just as fast as the plague came it left. after a few days, those who had contracted it had either succumbed to the disease or recovered. with so many having died so quickly, the majority will have been burned or dumped into unmarked mass graves. however, among the deaths were two elyrian royals and certainly that calls for something a little more special.

❚  IVAIRIS, ELYRIA.
after the deaths of two royals and many nobles the king and the religious council have decided to put together a funeral ceremony in which all bodies are to be burned with only the king's sister and youngest daughter being allowed a burial in the family crypt. though it's not even been a full day since the plague, the ceremony is set to be hosted at the royal sedei in the late hours of the morning. additionally, a fast has been put into place as a means of mourning but sadly the food during quarantine was nothing spectacular and plenty are dying for a good feast. however, the day is already unnaturally beautiful with clear skies, a subtle breeze, and a gentle warmth in the atmosphere to keep the cold away that seems to pervade the aura of grief. even so, this is not just a day for mourning. among an assortment of schemes, the king seeks to reap all the benefits of a slow day to build his cases against the people he wishes to see fall, and despite the great number of loss the empire is facing, there are two new additions to the royal palace—a new lady-in-waiting to serve the Queen after the death of Mei—and her brother, a guard.

welcome to the last (maybe) calm chapter of the roleplay! anyways, i figured it might be beneficial to have one last building chapter before we start killing a bunch of characters. however, there are several notable things i would like for you to know. firstly, school is in session or starting soon for most of us and i understand that activity will likely be sparser. regardless, replies do not have to be long and can take as little as fifteen minutes to write. now, i will also be changing the minimum reply rule for this specific chapter to three replies per week. the reason i'm doing this is because i intend to have a faster paced main chain in this chapter with its primary purpose being to allow everyone to get familiarized with some of the characters. you are obligated to send two replies to this chain per week though the overall reply rule is three minimum per week. as for how this main chain is to be conducted, i will delve into that in further detail in the comments. however, i will be putting an initial but vague reply order in place for the first portion of the main chain (just to get it started) and then i will be putting in place a way for people to know when to reply (such as after 3 other replies come in). the replies in the main chain should be short and should fit within one comment (ranging from half a comment to a full comment) though if you must go over then that's fine. still, writing half a comment to a full comment should take no longer than 30 minutes which is more than manageable. however, if something big comes up then you will be excused, otherwise there are no reasonable excuses. if you fail to meet the minimum requirements, you will be marked down and after you receive three marks i will kill a character of yours (rip if you only have one). anyways, i'm going to wrap this up soon. individual chains are very important but this main chain is the main point of this chapter because i've noticed many, for some reason, don't reach out and communicate well with others and therefore limit themselves to only a few interactions and relationships. hopefully this main chain will allow you to grow acquainted with more characters in a shorter reply format. in this main chain i expect your characters to initiate and engage with other characters they may not know yet. i know it'll help me get to know more characters and hopefully it does the same for you. lastly, i'm not going to lie but half of this is just me wanting to get stefan to clown and also meet a bunch of characters outside of his little inner circle. okay, that's all. if you read this, comment emma is a clown.
