"Hurry up Hunkyhair. I don't have all night to guard your room from your dad," Ro says interrupting my thoughts

"I know, I know," I say as I hop out of the window and swoop to a branch on one of the trees outside my window.

"Don't forget your deal too! One gigantic piece of mallowmelt from the secret cafeteria!" she calls to to me as I slide down the twinding tree trunk

"Don't have to tell me twice!" I yell back to her as I put my crystal to the light and leap away to Foxfire.

When I get there the halls are quiet and dark. A little creepy if you ask me.

But when I get to the mail hall, I relax. The stars are shining so bright through the glass ceiling, make all the halls illuminated and sparkle with pleasure.

Reminds me of Foster in a way.

When she's not in bed and recovering from almost dying, that is.

It reminds me of when she first came to these exact halls. When I first met her actually going to the Healing Center. Her bright, confused, shy, and puzzled eyes staring at me and everyone else with curiosity.

I had never believed in love at first sight. Even though I was an Empath, it was still different.

Actually, with Foster it was different.

And no matter what happened tonight...

I would finally do it.

Finally tell her what I thought of her.

Finally tell her that I loved her.
