𝑺𝒐 I don't really know what I'm doing here but I guess I should just try and rant about weird things? Okay.

Personally, I still think I'm relatively new to the roleplay community here on Wattpad, only joining it since a year ago, and man has it been a wild ride. I don't know why, but I really feel like it's so different from what I initially expected.

But now that I've officially been in it for a year, I wanted to write down a few things that make me tick when I'm in a roleplay -- you know, kind of like my little pet peeves ( please don't get annoyed by this xD my personal pet peeves aren't always bad! They just make my selective brain go wOoSh ) when roleplaying! Don't worry if you think that you've done any of these before -- nobody's perfect, and neither am I, so what can I actually say about this?

Anyway, onto the pet peeves :D

I. GRAMMAR & PUNCTUATION

Proper grammar has always been a really big pet peeve of mine. I don't mind the occasional typos but. . . if all of your words are jumbled up together, I don't think I can understand that :/

Punctuation can tick me off. Like, for example, your character's speaking so you'd put in some quotes (""), right? But some people don't use quotes, and sometimes they don't even use anything which confuses me. When is your OC speaking? I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Like, for example:

lily sighed i hate this so much she said as tears ran down her face.

Or even:

idk what ur talking about btch evie yelled while slapping her face hard.

Text talk is also a very big red flag -- please, if you're out here making sentences, you can write down the things that aren't abbreviated, thank you very much.

Also, things like no capitalisation don't bother me, but when you're typing with all caps I've got to wait a minute and stare at my phone because it feels pretty aggressive. Something that's another a big no for me is when people don't utilise a full stop/period (.) Please, it's not that hard :<

II. LENGTH

Alright, here's where I can get very picky. Though I usually don't mind short replies, replies that are too short? Please. Please don't torture me with those. I'm sorry, but if your replies are only around 2-3 sentences long and not even good to read, I'll have to pass. I'd like to give everyone the same amount of detail I can get, and if you don't provide me with a good reply?

I'm sorry, but I feel that my efforts might as well be wasted. I want to try and give you the best reply I can, okay? But what am I supposed to write about when you respond with something like this:

bellona giggled and smiled at castiel. "I like you a lot." She said.

Please, I want to be semi-literate for once, okay? :p First of all, all you described to me was the fact that your character smiled and giggled. That's it? Nothing else? Personally, I'd like to keep my replies quite long and very much readable, thank you very much, and if you're going to give me those kinds of replies, I apologise deeply but perhaps we shouldn't roleplay together.

III. CHARACTERS

Even I have my limits in dealing with characters. I don't mind being the male, you know? I've fallen in love with my two male OCs that I frequently use now ( yes, they just so happen to be azzy and val, don't @ me >:T ) and I absolutely adore being both of them, to the point that I even go out of my way to avoid playing a female character now :/

Now, though I have no qualms with being the male, that doesn't mean that I want to be the person that always starts off a relationship. Break the stereotypes T^T Please, I'd appreciate it if a girl decides to confess to my guy or say something to him first -- I don't want it to always be me who does the confessing and lovey-dovey stuff, kay?

Why is this? Well, because, as much as I love giving love to other people's OCs, I'd appreciate it if my OC ( whether it be azzy or val-- ) can get some love too, please. Also, I'm a pretty selective person -- I don't just hand over my OCs as love interests or something like that. They mean a lot to me. I can't do them dirty like that. I won't let them date a Mary Sue or something because I'm that kind of overprotective mother >:0

The character you are playing is a human being as well ( unless they're alien -- if so, I sincerely apologise - ) as you are, meaning that they're not perfect, no matter how perfect they look. They have weaknesses, and those weaknesses are the things that make them special. I dislike people who think that writing down "too kind" as their character's only weakness. I can get how it's fatal, of course, but I'd prefer more than one weakness.

Not only that, but I'd like to see that little rivalry in a relationship, you know? The one where they both butt heads against each other yet no one really loses since they're both sharp-tongued -- man, I love seeing those relationships. They don't always have to be sweet, and they don't always have to end up together :D

IV. RELATIONSHIPS

Here's where I start to get really picky. I dislike having characters with pre-made relationships ( if they're dating, for example ) because 1. I probably don't know your character enough to know what type of relationship they have with my OC; 2. I don't see the chemistry between the two.

It makes me uncomfortable to put my character in a situation where they have to give affection to a stranger they don't actually know since I don't know the character, if that makes sense. I'd love to see one of those romances that just happen by time, not really pushed or anything because it feels natural and the characters have that chemistry together so they're really cute and adorable to watch :D

So when I see a thirsty girl ( yes, it's usually a girl-- ) try and get some of that (*censored*), I just. . . give up. I don't really have the heart to say no to people and I'm a pretty big pushover so I usually let it happen but. . . it does get a bit annoying from time to time, especially if the character only wants to do pretty s*xual things, which make me really, really uncomfortable.

V. PLOT GOES HAYWIRE

Alright, this one I just-- no. I had been in a Selection RP where it was going fine, I guess, but then suddenly the princess has a sleeping curse and we have to wake her up with a kiss? I'm sorry, my poor Castiel has only spent a total of ONE date with her, and you do this to me? No. Just no.

It's the kissing part that bothers me, not the sleeping curse. I get that you'd want a twist, but do it later on in the plotline so our OCs actually have a chance to interact and talk to yours, not just wrap it up after literally 2 chapters. Love doesn't work that way, honey, so please no.

It makes absolutely no sense and I have no consent on the matter, which is something that's a big turn-off for me ( why am I talking about these like k*nks? ) regarding anything about my characters. I will yeet Castiel out of there, thank you very much.

VI. CONSENT

I like my OCs being in relationships -- it makes me feel like an accomplished mother, not going to lie. However, force me to do something and comply to your word without any consultation and you're instantly going to be shoved down my list of roleplayers I enjoy roleplaying with ( not that I have one but you get what I mean-- ).

Honestly, why would your OC tickle my OC suddenly on their first date? Please. Please no. It just makes both me and my OC uncomfortable. Please don't force me into relationships and certainly do not try and make me do anything I specifically say I am not comfortable with at the time :<

VII. TRIGGERS

Look, I appreciate the fact that you're trying to make your character different, but mental health issues are not the way. D*pr*ssion is not something that you toy with. Eating d*sorders aren't cool. Seriously, respect that people might have specific triggers. Don't throw sensitive topics like r*pe around with nonchalance, for even the smallest of words can destroy.

Anyway, now that's done :D I'll probably add to this list later on as time progresses and considering no one actually reads this ( XD ), I'll just keep on typing random stuff to fill this book because yay spam :)
