{ANAKIN'S POV}
(y/n) and I stayed in the meadow for hours, just talking with each other as the sun set over the meadow. The longer I spent with her, the more I fell in love with her personality. I also started to notice certain things, like how she covers her mouth when she lets out a big laugh, or how she plays with her dress when she's distracted or anxious or even how she scrunches her nose a little when she smiles. I could sit here finding new things about her for hours, infatuated by her every move.
We sat watching the sunset together, whilst snacking on some food I had brought in the basket from the house. As the sun hid behind the lake, the night began to fall, the stars becoming clearer in the sky. I watch (y/n) as she looks up to the sky, studying the stars and their patterns. The breeze started to pick up and the air got chillier, and in the corner of my eyes I saw (y/n) cross her arms, grasping her elbows and shivering a little. Without hesitation, I took of my black robe and put it around her exposed shoulders. She grabbed the material and pulled it closer together on her and looked at me in gratitude. My robe looked so baggy on her, but it was adorable the way it drowned her. She looked so cute... in my robe.
She suddenly shot me a look and lay on her back on the blanket, staring up at the stars. I copied her, lying down myself. I turned my head to the side to face her, and she does the same, locking eyes with me. She looked back up to the sky, lifting up her arm and pointing. I sniggered a little as the sleeve of my robe fell down her arm.
"Do you see that star, there?"
I move my head next to hers and look where she was pointing. I spot it. "Yes?"
"Just past that cluster, if you hit hyperspace at that exact co-ordinate, you'll end up in the Solaris system."
I was impressed by her knowledge of the star charters and astronomy. "That's amazing."
She turned her head to face me again, but forgot that I had moved towards her, and so our faces were mere inches apart. Her nose accidentally grazes mine, but she doesn't move. I hear her take a deep breath as she stares into my eyes. I drowned in hers, watching how they shone in the starlight. My heart rate picked up as she smiled right at me, not breaking eye contact.
She turns back to the sky and goes back to staring at her star. "I miss my home."
"I know you do... I promise I'll take you back when it's safe," I sigh, moving my hand onto hers without moving my gaze from the sky. I feel her intake a sharp breath and she moves her hands, sitting up.
I shouldn't have touched her. Damn it, Anakin!
"It's getting late, maybe we should head back to the house..." (y/n) hoisted herself up and picked up the basket, holding it in front of her legs. I sigh, a little disappointed, but stand beside her. I watch her go to take off my robe, shivering as the air hit her arms again. I stop her, pulling it back over her shoulders.
"No, Princess.. you should keep it."
She nods gratefully and starts walking back to the house, me following closely behind, admiring her from behind in my oversized robe.

The next morning, I walked out into the main room of the house, to find (y/n) gone. I panic, not again. How does she get away so easily? I rush around the house, checking her bedroom, the kitchen, the fireplace room and even my bedroom but she was no where to be found. I rush out onto the patio and look around frantically. My heart eases up as I spot (y/n) sprawled out on a bench, reading near the edge of the lake. Well... I say my heart rate eased up, but just looking at her was enough to increase it again. I rest my body on the doorway, and look at her. I noticed that she was wearing a gorgeous pale yellow dress, embroidered with flowers much like the ones from the meadow. As I looked further, I noticed a clump of black material wrapped around her waist. My robe.
I watched as she turned the pages, her facial expressions changing every so often as she read through the book. I get up the courage to walk over to her, but she was so engrossed in her book she didn't even notice me.
"Good morning, your highness," I bow to her. After last nights events, I wasn't quite sure how to address her.
She jumps, startled. "Anakin! Good morning."
She shuts her book and places it on her lap, looking up at me. I suddenly become at a loss for words, her little smile distracting me completely. "I'm thinking of going down for a walk by the lake, care to join me?"
She was asking me? I couldn't believe it. "Yes, of course. I mean, I kinda have to though... for protection purposes."
She casts her gaze down to her book and plays with the spine, "Right... for protection."
(y/n) places her book down on the bench and stands up to face me. My robe falls off her waist as she stands up. She bends down to pick it up from the floor and hands it to me, before walking down the steps to the lake. I pull my robe back on my shoulders and follow her.
