[06] Prove your love
Abhir's eyes never left Kiara's retreating back as he slowly stood up, his movements deliberate and determined. He couldn't let her go, not like this. He needed to make her understand, to make her see that he was genuinely sorry for his past mistakes.
With a newfound sense of purpose, Abhir strode after Kiara, his long legs eating up the distance between them. He could see the tension in her shoulders, the stiffness in her spine, and he knew that he had to tread carefully.
As he reached out to gently grasp her arm, Kiara spun around, her eyes flashing with anger and warning. But Abhir didn't back down. Instead, he looked deep into her eyes, his own burning with a fierce intensity.
"Kiara, please," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Just hear me out. I know I hurt you, and I'm so sorry for that. But I've changed. I've realized what I lost, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it right."Kiara's eyes narrowed, her expression skeptical. "What makes you think I'll even listen to you?" she spat, her voice venomous.
Abhir took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling with the effort. "Because, Kiara, I know that there's still something between us. Something that goes beyond words, beyond apologies. Something that can't be broken, no matter how hard we try."
"There is nothing between us," Kiara said, her voice firm and resolute, but her eyes betraying a hint of uncertainty. She looked away, her gaze drifting off into the distance as if searching for reassurance. "We're just two people who shared a past, a past that's better left forgotten."
Abhir's eyes never left Kiara's face, his gaze burning with an intensity that made her skin prickle. He took a step closer, his movements deliberate and calculated. "Don't say that, Kiara," he said, his voice low and husky. "Don't say that we're just two people with a shared past. We're more than that. We're two people who shared a connection, a connection that went deeper than words, deeper than memories."
Kiara's eyes flashed back to Abhir's, her expression a mixture of anger and desperation. "You're just saying that because you want to ease your own guilt," she spat, her voice venomous. "You're just saying that because you want to make yourself feel better about what you did to me."
Abhir's face twisted in a mixture of pain and regret, but he didn't back down. Instead, he took another step closer, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity. "I'm saying it because it's the truth," he said, his voice firm and resolute. "I'm saying it because I know that we had something real, something special. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it right, to make us right."
Kiara's eyes widened as Abhir moved closer, his face inches from hers. She could feel the warmth of his breath on her skin, and her heart began to pound in her chest. She tried to step back, but her feet seemed rooted to the spot.
"Tell me, Kiara," Abhir whispered, his voice husky and seductive. "Don't you feel anything when I come closer to you? Don't you feel that spark, that connection that we used to share?"
Kiara's lips parted, and she felt a rush of air escape from her lungs. She tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat. Abhir's eyes seemed to bore into hers, searching for the truth. "No," she lied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't feel anything."
Abhir's gaze lingered on hers, and for a moment, Kiara thought she saw a flicker of doubt in his eyes. But then, his expression changed, and he smiled, a slow, sensual smile that made Kiara's heart skip a beat.
"Don't you feel anything when I touch you?" Abhir whispered, his breath sending shivers down Kiara's spine as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.Kiara's heart skipped a beat as she felt the warmth of his body, the gentle pressure of his arms, and the soft whisper of his breath against her skin. She tried to push him away, to deny the sensations that threatened to overwhelm her, but her body seemed to have a mind of its own.
His touch ignited a spark within her, a spark that had been smoldering for so long. It was a feeling she couldn't ignore, a feeling that made her question everything she thought she knew about herself and her feelings for Abhir. As she stood there, encircled in his arms, Kiara felt her defenses crumbling, felt herself being drawn back into the vortex of her emotions. She knew she should push him away, knew she should resist the pull of his touch, but she couldn't. She was trapped, caught in the undertow of her own desires.
Kiara's eyes fluttered closed as Abhir's nose nudged the sensitive skin of her neck. She felt a shiver run down her spine, and her breath caught in her throat. The gentle touch sent waves of sensation through her body, and she couldn't help but lean into him, her head tilting slightly to the side.
Abhir's arms tightened around her, holding her close as he continued to nuzzle her neck. His warm breath danced across her skin, sending goosebumps down her arms. Kiara's heart pounded in her chest, and she felt herself getting lost in the sensation of his touch.
For a moment, she forgot about the past, forgot about the pain and the heartache. All she could think about was the way Abhir's touch made her feel - alive, wanted, and desired. She felt like she was melting into him, like their bodies were becoming one.
"Babydoll," Abhir whispered, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down Kiara's spine. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her heart skipped a beat as Abhir's warm breath caressed her ear. The sound of his voice, the feel of his arms around her, it all felt so familiar, so comforting. Kiara's eyes drifted closed, and she felt herself leaning into him, her body swaying towards his like a flower towards the sun.
She tried to push him away, to break the spell that had been cast over her, but Abhir's arms only tightened around her. "Don't," he whispered, his breath dancing across her ear. "Don't push me away, Kiara. Not now, not when I've just found you again."
Kiara's heart was racing, and she felt like she was drowning in the depths of Abhir's eyes. She knew she should be strong, should resist the pull of his touch and the familiarity of his endearment. But as she looked up at him, she felt her resolve weakening, felt herself being drawn back into the vortex of their past.
Kiara's voice trembled as she asked the question, her eyes searching Abhir's face for answers. "Why are you back in my life, Abhir? You didn't want me before, so why now?"
Abhir's fingers paused on the corner of her lips, and he looked into her eyes, his gaze burning with intensity. "I was blind, Kiara," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I was blind to what we had, to what you meant to me. But I see now. I see that I made a mistake, a mistake that cost me the one person who ever truly mattered to me."
