Mami smirked seeing the confused looks on their faces.

“Your mother is not the innocent creature everyone thinks she is. “ Mami smirked staring at Arnav who glared at her. “Her obsession with Arvind Malik ruined all of us and I jubilated the day I found out she was dead...... She caused me so much pain and am happy she is dead. “ Mami screamed happily and laughed hysterically as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Arnav and Akash realised she was going insane.

"She wanted Arvind so bad that she intentionally got pregnant but God not wanting her to be happy made her miscarry when Arvind was on a business trip........ It's because of her that Anant lie to me and took our baby away."

Mami cried and both men knew she wasn't in her elements but decided to take advantage of it to know the whole truth and finally solve the pieces of the puzzle left.

"Maa how did you get involve with Anant Malik and why didn't Anjali's DNA test match with bhai. " Akash asked and Mami stopped crying and wiped her tears with her palm.

"You know that Raizada haveli wasn't the only place I worked at. " Akash nodded as Arnav put on a poker face staring straight at Mami whose attention was all on Akash. "I worked in Sheesh Mahal too and that's where I met the love of my life Anant Malik........ We had to hide our relationship because of Sudhadra Malik......... One day Anant got drunk and revealed he wasn't the real son of Suresh Malik and that he was the product of Sudhadra Malik affair with the gardener who Sudhadra Malik had murdered to cover up their affair but Suresh Malik found out and changed his will leaving everything to Arvind Malik "

Arnav and Akash realised that's the reason why they held no relations.

Arvind Malik's biologically mother died at childbirth and Suresh married Subhadra Malik two months later to take care of Arvind.

"I am sure your grandfather's heart attack that led to his death was all Sudhadra Malik's doing and Anant believes it too. " Mami stared at Arnav who glared at her and she gulped and continued.

"Anyways I got pregnant the same time as Ratna who treated me like garbage all because she was from a high class family....... I told Anant and wanted him to marry me but he refused and wanted to get an abortion after insulting me and telling me I was just his bed warmer and he didn't love me........ I was broken hearted and decided to get the abortion but a few days later, Anant and Sudhadra Malik showed up at my house and begged me to keep the baby...... " Mami cursed as she slammed her fist on the table looking furious but within a few seconds, Mami face changed into a sad expression and her eyes shimmered . "It was all a lie because Anant, Ratna and Sudhadra Malik threatened to kill me if I don't leave town........ I was scared and run away........ For the next five years I watched my beautiful princess grow far away from me but I was happy seeing her loved by everyone even with her limp....... It was even I found out Ratna was pregnant with you that fear of you replacing my Anjali and her being shunned forced me to do one thing I had to do to protect her. "

"Maa what did you do? " Akash asked calmly seeing his mother go silent all of a sudden.

"I knew I had to be closer to my princess so I seduced Manohar and to cement my status as his wife, I drugged and raped him resulting in your birth. "

Akash was shaken up hearing his birth was the result of rape.

He was contented knowing he was used to trap his father but being a rape child was too much for him to handle.

He wanted to run out of there but composed himself as he knew they won't have another opportunity to get the truth out of Mami if they leave.

Arnav saw this, held his hand and squeezed it and this calm him down knowing his bhai will always be there for him.

"It worked and I did everything to get closer to Anjali as her uncle's wife........ I knew Ratna and her accomplices didn't like this especially when I was already pregnant with Akash before they found out but this time I held my ground and threatened to expose them if they don't leave me alone and let me bond with Anjali. "

"I guess us always going to Sheesh Mahal during my vacations even against the wishes of Dadi was all your plan to bond with Anjali? "

Mami nodded smiling like an idiot and it broke Akash's heart hearing how far his mother went for Anjali but never even loved him once.

"Now you know why I will always love Anjali and chose her over all of you....... She is my daughter and the symbol of I and Anant's love. " Mami laughed hysterically and Arnav threw a disgusted look at her.

"Anant never loved you and neither did he love Anjali. " This made Mami stop laughing and she glared at Arnav with murder on her mind . "He kicked Anjali out in other to usurp wealth that never belonged to him. " Mami shook her head and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Shut up...... Just shut up. " Mami screamed, crying hysterically.

She the charged to attack Arnav but Akash held her.

He caged her from behind as Mami struggled to break free but she was no match for Akash's strength.

"It's the truth Maa....... He never loved her and Anant never loved you because he not only kick Anjali out but also snatched her from you....... He chose money and his family over you....... You mean nothing to Anant Malik....... He never loved you then and he will never love you know...... The only man who ever loved you was Papa but you ruined that........ You don't deserve him and neither do you deserve us....... Anjali will be joining you soon and you can finally be together like you always wanted. "

Mami stopped struggling and Akash let her go expecting her to be remorseful but he was disappointed when he saw Mami smiling at him.

