𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲

The team had made it back to the Bunker just in time. But to their demise, Emma who was usually the one to patch anyone up was to week. They still had to make a shield before Cassie drained the Diamond of its power.

"Shit guys Emma's to weak to save Cassie."Luisa informed them noticing Emma's tired eyes.

"We have to take her to a hospital." Xander suggested who had the girls blood on him.

"No! How are we supposed to explain this?!" Adira questioned him.

"I don't fucking know! She's dying and we have to save her." He barked back.

"I have an idea...now this is the only time that we are ever gonna do this. Promise me." Alex insisted before everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"We have to take her to my sister, Valerie." Alex suggested as he went to get the essentials she'll need.

"Your sister for real why?!" Ashton asked his friend.

"She's one of the best doctors of the country." Adira paused as she looked at her week breathing friend. "If anyone can save her its Valerie." She assured making everyone reluctantly agree.

So they all got the essential, oxygen, crash cart and anything else Valerie might need.

Valerie Queen was walking up the stairs to her loft with a sleeping Oakley in her hands. She unlocked the door before stepping in and locking it behind her and went upstairs to Oakley's room and placed her in her crib which was just beside her bed.

She walked down stairs and grabbed a bottle of water from her fridge before she heard her doorbell ring.

" Alex hey what's up" she paused when she opened the door to find her younger brother and a few of Central City's so called heroes, one of them on a hospital bed not looking so good.

"Please we need you save her." Shikari pleaded to her sister in her distorted voice before she reluctantly agreed.

She stood aside as Alex, Shikari, Phantom, Blaze and an injured Mage came in. Val got her stethoscope and gloves on quickly. The others stood aside as they let her do her job.

"Alex can you explain to me why Cassie like this?" Valerie asked in slight whisper her brother noticing how Cassie's mask wasn't on due to it being severely damaged.

"Why are you whispering?" Blaze asked her.

"Theres a freaking baby sleeping upstairs." She told them as she placed her stethoscope on her chest and heard the fain heartbeat.

" There was a bomb that was gonna explode and take all of Central City with it." Alex started.

"Cassie managed to absorb all of the energy before it had the chance to implode." Blaze continued.

"What type and how much energy are we taking about here?" Val asked as she placed an oxygen mask on her pumped some into her.

"Futuristic Chemical energy and alot of it." Shikari spoke.

"What do you mean by futuristic?" The blonde asked pumping more energy into the girl.

"We'll explain later."

" Your cells regenerate faster than the average human right?" Val asked as she checked Cassie pulse.

"Yeah...h...how do you know about that?" Phantom stuttered as she watched the doctor.

"How else. I've seen you guys take a beating the average human would need hospital care for and come back the following day without a scratch." Val responded as she checked Cassie's heartbeat again.

"That's fair." Alex mumbled.

"From what I can tell her heartbeat is going back to normal but way to slowly. Her cells need to regenerate faster or else..." Val explained before pausing.

"She'll die." Alex finished making the groups eyes widen.

"We need shots of adrenaline...a lot of them. Once we get them in her system her cells should fix themselves and she'll probably sleep for a couple hours." She told them.

" I think we have some back at the Bunker. You two stay here, Blaze and I will go." Phantom said referring to Shikari and Alex before teleporting out of the loft to the Bunker where the rest of the team was resting.

"Alex...Adira why are you guys involved with them?" Val asked the twins making their ears perk up at the second name.

"How did you know it was me?" Adira asked as she took off her mask.

"You're using the same bow that dad gave you when you first started your archery thing." Val told her as she watched Cassie's heart beat on the heart monitor and held her cold hand while rubbing circles on her palm.

"You guys shouldn't be involved in things like this."

"They're our friends we had to be there for them." Adira told her older sister.

"Why do you think I lost the love of my life and Oakley has lost all 4 of her grand parents?" Val asked the twins as they looked to the ground.

"Let me tell you why the Undertaking really happened." She paused before taking a deep breathe. "Oakley's grandfather, Malcom Merlyn was working with dad to destroy the Glades as a form of revenge for the murder of his wife, Tommy's mom. I think her name was Rebecca. Then the boat went down and mom continued the plan which is why she went to prison last year." She paused as she wiped a tear before starting again.

"The night of the Undertaking Laurel and I were at CNRI. The building started coming down, I got stuck. Laurel couldn't get me out so she went to get help. Tommy found me..." she stuttered as she wiped a tear. "He got me out and he said that he was right behind me. He got impaled by a metal rod and I by the time we found him he was gone. Malcom apparently died that same night. Then mom died recently for reasons that I don't know of. Don't you get it? We're losing members of our family for reasons like this. Why do you think I left Starling, why I go by Queen instead of Merlyn? It would a huge Target on our back and it would put Oakley in danger." She spoke with quivering lips.

" You guys, Oakley, Thea and even my twin brother, your older brother Oliver. Even though he's been a dick ever since he got back. I mean he wasn't at his best friend's nor his own mothers funeral. You're all I got left. Oliver has gone down a path and I don't even recognize him anymore. But please all I ask is that i don't lose you the same way i lost them...please." Valerie begged before Phantom and Blaze returned with a container full of adrenaline injections.

