Chapter two: This is home. For now.
A few days has passed since Mad-eye has found the girl, she was still shy and didn't speak but she learnt other ways to communicate with Mad-eye like writing and sign language. The girls horns still glowed softly, she was still hurt as they recently found out that the girls shoulder was dislocated and needed time to heal so she couldn't use her left arm for a few weeks. The girl's hair was still a dark blue and at a long length, down to her waist, she had to cut holes into her shirts and top halves of her dresses for her wings. It was early in the morning, around 8.A.M as the girl walks downstairs in a baggy shirt and some shorts, her wings was a dark blue, Mad-eye learnt that her wings change with the time of day, if her wings was an ombre of blues it was dawn, if her wings was a dark blue it was early in the morning or late at night and light blue the rest of the day. Mad-eye looked up from the daily prophet and nods in a greeting as the girl goes to the fridge and opens it. She grabs a bottle of water and closes the fridge door. Mad-eye's electric blue eye follows the girls every move.
The girl smiles at Mad-eye as she sits down opposite him and signs 'Hey, sleep well?' Mad-eye nods. The girl's smile softens as she takes a sip of water. Mad-eye looks at the girl, his electric blue eye swirled in it's socket as his dark grey eye stays looking at the daily prophet. The girl signs, asking 'You okay?' Mad-eye nods again. The girl nods as she signs 'Wanna do something today?' Mad-eye shrugs. The girl signs 'I'm taking that as a no.' Mad-eye looks up from the daily prophet and explains gruffly "Sorry, just there's been another death eater sighting and the ministry won't do shit about it" The girl listens as she signs 'So the ministry are being idiots again?' Mad-eye nods. The girl smiles a little and signs 'Why don't we go out today? We could go to the forest?' Mad-eye sighs and grumbles "You are too kind for your own good, fine, go get ready" The girl's smile widen as she goes upstairs to get ready. Mad-eye shakes his head fondly and stands up, his grip on his staff deadly tight as he goes to his room to get changed.
A few minutes pass as the girl was waiting at the front door in some jeans and a hoodie, bouncing on her heels a little, Mad-eye sighs as he asks "Are you always going to be this energetic whenever we go out?" The girl nods and smiles, her eyes looking into Mad-eye's. Mad-eye notices her hair was covering her left shoulder, he asks "Does your shoulder still hurt?" The girl shakes her head and signs 'No, my shoulder is fine, i just like my hair like this, it keeps it out of my face' Mad-eye nods a little as he grabs his wand and leads the girl out to the forest. The girl smiles as she looks around, she always loved nature and the world around her, especially after being held captive by death eaters for 9 months. Mad-eye leans against a tree as he watches the girl run around, his gruff exterior breaking slightly. He never felt this feeling for no one, he was always gruff and emotionless but something about this girl made him feel something he hasn't felt in a long time.
The girl smiles at Mad-eye as she walks over to him and signs 'Thank you' Mad-eye's head cocked slightly as he asks "Why?" The girl signs 'You saved me, i hated it in there, if you didn't find me in time i would've died' Mad-eye nods a little as he explains gruffly "I was just doing my job." He looks down at the girl and adds "You're a good one, never met someone like you before" The girl signs 'I mean its not everyday you meet a girl with horns and wings, is it?' Mad-eye nods as the girl runs off again, looking around at the scenery. Mad-eye has never seen anyone so energetic to go outside, but he doesn't blame her, he would be some what excited about going outside after being locked up in a cage for 9 months. But there was one question he was itching to ask but he didn't know how to ask it. He never learnt her name, he doesn't even known if she remembers it herself.
But he will help her remember, no matter the cost.