"Anjali is finally going to be with me...... My princess is coming. "

Mami chanted in a daze and she swirled around the visitors room laughing and cheering.

Arnav saw the hurt in Akash's eyes and knew it was time for them to leave.

They have finally solved the missing pieces of the puzzle.

He signaled the guards to take Mami away and dragged Akash out of the jail and into his car.

"The guilt I felt for framing her is now gone....... I want her out of our lives and I will do anything to make sure she never taste freedom ever again. " Akash exclaimed in a determined tone and Arnav nodded as he drove out of the jail premises towards his farmhouse.

On their way, they watched Aman's press conference revealing the truth about Anjali and Mami to the world.

He was happy seeing the positive response from the media and netizens but he knew they were going to have to reveal the truth soon bit he was positive it will end well for them.

Nani and the rest of the family watched the news of Anjali murdering Shyam and her arrest on the television.

Luckily for them, Aman had managed to paint the family in a good light and people were praising them for not covering up Anjali and Mami's crimes.

Everyone was stunned when Aman made a brief press conference explaining what happened with Anjali and Mami and there were outpour of support for them instead of the uproar against them.

People were demanding the full force of the law to be given the Anjali and Mami and support was directed towards Akash, Arnav and Manohar on all forms of social media.

"So the four of you won't tell us what you are hiding? " Nani asked as she knew there was more to what they knew because they were shocked finding out about the hidden cameras in Anjali and Shyam's room and how their phones had been bugged.

"Nani, Arnav and Akash will be here soon and will reveal everything to you. " Khushi responded and Nani sighed.

A few minutes later, Akash and Arnav arrived and Nani immediately called for some refreshments for them.

HP and his brother immediately brought them and stared at their bosses who looked tired and drained.

"Nani, Mama, I know you want to know why I had the room of Anjali and their phones bugged."

Nani and Manohar nodded impatiently waiting for the truth or knowing it was worst than they thought.

"We suspected Anjali was up to no good and everything in the videos and audios you saw and heard was true...... Not only that, we discovered a shocking secret that explains why Mami always loved and supported Anjali whilst neglecting us especially Akash. "

Akash pushed the brown envelope towards Manohar who frown but the frown turned to shock when he read the content of the envelope.

His head snapped back at Arnav and Akash and his eyes started shimmering with unshed tears.

Nani looked confused and snatched the papers from Manohar and her eyes widened in shock and her head snapped back at her grandsons.

"Yes Nani, Anjali is the daughter of Mami  and someone we all know. " Arnav exclaimed and closed his eyes unable to meet the devastated state of his uncle.

Akash seeing this placed his phone down and the audio of Mami's confession played sending shock waves through them.

Manohar stood up and kneeled in front of Nani whose eyes was shimmering with unshed tears but they betrayed her as she saw her son crying like a child.

"Am so sorry maa...... I should have listened to you...... I should have listened to you. " Manohar cried out placing his head on his mother's lap crying profusely.

Nani laid her head on her son and cuddled him as they both cried.

Tears streamed down everyone's cheeks seeing mother consoling her son even though she was also broken.

Meanwhile at Delhi Police station, Anjali was pacing back and forth panicking knowing at any moment, she will be shipped to prison as her bail has been denied.

She knew Arnav was behind it and once Arnav is behind something, it won't eand well especially if he is out for blood.

The jingling of keys snapped her out of her reverie and she turned to find the police women who taunted her earlier smirking at her.

She shook her head as the unlocked her cell.

She limped and pushed them out and held on to the bars barring them from entering.

This pissed them off and on unlocked her gun from her holster and pointed it at Anjali who gasped in shock.

"Move brat. " She yelled at Anjali who flinched and stumbled backwards and fell on the floor.

They burst out laughing as they entered and dragged Anjali out.

"Smile for the camera. " The police woman whispered confusing Anjali until she finally realised what she was talking.

Immediately they exited the police station, the media swarm over them snapping pictures and and asking questions.

Apart from the media, some people were chanting for her to be hanged for betraying her brother and family and also murdering her husband because of greed.

Anjali was confused as to wait they were talking about as she was pushed into the van.

One of the police woman pulled out her phone and played the video of Aman's press conference where he exposed Anjali and Shyam's deeds including her affair which she cleverly hid from the family.

"I hate you Arnav...... You will pay for this. " Anjali screamed shaking in anger bit it was short lived when the police woman slapped her.
