008

neon lights of the carnival cast a colorful glow over the bustling crowds as Aurora, Walker, Charlie, and Leena wandered through the lively festivities. Laughter and music filled the air, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

As they wandered through the colorful chaos of the carnival, Emily's sudden appearance caught them off guard. She approached with a bright smile, her eyes lighting up as she greeted them with feigned surprise.

"Oh, hey guys! What a coincidence running into you here," Emily exclaimed, her voice dripping with faux enthusiasm.

Aurora exchanged a wary glance with Walker, her instincts on high alert as she sensed Emily's ulterior motives.

Charlie, ever vigilant, stepped closer to his sister, a protective stance clear in his posture.

"Uh, hey, Emily," Walker replied, his tone guarded as he sized up the situation.

Leena shot Emily a skeptical look, her lips pressed into a thin line. "Funny running into you here," she remarked, her voice tinged with skepticism.

Despite the strained atmosphere, Emily pressed on, her smile never faltering. "So, what are you guys up to? Mind if I tag along?" she asked, her gaze lingering on Walker.

Aurora's grip on Walker's hand tightened instinctively, a surge of apprehension coursing through her veins. She exchanged a silent glance with Charlie and Leena, silently communicating their shared wariness of Emily's sudden appearance.

Walker hesitated for a moment, torn between his desire to avoid conflict and his loyalty to Aurora. "Uh, sure, I guess," he replied, though his voice lacked its usual warmth.

As they continued through the carnival, Emily's presence loomed over them like a dark cloud, casting a shadow over what should have been a carefree evening. Aurora couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over her, a nagging sense that trouble was brewing on the horizon.

And Despite their attempts to enjoy the carnival, Emily's persistent presence grated on Aurora's nerves like sandpaper.

Every flirtatious comment directed at Walker

Like she played with her hair

But her lip

Stared at him for to long

Became really touchy

You get it don't you

Charlie, sensing Aurora's discomfort, took it upon himself to intervene whenever Emily edged too close to Walker.

With a protective arm around his sister's shoulders, he steered her away from Emily's reach, a silent but unmistakable warning to keep her distance.

Leena, too, grew increasingly impatient with Emily's antics.

Her once-friendly demeanor had hardened into a steely resolve, her eyes flashing with thinly veiled hostility every time Emily attempted to engage with Walker.

As the tension mounted between them, Aurora felt a knot tightening in her stomach. She couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that gnawed at her insides, nor could she ignore the creeping doubt that wormed its way into her mind.

"Well, if it isn't Aurora," Emily said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I didn't expect to see you here."

Aurora met Emily's gaze with a steely one of her own. "And yet, here I am," she replied, her tone cool and composed.

Emily's smile faltered, replaced by a scowl. "You always seem to show up whenever Walker is around," she accused.

Aurora's jaw clenched at the thinly veiled accusation. "Maybe that's because we're dating," she shot back, her voice tight with frustration.

Emily's eyes narrowed at Aurora's words, a spark of anger igniting within her. "Dating, huh? More like clinging onto him for dear life," she teased

"Excuse me?" she snapped, her voice rising in indignation. "Walker and I have a strong relationship built on trust and respect. Something you clearly wouldn't understand."

Emily scoffed, rolling her eyes in disbelief. "Please Walker will come to his senses soon enough."

Aurora's fists clenched at her sides, her patience wearing thin. "You have no idea what you're talking about," she shot back, her voice trembling with anger. "Walker and I are happy together, and nothing you say can change that."

Emily's laughter rang out like a peal of bells, grating on Aurora's nerves. "We'll see about that," she replied, her voice cold and calculating. "Mark my words, Aurora. Your little fairytale romance won't last long."

" your such a bitch !" Aurora said but Emily was gone

Aurora and Walker found themselves locked in a silent battle, their unspoken frustrations simmering beneath the surface. With each passing moment, the gulf between them widened, until it felt as though they were standing on opposite ends of the universe.

Finally, unable to bear the weight of their unspoken grievances any longer, Aurora turned to Walker with a furrowed brow. "Can we talk?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper

" ya sure what's up?" He said totally clueless

Aurora's eyes brimmed with frustration as she stared at Walker, her voice trembling with suppressed emotion. "I just can't believe you don't see it, Walker," she exclaimed, her words echoing in the empty corner of the carnival.

