"That damn
foreign alcohol."

โ”โ”โ”โ”

THE NEXT MORNING YOU woke up with a head-splitting headache. Luckily it was Saturday so there was no classes today. Your schedule was completely free. The last thing you remembered was talking with Mikasa about her family lineage and how she was the Princess of the Hizuru group you had heard so much about growing up in Japan. She didn't seem to care for the Hizuru group, all she wanted was to be wherever Eren was.

With a disappointed look you let her off the hook after seeing how you wouldn't be able to learn more about the Hizuru group through her. After that conversation you couldn't remember anything else. It must've been that damn foreign alcohol you drank. You could still remember the bitter taste. It made you cringe.

Your room was spotless. Lying on the floor beside your bed was Historia with her body entangled with Ymir's. They were the ones who had probably helped you get into your pajamas. A small smile crept up on your face, Ymir must have loved Historia so much just to come here. Knowing Ymir, she probably wouldn't have come if it weren't for Historia.

In order to tend to your head-ache you quickly got up and went straight to the kitchen for a glass of water. As soon as you walked into the living room you immediately spotted Jean sprawled across the couch, shirtless. You clasped your hands over your eyes nearly screaming at the sight.

At the end of the couch was Marco who was sitting upright with his arms crossed over his chest. Other than those two, no one else was around. It was also very clean to your surprise. After having so many people over you would've expected to spend your Saturday cleaning up after them.

You took a deep breath before going into the kitchen. On the island counter there was already a glass of water ready for you with a white bottle with the label 'Advil' on it. Beneath the cup was a small folded up piece of paper.

Oi,

How dare you drink so much more than you can handle?

I cleaned up the entire place for you as soon as everybody left. Marco and Jean were left, but Marco promised to take Jean home after an hour or so. I doubt he actually left though seeing how Marco could barely keep his eyelids open at that hour. Jean was wasted. Not surprising to you I hope.

You owe me okay?

โ€” Ackerman, Levi.
P.S. One question.
Do I really make you
want to piss your pants
when I glare at you?

You found it hard to comprehend the last sentence because you had no idea what he was talking about. A small smile formed on your face at his thoughtfulness. You didn't expect him to clean up after everyone else because you were the one housing the apartment. The kind gesture alleviated your headache a bit along with the help of the medications you were given.

"Oh shitโ€”!" Marco jumped out of his seat as soon as he opened his eyes. The boy with the lighter hair tumbled off the couch at his sudden movement. "I was supposed to take you home last night."

Jean grimaced in pain and held his stomach. "I have a massive headache.." He muttered softly and sat up, supporting his body by placing a hand on the ground behind him.

"And you're shirtless." You deadpanned, chucking the bottle of Advil at him. In return Jean rolled his eyes before cracking the bottle open. He popped a capsule into his mouth and swallowed it without any water.

Marco flashed you a look of shame. He fidgeted with his fingers and bit down on his lip. "I'm sorry Y/N. I should've taken him home last night."

"That would've been dangerous for both of you. Levi said you could barely keep your eyelids open by the time everyone left." You placed your hands on his shoulders and gave them a gentle squeeze. "What would I do if you two ended up in an accident?"

"That wouldn't have been yourโ€”"

After catching onto what he was about to say you cut him off by pinching his neck with two of your fingers. He flinched at the sudden infliction of pain. "Of course it would have been my problem! I would've felt terrible if that happened."

Jean raised his hands up into the air, yawning obnoxiously. "Marco is such a worry-wart. Get used to him in trying to take the blame for everything."

Marco nodded, releasing a quiet sigh. "Man, this is still bad. Is there anyone else still here?" He raised his head to look up at you.

You pointed over to your bedroom door. "Historia and Ymir are still here. I'm glad they are because if I was left with just you two here.. I'd probably call the cops."

He chuckled in response. "Fair enough."

Jean pushed himself off the ground and quickly threw his button up on, lazily buttoning it up and missing a few holes.

"Man," You sighed beginning to get frustrated by just watching him struggle. You walked around the couch and grabbed his arm, spinning him around so he was facing your direction. "Does your mom still need to help you do these things?"

You quickly unbuttoned every button on his shirt and redid each one with more care. Jean's cheeks flushed a rose-pink color, feeling slightly flustered with the situation.

"There." You patted his shirt down to flatten down any wrinkles and smiled with satisfaction.

He rubbed the back of his head and cleared his throat, averting his gaze from you. "Thanks." Jean rushed past you, making his way to the kitchen to get himself a glass of water. After seeing your empty glass sitting on the table he decided to use it, not knowing you had just drank out of it.