As he spoke, Abhir's fingers resumed their gentle caress, tracing the curve of Kiara's lips, sending shivers down her spine. Kiara's eyes fluttered closed, and she felt herself leaning into his touch, her body responding to the familiar sensation.
Abhir's voice was low and husky as he whispered, "I know you want me too, just like I want you." His words sent a shiver down Kiara's spine, and she felt her heart racing in anticipation.
As he leaned in closer, Kiara's lips parted slightly, inviting him in. Abhir's lips brushed against hers, sending sparks flying through her entire body. The kiss was gentle, yet electrifying, and Kiara felt herself melting into his touch.
Abhir's lips moved slowly, savoring the taste of her mouth. Kiara's hands instinctively rose to his chest, her fingers digging into his shirt as she deepened the kiss. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the intensity of their desire.
As they kissed, Kiara felt the walls she had built around herself begin to crumble. She felt the familiar flutter in her chest, the same flutter she had felt when they were together before. It was a feeling she thought she'd never experience again, but here it was, alive and well, and it scared her to death.
The memory of Abhir's words slammed into Kiara like a ton of bricks, shattering the fragile spell that had been woven around her. She felt like she'd been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her.
"I don't love Kiara, I love Charu," Abhir had said, his words echoing in her mind like a cruel mantra. Kiara's eyes snapped open, and she pushed Abhir away, her hands trembling with anger and hurt.
"You're married," she spat, her voice venomous. "You're someone else's husband. How could you do this to me, Abhir? How could you kiss me, touch me, when you're supposed to love someone else?"
Abhir's eyes locked onto Kiara's, his grip on her hand tightening as he revealed the truth. "I'm not married, Kiara," he said, his voice low and husky. "Charu never showed up to the wedding. She ran away, leaving me standing alone at the altar."
Kiara's laughter was like a cold breeze on a winter night, sending shivers down Abhir's spine. She chuckled again, the sound dripping with sarcasm and hurt. "So you came to me?" she spat, her voice laced with venom. "Charu nahi toh uski behen hi sahi!" (If not Charu, then her sister will do!)
The words cut through Abhir like a knife, and he felt a pang of shame and regret. He knew he had hurt Kiara, and he didn't blame her for her anger. He had thought that Kiara would be happy to see him, that she would forgive him and take him back. But now, he realized that he had been blind to her feelings, blind to the hurt he had caused.
Abhir's words poured out like a confession, his voice filled with emotion. "I never loved Charu, Kiara. I always loved you, just you. Charu was just an infatuation, a mistake. I thought I loved her, I convinced myself that I did, but it was all a lie. It was you, Kiara, it's always been you. My heart beats for you, my soul belongs to you. I was blind to my own feelings, but now I see the truth. I love you, Kiara, only you."
Kiara's eyes flashed with challenge as she gazed at Abhir, her voice dripping with skepticism. "You love me, right?! Then prove it, Abhir Birla. Prove your love. Show me that you're willing to do whatever it takes to be with me."
Abhir's eyes blazed with determination as he gazed at Kiara, his jaw clenched in resolve. "I'll do anything, Kiara," he vowed, his voice low and husky. "I'll prove my love to you, no matter what it takes. I'll give up everything, my wealth, my family, my pride... everything. Just tell me what you want me to do, and I'll do it."
Abhir took a step closer to Kiara, his eyes burning with intensity. "I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, Kiara. I'll show you that my love is true, that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be with you. I'll prove to you that I'm not just a selfish, arrogant billionaire who only cares about himself. I'll show you that I'm capable of real love, of real sacrifice."
.................
Kiara's mind was a jumble of conflicting emotions as she gazed into Abhir's eyes. She couldn't understand why her body seemed to betray her, why her heart raced and her skin tingled when he was near. She should hate him, she thought. She should be angry and resentful, not... not drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
But as she looked into his eyes, Kiara felt herself melting into his gaze. It was as if she was drowning in the depths of his irises, unable to look away or break free. She felt a flutter in her chest, a sensation that was both exhilarating and terrifying.
She should hate Abhir, shouldn't she? He was the one who had hurt her, who had broken her trust and shattered her heart. But as she looked into his eyes, she felt herself melting into their depths, like ice succumbing to the warmth of a summer sun.
It was as if her body had a mind of its own, refusing to listen to her rational thoughts and instead responding to some primal, instinctual call. Kiara felt like she was drowning in Abhir's gaze, unable to look away, unable to breathe.
Why was she reacting this way? Why did her body seem to crave Abhir's presence, even as her mind recoiled from the pain he had caused her? Kiara didn't have the answers, but she knew one thing for sure: she was in trouble.
As the realization dawned on her, Kiara felt a wave of panic wash over her. What was she going to do? How was she going to resist Abhir's charms when her own body seemed to be working against her? She knew she couldn't trust him, knew that he had hurt her before. But as she looked into his eyes, Kiara felt herself wondering if maybe, just maybe, Abhir was telling the truth. Maybe he did love her, maybe he did want to make things right between them.
Kiara's eyes snapped back into focus, and she felt a surge of determination course through her veins. She couldn't let herself fall weak in front of Abhir, not now, not when she had finally found the strength to stand up for herself. She took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, her gaze locking onto Abhir's with a newfound sense of resolve.
"I don't know what you want from me, Abhir," she said, her voice firm and steady. "But I'm not the same girl you knew before. I'm stronger now, and I won't let you hurt me again." Abhir's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze piercing as he searched for any sign of weakness. But Kiara stood tall, her expression unyielding, and he couldn't help but feel a spark of admiration for her strength.
