Mingyu cheered as he walked out of his last finals exam knowing that he had gotten an A in that course with how much he'd studied for it. He got his phone out and immediately texted Wonwoo.

MINGYU: I'M DONEEEEE! SUMMER BREAK HERE I COME!!!!

WONWOO: 🙄 how dare you gloat about finishing your finals when I still have TWO more exams???

MINGYU: ...sorry I forgot

WONWOO: 🖕🖕🖕

Mingyu laughed as he put his phone in his pocket and continued to walk down the hallway. He spotted Yeri and quickened his pace in order to avoid her. He'd already told her to leave him alone forever but Yeri was weird, she never backed down.

Mingyu started to wonder what he would do this summer break. Normally he spent his summer at his parent's beach house with Seokmin and Minghao but Seokmin decided to visit his parents this summer break and Minghao was also going to see his parents in China.

And Mingyu had no other close friends... except Wonwoo. The two had become a lot closer over the past few weeks with them hanging out almost everyday. Mingyu kind of owed his closeness to Wonwoo to Hoshi, Jihoon and Jun because if they were single, Wonwoo would probably hang out with them instead.

Wonwoo was slowly opening up to Mingyu and Mingyu appreciated that so much. He'd started to see sides to Wonwoo he never knew the beauty had. He was 100% head over heels for Wonwoo but he didn't mind just being friends with the beauty either... for now.

Mingyu decided to stop at Wonwoo's dorm knowing that Jun was being Minghao's muse for his art project.

He reached Wonwoo's dorm and knocked on the door, not waiting that long before it swung open. "Oh, it's you." Wonwoo said in a fake disappointed tone.

"Were you expecting anyone else?" Mingyu asked, a bit offended. "Not really." Wonwoo replied, before walking off. It took Mingyu a moment to realise Wonwoo was just teasing him.

"Ya! You're teasing me too much nowadays!" Mingyu complained as he walked up to Wonwoo. " 'Ya'? Have you forgotten I'm older than you?"

Mingyu playfully rolled his eyes. "With like 8 to 9 months." He retorted and Wonwoo gently pushed Mingyu. "Leave right now." He ordered making Mingyu laugh.

"I won't distract you from studying, don't worry." Mingyu assured Wonwoo noticing the pile of books on the coffee table. "Yes you will."

"The only thing I could distract you with is my beauty." Mingyu showed off his jawline and Wonwoo paused in shock before pushing Mingyu again. "That was the cringiest line I've ever heard." He said as Mingyu just laughed.

"Wait wait wait! Before I leave, what are your summer break plans?" Mingyu asked making Wonwoo stop. "Oh... I don't really have any." He answered walking over to the couch.

"How come?" Mingyu followed, curious. "Well I usually stay with Hoshi and his parents but he and Jihoon are doing some volunteer trip thing and I don't have the money to pay for a ticket right now." Wonwoo explained.

"And Jun's going to see his parents in China... so I might just stay in the dorms actually, maybe do the summer session."

Mingyu sat beside Wonwoo before turning to face the beauty. "What of your parents?" He asked and he noticed Wonwoo's demeanor change. Had he perhaps crossed a line?

"You don't have to answer-"

"I'm an orphan." Wonwoo replied and Mingyu immediately went quiet. "My parents passed away in my 1st year of high school and Hoshi's parents allowed me to live with them. They basically fostered me." He explained and Mingyu just nodded in understanding.

"I made everything weird now." Wonwoo fiddled with his fingers. Mingyu shook his head in response. "No you didn't, I'm sorry about your parents passing by the way." Mingyu patted Wonwoo's shoulder.

"It's fine, I'm okay now." Wonwoo assured Mingyu although his words weren't very convincing.

"Besides! You could stay with me this summer!" Mingyu said excitedly earning a stare from Wonwoo.

"What?" Wonwoo asked Mingyu making sure he'd heard what the boy had said. "Instead of staying in the dorms, you could come stay with me." Mingyu rephrased his words.

"Wouldn't your parents care? They don't even know me." Wonwoo's eyes moved back to his textbook. "My parents don't really stay at home, they always have one business meeting or the other." Mingyu said nonchalantly but Wonwoo had a suspicion that he was hurt about that.

"And I'm not going home." Mingyu added. "I'm going to their beach house in Jeju."

"I can't pay for that." Wonwoo informed Mingyu who just shrugged. "I don't care, I'll pay for you." He replied and Wonwoo coughed, surprised by Mingyu's coolness. Was he always this cool or was it just a one-time thing?

"I don't think I can let you pay for me, I'd feel... guilty." Wonwoo admitted and Mingyu got on his knees shocking Wonwoo. "Please please please! I have no one to spend the summer with, Seokmin and Minghao are both going home!" Mingyu pleaded, his hands put together in a praying stance.

"Oh... so I'm just a replacement?" Wonwoo asked, half joking and half serious. Mingyu went silent before shaking his head rapidly. "No, you could never be a replacement!" He defended and Wonwoo tried his best to stop himself from smiling.

"Fine, I'll go with you to Jeju, but I have to do something for you in return, whatever you want me to do, agreed?" Wonwoo brought out his hand and Mingyu shook it instantly, grinning, "Agreed!"

"Now can you leave?" Wonwoo pointed to the door but Mingyu just stood up and walked to the kitchen. "I'll be here, silent, just using my phone."

Wonwoo took a deep breath before looking at Mingyu. "Please don't make me go back to my dorm." Mingyu begged, his lips in a pout.

"Fine, you can stay but be quiet." Wonwoo told the boy who celebrated (quietly) before sitting on one of the barstools and resting his head.

Wonwoo continued to study but kept checking on Mingyu, he knew the boy's presence was enough to distract him.

Wonwoo glanced at Mingyu again, noticing that he was now asleep. Wonwoo stood up, moving towards Mingyu. He leaned against the counter and studied Mingyu's features. He really was handsome. That, Wonwoo could admit, ...even though he wasn't into guys.

Wonwoo spotted an eyelash detached hanging on Mingyu's eyelid and as he reached his hand out to take it off, Mingyu's eyes opened freezing Wonwoo.

"What are you doing?" Mingyu asked in his sleepy voice and Wonwoo kept silent, not knowing what to say.

He should've been studying but here he was staring at Mingyu.