You watched him with a dulled expression. "I just drank out of that glass.." You lifted your index finger, pointing at the cup in his hand. You watched as he swallowed the water before seeing him grab onto the edge of the table, coughing up a storm.

Marco's eyes followed yours. Growing up so close to Jean, he'd never seen him so clumsy and embarrassed. Usually he was a prideful boy who wasn't easily embarrassed. But after meeting you Marco noticed that his best friend was beginning to mature.

"Don't worry about him." He stood up and patted your back.

You released a scoff of disbelief. You looped your arms over your chest and shook your head. "Who said I was worried? He just seems to be putting on a good show in my kitchen."

"Good morning!!" That familiar soft angelic voice called out to you. In the doorway stood the blonde with the brunette, her hand resting on the top of her head. "Y/N!" She ran up to you and grabbed your sleeve.

"Good morning..." You returned an awkward smile, moving the strands of hair out of her face. "Listen I'mโ€”"

"Save your apology Y/N." Ymir leaned against the doorway with the corner of her lip slightly going up. "You put on quite the show last night."

Historia's irises lit up at Ymir's comment as she remembered the memories she had made with you last night. "That's right! You're such a fun person Y/N!" She giggled, jabbing at your side.

You felt a drop of sweat trickle down your neck, a feeling of uneasiness residing in your stomach. "What do you mean?"

"Now I remember!" Jean's body perked up and his face lit up like a light-bulb. It was the same reaction you'd have to solving a really difficult math problem. "Say Ymir, you do remember that game of Kiss, Marry, or Kill we did right? Y/N's answer was quite surprising."

"Kiss? Marry? Kill?" You stood dumbfounded, scratching at your temple. "Is that a game you foreigners play? Like... chess?"

Ymir threw her head back, howling with laughter. She held her stomach and bent forward to suppress the pain from laughing so hard. "Noโ€”! You literally just say who you'd kiss, marry, or kill amongst the group! Chess? What made you think of that?" She slapped her knee.

Jean raised his hand in the air with a cocky smirk on his face. "I can repeat what you said. Ex-act-ly what you said." He emphasized his words, shifting his weight on one leg.

You slipped your arm out of Historia's grip and bolted towards Jean, clasping your hand over his mouth. You looked up at him with pleading eyes, shaking your head to give him a hint.

He raised one eyebrow and you could feel his smirk grow even wider beneath the palm of your hand. This only meant one thing. He was going to come up with a negotiation. A negotiation that would only be known by the two of you.

Jean grabbed your wrist and pulled your hand away from his mouth. He pushed you aside and rested one hand on his hip, licking his lip. "Fine. If Y/N doesn't want to hear it, I guess it can't be helped. Right Ymir?" He narrowed his vision onto the tall brunette.

She sighed a bit annoyed and nodded. "Fine. I'll be nice and keep my mouth zipped. You too Historia." Ymir furrowed her eyebrows at the smaller girl.

"Of course!" She smiled and pressed her finger against her lip, her gorgeous blue hues telling you that her lips her sealed.

Historia and Marco were the only people in this room that you knew you could trust with your heart. Their kindness was incomparable to anything else you've experienced. Although you didn't exactly know what your answer was, you still didn't want to hear it. It was probably embarrassing.. you felt like Levi's last sentence in that note had something to do with it.

Suddenly everyone froze at the sound of someone's phone going off in the other room. You hurried over and picked up the call without reading the contact name.

"Hey Y/N!" Armin's called your name over the phone quietly, making sure his voice wasn't loud. He had a feeling you'd wake up with a headache so he took that into consideration. "Did I wake you?"

You held the phone up with your shoulder and grabbed the edges of your comforter. "No, not at all!" You kneeled on your bed and began fixing the covers.

You could imagine his face softening with relief. "That's great! Do you remember how I was saying I wanted to go to see the ocean some day with everyone? Well tomorrow is supposed to be the last day of warm weather before the temperatures begin to decline. So what do you say?"

You glanced at the calendar that was sitting on your nightstand. After seeing that your Sunday was free too, you decided why not. "Sure! It'll be my first time going to the beach here so it sounds exciting."

His large sapphire eyes sparkled at your response. Armin was excited to know you'd be coming along too because ever since he met you he just felt like you'd be such a great friend. "Perfect! I'll inform everybody else in our group chat."

With that he ended the call. You could only imagine the look in his eyes and the excitement he must've felt when you said yes. Tomorrow was the perfect chance for you to kick back and relax, maybe pop a sparkling beverage and read a book on the beach. You were also a little excited to talk with Armin more about the ocean.

A relaxing day by the beach sounded like a dream.
