side with her.
"Are you ready to go?" Translation from Wednesday speak, 'are you okay now?'
"Yeah." I answer, giving her a subdued smile as we move to leave the room. "I have class next but I was thinking of studying and exploring the town after."
"How convenient. Shall we meet up for coffee?" Wednesday mocks but gives me a smirk and I nod in answer. This should be interesting.

Potions class involves a lot more theory work than I had expected. The textbooks in my bag weigh me down as I quickly make my way to class. Bianca had told me we were in the dungeons of the school, deep down in the charmed rooms. The fireproof ones.
Weems had mentioned that my room was made from the same charmed stone.
The class room is surprisingly well lit considering it's underground, but the long trek to the class has me thinking we're actually under the lake and not the school. That and the massive underwater greenhouse we're in.
I take a seat next to Bianca, giving the siren a quick smile before pulling out my books and hesitantly eyeing Xavier on the row over. He's not looking at me, keeping his head down on his sketchbook.
"Today we will be working through the various healing potions."
A burning on the side of my head has my attention drifting back to Xavier, who quickly looks away at my attention. I can't help but blush, remembering Bianca's encouragement. I keep my focus on my textbook, even if I can feel Xavier's attention on me.
Quickly pulling out the equipment required I go over the shiny instruments and compare them to the diagram in the textbook. We work in relative silence, Bianca and I exchanging the odd word but... we haven't exactly spoken about what we are going to do publicly. How we're going to treat each other. And then of course, there's Xavier.
Not that we've spoken at all. He literally found me in the woods naked... and we haven't spoken a single word to each other. We really need to talk. If only to give Xavier his coat back.
A small pattering of claws rippled across my desk and I watched the small dragon clamber across my textbook with a soft smile. The little black charcoal creature is dragging a piece of paper with it. I smile down at the creature, swiping the small shiny iron beads out of the creature's way till they fall off the side of the table and into my open bag beneath the table.
The creature tuts.
I glance at Xavier who for once doesn't look away and instead gestures to the piece of paper.
ₐᵣₑ yₒᵤ ₒₖₐy?
Am I? I did have a drug induced black out where I killed a rare and endangered creature.
𝐼'𝓂 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝑒, 𝓉𝒾𝓇𝑒𝒹, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝐼'𝓂 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓌.
I quickly write down, sliding the note back to the little beastie when the professor isn't watching. I wait silently for a reply, biting my lip to contain my giddiness at finally having a 'normal' school experience.
ₗᵢₐᵣ, yₒᵤ ₗₒₒₖ ₚₐₗₑ ₐₙd ᵤₙwₑₗₗ.
Xavier gives me a look when I glance over at him, narrowing his eyes in disapproval but I can see the concern shining in his eyes.
𝒯𝓊𝓇𝓃𝓈 𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓇𝒶𝓌 𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓂𝒶𝓁 𝒹𝑜𝑒𝓈𝓃'𝓉 𝓈𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝑒𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝒽𝓊𝓂𝒶𝓃 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓂𝒶𝒸𝒽
Xavier's snort of amusement interrupts the professor's monologue and I slap a hand across my mouth to stop my giggles.
"Mr Thorpe?" The professor snaps, irritation shining in his eyes. "Something you would like to share?"
Xavier glances at me before smirking up at the teacher. "Nope, nothing at all."
A/N: What do you want the interactions between Tyler and Lilith to be like?
