β•°β”ˆβž€ In a small garage at the Privet Drive street lived a little girl. Her aunt and uncle put her there for her bedroom, since there was no room in the house. The small space was decorated nicely - despite uncles protest. The girl got Dudley's old bed, that she painted over herself. She stole it from a local store, but the cashier didn't even try to catch her. There was a white, quiet small desk for doing homework, next to her bed. While the girl put everything she thought would make the room comfier on the shelfes under the desk. Including books - which covered most of the place. At the top of the table was a, once again, stolen candle scent vanilla.

However, the walls were in between yellow and cream color. It was for now plain and had nothing on them, but the girl wanted to cover it with posters and all sorts of things. She hated being here. That doesn't mean that she needs to live in a hole. For all these aesthetics and stealing, the brunette got punished. To which she didn't care at all. They were always acting like that towards her and Harry. It was nothing new, so they got used to it.

Waking up from her sleep, Maliah looked at the time. Eight in the morning. Great, she thought. Another boring and repeating day. First, breakfast with Dursley's. Second, being yelled at all the time. Third, clean the house. Fourth, be quiet. Fifth, lunch time. Sixth, go to your room till dinner. Seventh, dinner if the Dursely's don't go to a restaurant. Eight, sleep. Those were the only things both twins did every day.

Maliah on the other hand never listened to them. There were many secrets being hidden from her relatives. A place where she goes most of the nights when she sneaks out works till midnight. They all fall asleep at about 9 o'clock, which gives the girl an opportunity to go there and practice. Ice skating was an escape from reality - well from Dursley's, at least. She still hasn't got her real ice skates, but she plans on buying it when she gets older. For now the rental ones work.

That was her plan for tonight. Even if it was summer outside, they had a closed ice rink. To which Maliah thought was a blessing. Harry never goes with her - scared of getting caught. They would before catch him than her, because he's in the same house. Also, they sometimes lock his door under the stairs.

Making her way inside the house through the front door, Maliah was met with a pair of green eyes. Harry was wearing his usual round glasses and his hair in a mess. While for clothes he had a black shirt and checkered cardigan over it. However the boy was holding a pile of papers - letters. It was a mail day, so Maliah assumed he was sent to get them.

"Who writes them this much?" The brunette girl walked up next to Harry, peaking over his shoulder. Seeing how he's going through letters - one of them being a post card. Probably from uncle Vernon's sister. Maliah made a grossed out face at the thought of the woman.

"I have no clue, but they probably aren't as good." Suddenly, they both stared at the two letters they came across. On one was written: π™Όπš›. 𝙷. π™Ώπš˜πšπšπšŽπš›, πšƒπš‘πšŽ π™²πšžπš™πš‹πš˜πšŠπš›πš πšžπš—πšπšŽπš› πšπš‘πšŽ πš‚πšπšŠπš’πš›πšœ, 𝟺, π™Ώπš›πš’πšŸπšŽπš π™³πš›πš’πšŸπšŽ, π™»πš’πšπšπš•πšŽ πš†πš‘πš’πš—πšπš’πš—πš, πš‚πš„πšπšπ™΄πšˆ. While on the other: π™Όπš›πšœ. 𝙼. π™Ώπš˜πšπšπšŽπš›, πšƒπš‘πšŽ π™ΆπšŠπš›πšŠπšπšŽ πš’πš— πšπš‘πšŽ π™±πšŠπšŒπš”πš’πšŠπš›πš, 𝟺, π™Ώπš›πš’πšŸπšŽπš π™³πš›πš’πšŸπšŽ, π™»πš’πšπšπš•πšŽ πš†πš‘πš’πš—πšπš’πš—πš, πš‚πš„πšπšπ™΄πšˆ.Β

They both looked at each other in surprise and Harry handed Maliah's letter to her. The girl took it and flipped to other side. There was a weird logo and at the top was written Hogwarts. There was a slight smile tugging at the corner of Maliah's face. Though Harry whispered a 'what' under his breath. After a while, the girl took off her shoes and left them in the hallway.

"Well, we better go inside the kitchen." Harry stated slowly walking towards the doors at the other side of the room. Still examining the letter he got. Maliah followed close behind, not trying for it to seem like she woke up later than she actually did.

