The next day the first class they have is English with Present Mic. Four English sentences are on the board.

"Now, which of these four sentences contains a mistake?" he asks. "Hey everybody look alive! Grammar rules!"

"This really sucks..." Katsuki groans.

Kaida sighs, raising her hand.

"Ah, female Bakugo, lay it on us!"

She sighs. "There's a mistake in two of the sentences."

"Huh? What?!" Present Mic looks to the sentences he wrote on the board.

"In number 3, you wrote 'well' instead of 'will.' Number 4 it should be 'that's' or 'that is' not 'that'," Kaida says. "I mean, you can say 3 like that, but it's incredibly old fashioned and no one says it like that anymore."

Everyone looks to her in surprise, especially ponytail as she only caught the mistake in number 4.

"I'm impressed! You must be really well spoken in English."

"Of course she is," Katsuki scoffs. "She probably watches more things in English then she does Japanese."

"Not wrong there," she shrugs. "I watch a lot of anime in English."

Hero course training with All Might starts any minute and to say the class is excited is an understatement.

He enters the room with an extra flare that was... well, extra. "I aaammm... here, coming through the door like a hero!"

Everyone cheers in awe and excitement.

"He's actually pretty childish, isn't he?" Kaida snickers, glancing at her brother.

"Welcome to the most important class at UA high!" All Might says. "Think of it as heroing 101! Here you will learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good!" He strikes a pose. "Let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!"

"Fight training!" the twins cheer.

"Real combat?!" Deku squeaks.

"But one of the keys of a hero isss..." he points to the wall that begins to move out to reveal cases. "...looking good! These were designed for you based on your quirk registration forms and requests you sent in before school started. After you change, come out to ground beta!"

"Yes sir!" everyone cheers.

The twins look to each other with smirks. Everyone grabs their case based on their seat number and heads off to the changing rooms.

Once in the changing rooms, brunette girl comes up to Kaida.

"Uh, can I ask you a question?"

"I'd rather you not."

"I was just curious why you and your brother hate Deku so much?"

Kaida turns to glare at her, making the girl flinch back. "We hate him because he's a lying fucking snake. We've fucking known Deku since we were born, he's always been quirkless. It doesn't make sense how he has a quirk now! It's not possible! So he must've had this quirk all along and just hid it from us. He's a piece of shit that deserves to be squashed." She slips on the rest of her hero costume and leaves before anyone else tries to talk to her.

"It is rather odd," Momo comments. "I've never heard of such a case where someone discovers their quirk this late. Sure, 2, 3, or even a rare 4 years but 10, 11? It's incredibly odd."

"Times are a changing these days!" pinky comments. "Maybe quirk manifestations will take place later in life!"

Kaida ends up meeting up with her brother.

He smirks. "Now we really do look like twins."

She grins back. "The Explosion Twins: Firework and Flare!"

He laughs. "I told you my fucking name isn't going to be fucking Firework."

"Yeah, yeah, but King Explosion Murder is a mouthful," Kaida waves off. "How about Blast or Explosion or Burst!"

"You're annoying, you know that?"

"But you love me!" she chuckles, jumping up onto his shoulders into a piggyback. "Away my steed!"

"Hey! Get the fuck off!"

"Nope, I like being up high!" Kaida responds.

Katsuki sighs and grumpily trudges forward anyway. "You're lucky you're my imouto."

The others begin to show up behind the two.

"They seem really close," lightning bolt says. "It's weird seeing them like that when they're so indifferent to everyone else."

"Yeah, I wonder why?" red hair says.

"They think they're better than everyone else," ponytail answers. "They're overconfident and stuck up. It's repulsive really."

They all make it to the exit into the giant fake city area where All Might is standing, waiting for them.

"They say the clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentlemen!" All Might grins. "Behold, you are the proof!"

"Hell yeah!" Kaida cheers with her hands in the air, little pops popping from her risen palms in excitement.

All Might explains the rules then they all get paired into teams.

Team A: Deku and Uraraka.
Team B: Shoji and Todoroki.
Team C: Mineta and Yaoyorozu.
Team D: Iida and Katsuki.
Team E: Aoyama and Ashido.
Team F: Sato and Koda.
Team G: Jiro and Kaminari.
Team H: Tokoyami and Asui.
Team I: Ojiro and Sero.
Team J: Kaida and Kirishima.

Kirishima grins and moves over beside the Bakugos, looking up at Kaida. "Hi! Looks like we're partnered together!"

