Chapter 6

Camilo quickly ran outside, greeting the guests in the form of themselves and showing them the way inside. Luisa put the wagons and donkeys in the stable, carrying them all in one go.

"Hey Luisa, can you be careful with my donkey? She's a quite young," An old lady called as she hopped out of her wagon.

Luisa nodded and picked up the donkey, carefully carrying it to where all the others were. Antonio helped with the donkeys and other various pets, leading them into the stables and other places depending what they were.

Isabella waited as people poured into the first part of the house, giving them flowers and colourful petals. People crowded around her, at awe with her gift, not perfect but colourful more like her than the perfect image she'd tried to play before.

Bruno stuck to the side, not really wanting to do anything as he was worried they wouldn't like his visions. Instead he was dragged away by Mirabelle into a crowd of people asking them questions, laughing and having a jolly time in the Madrigal's house.

Julieta walked around, offering food off platter to people before dinner starter. A lot of people accepted the food, especially ones with visible wounds.

Peppa and Felix stood together in the middle of a pack of children. Bright evening sunlight filtered through the windows, a sign that Peppa was happy and would hopefully not have a hurricane rade the house, blowing away all of the decorations. The children pulled at her dress, demanding for rainbows while Felix handed tried to explain to them how you can't actually touch rainbows, they are just a reflection. Still, there wasn't much succession in that.

Augustin played the piano, a fast upbeat song that people danced too, some already drunk with glasses of red wine visible in there hands. He grinned as he played and more people came up to him, suggesting songs to play next.

Abuela started making rounds of the room, giving answers to questions and making sure everything was okay, decorations in place and tables set with lots of food, cutlery and plates for every single one of the villagers.

Dolores was in a quieter part of the room, her hands in twined with Mariano's. They stared into each other's eyes and watched the commotion in the room, laughing and talking to each other in quiet voices so that no one could hear them.

Camilo, once all the guests had arrived and had been greeted, walked in and grinned when he saw his sister and Mariano over in the corner.  "Hey the two lovebirds are back!" He said, running over and stopping by them. He gasped and pretended to be surprised. "When's the marriage?"

Dolores glared at her brother as Mariano went as red as a tomato. Camilo kept laughing as Dolores pushed him away. Seeing as Dolores didn't want him there anymore, Camilo went and helped Maria with her screeching baby. He better quiet that up. Everyone's ears would be bleeding in a minute - especially Dolores's.

The night went on with singing and dancing, dinner was served and everyone stacked their plates high and ate, standing around and eating when someone else was talking. Casita cleaned up all the mess, so no matter what happened the tiles were always smooth and clean, and if nothing had ever happened. Speeches were made by Abuela and Mirabelle about last year, how they owe the village so much for their kindness and help in the dark times. Mirabelle talked about how family is key to everything, without them theirs always an emptiness. She talked about now matter what anyone has done they can always be forgiven, how not everyone has to be perfect and to be yourself should not be criticised in any way. But, as the celebration neared the end with desert and fireworks, Camilo could tell that everyone was enjoying it. Once they'd been worried about the magic, now it seemed stronger than ever.

                                                                                                *

Camilo looked around the table as his family seated themselves on the 12 chairs around the table. Everyone sat by their plate, the plate with their name engraved in it but their wasn't much use for those tonight. Most people only had the smallest portion of food on their plates after the many meals at the celebration, well, everyone had little food expect for Camilo. He still had quite a few bread rolls stacked up on his plate.

Dolores frowned at him. "For one so skinny, you eat a lot."

Camilo smirked. "I would eat more if I  turned into you and had seconds."

Dolores was about to respond when Abuela started talking, silencing all the chatter around the table.

Abuela smiled. "Tonight has gone very well thanks to all of you, you should all be proud of yourselves!" Abuela began, as everyone around the table started to whoop, well, everyone except the ones too formal to do that. "And I know that it will go on perfect the rest of tonight," Abuela gave Camilo a stern side-ways glance.

"No pressure then," he muttered.

"Camilo, be quiet!" Felix said in his attempt of a whisper, giving him a hard nudge.

"Today is a very memorable day when we remember what happened last year, when we remember how important family is."

Mirabelle nodded and stood up, grinning. "To family!" She called, raising her cup.

"To family!" Everyone echoed, holding up their cups in the air.

Seeing his chance to speak again, Camilo whispered to Dolores "Don't you dare spill the beans, Abuela will tell us tomorrow night but we can't ruin today!"

Dolores pursed her lips and nodded, understanding how serious this was from last year when she recked Isabella's proposal by telling everyone about Bruno's vision. At last she could keep a secret now - sometimes.

It was already late so once everyone had eaten dinner they hurried of to their rooms, or nursery for Mirabelle. It around 11:50 when the dinner ended. As Camilo walked into his room, he was glad to be back in there. The place where he knew nothing could hurt him. No butterfly would be getting in here. This was his room.

As he stepped in he felt room change and appear in front of him just like it had on the first day he got his gift. He felt his emotions, anxiety about what was about to happen, relief that today had gone well and the one thing he needed - answers. Answers to the questions he had, to what Abuela meant, to what that butterfly was and what threat it posed on them.

This was how his room worked, it changed to his needs and emotions, creating the perfect room he needed for himself just at that time. Changing and shifting just like him. And today - he was standing right in the middle of a massive library. The sky glowed above him, the colours of a perfect sunset. The old books were leather bound, sitting on old oak wood shelves with neatly carved patterns designed on them. The tiles were a deep purple - the colour of fear but Camilo hardly minded. Trees were around the library, looking perfect for climbing with glistening green leaves. They hung over the many bookshelves that stood tall and beautiful. Camilo nodded slowly and tapped his foot, smiling. He couldn't have thought of a better place to be himself.

I hope you like my idea of Camilo's room, I did some researching and looked at others peoples theory's. I saw one that said it might have furniture that turns into want he wants and there might be a club house for performing or something at the top of a tornado like room. I liked that idea and thats how I thought that it might just be whatever Camilo is feeling or needs in that moment - changing  and shifting like him. Tell me if you've got any other ideas for other peoples rooms!
