"Ei-Eijirou-"
"Come on Y/N, you can do it."
"Please, I can't-"
You groaned as you dug your nails into the wood of the shelf, gasping for breath. Kirishima was beneath you, his hands on your hips, trying to calm you and praising you quietly.
"You're doing fine, you can handle it." he hushed, "Let's keep going."
"S-stop, it's too much... I'm gonna-"
"I'm not stopping. You just need to relax."
Kirishima tightened his grip on your hips and tried to reassure you, whispering your name to help you calm down. You gritted your teeth and held back a cry, gasping out a weak plea for help.
"How can I relax!? I'm about to, ah-"
"Hold it." Kirishima said weakly, his breath hitching.
With one final push upwards, you grabbed the basket hiding in the farthest corner of the top shelf and yelped as Kirishima swiftly lowered you back onto the ground, panting from the strain of you standing on his shoulders.
"I'm so sorry Ejirou. I honestly don't know how to help you." you admitted, beginning to stuff your clean and dried clothes into the basket.
It was five in the morning and you and Kirishima had both snuck out of your rooms to meet in the washroom on the second floor.
"It's alright," the redhead smiled, "I'll get with Mina on my own. Besides, watching you and Bakugo flirt has been much more entertaining."
Your eyes widened.
"We don't flirt."
Kirishima shook his head knowingly, "Whatever you say."
You shifted your weight from one foot to another, lost in thought. You thought about the sickness in your stomach you felt because of Bakugo. The anxiety. The nausea. The feeling you had always brushed off as hatred.
"But there's just no way, right? Me? Liking him? That's... no." you trailed off, sounding unsure of yourself.
Kirishima patted your shoulder reassuringly.
"Hey, Jirou." you smiled, "I got your clothes from the washroom."
She ignored you, walking over to talk to Setsuna instead.
Were all your best friends mad at you for yesterday? This wasn't good. When you were having breakfast, Momo and Toru ignored you as well.
"Hey," you spoke, sitting down at the table they were sitting at.
"Guys, let's move," said Toru, and you felt your heart sink as the three of them stood up and walked away to find another table.
You felt like crying.
Since all your closest friends were ignoring you, you were resigned to spending the day with Bakusquad, trailing after Kirishima like some sort of lost puppy. Sero and Kaminari were friendly enough though, seeming very set on winning your affection.
"I could treat you so well, mi vida." Sero laughed jokingly, "Come on."
"Hey- don't try to brush me aside!" Kaminari said indignantly.
You found it funny that the blonde thought he had a chance; You were never gonna get with him because Jirou already liked him.
Sero slung his arm around your shoulder, smirking at Kaminari who gave him the middle finger. You were awkwardly walking in the middle of them, Kaminari on your right and you firmly attached to Sero on your left.
"Guys, come on, leave her alone." Kirishima immediately said, prizing you out of Sero's grip. He wasn't about to have all his hard work go to waste, especially after seeing Bakugo's narrowed eyes.
Gosh, he was so in denial.
"Why does Sero look like he would be a sex offender when he grows up?" Kaminari frowned thoughtfully.
Sero pouted, "That actually hurt my feelings."
"Oh my gosh," you laughed, "Anyways... are we almost there?"
"The tower is literally above us, what do you mean are we almost there?" Kaminari clowned you, making everyone laugh.
Mina dragged Bakugo to where you, Sero, Kaminari, and Kirishima were standing and smiled around at you all.
"Kiri," she began, and you already rolled your eyes, "Me and Katsu are going up the Eiffel, but Aizawa said it has to be four at a time. Come with?"
"That's three you idiot." you thought in your head, wishing you could say it out loud.
"Okay, but that's three, so Y/N can go with us too." Kirishima grinned, nudging you.
You glared back at him, thinking about what you had discussed earlier.
"Seriously?" Bakugo frowned, "Can't we have Tape instead?"
"Nice to know you're thinking of me, Bakugo." Sero smirked, blowing him a kiss.
The blonde made a disgusted face and rolled his eyes, "Whatever, I don't care."
"Okay," Mina said in disappointment, "Let's go then."
The four of you passed by the security at the bottom of the tower and got inside the lift that would be taking you all the way up the tower.
The journey would take three and a half minutes, so there were benches to sit on as you observed the city.
Mina was sitting extremely close to Bakugo, her arms draped around his neck like he was going to run away.
They sat on one side, opposing you and Kirishima. From time to time, the blonde would cast a glance at you when he was sure no one was looking.
Katsuki was feeling nauseous; His head hurt just looking at you. He hated that, despite what over-analyzing perverts like Kaminari and Mineta had to say, he thought you were absolutely gorgeous. It made him physically sick.
How had he not noticed this before?
Not to mention what you were wearing. Bakugo could see every single curve of your body, and found himself wanting to know how they would feel under his hands.
"It looks so pretty from up here." you spoke up, referring to the city as you looked down at the bustling streets.
"What happened to your fear of heights?" Bakugo taunted, wanting to get rid of the uneasy feeling in his stomach.
"I'm not scared of heights." you lied.
He sneered, "Get a load of this guy."
"Fuck you!"
"Would you?"
Your jaw dropped. Bakugo's response was swift and obviously hadn't been thought over.
Kirishima locked eyes with him and raised an eyebrow, smirking. The blonde rolled his eyes and scowled, turning his head sideways to avoid staring straight ahead.
The rest of the trip down was silent and awkward, the quiet occasionally broken by Bakugo pushing Mina off of him and Mina's small sniffles.
Subsequently, when you got off and regrouped with Sero and Kaminari, Bakugo was unusually quiet.
When the teachers took you all back to the hotel, you were instructed to pack your things back in your suitcases and go down to the food hall for dinner before your night flight home.
Jirou ignored you, Pony and Shiozaki were in their own little worlds, and Setsuna was busy on the phone telling her older sister about what happened. Soon, almost everyone was downstairs eating, but you couldn't be asked going. Knowing your friends wouldn't let you sit with them put you in a sour mood.
Meanwhile, down at the cafeteria, the Bakusquad were enjoying their dinner. All except Bakugo.
"Kacchan, are you okay?" Kaminari piped up when he noticed the ash-blonde playing with his rice absent-mindedly.
"You can have my food. I'm not hungry." Bakugo said with an unreadable expression.
He stood up and they all watched him leave in confusion; Mina looked down, visibly upset.
"What's up with him?" Sero raised an eyebrow.
"I'll go talk to him," Kirishima replied, "He's probably just going through one of his mood swings again."
The redhead downed the remainder of his drink before pursuing the tall teenager.
When Kirishima reached the hotel room he shared with Bakugo, Kaminari, Sen Kaibara, and TetsuTetsu, his eyes widened.
It was all wrecked: Suitcases strewn all over, items of clothing scattered on the floor, and bunkbeds covered in black ash. Those were definitely explosion remains.
"What the hell, man!?" Kirishima panicked.
"Leave me alone, Shitty Hair."
"If this is about Y/N, then valid crash out, but if it's not-"
"I hate her!" Bakugo interrupted heatedly.
"Hate her?" Kirishima said incredulously, "More like wanna date her!"
"Shut up."
The two stood in silence, daring each other to say something.
"It's okay to like someone, you know." Kirishima finally gave in as he spoke up.
Bakugo gritted his teeth.
"I knew I'd feel something for someone eventually, but it can't be her !"
"Why not?"
"She gets on my fucking nerves."
Kirishima grinned slyly, "Oh, you love her. People who get on your nerves are your favourite kind of people."
Bakugo smiled.
"They must be, since I keep you around."
