Matilda Hatter's POV

She could hardly breathe as she heard the sirens of the police and medics. Tilly stood at the entrance of Ever After High, watching the ambulance carry away the unconscious body of Cressida Lockes. When they passed the Forever Bridge, Tilly flinched and turned away, disturbed. Lately, it felt as if she barely knew her sister at all, and now there was another crisis.

"Matilda!" AJ called out, running up to her. Behind him, Tilly spotted Headmaster Grimm and Detective Pois talking in hushed voices. Tilly remembered what Hadie and Normandy had informed them of on the groupchat. "God, I just managed to escape those two and the cops."

"What happened?"

"They kept questioning me since I was the last person who interacted with Honey, plus I was with her when she... I don't know what's happening to Cressida," he said, shaking his head. He was anxious, Tilly noticed. "They think she had a non-neurological seizure, but she doesn't have a medical history. She isn't waking up, so they're starting to think there's foul play."

"Detective Pois or Grimm?" Tilly asked, eyeing Grimm with disdain.

"Bryony Pois thinks they should open up Honey's case, which means delaying the closing of Claudia's. Headmaster Grimm isn't too happy about it, he's eager to close both cases now." AJ sighed, rubbing his eyes. "This day is going horribly."

"Is Honey..." Tilly didn't know how to feel about Cressida Lockes just yet, but she didn't deserve to die. She had a passion for journalism like no other, it was apparent that Grimm's nonsense comment only drove her further.

"She isn't dead, but..." AJ let out a final sigh. "Let's just pray they get to the hospital on time."

Tilly couldn't believe it, Claudia was gone and now Honey was fighting for her life. Now, their suspicions were confirmed, someone was trying to harm Ever After High students. But why? She suspected that the Companion was behind Cressida's misfortunate.

AJ tossed a glance over his shoulder before guiding Tilly somewhere they couldn't be heard. He got something out of his pocket—it was a mini notebook. "Before Honey blacked out, she told me to get this out of her coat's pocket. She told me it must be about Claudia." He flipped through the pages and Tilly tilted her head. "It's... Whoa..."

Tilly took Honey's notebook from AJ's hands, surprised. Each page was filled with Cressida's cursive handwriting, all of her words were of Claudia. Each page was marked with a different theory, ranging from the suicide theory to the murder one. "Wait, does Honey know the Companion?"

"Apparently so."

"Honey's notebook might just be the missing key we've been searching for."

Jace Kane's POV

Jace closed his dorm door before turning around. "If Grimm catches us all in my room, he'll suspend us all," he hissed as all of the Wonderlandian kids tried to sit around his cramped dorm room. "So don't be loud." He directed that to Matilda and Cadien.

Adelaide compared Claudia's diary with Cressida's notebook. "I have no idea how Honey came up with all of these theories on what happened to Claudia, but damn," she said, stunned. "Honey really did her homework, the writing keeps going on and on..."

"I guess she was feeling a bit guilty after refusing to take down the article about Claudia," Jace guessed as he sat down next to Carmelo. "Pass it, will you?" Jace cleared his throat as he read aloud, "'Entry Ten: I'm starting to find a new lead, I don't think Hatter's death was planned suicide anymore. Talked with suspect, Erzulie Facilier, new theory—she was drugged with Moly herb. Will speak to Detective Bryony Pois. Researching after effects of Moly, cross-referencing with Hatter tox report.' That's all for Entry Ten."

"I can't fathom the fact that Honey had a whole journal of her theories," Bea said, crossing her arms. "But how can we believe what she says? She's Honey after all."

"True, her sources will have to be verified," Jace agreed. "But it's a start."

"What part did it mention the Companion?" Hailee-Diane asked curiously.

Jace resumed reading. "'Entry Eleven: Broke into Detective Pois' office, I found a drawing of madness and scribbles. Just faintly—I believe the police missed it—there are the words 'Companion.' Will start to research Old Riddlish. List of suspects.'" Suddenly, he stopped, horrified by what he saw on the page.

"What's wrong?" Normandy asked.

List of suspects:

Carmelo Spades.

Adelaide Hearts.

Pending; tba.

And it was Camerlo's name that was underlined.

Carmelo Spades' POV

They stood at the edge of the firepit, Camerlo couldn't stop staring at the flames. He glanced at Jace, who held the page of Honey's notebook in his trembling hands. Earlier that night, Jace had lied and said discreetly torn the page that had been Honey's list of suspects. They were going to burn it; no one else would ever learn of it.

"It's just a list," Carmelo told Jace softly. His throat ran dry. "Do you not trust me?"

"I do. But this?" Jace held up the list of suspects where Carmelo's name was underlined. They both understood how bad he looked in this situation. "I'm not taking any chances. I have no idea how Honey found out about..."

"We were sloppy, someone was going to find out eventually."

Jace pursued his lips. "They'll trial you for it, lock you up, and slash off your head."

"Then I deserve it."

"You don't."

"I committed a crime and then covered it up, Jace."

"It was a silly mistake." Jace was referring to the Incident, that's what they called it, back in Wonderland. The one thing they'd never speak of. They hooked pinkies—they had gotten matching tattoos—and Jace approached the fire. "There's nothing I wouldn't do for you, Carmelo." The page was brought closer to the flames.

Camerlo swallowed hard. "I know."

Suddenly, the door to the Student Lounge was thrown open. "Go, go, go!" Detective Pois' voice roared as dozens of policemen entered. Before Carmelo knew it, they seized him, pinning every limb of his. "Grab the other one too," Pois ordered as they took ahold of Jace. What in the world is going on? Carmelo struggled against their grip-hold.

"Stop, let us go!" Jace hollered, as his arms were held against this back. "You can't do this to us, we'll sue your asses, everyone in the room is dead—" He was slammed against the wall and cuffed.

Camerlo was horrified. "What's the meaning of this?" He could barely speak. His karma had come for him, they had found out about the Incident, didn't they? And now they're taking Jace down for it too. "Please, let him go, he's innocent! It was all me!" he cried out.

"Wait, what? Carmelo, no," Jace bit out. "Stop, this is all insanity—"

Headmaster Grimm stepped into the Student Lounge, standing side-by-side with Detective Bryony Pois. "Mr. Spades, Mr. Kane," he greeted curtly, hands clasped. Carmelo stared at him, dumbfounded.

"Why the hell are we being restrained for?" Jace yelled, upset.

"We have probable cause to believe you were involved with an incident with a student today," Pois said, grabbing the list of suspects from Jace's hands. She held it up, her eyes boring into Carmelo's. "Does the term Deadly Nightshade remind you of anything?"

Carmelo was speechless. "Yes, but I..." All of a sudden, handcuffs were placed on them by Detective Pois. "Wait, wait, no, please—"

"Carmelo Spades, you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Cressida Lockes."

A/N: Oh shit, things just got real! Also, please put down your oc's theories and suspects for who the killer is. Remember, it can be multiple people or different people for each crime. So POSSIBLY, a different person could have killed Claudia and tried to hurt Cressida. THIS IS MANDATORY AND WILL AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THE STORYLINE & YOUR OC.

This must be done ASAP, please give details and reasons why your oc would think this way! And for those who think it's the Weaver, remember that no one really know who they are or that they exist. Only two characters know of the Weaver right now, maybe three if you count Cadien snooping around.
