OFFICIAL WISH LINEUP REVEALED BY WL ENTERTAINMENT!

Last week, three members of the new girl group WISH were revealed to the public, and this week four more members have been unveiled. Based on all photos released of WISH, they appear to be a seven member group. WonderLand has yet to confirm or deny this statement.

When we reached out to Bae, the most prominent member on social media, she said:

wow, i'm so excited to be in this group! everyone has doubted me up until this point, i'm so happy to work with everyone, especially our manager, mina sunbae! she's super nice and kind... everyone in wish is such a joy to work with! we all have our personal struggles, but together we're sure to succeed!

WonderLand Entertainment was not available for questioning, most likely busy training the girls for their official debut, the date of which has yet to be revealed. Fans have speculated that their debut will be late October, more specifically October 28th. For now, though, they will just have to keep guessing, as it will probably be a while until WL reveals the exact date.

As of September 3rd, the last 4 members have been revealed of WISH. A few surprise members were included, as well as some fairly well-known trainees.

One notable addition to WISH is Hazel (Ahn Haerim), yet another foreigner to be included in the group. Hazel grew up in San Francisco, California for the first 8 years of her life, after which she moved to South Korea to train under WL Entertainment.

Fans have speculated that she would debut with WISH, as she has been training for nearly 11 years now. Hazel has been rumored to debut with many other groups up until now, and we're happy she's finally getting her debut!

hi everyone! i'm so excited to debut with wish and get to work with mina sunbae! it's all very exciting and stressful, but i hope you guys will support our group! oh, um... sorry, i think i just ate a piece of my hair... haha it's fine! hey, don't laugh at me! sorry, those were my other members from behind the camera...

Fans were naturally very excited for Hazel to debut, but they worried that WL was putting her (an experienced trainee) into a rookie group and she would be too experienced for the other members. Hazel replied:

oh, everyone in my group is so talented and i'm definitely not more experienced than them in any way! i know for a fact that even though i've been training for a long time, i still have a long way to go! my other members and i will all be a part of this journey, and we're all going to rely on each other every step of the way! please watch out for our debut!

Many fans were definitely excited about Hazel's inclusion in the group, as she has spent one of the longest training periods at WL for the last ten years. One fan commented:

i'm so happy for you hazel! we've been here since the beginning, we're going to be your biggest fans! fighting~

Revealed alongside Hazel was Lee Hyeon (known by stage name Honnie), a trainee of 3½ years. Honnie is set to be the vocalist and main dancer of the group. She stayed relatively under the radar during her time as a trainee, so it's been hard to find footage of her, but she has done a few dance covers over the past 3 years. She just released a vlive of her reaction to being revealed, and it's super sweet! Watch a clip below:

oh my gosh! you have to tell me when you're filming... what if i'm doing something embarrassing? like picking my nose? not that i pick my nose, of course... wait - they announced it?! you guys, i'm going to be in wish! you do not know how hard it has been to keep this quiet haha! looking forward to working with you, [CONTENTS REDACTED]!

The person filming laughed and informed her that the member she mentioned had not been revealed yet. Naturally, the comment section was overjoyed with her cute response:

ahhh! sorry, i'm so forgetful! it's hard being the unnie in the group when you have the mind of a maknae... oh wait, am i allowed to say that? oh no! i'm really sorry, all of this is just going to be bleeped out! anyways, please take care of me~ haha, i'm super excited for our debut!

Although Honnie has kept out of the spotlight during her time as a trainee, she seems destined for fame with her adorable and youthful personality and excitable nature.

Only a few hours later, the last two members were revealed, both of them being foreign. It seems that WISH is going to be a very international group, as only 3 of the 7 members are full Korean.

Of the last two members to be revealed, one was Xiao (Lin Hachi), a relatively new trainee set to be one of the vocalists of the group. She certainly has a unique singing voice! Some clips of Xiao's audition for WL Entertainment have surfaced, and her voice is definitely very different. It's up to you to decide whether you like it or not!

omg hi you guys! shhh... i'm backstage for our training session so i don't know if i'm supposed to be doing a live right now... it's our little secret okay? haha! yes, i'm going to be debuting with wish! i'm so excited to work with all of my unnies... especially jia sunbae! she's like my best friend here at wonderland. haha, i feel lopsided because i'm only wearing one earring!

Fans flooded the comments with questions about WISH's debut and asked for other details, obviously excited about the new group. Xiao frowned a little and answered:

hey! i don't think i'm supposed to tell you guys this stuff! don't trick me, that's not nice... trying to get me to reveal stuff because i'm the innocent maknae... i'm not going to fall for your tricks! just saying though, we're going to debut soon so please look out for us! i think i have to go now... mina sunbae will get mad if i accidentally reveal anything...

The final member to be revealed of WISH was Hotaru Yuuka, the main vocalist and face of the group. Yuka ran a popular gaming channel on YouTube as a young teenager, but she was a surprise addition to the group.

um... oh no, where do i look? staring at the camera is awkward sometimes... um, sorry, my korean isn't that good... do you mind if we continued in japanese? no? oh, sorry, i'll try i guess... um, hello! my name is hotaru yuuka, and i'm going to join the group wish! i'm very excited for this opportunity!

Some fans thought it was cute how she couldn't speak very good Korean, but others thought it would hold the group back. One fan wrote:

how are they going to sing in korean when the main vocalist can barely speak it? ugh, this is so unfair... why are sara, jia, and honnie being put aside for this girl?

To which Yuka responded (after some translation services from her personal translator):

i'm so sorry that you feel that way! let me know how i can prove it to you guys that i can do this... i promise i will not let you down! i'll try my hardest to make everyone happy... let's do this, wish! fighting!

Yuka appears to be the final member of WISH, but WonderLand Entertainment has not yet confirmed that there are 7 members in the group. There could be a secret member, but most likely not, as 7 is a well-rounded group number.

In the meantime, WL has released the choreography video, though their decision on the final choreography has yet to be confirmed. For now though, we are in awe of these girls' talents!

WISH DEBUT CONFIRMED!

WL Entertainment released a statement 30m ago regarding the official debut date of WISH! The group is set to debut on October 29th, 2019 with a mini album entitled NIGHTMARE! 

In advance of their debut, WISH will be hosting vlives and updating their new social media platforms, much to the excitement of their growing fanbase (DREAMERS.)

Preorders for the album begin October 3rd, 2019 and their EP is expected to contain 4-5 tracks including a special intro from each of the members. Fans are already guessing the name of the title track due to a cryptic and frankly unnerving vlive by Lin Hachi, the maknae of the group.

Halloween is not commonly celebrated in Taiwan, where Xiao is from. She appears to be doing a livestream with her roommate, Jia, in the background, but the exact location is unknown.

ooh, what's your favorite kind of candy? mine is butterflingers, obviously. or maybe a jellybean... for my costume-- i'm gonna need a mask, i wanna play superhero for the night.

If we look closely, we can see references to Season 4, Episode 4 of Riverdale, or the infamous Halloween episode. Is Xiao trying to tell us something?
