— Stephanie Palmer-Denbrough is one of the most renowned actresses of the late twentieth century. Having gained her fame in 1976, she quickly rose from just being in television shows and films to being an A-list superstar, particularly in the romance and horror genres. She is living a life of success and happiness alongside her long-time husband, William Denbrough, and she often finds herself in peaceful scenarios that keep her at ease.

The year is 1990, and Stephanie is currently in England with Bill as they're working on a film based on his first original screenplay. Steph is already a few weeks into shooting said film that she's starring in, and she finds the city they're in to be a beautiful and quiet place, especially in the faraway home they have rented for the scheduled amount of time.

But, one night, when Steph and Bill each get phone calls from forgotten friends of theirs that they grew up with, they have to suddenly abandon everything they had been working up to in order to travel back to their hometown of Derry, Maine. Scared and dreading what may come, the married couple have to take a journey down Memory Lane in order to survive the trauma that has come back to plague their minds once again.

And they also have to survive a shapeshifting creature that takes the form of the clown, they forgot to bring that up.
