Chapter One: The Future is Bright
The night before classes start is the favorite night of the year for many. The reasons for this are as varied as the student body. Some like to enjoy one last night free from Blackwell's academic rigors, others are excited to finally be away from home and settled into campus. Yet, the most popular answer by far comes down to a very special event hosted by the campus: Bright Futures.
The event is essentially a festival hosted in the campus square. There's free food and music (and often quite a bit of drinking). The president of the college usually gives a speech, and several campus organizations set up booths. Most regard the whole thing as a big party, meant to celebrate the dusk of summer and the dawn of a new year. At midnight, paper lanterns are released into the sky, one for each member of the student body, which are meant to represent the 'bright futures' the students are building at Blackwell University.
I'll set up a main chain and a chat chain. That said, you should all feel free to create individual chains! Tag me to talk to Kinsley, Jon, Avianna, or Maylee.
