Out of respect, Harley kept her chin up and her hands held loosely in front of her. The funeral ritual was beginning, and it was what she expected. She was stricken with sorrow, her gaze focused on the ceremony before her. Finn's body, all wrapped up, was laid out on a pile of branches, and leaning against them was more bodies, equally wrapped up. Harley didn't have to see any of their faces to know that it was a terrible mix of deceased men, women and children. She inhaled shakily, fighting back the tears that threatened to pour from the overwhelming emotions.

"Kru kom Tomdisi," Lexa announced, her voice clear and loud. "Gon faya, osir wada klin de laudness kom de foutaim." (People on Tondc. In fire, we cleanse the pain of the past.)

From behind Octavia and Harley, Lincoln repeated in a quiet mumble what Lexa had said in English in translation to make it clear. "People on Tondc. In fire, we cleanse the pain of the past."

A lit torch was passed over to Lexa, the red and orange flames highlighting her features. She held it in the air for a second, before holding it out into the direction of Clarke. "Clarke," she said, simple, giving her the option to do so. The grounders grew restless, quietly whispering to each other, only silenced when Clarke brushed aside her hesitation and grasped the torch.

It was easy to see the tears welling in Clarke's eyes as she held the torch downwards, brushing the flames to the branches. "Yu gonplei ste odon," she uttered, voice cracking and soft with emotion. (Your fight is over.)

It didn't take long for the flames to spread quickly. Harley watched as they flickered at first, beginning small, before more of the structure was engulfed in flames. The corpses burned as well, and Harley watched, saddened as they became black with soot. She let her eyelids flutter shut, feeling a single tear stream down her cheek. Harley supposed that she would have to get used to people dying, as so many had done.

It may be an easy cycle to get used to, Harley figured, when the two seperate people had gathered into the dining hall for a feast. She had wished they'd more so come together, be true allies, but understood there was still hesitation. After all, they had been fighting a war since the dropship had landed. Instead, the grounders remained on one side of the long table and Harley with her people remained on the other. She stood with a warm smile in between Clover and Abby, hands clasped together, staring back at the grounders who only retaliated with sharp narrowing eyes.

From the other side of Abby, Kane unwrapped a clear bottle that Harley recognized rather quickly as moonshine. "Please accept this gift, Commander," Kane offered, holding the drink out into Lexa's direction. "We drink this at special occasions. I believe this qualifies."

Lexa glanced towards the bottle wearily before giving Gustus a nod. He took over for her, accepting the bottle from Kane and handling it as if it was a bomb before passing it to Lexa. "Thank you, Marcus of the sky people," she said graciously.

Smiling in response, Kane nodded. "You're welcome, Lexa kom Trikru." (Lexa of the tree people.) Harley smiled a bit wider, glad that it was going so well, and they were acting the most civil since she had landed. It was all she had hoped for. "Just uh, don't drink too much of it," he warned.

"Clarke, let us drink together," Lexa proposed.

"It would be my pleasure," Clarke responded, humble.

Two glasses were set on the table, and Lexa had went to fill each of them gracefully. She had picked the goblets up, leaning over to pass one to Clarke who graciously accepted. "Heda," Gustus spoke up before either could take a sip. "Allow me." The cup was handed to him, and he took a single sip. Harley expected it, knowing that Gustus was Lexa's protector, and they were not willing to take any chances, especially with the people who were once their enemy.

But, as Harley knew, nothing happened in the second they paused. Gustus passed the glass back over to Lexa, who raised it in cheers. "Today we celebrate our peace, tomorrow we plan our war," she announced. "To those we've lost and to those we shall soon find." Harley was touched by the admirable speech, but the feeling didn't last long, as it never had.

All of a sudden, Gustus collapsed, falling forward onto the table before Clarke had a chance to lift her glass. Harley's jaw dropped in surprise, and she felt herself nearly leap from the crashing sound. He suddenly backed up, choking and spluttering as his back hit the wall. Bellamy was quick to knock the cup out of Clarke's hand, as the grounders raced to help Gustus. Indra ripped her sword out of her sheath, waving it towards her enemy as she made her accusation. "This was the sky people!"

