"Hajime, come here for a second" his father called him. Iwaizumi slowly made his way to the hall.
"Yes, father?" he bowed a little before looking up. His father and his mother were looking quite happy, and it was probably a good sign.
"You are 18 now, and we think that it's time for you to look for someone, who will share the throne of this kingdom with you" his father spoke.
Ah, Iwaizumi knew that this will come sooner or later. He didn't exactly want to marry yet, but he had to follow the rules, didn't he?
"I though that the last ball proved that there is no woman in this kingdom that interests me" Iwaizumi said in a serious tone, hoping that his parents will leave him alone.
"Who said that you have to choose a woman from this kingdom? Who said it has to be a woman? Hajime, you're free to choose whoever you want. You are strong, responsible and trustworthy, the kingdom loves you. Once you become a king, you'll go down in history as the best king of Iwaizumi kingdom, but you need a companion to support you" his father explained. Iwaizumi nodded, not being able to speak, he didn't exactly expect this.
"I'll... I'll travel then, to find the one. Is that okay with you?" Iwaizumi suggested. His father walked up to him and placed his hand on Iwaizumi's shoulder.
"Of course. Now get going before someone snatches you love away" his father chuckled and smiled at his son. Damn, Iwaizumi could see the assurance in his eyes.
And so prince Iwaizumi Hajime went out on a journey. He took money with him, a rough map and left thd kingdom.
He was feeling free.
His first stop was the kingdom of Hinata. He had to travel through lush forests until he reached a small kingdom, it's orange flags were a symbol of the prince. He was let into the kingdom, he met the king, he met their adorable little son Shoyo and his friend Tobio. Yet, he didn't see anyone that would make his heart skip a beat.
Next up, was the Haiba kingdom. Iwaizumi had been dying to go there as his father had told him billions of stories about it's beauty. And hell, he wasn't lying. Built in between the mountains, surrounded in dense pine forests, covered in pure white snow stood a kingdom.
Iwaizumi took his time exploring it, meeting the locals and buying a few things. He even stopped by a local pub to eat, the people there were more than amazed by Iwaizumi and his stories.
The word there travelled fast and soon the knights came to escort Iwaizumi to the castle.
He saw a handful of stunning women and men, yet the one wasn't there.
He met the king. He was cheerful and nice to Iwaizumi, he met his children. His daughter Alisa, who was 12 at the time, was so impressed by Iwaizumi that she stated that she wants to marry him, although it was a joke Iwaizumi was still happy. His son, Lev, caught Iwaizumi's eye by how reckless he was. He even stole his fathers crown and ran around the castle.
"He'll need someone with a strong sense of responsibility in the future" Iwaizumi told the king.
Once he left the Haiba Kingdom, he headed for the Yaku Kingdom.
He knew the kingdom, he had visited it before, and so he was met with respect and love. He spent a night there aswell, since the king suggested he did.
He met Morisuke under weird circumstances. He just remembers sitting in his room when suddenly someone poked him. He turned to the right and saw a boy.
"God Iwaizumi Hajime" he said with sparkly eyes. Iwaizumi was a bit shocked by that statement.
"I'm not a god" he said calmly and let the little prince sit on his lap.
"But you are my idol" Yaku spoke and hugged Iwaizumi.
Ah, he felt so happy, kids always made him happy. They were walking clouds of happiness and joy. Iwaizumi didn't even notice how Morisuke fell asleep in his hands. The Queen was pretty shocked when Iwaizumi brought Morisuke to her.
Even though he kept travelling he couldn't seem to find anyone, yes there were some that Iwaizumi found beautiful, but outer beauty isn't everything.
Iwaizumi needed someone who would support him, love him and cheerish him.
Was he asking for too much?
It was almost 8 PM when he reached some sort of kingdom, it wasn't on the map.
He got closer and a couple of guards stopped him.
"W-Who are you?" they asked, a bit scared. I mean, everyone would be pretty scared. Iwaizumi looked like a literal god.
"Iwaizumi Hajime, the prince of Iwaizumi Kingdom" he said firmly.
