anyways, a girl drowns and she finds herself in this afterlife-like place

it's not like any place she imagined (or maybe she did idk, your story)

she talks to the (rulers?) of the afterlife-ish place

and she can look at humans in the world

she can watch her parents at her funeral mourn for her

her brother knock at her door to show her his project, only to remember. . .

she can watch her friends place flowers on her grave

watch her boyfriend finger with his necklace she gave him

i'm gonna cry-

anyways, for a few days, she watches her family and friends as they mourn for their loss

she then thinks of how she died

drowning

she was an expert swimmer

she loved competitions

then why did she drown?

one of her friends (or a stranger, whatever)

thinks this is odd too

so the girl delves deep into her foggy memories to remember what happened that eventful day (or night)

she remembers (or not) her ankle feeling a lot heavier

and a helpless feeling

drowning wasn't fun

(i would know, i've almost done it a million times, no joke)

she remembers (or not) someone's hand on her ankle

but who?

none of the rulers from the afterlife will tell her or help her with her issues

and why is she the only person in the afterlife anyways. . .

(or not)

she uses her ghostly abilities (or not) to help the confused classmate, friend, etc. solve the mystery of her death

before anyone else dies next. . .
