I have read your comments but couldn't reply sorry for that.

Many of you pointed out that Manik shouting on Nandini was wrong but let me tell you guys something, in real life if something like this happen it's not only shouting but a slap is rewarded.

And Manik shouted at Nandini out of concern which was quite evident if I'm not mistaken.

You guys can really put forth your views on this story the way you want guys.

Evening (same day)

"Maa, aap baat toh suniye." Manik pleaded to his mother who was angry at both Manik and Nandini after the scene.

"Nahi sunni mujhe baat Manik. Baat karna bekar hai tum dono se. Aur mujhe abhi behas nahi karni iske upar." She said banging the vessel on the slab making him sigh.

"Par maa, uski bhi galti nahi thi jo aap aise behave kar rahe ho. Usne mafi bhi mangi aapse, kyun drag kar rahe ho iss issue ko? Aisa toh hai nahi ki woh har hafte apne ghar hoke aati hai."

Listening him taking his wife's side made her more angry. The tension of distribution of property, the upcoming child in house and also missing Nandini had made her mad. The only option for her to remove the anger was on this situation which she was doing unknowingly.

"Thik hai, bhul jati hun. Lekin agli baar aisa kuch hua na Manik toh muh dikhane ke layak nahi honge hum sab. Already property, ek naya member ghar mein aana and Nandini ka ghum hona has worked me up alot. Iss baar maaf kar rahi hun. Agli baar kuch hua toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga."

The warning in her tone could easily make out. The last thing he wanted was that his mother and wife having quarrels. He just hoped nothing goes wrong with Nandini and his mother.

They all came to have dinner. This time after really long time all were sitting together to have food. Sneha being served healthy food to the pampering she got was kind of making Nandini jealous but she didn't voice out.

Even though she is sick she was not receiving any care from the family except for Manik. Gulping down the morsel she looked at her mother-in-law who forwarded her favourite rajma in her plate. She immediately put forth the plate and Neonika served her. The tiny smile that was threatening to show up finally showed when she saw Neonika smiling at her.

Manik sighed in a relief thinking for time being atleast they are fine.

"Maa, kal main office jaldi chala jaunga so just make sure ki mera breakfast taiyar rahe." Manik said remembering the he has to reach early tomorrow.

Nandini frowned at it. He could have just informed her instead of his mother.

"Kyun? Teri biwi tera breakfast prepare nahi kar sakti kya?" Vikram asked poking his nose inbetween.

"Maine maa ko isliye kahan kyunki Nandini abhi bhi recover ho rahi hai aur jald hi woh college join karegi. I don't want her to risk her life at this point where her education is at peak."

Manik replied making him shut. Nandini sighed and completed her dinner. Soon enough everyone were done with the dinner. Nandini helped Neonika in clearing out the space. She was going to wash the utensils when Neonika denied her to do so.

"Jao, aram karo."

"Nahi maa, I'll do it. Aap jao." Neonika sighed in tiredness and let her do it. She purposely left some utensils under the basin slab so that she doesn't go to wash all of it. Knowing very well about her health she didn't want to risk it.

Manik

Where is this girl? It's been 1/2 hour this girl has not come.

I was busy in clearing out the bills, yesterday water bill came which is quite high (900/-). Electricity bill was already cleared. House tax is to be paid.

Agh! I hope papa and bhai contributes in this atleast. Right now I have in my account 30k, out of which I have to give Nandini for her daily expenses.

Tch! Where is she now? It's already 10:30 past. She needs to take her medicines.

Before I could go to search her, she enters into the room making me sigh.

"Thoda aur time laga leti. Kar kya rahi thi tum?" I asked lookjng at her clothes which had stain water.

"Was just washing utensils. I don't want to burden maa with my sickness. Vaise bhi I will be fine soon." She said settling on the bed taking the medicine in her hand. Once done she looked at me in serious manner making me frown.

"Kya hua? Aise kyun dekh rahi ho?"

"Apne mujhe kyun nahi bola about breakfast tomorrow? Maa ko batana jaruri tha kya?" She asked making me frown. What does this mean now?

"Why means? Ofcourse tumhari tabiyat theek nahi hai isliye maine kahan."

She sighed and said "Manik, I'm fine. Aapke yeh sab kehne ke vajah se mujhe bahut sunna padta hai. Apki dadi, aur maa mujhe incapable samjhte hai just because main college jati hun aur ghar nahi sambhal sakti."

Frustration has hiked up so much in me right now.

"Nandini, just don't start now. Ibreally don't patience in handling too many problems together. I'll keep in mind next time to inform you rather than my mother."

I said gritting my teeths. I don't know why Nandini always says My mother, my dadi, my brother etc. It's really irritating. With my mind being messed up I song want to have a fight before going to sleep.

Banging the bills and the file I lied down on my side to get some sleep. I felt the bed dip beside me making me aware that she is sleeping now.

