I left his room dissappointed , ibrahim paşa took him away from me and ruined my whole plan . I walked back to the harem with a sad expression and didn't talk to anyone i just headed straight to my bed and sat there waiting for nadia to comeback .

Everyone else was chatting and laughing and here i was the only one sitting alone , i started remembering his face and his features . His picture wouldn't leave my head no matter how much i tried , as i was waiting for nadia my eyes travelled to the side where an agha was standing , he signaled me to come .

I hesitated at first because what would he even want from me but then i stood up maybe it was a message from nadia . I walked towards him and he gave me a paper in my hand and left , i walked between hallways and made sure no one was near to read what was written peacefully

We couldn't really get to know eachother sofia , i wish to see you around again .

My heart started beating like crazy , the letter was from mehmed . I jumped like a kid in happiness before i burned the letter using a candle that was resting at the end of the hallway .my smile widened at each step i took , he was very sweet to me , and it meaned so much that he wrote to me .

I was busy walking happily until i crossed paths with nadia who had her head down .

" Nadia wait " i said running towards her making her stop in her tracks .

" Sofia " she immediately hugged me and started sobbing in my shoulder .

It worried me so much ,i have never seen her like this before .

" Nadia are you okay " i said patting her back before she broke the hug looking straight into my face .

" Selim .. he sent me back " she continued crying burrying her face in her hands

Nadia knew well that nothing was gonna happen yet she still hoped for something .

" Nadia you knew that nothing was gonna happen why are you crying now " i said taking her hand off her face .

" I know " she continued after wipping her tears away .

" Then what " i asked waiting for her to give me a proper reason .

" i wanna go back , he was so handsome i couldn't even believe " she said smiling and i laughed after her

I grabbed her arm and we both walked back to the harem , all the girls were getting ready to sleep . I helped nadia calm down before we changed into our sleep wears and went to sleep

The aghas closed the main doors and the lights were turned off , some concubines were laughing and talking quietly and some were already sleeping and here i was still thinking about mehmed . I told nadia everything and she couldn't help but get excited too

I shouldn't say this to anyone because everyone's eyes are on the princes and if i say what happened between us something bad will happen to me  .

" Hoping tomorrow will be a better day where i can see selim again " nadia said quietly so only i can hear her .

" Me too " i said staring deeply at the ceiling .

The next day

Today was another sunny day , but it was very different . For the first time i wake up in this palace with a purpose , with a new goal . I and nadia were very happy and the smiles couldn't help but follow us everywhere  .

We didn't really have much to do today but we heard that the royal family was going to have a  lunch in the gardens and only some of us were assigned to work .

I hoped to be chosen between them but i didn't get picked so i just sat in my bed reading a book while nadia was chatting with other girls .

" Hey you " sunbul called sitting in front of me , i closed the book very quickly and walked towards him .

" Come with me " he said fastening his pace and i just followed him , we were walking towards the kitchen where many girls were standing .

" Take these " he gave me a plate filled with bottles of juice and water .

After he put them between my hands he walked to the front line .

" I don't want any mistake understand me " he shouted so all of us in line could hear .

He signaled us to go and the line started moving , were we going to serve the sultan or the royal family as a whole ?i wished mehmed would be there too , or at least pass by so i can see him .

I took a deep breath and finally arrived at the garden , it was empty but everything was setted . We all put the dishes down the table and reparted them , i was dissapointed that i couldn't see mehmed today .

I put everything in my hands down the table and walked away back to the palace dissapointed again but suddenly i felt a hand grab mine and drag me somewhere else .i was ready to scream but the person shushed me  I looked at the person and i couldn't believe it was him . He was so close that i couldn't even move

" What are you doing here " i asked dumbfounded not being able to put my words correctly .

" i think i should be asking you that " he said taking a few steps back making me panic less

" i was just setting the table outside " i said looking around us to see if no one is gonna see us .

" What are you looking for " he said gaining my attention ,i chuckled .

" what if someone sees us it's not allowed " i explained to him but he started laughing quietly .

" It isn't princess " my heart jumped a bit after he called me princess ,i smiled shyly .

Suddenly i started hearing footsteps coming from a far and i knew i had to go but i didn't want to be but it's better if we don't get into trouble .

" someone is coming " i whispered and he looked to the source of the sound .

He smirked and walked towards me again , he blocked me from moving with his hands on the wall . My legs were gonna give up at any moment

The sound started getting closer and i had to go , i put a peck on his cheek and managed fo free his grip , i walked away and looked at him one last time before running back to the harem .