"O-Oh! Please, welcome to the Oikawa Kingdom" the said and the gates opened, revealing a small town with a pretty small castle in a middle of it.
Maybe that's why it wasn't on the map.
Iwaizumi rode slowly through the town, people were staring at him quite weirdly. It wasn't long till he reached the castle.
The guards once again came to greet him, accompanied by the royal family.
"What did we do to deserve such a visit?" The king spoke.
"I'm travelling around at the moment, I thought I'd stop by" Iwaizumi said and smiled.
"Well, it's an honor, we don't really get guests from the kingdoms like yours. I hope you'll enjoy your stay" The queen said and gestured the guards to help Iwaizumi get to his room.
It was true, the Oikawa Kingdom was a small kingdom on the edge of the Blue Rose peninsula, they never really got into wars, it was just a peaceful kingdom.
Iwaizumi was led to his room and he instantly collapsed on the bed, he was tired as hell.
He suddenly heard a knock on the door.
"Yes?" he asked as he sat up.
"May I come in?" a sweet voice asked, it echoed in Iwaizumi's head.
"Yes, of course" Iwaizumi said.
The door opened slowly and then Iwaizumi finally saw what he was searching for.
He walked in elegantly, his blue waistcoat was unbuttoned. He ran his fingers through his soft brown hair and looked at Iwaizumi. His eyes glimmered in the candle light. His pale skin, his lips, his everything... Iwaizumi was stunned. He couldn't say a word.
"I'm Oikawa Tooru, the prince. I heard that the prince of Iwaizumi kingdom arrived, I wanted to meet you" he spoke, his voice was sweeter than anything else.
"I-Iwaizumi Hajime.. It's nice to meet you" Iwaizumi managed to say. He watched as Oikawa got closer to him and sat down beside him.
"I'm glad you decided to come here, maybe you'll say a couple of good words about us once you're back" Oikawa said and smiled.
Iwaizumi could swear he couldn't breathe. That smile....took away his breath, literally.
"I-I will.." Iwaizumi couldn't stop staring, Oikawa was too beautiful, why in the world he didn't know about him till this day?
"How long will you be staying?" Oikawa asked, he noticed a strand of hair on Iwaizumi's forehead and lifted up his arm, he fixed his hair and once he looked at Iwaizumi's face again, he noticed how red he was.
"I-I'm sorry! Did I make you uncomfortable?" Oikawa panicked.
"No... I'll be staying here for around a week.. Maybe.." he said, his cheeks still red.
"Oh, okay then. I'll be sure to tell the king and the queen. For now, please rest!" Oikawa said and practically ran out of the room.
His own heart was beating extremely fast, how could he just pull a move like that?
~~
The next day came and Oikawa was impatient to see Iwaizumi again. There was something about that prince, something exotic. He gave off a strong and reassuring atmosphere.
Iwaizumi walked out of his room and headed to the hall where he was called. Apparently just because he's a prince he must have royal breakfast with the Oikawa family.
He walked there and was met by all of them. He had a chance to choose between two seats. One next to the king and the other next to the prince.
Obviously he sat down next to Oikawa, his instincts were telling him to.
They didn't talk that much, but Iwaizumi couldn't stop glancing at Oikawa, he was well mannered.
"Prince Hajime, what are your plans for today? We heard you're gonna be staying for quite some time" the king spoke.
"Yes, I will be. And I was thinking about exploring the town today" Iwaizumi said. "Though I would need some sort of escort"
"I'll do it!" Oikawa volunteered.
Iwaizumi turned to Oikawa. His cheeks were slightly pink. Their eyes met and Oikawa felt the same spark that he felt yesterday. What was going on with him? He usually rarely leaves the castle and yet he volenteered.
For some reason he wanted to know Iwaizumi better.
After a few more minutes Iwaizumi was ready to go, we was waiting for Oikawa to come. He heard footsteps and looked to his left.
Oikawa was wearing his best and most expensive outfit. It was decorated with silver buttons, the turquoise waistcoat matched his coat. He had his crown in his hair, decorated with emeralds and rubies.