We stroll by the edge of the lake for a while, just watching the glistening water and admiring the green hills surrounding it. (y/n) stops at a spot shaded by a tree, and sits down. She pulls the skirt of her dress up to her knees and places her feet in the water, swishing them around. I smile to myself; she was perfect.
As (y/n) sat with her feet in the water, she motioned for me to join her. I was just about to, but the moment was ruined by the beeping of my wrist-com.
"Excuse me, my lady." I walk over to the tree and lean on the trunk, accepting the transmission.
"Anakin?" I hear the voice of Obi-Wan sound over the transmission. I rolled my eyes at his rude interruption.
"Yes, Master?"
"I need you to return with the Princess to Coruscant, the Senate have just brought the Solaris case into session."
"Right away, I'll see you soon." I ended the transmission and sighed as I looked at the back of (y/n)'s head. I didn't want to bring her back so soon, she was absolutely miserable on Coruscant. I wish I could stay with her on Naboo for longer, I had only just started to connect with her.
"Princess, we have to go back to Coruscant."
Her head turns to me immediately, and she takes her feet out of the water and walks over to me. "What do you mean we have to go back, we just got here?"
I sighed, I had to face her. "Senator Sarin has the floor at the Senate."
Her eyes widen and we immediately head to the ship.
It wasn't long before (y/n) and I were nearly back on Coruscant. I hadn't seen her for most of the journey though, so I decided to check on her. I walked through the ship to the room she was staying in. I knocked, but there was no answer. I used the force to open the door and see her sleeping on the single mattress. I walked over to her and looked down, using my hand to stroke her cheek gently. She was so peaceful. As my hand touched her skin, it felt cold. The vents were on full blast, making it very breezy in here. Once again, with no hesitation at all, I removed my robe and draped it over her like a blanket. She was wearing her Jedi outfit, but her tunic definitely wasn't enough to warm her. Her mouth curls in a smile as my robe blankets her, making me smile. I leave her in peace, and return to the bridge for landing.
Once I was back on Coruscant, I dropped (y/n) off at the Temple to meet with Ahsoka whilst I went to find Obi-Wan. After a while of tracking him down, I found him meditating in his quarters. I walked into the room, and he could sense it was me.
"Welcome back, Anakin. I trust you had a safe journey?" Obi-Wan says, not even opening his eyes.
"Yes, Master. The Princess wasn't too pleased about returning too quickly, but she was happy to see Ahsoka."
Obi-Wan opened his eyes and studied me, raising his eyebrows, "Where is your robe, Anakin?"
I look down on myself. I forgot I had left my robe with the Princess while she slept.
"I lost it on Naboo, Master," I lied, hoping he'd believe me. Obi-Wan uncrossed his legs and stroked his beard.
"Are you ok, Anakin? You seem conflicted."
I shake my head, "Nothing Master, I was just... thinking about my next mission."
I lied again.
"No you're not, you're thinking about the Princess, aren't you?"
I sigh in defeat; he caught me. How could he blame me though? She was truly captivating, she consumed all of my thoughts, with every move, every breath, my mind is centred on her.
"Being near her is just, intoxicating Master. She is amazing, if you knew the way she thinks, how she acts, the way she moves... I- I can't help it."
Obi-Wan shakes his head at me in disappointment. "Need I remind you of attachments and the Jedi Code, Anakin? You are training to be a Jedi, you cannot have these feelings for her. Besides, she is a Princess, Anakin, and you will treat her as one."
I clench my fists behind my back. I bow to my Master and leave his room, feeling the urge of wanting to break something wash over me. I knew he wouldn't understand, he doesn't know her as I do. She was everything, absolutely everything to me... but maybe Obi-Wan is right. She is a Princess, and I am definitely no Prince.
She's a Princess, and I am just a Jedi. And that is how it will always be. She would never go for someone like me.
{OBI-WAN'S POV}
I felt completely awful lying to him as I watched Anakin leave the room. I saw his fists clenched as he exited and I regretted turning him down as soon as the words came out of my mouth. He had confided in me, and I had shot him down with the stupid Jedi code.
I lied to Anakin.
Because I felt the same way about the Princess.
{a/n : just a quick thank you for all the support on the story so far! It means the world to me <3 }