After 2 weeks (Month of june)

Nandini had just finished her finale exams of MA part 1. The rains are supposed to be heavy in this month but hell, it's so hot still. Who will say the June month which used to be considered as heavy rainfall has now turned out to be may month.

Nandini rushed down the stairs with the clothes which were put to dry just 10 minutes before in the sun and now the it started pouring heavily.

As she entered she faced 2 children running around the house playing catch catch. They were the children if Manik's cousin who had come in May holidays.

"Arey arey, aram se. Gir jaoge baccho." Nandini said in a concern voice. Their mother was giving a damn about her children because she knew how stubborn and crazy they are.

"Arey chod do bhabhi, unko kuch bhi bolo woh sunne wale hai nahi. Bahut hi shaitan hai dono. Lao main madad kar dun." Manik's cousin offered help so they both started putting the clothes on the stand which they had bought recently.

"Nandini, toh bacchon ke baare mein kya socha hai?" She got surprised listening her questions.

"Ji? Didi abhi toh meri padhai bhi puri nahi huyi." Nandini mumbled to her who frowned.

"Arey? Toh kya hua? Baccha paida kar lo bhabhi, vakt kab nikal jaye pata nahi chalega. Aur vaise bhi abhi Sneha bhabhi pregnant hai aap bhi kara lo." Her point of view she found it silly.

"Yeh kya aadhar card hai jo main kara lun didi? Meri zindagi ka sawal hai. Mujhe apne kadmon pe khada hona hai na ki bacche palna. Maine aur Manik ne toh iske baare mein baat tak nahi ki."

"Arey? Toh shadi kyun ki agar aapko padhai puri karni thi?" Nandini sighed listening her and ignored the question. She knew if she says something more, then her complain will go to her in-laws immediately.

Sneha is 1 and 1/2 month pregnant as of now hence they were very cautious with her.

Nandini was in the kitchen trying to open the lid of the tin. Struggling with it she tried with a knife which she ended up in cuts on her 2 fingers.

"Shit!" Nandini pressed her hand under the water as blood was rushing alot.

"Nandini? Ydh kya ho gaya?" Dadi asked looking at her hand bleedinh alot.

"Kuch nahi dadi woh tin open kar rahi thi toh yeh ho gaya."

"Yahan aake baith, main medicine laga dun." Nandini nodded and settled beside her. She took good care of wound making Nandini smile.

Later Evening

"Mamu! mamu! Aap woh mujhe apne pairo pe uthao na." One if the neice said making Manik chuckle who was sitting on the sofa. He lied down kn the floor and folded his knee and made him lie down on the folded leg and raised his legs making him go little up.

They all giggled and laughed in the evening. They had tea and were just chilling down when Manik put a bomb on his family.

"Aap sabko kuch batana tha." They all waited patiently to listen the news.

"Well, mera transfer ho gaya nagpur mein hai aur issi mahine mujhe shift hona hoga." All got happy but one sould was sad.

"Congratulations. Toh kab nikalna hai tumhe?" Mr. Malhotra asked to which he replied looking at Nandini as she was looking down after she came to know about the transfer.

"Ji main soch raha thi ki 20 ko nikal lun." Nandini's head shot up listening his answer. He University starts from 15th June plus 20th June was her birthday.

"Acchi baat hai. Atleast tumhe 1 hafte ka vakt milta hai. Toh tum Nandini ko bhi sath leke jaoge?" Vikram asked him to which he shook his head.

"Main abhi aayi." Nandini excused herself and went to their room. She settled on the bed with a sad face.

After sometime Manik also entered and looked at Nandini who was staring outside with sad face. Hearing the sound of door closing Nandini ignored him.

"Ab kyun ignore kar rahi ho mujhe?" He asked wrapping his hand around her.

"Manik, aap 20 tareek ko ja rahe hain? Uss din mera birthday hai, aur pehla apke sath shadi ke baad. Aap kisi aur din nahi ja sakte?" She voiced with sadness clearing depicting her voice.

"Nandini agar main uss din nahi jaunga toh taiyari kaise karunga tumhe settle karane ke liye vahan?"

She frowndd listening him. Down he said no he is not taking her with him and now he is sayinh he needs to do preparation for her arrival.

"Matlab? Neeche toh aapne kahan ki aap mujhe sath nahi leke jayenge."

"Woh isliye because I don't want to disturb you during your new academic year. Vaise bhi university start hogi tumhari, aur kahan tum yahan se vahan travel karti rahogi? I'm thinking for your best only baba. Dekho, nagpur yahan se 2 ghanta dur hai aur tumhari university 1:30 ghanta lekin nagpur se it's only 1 hour. So you can travel easily. "

She nodded and told him to continue as she knew something more is also left now.

"Also, vahan jo basic necessities hoti hai woh arrange kar lun uske baad aa jana. Tumhara nahi toh classes miss ho jayenge." She got a smile on her face and hugged him tightly. He patted her head and pecked her forehead.