Kaida looks down at the red haired boy in disdain, looking him up and down. "Great," she sarcastically scoffs and slides off her brother's back who is also glaring the boy down. She once again studies the red haired boy, specifically his body, then smirks.

Katsuki notices and smacks the back of her head. "Don't be a perv."

"Ow, Suki!" she grunts, shoving his shoulder. "He's presenting, so I'm looking!"

Said boy just looks back and forth between the twins in confusion as they harshly whisper to each other.

"Moving on, first up are..." All Might reaches his hands into two boxes. One says heroes and the other says villains. "...these!" He pulls out a ball with a letter on each. "The heroes are Team A! The villains are Team D!"

Deku and Uraraka vs Katsuki and Iida.

The twins grin.

"Kick his ass, ani," Kaida says, patting her brother on his back.

The group walks off, leaving the two teams competing and All Might alone as they go to the monitor room to watch the battle. Kirishima walks along side Kaida, much to her annoyance.

"I'm–"

"Don't fucking talk to me. My brother's battle is up, and I don't need any distractions from watching him. That especially goes to some shitty red haired loser like you," Kaida harshly spits.

"Aww, come on don't be like that," he replies. "I'm just trying to be frien–"

She cuts him off with a glare. "Seriously shut up."

"Yeah, okay, alright. We'll talk later."

Kaida stares at the screen in shock. Her brother... lost... to Deku.

Katsuki, Uraraka, and Iida line up at the front in a new observation room as the building was too destroyed from the first fight to continue to be inside. Deku went off to Recovery Girl as he was passed out.

"Well despite the results, the MVP of this exercise is young Iida," All Might says much to Iida's shock.

"HUh?!" Iida exclaims as everyone murmurs in confusion.

They go on to talk about why and ponytail ends up explaining everything perfectly.

They move on to the next battle with Team B as the heroes and Team I as the villains.

Kaida heads over to her brother who stays in the back away from everyone.

"Are–"

"Don't," Katsuki shakily huffs. "I... I... d-don't need you to rub it in my face..."

Kaida's face turns soft as she looks at her brother. "I wasn't going to. He took us all by surprise. It's okay."

"No it's n–" He swallows to cut himself off. "I... I just need to be alone... right now..."

"Okay," Kaida nods, moving back to stand with her partner.

"Is he alright?" he asks.

"Mind your own business," Kaida growls, turning her attention to the monitors in front of her.

Everyone watches from the monitor room as Todoroki completely freezes the whole building, making everyone shiver.

"He has capacitated them without compromising the weapon or his teammate," All Might chatters out. "Take close note of his techniques students."

"Whoa, he's so strong!" red hair voices.

He touches the bomb and wins the match before heating up the building to melt everything.

"Uoh, holy crap!" big lips shouts.

"That guy's kind of intimidating," lightning boy says.

"He got in on a recommendation, so he must be good," frog girl says.

After the review of the second battle, they move on to the next match. Team H as the heroes and Team J as the villains.

"Aw man, I wanted to be the heroes," red hair pouts.

"Tough luck, loser," Kaida says. "Let's go." She moves to her brother before leaving. She doesn't say anything but kisses his cheek before continuing out the room.

The two get into the building, immediately moving their bomb to another location that doesn't have any pillars in the room.

"So, we kinda got off on the wrong foot when we first met," he says, holding out his hand. "I'm Eijiro Kirishima. My quirk is hardening." He shows her.

She looks him up and down. "Am I supposed to know who the fuck you are? I've never met you before in my life."

"We met—Oh, uh yeah, nevermind... My bad," he corrects himself.

"Dumbass," Kaida says. "I have the same quirk as my brother except I'm able to produce more nitroglycerin from my hands."

"So, our opponents are the bird guy and the green haired girl," Kirishima says.

"He has some sort of shadow quirk, so I'm gonna guess he depends on it and stays in the dark. That means I'm going to take him on. Light from my explosions should handle him. That means you gotta handle frog girl. She can stick to things and has a long tongue that I'm sure she can lift you with, so you gotta watch that."

"Wow, you really do your research."

"I'm just observant and smart," Kaida says, stretching out her upper body.

Kirishima's face turns red as she does, and he turns in the other direction to not ogle her.

Kaida moves towards the bomb then begins to make a large circle far away and around the bomb, sliding her hand along the floor as she does.

Kirishima glances to her and tilts his head in confusion. "What are you doing?"

She grins. "Watch." She continues to make the circle and completes it. She steps back and sends a small spark on the ground.

The buzzer sounds off and the battle begins.

