chapter forty-nine;

━━━━━━ NO ONE COULD BELIEVE IT. the current number one hero was down and being stepped on by dabi.

all might watched from the screen as his fists clenched. he felt useless, as he couldn't contribute due to his condition.

"come on old man~ is this all you've got? I guess you could say I've successfully surpassed the number one hero", dabi mocked as he stepped harder onto the burnt wounds all over endeavor's body.

     though dabi had smoke emitting from his arms and legs, nothing mattered more in the moment than humiliating his father.

     "get those two", kisa quietly commanded, to which rappa and tengai had pinned bakugo and todoroki's arms behind their backs when their guards were down.

     "OI! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU BOTH DOING?! LET US GO!", bakugo shouted as he struggled against tengai's harsh grip.

     kisa chuckled as she clapped.

     "MIDORIYA-KUN~ COME OUT, COME OUT!! I'VE GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU~", kisa cooed into a megaphone as she promptly dropped it and held a gun to both bakugo and todoroki's temples.

     the two would've blasted their captors if it weren't for kisa holding them hostage.

     todoroki should've known better.

the dual-haired boy should've known that kisa was going to turn on them the moment endeavor was down. he was stupid for falling into the woman's trap.

aizawa hastily showed up with multiple other pro heroes, as they had heard the news of endeavor being taken down.

meanwhile the rest of midoriya's comrades were trying to take care of gigantomachia and the meta liberation army, the green-haired boy had arrived at the worst scene possible.

"k-KAACHAN! TODOROKI-KUN! LET THEM GO, KISA-SAN!"

"huh? but I thought kaachan was your childhood bully? what was it? poor deku doesn't have a quirk? no worries midoriya, I'll help you get revenge right now", kisa madly grinned as she shot a small bullet to bakugo's forehead.

     tengai then released the male as he only felt a little prick—and the fact that his forehead was bleeding a bit—but something was terribly off.

the blonde looked at his hands; he was sweating, but why was his quirk not working?

"oh dear kaachan!! seems like you lost your quirk. guess you can't become the number one hero anymore, huh?", kisa laughed, meanwhile midoriya knew exactly what being quirkless felt like.

"BAKUGO, STAND BACK UP AND FIGHT! YOU DON'T NEED A QUIRK TO—"

"SHUT UP ERASERHEAD! YOUR OPPONENT'S ME!", shigaraki demanded as even though aizawa could temporarily stop shigaraki's multiple quirks, the man's speed and strength was beyond aberrant.

     meanwhile chisaki was up against sir nighteye and tōgata mirio, inasa was slamming fatgum into the ground with his whale tail and on par with gang orca.

"and now for our lovely todoroki!! you never wanted to be daddy's tool huh? no problem!! I'll help you too", kisa grinned as she shot the boy twice due to his dual quirk.

todoroki dropped onto his knees as him and bakugo were now quirkless; they felt useless.

"STAND UP AND FIGHT! WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?!", aizawa screamed, as he was now pinned to the ground by shigaraki, his leg disintegrating as he refused to grunt and let the white-haired man have his satisfaction.

"I must say, I'm impressed with your ability to continue fighting even in this state. you're pretty cool, eraserhead", shigaraki whispered.

"well, now that this is done and over with, time for the real battle. come on midoriya; you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this", kisa smirked, pointing her gun at the green-haired boy as he swiftly dodged before the bullet could reach him.

     the boy was now fired up.

     no one, and he means no one, is to hurt his friends and live on without the consequences.

     but kisa didn't care.

     she didn't give a shit who she hurt as long as it wasn't kaoru, eri, or her husbands.

midoriya threw a punch with green sparks following as kisa merely chuckled.

     "oh my, without the opportunities given to you, I didn't realize you'd be so weak", kisa hummed, making midoriya confused as the half-demon quickly reappeared behind the boy, harshly smashing him into the ground as she brought out her special fan.

     "what...do you...."

     "I meant that without giving you the chance to fight against tomura, without giving you the chance to fight kai with eri's help, and without giving you the chance to battle against real villains, you are weak".

midoriya confusingly coughed out blood as he wondered what in the world the fox girl was talking about, as it was like she was predicting things that's never happened before.

"oh poor midoriya. can't use the black whip that shimura nana had passed down? did I change the events so drastically that you're now incapable of even fighting me one on one?", kisa teased.

something was definitely not right, because midoriya couldn't understand a thing the woman was rambling about.

dabi had encircled todoroki and bakugo in flames, as he could care less about his brother that he envied his entire life.

     midoriya let out a breathy gasp as he watched the pro heroes around him slowly get taken down one by one.

shigaraki at his 100% was truly terrifying.

not only were his friends being wounded by gigantomachia, he himself was currently beneath the foot of kisa herself.

the woman then held the edge of her fan against the green-haired boy's neck.

"if only you didn't receive all might's quirk and become such a huge threat", kisa mumbled, quickly slicing through the freckled boy's neck as his soul officially could never enter heaven or hell.

all the heroes' eyes widened as they watched all might's chosen one decease.

     midoriya izuku was dead.

     "YOU BITCH! HOW DARE YO—"

     dabi's flames only burned higher as he didn't even let bakugo finish his last words, making todoroki clench his fists with rage as he couldn't believe what his brother had just did.

shigaraki had nearly wiped out all the remaining heroes, making him proudly boast as inasa and chisaki just scoffed.

"TOUYA YOU—"

"nope nope, that's not my name anymore, dear brother", the scarred male grinned as he snapped his fingers and the flames had completely consumed todoroki.

kisa then manically giggled as rain had started pouring heavily, just like the amount of blood that had been shed these past few days.

     everything had finally fallen into place, and the woman was beyond elated.

     "well damn...can't believe we actually did it", dabi snorted, to which shigaraki had grinned meanwhile chisaki's goal had yet to be reached.

"I still need to kill all might though", shigaraki commented.

     "and I still need to cleanse the world of this disease", chisaki chimed in.

     "can we just all take a break and think about this tomorrow?", inasa asked, as the dark-haired man was extremely worn out.

     "kisa, what do you think?", the four men asked, to which the woman was now completely drenched like the rest.

     her back faced the four as she leisurely turned her head around, displaying a heart-rendering smile.

the dark-haired woman's body started dissipating into thin air, as her four husbands tried to stop her from turning into nothingness.

"I'm sorry", she mumbled, as a tear had unconsciously slipped down her cheek and dropped onto the bloodied ground.

not only had kisa disappeared, but all the demons around them had too.

it was as if this was an illusion all along, except the four knew that it was real, because the heroes were still dead and their blood was bumping like crazy.

"what the fuck...just happened...?"