Harley's mind was whirring with thoughts, barely processing what was happening, until it began clicking. Lexa's cup was poisoned, and Gustus was paying the price. She couldn't even start to wonder how it happened. She stumbled back, getting out of the way. Clover had her arm in front of her in seconds, protective as Bellamy shoved the table aside, shielding Clarke and his defenseless people from the swords and weapons pointing at them. "This wasn't us!" Clarke exclaimed, desperately and holding her hands up in defense. "You have to know this wasn't us!"

Ignoring her, Lexa commanded. "Nou teik in em wan op!" (Don't let him die!)

Meanwhile, Indra who still kept her sword pointed forward shouted over the commotion. "En au! Pad daun emo!" (Everybody out! Search them!)

Harley couldn't understand what was being said, but she caught on in fright when the grounders crossed over and began grabbing her people. She was roughly shoved against the wall, letting out a scared shout of surprise, before burly hands were being patted over her clothing. She could hear the others shouting over the uproar, especially Clover, and Clarke and Lexa arguing. She was frozen in place as the empty pockets of her jacket were checked, before the pressure was being lifted off of her and she slowly turned around. Harley's eyes were wide and terrified, before Clover was done being searched and she was by her side in a second.

"Are you alright?" Clover asked worriedly, her gloved hands reaching up to cup Harley's face, searching for signs of her panic escalating. Harley weakly nodded, lifting her hand to grasp her wrists, needing the solace.

One of the grounders searching Raven made a discovery, holding up a small bottle. "That's not mine!" Raven shouted, catching Harley's attention.

The bottle was passed to Lexa, who turned it in her hand, quietly studying it. "Dison don kamp raun em oukou." (This was in her coat.)

"I'm telling you it's not mine!" Raven exclaimed, defending herself. "He put it there when he searched me!"

It was quiet, and Harley could practically feel the tense weight in the air before it was broken by Lexa. The shout made her flinch, nearly covering her ears. "No sky person leaves this room!" The order was left behind as she stormed out of the dining hall, her cape whipping behind her and making the grounders follow after her.

Harley knew she was desperate. Raven was her friend, and she believed her when she said she didn't do it. She couldn't let anyone else die, but her weak voice wouldn't be enough to defend against warriors. Instead, she dashed forward, grabbing Lincoln's sturdy arm. He turned his head, tall enough to have to look down at the small girl with blue eyes full of fear. "Please, do something," Harley begged, her voice breaking in the plead.

Understanding, Lincoln nodded before calling out to Indra, the last grounder in the room. "Indra! Indra, hod op! Teik ai chich op kom emo," he said, pleading as much as Harley. (Indra! Indra, wait! Let me speak for them!)

The venomous look on Indra's face was enough to make Harley shrink back, before she was speaking, practically spitting out the words. "Yu sou laik emo." (You are them.)

━━━━━━━━

There was a nauseous feeling in the pit of Harley's stomach as she pressed her back against the stonewall, her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. She drew in a slow, long breath, allowing herself to calm down. After Indra slammed the door shut, they were left in a deafening silence. Nobody knew what to do. Harley wasn't brave, and she was wondering why she had even insisted to tag along in the first place. But, then she remembered. It was a gathering speaking on the terms of peace, what she's always wanted. Unfortunately, it was ruined in only seconds.

Harley heard footsteps before she felt the presence of Clover, sliding down the wall beside her. She picked her head up, seeing a timid smile on the others face, but it was one that she couldn't return. "Was it stupid?" She whispered. "To think we could actually have peace?"

Giving Harley a pitiful look as she tilted her head, Clover outstretched her hand and set her palm over her hand. It felt warm, and she did her best not to cry again. "Of course not," she said softly, assuring her. "Everyone needs your optimism. It's what keeps everyone's spirits lifted, peach pit." Harley weakly smiled, convincing herself it was the truth. "You're so sweet, Harley. I don't think it makes you stupid or weak."

