FINALLY, THE WEEK HAD flown by so fast. But for some reason it didn't feel like a Friday. Mid-terms were approaching quickly as they were on around the corner. It would all begin on Monday and last throughout the entire week. So you needed to spend as much time as you could studying over the weekend.

"Y/N~" The short blonde called your name in a rather cheerful tone as she approached you from behind. "There's something going on between you and Jean isn't there?"

You quickly turned around, clasping your hand over her mouth. In response her eyes grew wide and sparkled with excitement. "How could you say something so bizarre?!" You replied hotly at her assumption with a pinkish tone coming along your cheeks.

Historia grabbed your wrist, forcing your hand away from her mouth. A wide smile sat on her face. "So it's true! I'm so happy for you! I had a feeling that this would happen! Jean's always been head over heels for you. It's refreshing to see him so genuinely in love."

"In love?" You coughed. You raised your arm over your mouth to hide the blush on your face. "I thought he's had multiple girlfriends in the past."

She shook her head. "Yeah, but I've never seen him this way. You're like- totally different! I could see why he likes you though. You're an amazing person Y/N."

Completely flustered, you turned around on your heels. You cleared your throat, resting the palm of your hand on your cheek. It was warm. "It's not like I'm his girlfriend though."

"Y/N," She whined curling her lips to a frown "He's going to ask you to be his girlfriend. Just give it some time."

"Princess Historia!" An older slim man came running up to the blonde, panting heavily. He wore a formal black suit and had a cerulean round pendant around his neck. "Your family requests that you come home right away."

Historia rolled her eyes before heaving a heavy sigh. She placed her hand on your shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "You'll listen to me won't you? Ah- I know you will. Anyways I have to go now. I'll see you on Monday!"

Before you could turn around to bid her goodbye she had already blended in with the sea of students. You exhaled softly, pulling your books close to your chest. Every time someone would mention his name your heart would start racing wildly and your face would grow hot. You'd lose your train of thought.

You found it rather inconvenient as this had been happening ever since that incident. That incident that left you embarrassed every time you thought of it. You could still feel the warmth of his lips against yours from time to time. That intoxicating cologne he wore, you could vaguely remember that too.

Thisโ€” no. There was no doubt about it. You definitely felt something more for him. You found it quite comical actually. Jean had been the least appealing person ever since you started University, but now that seemed to be the opposite of how you truly felt.

"How long have you been standing there?" That voice that now made your heart flutter spoke. Jean's gaze was fixated onto your blank expression. His face cracked a small smile. "Isn't it cold?"

You stepped one foot back in shock as a small squeak traveled up your throat. You raised your eyes to meet his face, your cheeks were on fire. "No- ah I mean.. no it's not cold."

"Your nose says otherwise. It's red.. and so are your cheeks." He unraveled the raven scarf around his neck and slowly wrapped it around yours. He made sure to securely tie the back so it wouldn't fall off.

Your body was frozen in place. You were too nervous to even utter a single word. All you did was avert your gaze from his and brought your eyes to his feet. Jean gently took your hand in his, bringing your hand into the pocket of his jacket.

"You might catch a cold if you stay out here." Jean began walking, dragging you behind him. "I'll bring you home today. Marco says he'll be staying at the library after school to study for exams."

Your head hung low as you trailed behind him. "You're not going to study?"

He merely shrugged at your question before stopping in front of his motorcycle. "I actually wanted to study with you." Jean picked up the extra helmet he always carried around and placed it over your head.

"What? Why me?" Your cheeks flushed an intense shade of red. You gripped onto the cuff of your sleeve, fiddling with the button. Tonight you hadn't planned on studying with anyone else as you didn't want to be distracted.

"You're fun to be around of course. Also I just want to be with you, even for just a couple of hours. Just the two of us." He smiled, slipping on his own motorcycle helmet. Jean tossed one leg over the motor vehicle and sat down.

"Fine." You released a soft sigh before climbing aboard, wrapping your arms around his waist. Just when you had started to become comfortable putting your arms around him like this, you just had to realize that you were falling for him. It put you back at the beginning.

"Do you want to fly off?" He chuckled, readjusting your arms so that they were securely wrapped around his waist. "Don't you dare let go okay? I'll get upset if you loosening your arms even just the slightest bit."

"Alright, just go already.." You muttered quietly and leaned the side of your head against his back.

Six-thirty PM. Both you and Jean had been studying for nearly three hours now without uttering a single word to each other. Although Jean could barely keep his eyes on his paper as his eyes always gravitated towards your face. Without knowing it himself, he'd end up watching you for a while.

"Is it going to rain?" You frowned bringing your attention to the window.

The sun had completely disappeared. Large gray clouds covered the sky. Just thirty minutes ago there was barely a cloud in the sky. The sun was shining brightly.

Jean placed his pencil down on the table. His eyes traveled to the large glass panel, concern quickly etched onto his face. "The weather report didn't say it was going to rain today..."

You brought your attention back to him. "Don't ride your motorcycle home. It's dangerous to ride in the rain." A stern expression sat on your face as you stared at him with your intense E/C hues.

"How else would I be able to get home?" He tilted his head with confusion evident in his eyes.

You slid his cellphone towards him and gently tapped on the screen. "Call Marco or get a taxi."

The ash-brown haired boy crossed his arms over his chest, looking away. "No way. Taxis are sketchy, plus Marco must be home by now. I can't ask him to go out again for my sake." He huffed.

A long tired sigh escaped your mouth. You laid your arm across the glass surface and rested your head on your arm. "How will you get home then?"

There was a long moment of silence between you and Jean. He leaned his back on your couch and gazed up at the ceiling, getting lost in his own thoughts. Out of nowhere, he snapped his fingers as if he had come up with a solution. You immediately lifted your head off the table and stared at him.

"It can't be helped. So I'll just stay here for the night." He confirmed with a firm nod. Jean crossed his arms, tracing his jawline with his thumb. "If that's alright with you."

You blinked your eyes completely dumbfounded at his solution. The blood instantly rose to your cheeks as you realized what he had just said. A grown woman and a grown man sleeping underneath the same roof in the same apartment. How could he suggest something like that? He's not even your boyfriend. You mentally sighed.

"Really? I can't sleep here alone with you Jean! That's crazy... we haven't even started dating yet." You pressed your palms on the glass surface and slightly pulled yourself up.

A small laugh escaped his lips. "Would you like to start dating then?" He raised an eyebrow with genuine curiosity.

"Yes- wait no! I don't know." You felt like you were going to die from embarrassment at what you had just blurted out. Your heart was running wild and your ability to think properly was deeply affected by Jean's presence.

"Y/N L/N, I may not have a bouquet of flowers with me at the moment. Hell, I don't even have anything on hand so it's kind of embarrassing to ask you like this." He rubbed at his nape as a light blush appeared on his face. "But will you be my girlfriend?"