He was stunning.
"Shall we go?" Oikawa asked. Iwaizumi simply nodded and they both walked out of the castle gracefully.
The day was beautiful, sun was shining, though it was kinda chilly, after all the winter was coming. Once they both left the royal grounds they felt relieved.
"Is there anything you'd like to see in particular?" Oikawa asked, his hand brushed against Iwaizumi's and he couldn't help but blush.
"I'd honestly like to see everything" Iwaizumi said and smiled at Oikawa.
They walked in a comfortable silence till they reached the daily fair.
Iwaizumi was stunned by how different everything here was. He especially liked the artists. The paintings were amazing and Iwaizumi couldn't help but buy one.
He noticed Oikawa constantly glancing at something, it was the flower stand. Once he saw what flowers were there he realized why.
They had the usual flowers and the rare orange lilies. Only a few specific kingdoms could grow those. Clearly they were imported from somewhere. Probably the Yaku kingdom since they were the closest.
Iwaizumi walked up to the stand and bought the whole bouquet of them.
"What are y--?" Oikawa couldn't finish his sentence once he saw Iwaizumi offering him the flowers.
"You wanted these, didn't you?" he asked.
Oikawa took the flowers with trembling hands, it felt as if his heart was going to jump out of his chest.
"T-Thank you.." he said and hid his face in the flowers, it was burning red.
The rest of the day came by quickly and the sun started setting. During the day Iwaizumi and Oikawa got to know eachother better.
Iwaizumi realized how overprotective the kingdom was over Oikawa. They didn't let him leave the place, they were against him even stepping the foot out of it.
Oikawa, on the other hand, was amazed by Iwaizumi's stories. He couldn't believe it when he heard how much he has traveled. He was jealous of his strength and experience. He also realized how reliable he is and how loyal he truly is.
They kept talking the whole evening until it was time to sleep. That went on for a couple more days.
They left to the town, spent there all day talking and walking around, and once they came back they would talk more, exchange memories and knowledge.
Iwaizumi told him everything he knew about other kingdoms. During this time they got more comfortable with eachother.
It just so happened that on the fourth day the town was celebrating King's birthday, the whole town turned into one big festival, people were selling stuff, dancing and singing.
Iwaizumi and Oikawa weren't the exception, they sang their hearts out. By now, the whole village loved Iwaizumi. They could see how amazing he was.
It just so happened that they both got dragged into the dance circle. They kept spinning, exchanging dance partners till they met again, they spun around, looking at eachother and laughing.
Iwaizumi's hands found their way around Oikawa's waist and pulled him closer. Oikawa felt his heart beating faster, Iwaizumi was too close.
This much fun came with consequences of course, they came back to the castle tired and a bit tipsy from the local beer. They both wobbled to Iwaizumi's room and fell onto the bed.
"Today was so fun!" Oikawa exclaimed and turned his head to Iwaizumi. He was smiling, his hair was messy and he looked completely adorable.
Oikawa trusted his inner instincts and closed the difference between them, his soft lips pressed against Iwaizumi's rougher ones.
At first Iwaizumi couldn't process what was going on. Oikawa thought that maybe his instincts betrayed him, but Iwaizumi wrapped his arms around him and pulled Oikawa closer, kissing him passionately.
At that moment they both felt something connect them, an invisible bond between them.
The kiss got messier as Oikawa's hands found their way into Iwaizumi's hair, his body felt weak and hot, the sensation was too much.
He felt Iwaizumi bite his bottom lip and once he opened his mouth a tiny bit Iwaizumi's tongue slipped in. Oikawa just lost himself in the kiss, he melted into Iwaizumi's body completely, letting the pleasure wash over him.
Oikawa couldn't really control his body anymore, he didn't care anyway, all that mattered now was the feeling of Iwaizumi's arms wrapped around his delicate body.
Iwaizumi somehow found enough strength to get on top of Oikawa. He unbuttoned his waistcoat and let his inner desires loose.