The small spark is enough to ignite the nitroglycerin on the floor. A ring of raging fire now completely surrounds the fake bomb.

"Whoa! That's awesome!" Kirishima compliments. "Good thinking!"

Kaida moves over to Kirishima. "Harden."

"W-What?"

"Your quirk, you perv," Kaida rolls her eyes.

"Oh." He hardens his arm.

Kaida takes out a box of matches from her belt pouch and lights one on his skin. She smirks, handing the box of matches to him. "If you look at the ground closely you can see all the spots where I left puddles of my nitroglycerin. Light a match and throw it on them to get an advantage on your opponent."

"Little traps! You're really good at this!"

"I know," Kaida says, moving to the door and coating the door frame in her sweat. She lights it up. "Protect the bomb."

"Where are you going?"

She turns to him with a smirk. "To set more traps and take out bird boy." She heads out the door. "I'm trusting you to protect the bomb. Don't disappoint me."

"Yes, ma'am!" he salutes.

Kaida continues around the building, setting more doorframes on fire as she goes to confuse the frog girl. She eventually hears the two coming from around the corner. She quickly moves in front of them and releases a large explosion at them.

The 'heroes' manage to dodge the majority of the blast but did still get slightly burned.

"It's about fucking time I found you two!" Kaida shouts viciously, taking up the role as the villain. "You'll never find the bomb in time, stupid heroes!"

Frog girl manages to wrap her tongue around Kaida. "Guot ya!"

Kaida smiles evilly, grabbing the tongue. "I was hoping you'd do that." She lights up her hands and burns her tongue.

Frog girl's tongue immediately unwraps itself and is drawn back into the girl's mouth. "Ow... ow ow..."

"You alright?!" bird boy shouts, sending out his shadow to attack.

"Finnee..." frog mutters, sticking her tongue out in pain. "I don't tink I can use my tongue now doh."

Kaida sends a big explosion towards the shadow, making it draw back a little. "Is that really all you got? What pathetic heroes I have to fight. Seems you only have 8 more minutes until the bomb explodes. Tick tock, times a wasting."

"I'll go ahead," frog says.

"I'll try to hold her off."

"Not so fast," Kaida says as frog tries to sneak past. She sends an explosion from both hands. One directed at the shadow beast and one at frog's back.

The force of the blast knocks frog girl to the ground and makes her smack her head against the floor. She doesn't move.

"Asui!"

"Hmph, seems that your partner has passed out," Kaida says, directing her attention to the bird. "Now it's your turn." She maneuvers around the shadow and moves in close to the bird boy, slugging him across the face. "Aren't so strong without your little shadow, huh?" She places a hand against his chest. "Surrender or I blow a hole through your chest."

He holds his hands up in defeat. "Go Asui!"

Kaida scoffs. "My dumb partner should be strong enough to handle her. That is if she can find him in time. Seems you only have 4 minutes left." She takes out the capture tape and wraps it around his wrists. "Good choice surrendering by the way."

She leaves him behind as she goes to follow frog girl. She leans against the wall in the hallway, watching the frog girl sluggishly leap from door to door to find where the bomb is located. The female twin pushes herself off the wall as she counts down the final seconds. She begins to head to the exit of the building, knowing they've won.

The bell sounds.

"THE VILLAINS hAve WOOOOONNN!" All Might shouts.

"Damn right," Kaida says proudly.

They gather in the monitor room.

"The MVP of this battle goes to young Bakugo!" All Might exclaims. "Does anyone know why besides the obvious fact that the villains won?"

Ponytail answers again as she has for pretty much everyone so far. "She took down her opponents easily and had made up a good plan on the spot if she wasn't able to detain her enemies. I'm sorry, I misjudged you. You're a lot better than you'd seem to be."

"And that's why you never underestimate your opponent!" All Might says.

The rest of class completes their trials, and everyone meets outside by the exit aka the entrance they came in.

All Might blows a whistle. "That's a wrap!"

Kaida ignores what he has to say and stays near her quiet brother.

All Might leaves in a rush and everyone mutters in awe at how fast he is. The class then decides to head off to change back into their normal uniforms to complete the rest of the school day.

Kaida wraps an arm with her brother's, only for him to jerk his arm away from her and head off to change as well. She decides against pushing it and shuffles along behind him.

Kirishima notices the sad look on her face and slows down, so he can walk beside her. "Hey, you were awesome today!"

"Yeah, whatever..." Kaida mumbles.

"So, uh..."