"Thank you," Harley said in a mumble, unsure of how else to respond. Before she could say more, there was the sound of skin meeting skin echoing in the room. Her head whipped to the side, finding the source of the noise.

Clarke was clutching the side of her face, hurt, and Raven holding her fists clenched at her sides. "You're the only murderer here!" She cried out. Harley was quick to pull herself onto her feet, racing over in worry.

However, the fight didn't escalate. Instead, Clarke stared straight forward at the wall, tears pricking her eyes, and ignoring the injury from Raven's punch. "Leave me alone," she whispered, beginning to pant. "You gave me no choice. Why did you turn yourself in?" Lost, Harley looked over her shoulder, unable to see anything. It didn't take a genius to know what she was thinking, or, hallucinating. Harley felt the despair again, thinking of Finn, who as of now died for nothing.

As Abby moved to check on her daughter, gently ushering her away to a seat, Harley put her hand on Raven's shoulder, over her red jacket. "It'll be okay," she said softly, the words seeming to strike Raven with how light the voice was. "We're going to figure this out and get you safe. But we can't turn on each other." If they did, they were weaker, regardless how upset they were with one another, they had to work together. Believing Harley, she nodded, resuming to fixing her leg brace.

Ready to move on, possibly back to her sitting position, Harley was stopped suddenly when Clarke had began shouting. Her mother was kneeling in front of her, trying to calm her but to no avail. "I didn't have a choice!" Clarke exclaimed loudly and emotionally, despite Abby's protests. "You did! You turned him in!"

Abby shook her head desperately. "I trusted Thelonious to talk to your father and convince him not to go public!" She tried to explain.

"You knew dad would never stop!" Clarke accused. "You knew what would happen to him!"

"I was protecting everyone too!" Abby retorted. "I was protecting you!"

Clarke glared at her mother in disbelief, before standing and pushing herself away despite Abby's pleas. Harley tried not to listen, repeating her earlier words to Raven in her head, convincing herself that this was nothing they couldn't work through if they pulled together.

As if he was thinking like Harley, Kane followed Clarke some time later and sat next to her on steps with his hands clasped together. "Lexa needs this alliance just as much as we do," he said. "She's shown herself to be flexible. She listens to you."

"She thinks we tried to kill her," Clarke pointed out.

"We know we didn't," Kane noted. "So let's figure out who did. Who would want her dead?" The questioned was directed to the rest of the group more so, asking for everyone's opinion, like a rightful leader should.

Lincoln answered first. "Too many to count. Forming an alliance was a risk, especially with what Finn did at this village," he explained. Harley chewed her lower lip, pressing her palms on top of the table as she did her best to think hard.

"So it had to be someone trying to break the alliance," Octavia suggested.

"That doesn't narrow it down, though," Harley remarked. She remembered how the grounders glared despite her warm smile. "A lot of her people didn't want this alliance." Octavia sighed, knowing she was right. Before they could think any further, the door to the room swung open and Harley slowly straightened when seeing Nyko and Indra pour in.

"How's Gustus?" Lincoln asked worriedly.

"Gustus is okay," Nyko responded hesitantly.

Indra stormed forward, a pair of guards trailing after her. "Teik em we," she ordered. (Take her away.)

Harley lurched forward when they stepped to Raven, but Bellamy got there first, putting his hand on the grounders chest. "She didn't poison anyone!" He defended Raven firmly.

"I argued for all of you to die," Indra stated. "But the Commander is merciful. She wants only one."

"She's innocent," Lincoln declared seriously.

Gritting her teeth, Indra stepped down the stairs in an angry way. "I don't care! They move, they bleed!"

The grounders shoved past Bellamy, each grasping Raven by an arm. "Hey, no!" Harley protested, grabbing his elbow to attempt and pull him back. "Please, let her go!" She begged. But her small frame was nothing compared to his build, and he shoved her aside easily, dragging Raven out of the room.

"The rest of you are free," Indra informed them. "When she is dead, so is the alliance." She paused, her lower lip curling as she narrowed her dark eyes before giving them one final warning. "You should run."