Walker's brows knit together in confusion, his own frustration simmering beneath the surface. "See what, Aurora? What are you talking about?" he shot back, his tone tinged with exasperation.

Aurora shook her head, her hands curling into fists at her sides. "Emily! Can't you see how she looks at you? How she's always trying to insert herself into our relationship?" her voice rising with each word.

Walker's jaw tightened as he took a step back, his own frustration mounting with each passing moment. "You're being paranoid, Aurora. Emily's just a friend," he retorted, his tone sharp with irritation.

Aurora's eyes flashed with hurt as she stared at him, disbelief written across her features. "A friend? Really, Walker? Because friends don't flirt with each other's boyfriends," she shot back, her voice trembling with anger.

Walker's expression hardened as he met Aurora's gaze, his own frustration giving way to defensiveness. "Oh, and I suppose you've never had a guy friend before?" he countered, his tone laced with sarcasm." What about Landon he's just a friend isn't he ? Mason ? Miguel ?"

" Walker ! There is a huge difference you know the boys so well Mason has a girlfriend Miguel is such ugh !and Landon he's Landon you know that's Walker but Emily she's different okay she's flirting with you touching you a lot not in a friendly way I'm a girl I know when girls do this ! and I shouldn't have to compete with someone else for your attention!"

For a moment, silence hung heavy between them, the weight of their unspoken words filling the air with tension. Then, with a heavy sigh, Walker reached out to gently cup Aurora's cheek, his touch tender and remorseful.

"I'm sorry, Aurora. I didn't mean to upset you," he murmured, his voice soft with regret. "I'll talk to Emily, make sure she knows where the boundaries are."

But Aurora shook her head, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "It's not just about Emily, Walker. It's about us," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. "I need to know that you're committed to this relationship, that I'm not just another option for you."

Walker's heart clenched at her words, a surge of guilt washing over him as he realized the depth of Aurora's pain. "I am committed, Aurora. You're not just another option, you're everything to me," he vowed, his voice laced with sincerity.

Aurora looked into his eyes, she couldn't shake the nagging doubt that lingered in the back of her mind. " we'll talk later okay "

And it's that she turned away, her steps heavy with the weight of unresolved tension as she disappeared into the crowd, leaving Walker alone with his thoughts.

Aurora walked away, her shoulders slumped with the weight of unresolved tension, Charlie hurried to catch up with her. Placing a firm hand on her shoulder, he gave her a protective look. "Hey, rora are you okay?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Aurora managed a weak smile, but her eyes betrayed her inner turmoil. "I'll be fine, Charlie. Just need some air," she replied, her voice strained.

Charlie's protective instincts kicked in as he glanced back at the scene with narrowed eyes. "No, that's not okay. We're leaving," he declared, determination evident in his tone.

Leena, sensing the tension, approached them with furrowed brows. "What's going on?" she asked

" Emily Walker fight , I'm going to take her home is that okay "

" holy shit - ya no totally go ahead text me later about this I'll talk to Walker "

Leena's frustration simmered as she cornered Walker in the hallway, her eyes flashing with disappointment.

"What the hell, Walker?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with anger. "How could you let Emily behave like that towards Aurora?"

Walker ran a hand through his hair, feeling the weight of Leena's accusation. "I know, I messed up," he admitted, his voice heavy with remorse. "I should have shut it down, but I didn't want to cause a scene."

Leena shook her head, her frustration palpable. "You can't just let Aurora be treated like that," she scolded, her tone stern. "She deserves better, and you know it."

Walker sighed, feeling a pang of guilt gnaw at him. "I know, Leena. I'll make it right, I promise," he vowed, determination flickering in his eyes.

Leena studied her brother for a moment, her expression softening slightly. "You better," she warned, her voice softening. "Not to mention that Emily's been flirting with you I'm so stupid I haven't seen the signs but you should have walked !"

"I'll talk to her," he promised, his resolve firm. "Where  is she ?"

" oh your girlfriend left so let's just go home "

" fine  "