They handed them over to her noticing her rosey cheeks and sent a questioning look to her. Valerie took a few before taking the tablet to check her vitals.

"Its working. Her cells are fixing themselves." She told them before handing over the tablet to them, making them smile.

"Thank you. So much." Phantom thanked the blonde.

" Mama!" A faint call from upstairs called.

"Coming baby!" She responded to her daughter before continuing. " Just make sure she gets plenty of rest, no hero business for a couple days and maybe a few Aspirins every now and then." Val told them as they gathered their medical equipment.

"Thank you, we will. If you need help ever then just let us know." Shikari assured her with a small smile.

"Goodbye doctor Queen." Luisa concluded before teleporting out of there.

3 HOURS LATER

Her eyes opened slowly as she groaned getting the attention of the other people in the room. Luisa's eyes opened noticing her friend had woken up.

"My head hurts like a bitch." Cassie complained as she held her head.

" Oh thank God." Luisa exclaimed before hugging her.

Xander and Bailey toppled onto the two in relief.

"Guys...I need...to breath." Cassie stuttered due to the lack of oxygen.

"Sorry." Bailey apologized as they came off her.

"Don't ever do that again." Luisa lectured.

"I won't." She assured the Hispanic girl.

The group talked for a few more minutes before the girls left to give Xander and Cassie some alone time.

"You really scared me Cas." Xander spoke as he held her hand.

"I'm okay." She assured him.

"Why did you do it? You knew that you would die. Why?" He asked as he looked into her eyes.

"One life instead of 16 is worth it. Plus I'm the only one who can absorb energy like that."

"I...we would've lost you. You can't do stuff like that. We're a team. You don't just take the blow for everyone. We're all in this together." He sighed making Cassie chuckle a bit.

"You guys need to stop quoting high school Musical. And about us being a team, I know we are. I just didn't want to lose you guys again." She explained to him.

"You won't lose me ever. I promise." He assured before kissing the top of her hand making the blonde flustered.

"We both know how good you are at keeping promises." She teased.

"I'll keep this one." He assured making them both laugh.

"We need to talk about..." she started.

"Us...I know. Later though you need to get some rest." He finished before kissing her forehead and leaving the room.

2 DAYS LATER

The field team were preparing for a press conference that the mayor had asked for to thank the secretive heroes. Press and everyone in law enforcement was waiting at City hall.

The smoothed down their suits before Luisa teleported them just out side there.

"Yesterday, on a day that was supposed to be filled with celebration could of ended in tragedy. A bomb in our woods was about to implode but the group of heroes that have been rumored to be stopping robberies to saving me stopped the bomb before anyone got hurt. Now I don't know if you can see this or if you're here but we'd just like to thank you for all the times you've helped everyone." The Mayor spoke on the podium before they appeared behind him startling him slightly.

"Here they are. I hope you're willing to say a few words." He offered before Cassie stepped up and switched on her voice modifier.

"Thank you Mayor Bellows. I'll keep this short and sweet. We just started off as a group of people filled with anger and fear. Then we became something more. We became a team, we became a family. And that family has made an oath. I Mage, Queen B, Phantom, Blaze, Elementis, Surge, Shikari and Atlas." She said as each of them stepped foward when they heard their name.

"Along with the rest of our team in the chairs will protect Central City to our last breathe. So criminals be ware The Allegiance is here to stay. When you need us we'll be there." Cassie concluded before stepping of the podium and walked back to her friends before they huddled into a hug before teleporting out of there.

It wasn't long before that speech was broadcasted on news channels across the city. Hundreds of Central City citizens knew of their existence and it wouldn't be long before the craziest of the criminal minds would come out and try to take them down. They would lose because they're fighting the best of the best.

The Allegiance, a name that had taken quite sometime to agree on but it was the best one, the one with the true meaning.

Allegiance, to be devoted or have loyalty to a person or group. That's exactly what they had to eachother and to their home, even though a few of them weren't originally born there it felt like home and that's all that mattered. Central City wasn't their only home, they had found a home in eachother. It may have only been 8 months since the explosion and so much had happened. Friendships were made and amended. Love was found in the most suprising circumstances. The truth was brought to light in more ways than one but most importantly these 14 Teenagers had managed to fill the void in each of their hearts.

And that's all that mattered.

That's all that mattered.

So here it is. The ending of something that I never thought I'd ever do in my life. I haven't been this proud of something in such a long time and it warms my heart that people actually take interest in the this. Let's talk book two. So the prologue along with cast will come sometime next week but the first official chapter will not be coming until late July due to me wanting focus on my other books such as my Stranger Things Apply Fic ( go apply plss ) and my Jake Peralta fic In The Dark. So feel free to reread this, come up with theories etc.

We will definitely be getting more Luisa and Ashton moments, Cassie and Xander moments and our favorite slow burn babies Gia and Bailey. Valerie will have a rather big role in book two so expect to see alot of her and bubba Oakley Queen-Merlyn

I will be editing this book very, very soon. I'll check up on my grammar since I usually just write then publish and I'll be fixing the layout, I'll be making it similar to my Jake Peralta fic. I'll definitely add gifs. So expect me to unpublish and republish alot of these chapters.

I felt like Allegiance was the best name for them since it really signifies their development.
