What inspired you to start writing?
Honestly, I was rewatching The Vampire Diaries when I got an idea for how I can place my character into those scenes. I was totally new to writing in tvd universe that reading others stories also inspired and pushed me to write as well.
Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?
I 100% did. I'm currently experiencing it with my book Lose It right now! I usually got past it by thinking about how my characters can interact with others and fit in with the plot. If that doesn't work, I rewatch some episodes of either The Vampire Diaries or The Originals and imagine how my character can fit in
Do you see yourself in any characters and why?
I can see myself as my character Nina Brandis. For 7 years despite living with Rebekah she was totally oblivious to the supernatural world and I can relate to that because most of the time I rarely catch on to the little details and clues haha. When finding out the big secret, she flipped out which is something I'd 100% do too. I couldn't imagine quickly forgiving someone who has been lying about something so big as being a vampire, not to mention an original one, for 7 years.
How old are you?
16
How old were you when you started writing?
I was around 13 I think when I wrote two books but those were beyond horrible so when I logged back in a year ago, I deleted them as fast as I could!
Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?
When I started writing my first actual book Youngblood, I remember feeling so excited! The pure joy of creating a character and bringing them to life for others to follow along is just so thrilling and I feel incredibly honoured that people love my characters as much as I do
How long does it take you to write a book on average?
I completed Youngblood in five or six months I believe and since Bloodline is going to take much longer seeing as it's following all 5 seasons of the originals, it honestly varies on if I get writers' block or how much is needed to write I guess
What's your outside life like?
I play sports and have a lot of assignments so that takes up so much time which is why I usually update on the weekends or as often as I can!
Where do you get your ideas from?
Honestly, sometimes I'll be in the car or just in school and I'll randomly think of ideas!
What do you like to do when you're not writing?
When I'm not writing, I love taking pictures and walking on different trails
What does your family think about your writing?
They don't 100% know about it but they do know that I write and both of my parents encourage me to write more.
What do you think makes a good story?
I think if the story has a unique plot and differs from other stories then it can be really amazing!
What's your favourite genre? and why?
I love reading fiction and mystery
What's the hardest thing to write for you and why?
I think the hardest thing for me to write is emotional scenes. I love having my characters happy but everyone knows life isn't always rainbows and sunshine so when writing my characters upset or in a situation, I try and do my best.
Do you work on an outline or do you just write with the flow?
It's a bit of both. Right now I have an outline for season 4 and 5 of Bloodline but I'm slightly struggling with the writing of season 3
Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?
I want to thank anyone who's read my stories and love my characters the way that I love them!! <3
And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers
If you're writing a book based on a show, try and stay away from plots and characters/face claims other people have used! It makes your story more unique and different. Also, remember to use proper grammar! This makes a story more enjoyable reading. Have fun while writing and write what YOU want, not what others want. <3
...
That's it. Dont forget to vote so I know you like it and want to read