"Ugh... Jeez, why are you... trying to befriend me so fucking hard?" Kaida huffs. "Do I look like I'm here to make some stupid friends? You're really fucking annoying. Just leave me the hell alone." She storms off to the girl's changing rooms.

Kaminari falls back beside Kirishima along with Sero.

"Dude, I understand she's like really hot, like extremely so, but like why are you trying so hard to be friends with her?" Kaminari asks.

"Yeah, her and her brother are obviously not interested," Sero adds.

"I wanna be friends with everyone!" Kirishima admits. "I figure I may as well befriend the people I know are going to be the hardest! Also, I think they're really cool and manly!"

"I think she'd slug you in the head if she heard you call her manly," Sero comments.

"Agreed," Kaminari nods.

"Besides, I think the two of them need real friends," Kirishima says, clenching his fists. "It looks to me they only care for each other, and I think that's kind of sad. I think everyone they fuss with gets scared of them and just is nice to them, so they don't get hurt. I don't think anyone's actually tried to be friends with the twins. I'm determined."

The two boys look at each other before looking back at the red head. "Alright, we'll join you too!"

The rest of the day passes, and Deku doesn't come back until the last few minutes of the final class.

Everyone meets him at the door and introduces themselves to him. He gets overwhelmed with all the attention.

The Bakugo twins left earlier. Katsuki has had enough of this day. They almost make it to the gates before getting stopped.

"Kacchan! Kaichan!" Deku calls out. "Wait up!"

The twins stop.

Kaida turns to him. "We don't want to talk to a dirty lying snake like you!"

Deku freezes in surprise before relaxing and looking down. "I have to tell the two of you something..."

"We don't wanna listen to whatever a liar like you has to say!" Kaida barks.

"Please!" Deku shouts. "It's important. Maybe then you'll understand what's been going on... I wasn't hiding my quirk from you guys. It was given to me by someone else... recently... But I can't tell you who I got it from, so don't ask! Sounds crazy, I know. It's like something out of a comic book only it's real. The thing is... I don't really have any control over this power yet. I haven't figured out how to make it my own, but I'm trying. That's why I didn't want to use it against you in the exercise, but in the end that was the only way I had a chance at winning. I've still got a lot to learn. I know that."

Katsuki begins to shake in anger, trying hard not to blow his top. "Ch ch tch..."

"That's why I'm here," Deku continues. "You'll see. I'll work until I have full control of this borrowed quirk, and I'll finally beat you with my own power!" His determined face quickly shifts into a deer caught in headlights look.

"How dumb do you think we are?" Katsuki speaks up after a moment of silence. "Borrowed power? Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. You already made a fool of me in that damn training exercise. So? Did you come here to rub it in? I lost! And to make matters worse I lost to you! I came in second in the exam! But that's not enough! When I was watching that ice guy... I realized I couldn't beat him in a head to head fight!" He clutches his head with his left hand. "Crap! I even agreed with what that girl said! My attack was so stupid!" He throws his hand down as tears cloud his vision. "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! Urgh!" He clenches his fists. "Enjoy that win Deku! You won't get another! I'm just getting started! Got that?! I'm gonna end up the number one hero! No matter what!" He turns away and harshly wipes at his eyes with his sleeves. "You'll never beat me again, you bastard! Don't even try!"

"THERE YOU AAARRRE!" All Might suddenly comes dashing in from no where. "Ba~ku~go!~ I found you!" He places his hands proudly on Katsuki's shoulders then breathes a little heavily after his statement. "Just so you know, pride is an important attribute to have but while you certainly have the abilities to become a pro hero, there's still plenty you have to learn!"

"Let go of me, All Might," Katsuki growls. "Right now."

"Hmm?" All Might hums confused, looking down at him.

"Save your speeches," Katsuki says as he glares at the number one hero. "I'm gonna be more famous than you, and I'll do it without your help."

"Uuh... uhh..." All Might utters, lifting his hands off the boy.

Katsuki continues to walk with his sister close beside him. They continue in silence down to the train and sit together once on it.

Kaida sighs, pulling her older brother to lay his head on her lap and running her fingers through his hair. "Are we just not gonna talk about the panic attack you just had? We don't have to tell mom, but we are going to talk about it tonight. I'm staying in your room whether you like it or not."

"I didn't have a panic attack..."

"You did, and you been having one pretty much all day, it finally sent off at that point," Kaida says.

"I don't have panic attacks."

"Apparently you do now," Kaida says. "I know what a panic attack looks like, don't tell me I'm wrong."