Walking inside the girl saw the usual. Aunt Petunia was cooking something, having her flowersih apron on. Dudley was at the table already having aomething in his plate, watching their every move. While uncle Vernon was sitting next to his son, grabbing the letters Harry had handed him. Maliah sat down next to uncle, where she always sat. Still holding the letter - now watching where Dudley's looking.

"Marge is ill. Ate a funny whelk." Uncle Vernon read the post card in his hands. Well desereved, Maliah thought to herself. Suddenly Harry's letter was snatched from his grip - by Dudley.

"Dad, look! Harry's got a letter!" The boy their age immediately handed it to his father. Petunia put a hand on her hip hearing the news. While uncle Vernon, stared with gaping mouth. This almost made Maliah laugh. To which Dudley also pointed at thr girl.
"Maliah too!"

"Oh shut up, Doodles" The brunette whispered under her breath, annoyed. Uncle Vernon snatched the letter from her hands. She rolled her eyes and sighed. "It's mine!" Harry's yell could be heard.

"Yours? Who'd be writing to you?" The older man chuckled while his family leaned om his shoulders to see what is it about. When they turned the letter, their faces changed. Maliah thought she saw fear in their eyes.

Harry and Maliah gave each other a confusing look. Why are they scared? It's just a normal letter from someone, right?

✷

β•°β”ˆβž€ Over the past week the same letters were delievered over and over again. Each time uncle Vernon would burn them or tear them to pieces. He was slightly going crazy though. There was a piece of wood on the opening in the door - where letters were going through. However, that didn't stop them. The letters started to pile up in front of their door. Whoever it was, didn't plan on stopping soon.

Maliah has never seen her relatives in this kind of state. They were acting scared and paranoid. Especially the uncle. They acted like someone's trying to kill them. It's hilarious in some type of way, Maliah thought. From that day, they didn't yell at Harry nor Maliah. Being too focused on removing the letters than anything - anyone else. Curiousity was killing the girl inside her. She wanted to know what was in the letter that was so importnat. How do they even know Harry and Maliah, when they don't have friends really? Thanks to Dudley, of course. He made sure to turn everyone against them.Β

An hour passed from lunch and everyone was sitting in the living room - except Harry. He was holding a plate of cookies and serveing them. Maliah threw a cookie crumb on her twin, making him move to try and dodge it. The girl chuckled. "You shoul've catched it with your mouth, Harry." The boy shook his head and watched as Petunia grabbed the cookie from the plate, alongside Dudley.

"Fine day, Sunday. In my opinion, best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley?" Suddnely Uncle Vernon's voice spoke up. The old mens hair was all messed up and he had a crazy smile on his face. It looked like he was going crazy - literally. Maliah turned her attention to the left side of the room. Watching as her uncle looked at his son. That just shurgged and continued to talk with his mother.

"Because there's no post on Sundays?" Harry spoke up placing the plate full of cookies in front of Vernon. Who immediately took the cookie, not hesitating. "Right you are, Harry! No posts on Sunday. No blasted letters today! No, sir. Not one single bloody letter. Not one!"

Harry suddenly looked out the window and frowned. Ignoring his uncles words he came closer to the window, drawing away the curtains. The way he took his time into watching something outside, made Maliah stood up from the place and join him. Outside were hundreds of owls, all staring at their house. Which was weird, since owls are usually awake at night. The young twins admired the look and were curious at what was happening.

A thud was heard, they turned around to see a letter has fallen down the chimney and slammed om Vernon's face. A loud shake was heard a felt through the house. Dudley grabbed onto his mothers hands. Maliah and Potter watched and waited for something to happen. Uncle Vernon made an angry face seeing as the paper he's been talking about for hours hit him.

Thousends of letters started bursting out of the chimmney. All of them covering their heads and trying to move them away so they don't get hit. Harry looked up and grinned. Jumping on the small table in the living room, Harry tried to grab one of the letters. While Maliah started laughing at Dudley. He was in his mothers lap, at the earge of crying.

Seeing as Harry succeeded into grabbing the letter, uncle Vernon stood up and went after him. "Give me that! Give me that letter!" Maliah widened her eyes and ran after them. Not knowing what that lunatic was going to do to her brother. Petunia and Dudley following close behind. They were rather go and watch, not stop.

