I heard three voices kinda shouting at each other. But I got near I heard Nik telling the plan to simply ask Marcel to give Elijah back."Are you serious, you gonna ask him, how with candies Niklaus?" I asked as I leaned towards the doorframe. "Well, that's only the plan 'A' love. There's always a plan 'B'"

"And what's plan 'B'?" I asked as Nik smirked.

"WAR"

Nik and Rebekah were back and came with Sophie. I told Hayley to eavesdrop on them as the whole house is soundproof. Then when everything was done Hayley told me what all they planned and the rest I got to know from Bex. Later that night Rebekah and Niklaus went to the gala Marcel organised. I had to stay home with Hayley. 

Hayley went out to the poolside to enjoy the view while I lied in the bed and watched television. Sabine a witch came to accompany us as everyone was out. But she did something interesting. She used her grandma's trick to sense the gender but while she did she had a vision and she said something in some other language. I don't know what she said. 

They came back after a while Sabine left. Nik killed Katie the witch to gain more of Marcel's trust and Marcel is ready to give Elijah back.

I and Hayley were sitting when Nik came in and announced that Elijah was returning to us. As he was leaving I spoke "Hey, I learnt something today. I think it's a girl," even if his back was towards me I could sense the smile and joy that he felt as I told the gender. 

The next day Nik brought in a girl called Camille. He said she understood him. I don't know why he thinks that cause over the course of a thousand years I am not able to understand him. As I listened to his talk with Cami he talked about two women.

One was pregnant and in need of protection and the other was a girl held captive by a tyrant. And he wants to protect the first one and free the other. It feels weird seeing Nik do good things. But Cami's reply was also exact. She said he has unstable personal relationships, stress-related paranoia, chronic anger issues, and fear of abandonment. The girl is good.

Nik wanted to talk to her every day so he gave her a job as his stenographer to write his memoirs. But as everything is going well he in between stated that he would need to interfere in between to get to know about Marcel as it's essential to his plan.

"Really you just want her to get to know about Marcel?" I asked as I entered to room. "Oh good, it's you. I guess you know Cami as you have been eavesdropping but Cami this is Scarlett, my pregnant girlfriend," a small smile formed on my face as he introduced me as his girlfriend. 

"Why just use her Nik? And after this what? You told her about vampires, witches then what compelled her?" 

"Excuse me I'm right here," 

"No worries Cami darling Marcel is a bad boy and you are good, too good to be in our world," 

I vamp speed to her and compelled her to "Get out of the town and never--" Before I can finish Nik came in between. 

"Don't Scar don't, I have been trying to make MY CITY safe for OUR CHILD, so I need no one coming in between. And as you are concerned about her. She won't be harmed in the process,"

"Ok but as you speak so much about being a good father remember that you ACCUSED me of cheating on you and to redeem yourself from it prove to me that my child means something to you. And yes I have been angry at you"

Niklaus just nodded at my words as I took the exit.

"I told you, Agnes I feel great," I told the witch as I flipped the page of my book. "You are overdue for a checkup," she said. "What am I gonna do, pop into the Quarter for a quick ultrasound? A girl pregnant with Klaus's child escorted by a witch? Nothing to see here." I joked... "A lot of women would kill to have a child, strikes me as odd that you're not taking better care of yours," Rebekah spoke while working on her laptop. Agnes said she knows a doctor out in the Bayou and it would be safe and no vampire would be there. So I agreed and left the room.

Later that night I went with Agnes to the bayou doctor. It was so deep in the bayou that I started to doubt. Agnes said it was safe so I went inside. The doctor did the ultrasound and told me the baby is fine. Just for my own happiness, I told her to give me a print of the ultrasound and she did so. I got a message from Rebekah. "Your blood pressure is high a bit, I've got something for it," the Doctor said and went towards Agnes.

Bexs: Where are you?
Me: Bayou for the checkup

It was getting suspicious. The doctor had a pep talk with Agnes and a car came outside. Then the doctor came in with pills. "Ah, you know I'm actually not that good with pills," I said, "Well, me neither, truth be told," she said. Some men came in from the front door and now it's getting more suspicious. The doctor came up to me with a syringe. But I plunged it into her neck because of that the men started to come towards me. I ran towards the room door locked it and jumped out of the window. I ran deep into the forest till the men walked past me. I ran behind them punched the first one and kicked the second. The third one pushed me away which made my fangs come out. I hissed and got up to attack but his neck broke and he fell. Rebekah was there. "Bekah, Hayley" I sighed... "I have to say I'm impressed," Hayley commented and Rebekah smirked.

"How did you find me?"

"Your text got me halfway and vamp hearing did the rest, who are they?"

"Witches, warlocks, whatever."

"There are more of them. RUN!"

And that's what I did but Bekah getting shot stopped me. "Rebekah!" I shouted and that's when the arrow shot me and darkness consumed me.

I don't know what happened, I woke up in a different place. I pulled myself together and walked towards the clinic. That's when I saw Nik, Hayley and Rebekah. "Scarlett, what happened? Tell me what happened," Nik asked. "I can't remember," "You've completely healed," Nik said while scanning my whole body. "Perks of being a vampire, remember?" "No, not this fast, your magic makes it faster and right now your magic is not working," I raised an eyebrow at his comment "Leave her alone. It's the baby, the vampire blood, Klaus' blood in your system doubles the vampire blood. Your own child healed you," Bexs said as she helped me sit down on the porch. "How did you escape? You were outnumbered, unarmed. Those men were ripped to shreds" Hayley asked. "I don't know I was shot too with Rebekah."

Niklaus started to babble about how witches were supposed to protect me and more. I decided to ignore it and rest my head on Bekah's shoulder. "Can we go home now Nik? I'd really like to sleep for a few days" I asked in a low voice. I started to get up and take a step when my knees went weak and I lost my balance before I could touch the floor Nik caught me and picked me up in bridal style. "I've got you, love. I've got you," he said as I rested my head on his shoulder and grabbed his jacket tightly. It feels great to be in his arms. This feeling is what I have been craving since I found out I was pregnant.

As we reached the plantation. Nik placed me on my bed and started to walk off. But I grabbed his hand. "What happened Letty?" he asked in a concerned voice. "After everything, I just can't stay away and mad at you and I don't know why. Wait I know because I love you," I said in a soft voice and received a small smile from him. "Will you stay tonight?" I asked and he just nodded and laid down beside me. I snuggled my head in his neck as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. As he placed a kiss on my head he said "I love you too Letty. Goodnight."