His lips found their way to Oikawa's jawline, he left a trail of kisses there. His lips then traveled down to Oikawa's neck. He started kissing it and once a small whimper left Oikawa's mouth he realized he found the right spot.
Oikawa was in too much pleasure to realize what was going on, not that it mattered anyway, Iwaizumi was Oikawa's wildest dream, he realized from the moment he saw him that he was attracted to the young and handsome prince.
Iwaizumi left a hickey on Oikawa's neck. If not his still existing consciousness he probably would have lost himself, but he soon realized what he was doing.
He lifted up his head and looked down at the boy underneath him. The view was too good not to enjoy. Oikawa's eyes were partly closed, his cheeks red, he was panting.
"H-Hajime..." was all that he managed to say.
"I'm sorry.. I lost myself.." Iwaizumi apologized.
"It's.. It's fine.. I don't mind if it's you" Oikawa said and Iwaizumi felt his heart stop.
Oikawa was truly the one.
~~
And so the last day came.
Oikawa couldn't lie, he was going to miss Iwaizumi.
It was morning and Iwaizumi was preparing for his trip back.
"Iwaizumi... You'll come for a visit.. Right?" Oikawa asked as he peeked inside the room.
Iwaizumi gestured him to come closer. He wrapped his strong arms around him and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Why don't you come with me?" Iwaizumi suggested.
Oikawa's eyes widened.
"Would you really take me with you?!" he asked as he got extremely excited.
"Of course, I would take you to the Iwaizumi kingdom and never let you come back here" Iwaizumi spoke in a sweet tone.
"I'm gonna ask my father, though I don't think he'll agree, unless I have a good reason to leave" Oikawa pouted.
"Then just tell him why you want to leave" Iwaizumi reassured him. "If anything, I'll come back to steal you from this place, my adorable prince"
Oikawa nodded and ran out of the room, he headed straight for the hall. Of course his father was there, talking with thr knights.
"F-Father! May I speak to you!?" He exclaimed.
The king ordered the knights to leave the hall and sat down in his throne.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I... I want to go with Iwaizumi Hajime" he said, his voice cracked a few times due to stress.
"What?" the king asked confused.
"I want to go to the Iwaizumi Kingdom with him, I want to travel" he said and waited for the answer. Of course Oikawa knew his answer.
"No way, you are staying here. Why would I let you go anyways?!" his father yelled.
Oikawa clenched his fists, Iwaizumi was on his mind. Maybe he should come clean and tell his father the truth?
"Father, excuse me for my rudeness, but I want to go. I have the right to leave this kingdom! Why you ask? Because I want to see the world! You never let me go anywhere! I want to meet other people, I want to visit other kingdoms! I... I want to be with Iwaizumi! He's the one, he is the one that I love!" Oikawa finally yelled out.
"Enough! Go to your room!" his father screamed.
Oikawa ran out of the hall, but Iwaizumi wasn't in his room anymore, his father must have ordered the guards to escort Iwaizumi out of the kingdom.
And that was true.
Iwaizumi was standing by the gate of the castle when the king approached him.
"I, of course, appreciate your stay here, but don't come back. Because of you my son isn't normal anymore" the king said in a despiteful tone.
Iwaizumi could feel his rage building up, but he held back from killing the king right there and right now.
He just simply nodded and stormed out of the kingdom, he headed straight home.
Obviously he wasn't going to leave Oikawa in that hell hole, especially now that the king knew how Oikawa felt about him.
He pulled an all-nighter to get home. The kingdom greated him with a festival, everybody was glad that the prince came back.
He rushed to the castle and practically stormed into the main hall.
"Father! Mother!" he exclaimed as soon as he stepped in.
"Hajime! You are back! So, did you find anyone?" his mother rushed to him.
"Yes, yes I did" Iwaizumi said as he caught his breath.
"Well, who is it?" his father asked impatiently.
"Oikawa Tooru, the prince of the Oikawa Kingdom" he said. His parents smiled at him.
"Well? Where is he?" they both tilted their heads.