"They're my letters! Let go of me!" Harry tried to push uncle Vernon away from him. As more letters entered the house. "Leave my brother alone! What's wrong with you?" The young girl tried to scream, but they were muffled by the sound of paper. Both of them stumbled backwards and landed on the ground. Harry still tryibg to get out if his grip. Maliah grabbed his hand and started to pull him away from Vernon.

"That's it! We're going away! Far away, where they can't find us!" Maliah succeeded and fixed Harry's hair and glasses. Uncle Vernon stayed sitting on the ground - with a letter in his hands. "Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?" Dudley yelled frughtened.

You think?, the girl answered him in her head.

β•°β”ˆβž€ A thunder made both kids flinch on the floor. The Dursley's packed their stuff the same afternoon and made them come to this old house. The house was made of stone, but had moisture. Probably because it was in a small island and the waves were hitting the house once in a while. Not to mention how cold it was. There was no lit fire. The floors were dusty, but the twins were forced to sleep on them. Their aunt and uncle was upstairs sleeping in a king sized bed, while their cousin was at the couch next to where they were laying.

At least they had blankets, if nothing. The pajamas were getting dirtier - but a little brush if hands could make the clean again. It was just dust, not any dirt or something like that. Mariah wondered why would they even have this house. Firstly, it's old and they don't even take care of it. However, they can brag about having two houses. Sadly it doesn't cover up the fact they are horrible people - they don't see that.

The both children were laying on their stomaches and leaned on their elbows. Maliah was looking at Harry who was drawing something on the floor. It looked like a cake, to which the girl slightly smiled. It was almost midnight. A sound came from Dudley's watch so they both checked the time. It was 12 in the morning. New day.

"Happy birthday, Harry!"

"Happy birthday, Milah!"

Just as the boy finished drawing the candles on the imaginary cake, they both made a wish and blew. Harry and Maliah both smiled at each other. It was their 11th birthday - once again the Dursley's forgot about them. Sometimes it bothered Maliah, but she tried to brush it away each time.

"Well we went on a trip for our birthday, right?" The girl joked and rubbed her eyes. They never went anywhere for their birthday. So this was the first time they went away from their house. Her brown hair was put up in a messy bun, for it not to get dirty. Duo to her having hair between wavy and curly the bun turned out perfect messy bun.

"Yes, to this hole. Which is worse then the house we live in." Harry sighed and tried to say something else but a loud bang on the wooden doors made them flinch. Dudley stood up from the couch in shock. A confused and scared look on his face. The storm outside giving this scene a more dramatic effect.

Just as the big doors broke down, uncle and aunt came down the stairs with a gun in their hands. Harry and Maliah moved behind a small wall, while Dudley moved all the way towards the rotten table. Near the window. A big man appeared on the place the door used to be at. He was barely going to fit thought the hole, so he had to band his head down a little bit. He had a brown long messy hair - beard also. In his hands he held a pink umbrella.

"Sorry about that." The sweet but raspy voice came out of the men's mouth. He bent down and grabbed the wooden doors pulling them upwards and back in their place.

"I demand that you leave at once. You are breaking and entering." Uncle Vernon threatened while pointing the gun at the man. Maliah closely watched as the taller man approachedΒ Β  her relatives. Petunia was scared and Vernon tried to act tuff - he wasn't. "Dry up, Dursley, you great prune." Bending the rifle, the bullet flew into the ceiling. Maliah glanced towards Harry and laughed. Dudley started shaking and clenched his fists around the table corners. After that the men silently turned around and walked up to Dudley.

"I haven't seen you since you was a baby, Harry. You're a bit more along that I expected. Particularly in the middle." Maliah burst out laughing after the comment the man made. Uncle and aunt gave her a death stare, but she ignored them. Suddenly Harry came out from their "hiding" spot. "I am." Which made the girl die down her laughter.

"Well, of course you are. And you must be Maliah?" The brunette looked up towards the man's face and nodded. She was a bit different than Harry, even if they're twins. Besides their same hair color, everything else was different. The boy had a scar on his forehead, wore glasses and had brown eyes. The girl didn't have any of that. She looked a bit more like their mother, while Harry on their father - at least to Dursley's.

