When I used to think about the future it wasn't something that made me happy. Before the BAU all I saw was darkness enveloping me whole, there was nothing but an endless void waiting for me. I would be alone, plagued with what could've been, if I had just opened myself up a bit more would I be stuck with the misery that is my life? No matter how much I tried to ignore my thoughts of the future, they would always be there, circling my brain like a hawk.

Inside, I wanted to be happy, to have a life worth living, not the closed off life that was envisioned for me. And with the fateful day that I joined the BAU, that vision began to gain  color. It was no longer a cold and dark place, it was warm and filled with hopeful colors. The BAU gave me a family that I thought I had lost so many years ago, they gave me hope and kindness. The closed off Harper I knew slowly began to blossom into the Harper I've always wanted to be. Because of my new family, my future's never looked so inviting.