"That's the problem, he is practically trapped inside his kingdom. The only way to get him is to... Is to declare war. They're a small fry, they'll lose in instant" Iwaizumi finally stood up straight.
"So you want us to declare war on them, in order to get Oikawa Tooru?" the king asked.
Iwaizumi nodded. He didn't really expect his parents to agree, they weren't the type to fight.
"Okay, let's do just that" his father spoke, next thing he knew was Iwaizumi pulling him into a hug and thanking him.
The next day consisted of them getting ready. They weren't going to send their whole army there, but at least the half of it. Of course, Iwaizumi hoped that the king would get scared and just give him his beloved one.
Iwaizumi picked up his armor and walked outside. He greeted the generals and jumped onto his horse.
His father decided to let Iwaizumi handle this one. He wanted to see how Iwaizumi will behave. He was better than he expected.
One thing Iwaizumi didn't know was that his father sent a letter to the Oikawa kingdom where he told them about the army's coming. Just so the king has time to think.
The army set out and the next morning Oikawa kingdom was woken up by the sound of hundreds of horses approaching. The king quickly ran outside and was stunned by the view.
Iwaizumi was in front, four generals behind him and an army of a few hundred were waiting for him.
King realized how much of the trouble he was in.
Iwaizumi started approaching him. Once he was about 10 feet away from him he jumped off his horse.
"King Oikawa, I think you know what is happening" Iwaizumi smirked at him.
"W-Why are you doing this?!" the king panicked. After all, Oikawa Kingdom had only about 200 men in their army.
"I promised Tooru I would come back for him" Iwaizumi said and took out his sword.
He pressed it to the kings neck and glared at him.
"Give him to me or I'll slit your throat right here, right now" Iwaizumi wasn't kidding, he was ready to cross the oceans, climb the mountains and go against the whole army alone to get Oikawa.
The king looked at the terrifting prince.
"Will.. Will you take care of him?" he asked with a shaky voice.
"I'll protect him with my life" Iwaizumi said.
The king nodded and ordered his small army to retriet. Iwaizumi did the same, he gestured the generals to go back, everybody was glad that the war didn't happen.
Iwaizumi rushed to the castle and straight into Oikawa's room.
Oikawa was shocked to see Iwaizumi standing there, but he knew that his prince was here to save him.
"Hajime!" he screamed as he jumped into his arms, their lips found the way to one another.
"I'm taking you home" Iwaizumi said as he pressed his forehead against Oikawa's and looked straight into his eyes. They were full of happiness and joy.
Oikawa picked his best outfit and left the castle, his father even bowed down to Iwaizumi.
"The Iwaizumi kingdom will protect this place from now on" was all that he said to the king.
And so Iwaizumi and Oikawa left the kingdom, for the first time Oikawa saw how everything looked.
They went by the Yaku kingdom, Iwaizumi made sure to let Oikawa run around in the field of orange lilies. They passed the Haiba kingdom until the Iwaizumi kingdom was insight.
Oikawa couldn't believe what he was seeing, it was the most beautiful place ever.
They stopped at the beautiful lake. The water there was so clear that you could see even the tiniest pebbles.
"Hey Tooru.." Iwaizumi said as he stood in front ofbOikawa and took his hands.
"What is it?" Oikaw asked, he could somehow feel how hard Iwaizumi's heart was beating.
"I travelled a lot. The reason I travelled was because I wanted to find the one. I wanted to find the love of my life. The first time I saw you, I knew - you are the one. I cannot even describe the feeling. Oikawa Tooru, I love you with everything I have. I would give my life away for you. And I know that we have only know eachother for extremely short amount of time, but I know that my feelings will never change. Would you honor me and become the king of Iwaizumi kingdom?" Iwaizumi proposed.
Oikawa pulled Iwaizumi into a hug and yelled out a big yes before kissing him passionately.
The news spread quickly and soon all the kingdoms around knew about them, a lot of them were in shock.
Iwaizumi Kingdom celebrated for a whole week, congratulating the new kings.
And soon everybody knew who The Great Iwaizumi Kings were.