"Yes, Maliah Potter. Who are you?" She wasn't really scared of the man in front of her. Since he would've hurt them if he wanted to already. The man chuckled and placed his umbrella under his coat. Harry was next to Maliah and was watching his every move.

"Rubeus Hagrid. You remind me of your mother, Maliah. She looked exactly like you." This made the little girl smile slightly. "Really? Thank you so much."

"Got something for both of you. Afraid I sat on it, but I imagine it'll taste fine just the same. Baked it myself, word and all." The man grabbed something from the back of his pocket and handed Harry the box. Maliah came closer, while Dudley curiously glanced over her shoulder. Opening the box there was a pink round cake with green letters: happee birthday Harry, Maliah. The girl chuckled at the misspelled words. "Thank you." Harry muttered.

"Not everyday your young man turns 11, is it?" After that he sat down and broke the couch. Taking out his pink umbrella something like fireworks came out of it and lit the fireplace. Making a fire so they all could be warm. Harry put the cake down on a small table. "So, I'm sure you know all about Hogwarts."

Maliah frowned and shook her head no. The girl remembered seeing that name in the letter, but before she didn't hear a word about it. "Sorry, no."

"No? Didn't you ever wonder where your mom and dad learned it all?" The man made a confused face, just like the children. "Learned what?" Maliah asked crossing her arms, warming up.

"You'll are wizards. Harry, Maliah."

"I'm a what?" Harry opened his mouth in surprise, while Maliah thought the man was crazy. That didn't exist - she thought for now. "A wizard. A good one, I'd wager, once you're trained up." The brunette looked up to see angry faces on aunt Petunias and uncle Vernon's face. They were acting like it was the truth and didn't want any of it to come out.

"No, you've made a mistake. I mean...I can't be a wizard. I mean, I'm just Harry. Just Harry." The man looked from time to time towards Harry and the floor, not believing his words. Maliah sighed in the meantime.

"Well, Just Harry, did you ever make anything happen? Anything you couldn't explain, when you were angry or scared?"

"He did! In the zoo, the glass magically disappeared..." Maliah started talking and stopped, realizing that what the man was saying might be true. Hagrid made a 'see' look. Standing up he handed them the letters. The same ones Dursley's went over here just to avoid them. Opening them up, they started to read.

π™³πšŽπšŠπš› π™Όπš›πšœ. π™Ώπš˜πšπšπšŽπš›,

Uncle Vernon suddenly ran over to the kids and started yelling. "They will not be going! We swore we'd put a stop to all this rubbish." Maliah gasped and glared at her uncle. She couldn't believe it. They knew about everything. They didn't want them to know about anything.

Both twins listened as their aunt Petunia spoke about her sister - their mother. There was pure hatred and jealousy even in her voice. The woman had crossed arms around her and an angry and disgusted look on her face. Maliah kept frowning the whole time. Uncle Vernon just stood next to her. Not saying a word just nodding - agreeing with her.

"Blown up? You told me my parents died in a car crash."

"A car crash? A car crash killed Lily and James Potter? It's an outrage! A scandal!" Hagrid yelled and started shaking his head in disbelief. Maliah saw how Dudley grabbed their cake and brought it to the table he was leaning on for the past minutes. "They'll not be going."

"And I suppose a great Muggle like you is going to stop him?" The man explained a muggle is a person without magic. So, basically Dursley's.

"These kids have their names down since they were born. They're going to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world. And they'll be under the finest headmaster Hogwarts has seen, Albus Dumbledore." Maliah silently laughed at the headmasters name. Hearing it has the word 'dumb' in it.

"I will not pay to have a crackpot old fool teach them magic tricks." Vernon spoke up, which resulted in Hagrid threatening him with his umbrella. It looks like the man didn't like it when someone insulted Albus Dumbledore. After that he pointed his umbrella to Dudley - who was eating their cake. A blue light came out of it and a pig tail grew on the boy's butt. Uncle, aunt and Dudley started screaming and panicking. While Harry and Maliah were laughing at the scene.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone at Hogwarts about that. I'm not allowed to do magic."

Maliah made a gesture like she was locking her mouth and threw the keys away.
