"Aren't you done yet? You are going to be late!" San asks, knocking on the doorframe to Yeosang's room, as he pops his head inside. "Come on, you've changed a million times already."
"I know..." With a frustrated sigh, Yeosang tugs a lock of his hair behind his ear, only to ruffle it around again.
San raises a brow while looking around Yeosang's bedroom, where clothes are thrown all over the place - from the desk to the floor, shirt, pants and socks scattered everywhere.
"Don't be nervous, you look great," San then tries to assure him, but Yeosang just snorts at him.
With the biggest struggle of deciding whether or not to button his shirt all the way up or not, Yeosang stares at himself in the mirror. He has given up on his hair, it doesn't get any better than that. He'll just pretend to be rocking that purposely messy look tonight!
"Come on," he the mumbles. "He's probably way too good for me. I mean, he works at the Shinhan Financial Group headquarter? They are the largest banking group in all of Korea! And we are meeting at a restaurant I can't even pronounce the name of..."
"Yeah, but he could be anything from secretary to CEO, right? Could just be someone who's nice and down to Earth, I mean, Yuna likes him?"
"Or he could be like 60-years old!" Yeosang gasps, and it suddenly starts to nag him how he knows absolutely nothing about his date, besides the fact that he works at the same place as Wooyoung's girlfriend. "Unless this guy turns out to be the freaking one, I am so done with those fancy ass men... I just want someone chill, you know? God, I hate wearing blazer..."
"Sangie, you are going to be late!" San repeats, tapping his finger against his wrist watch as he speaks.
With an eye-roll Yeosang takes a last look at himself. He has managed to iron his shirt as well as he could, after wasting most of his time with changing clothes - white shirt and black blazer and pants, can't really go wrong with that.
"You just want me to leave, so you can Jeonghan can fool around," he grumbles at San, while walking towards the door.
The blonde just laughs, but he doesn't deny it at all - no use for that anyway, when they both know it's the truth.
"Good luck!" San calls out, as Yeosang leaves the apartment.

Dimmed light, dark wood interior and huge bouquets of white flowers all around. People talking, piano music playing and the sound of the bartenders mixing the drinks all blend together, but in a surprisingly calming way.
Yeosang is sitting at the bar, waiting for his blind date to show up, so they can be shown to their table further into the restaurant. Despite San warning him about running late, Yeosang arrived earlier than planned, and his date hasn't shown up yet. Or maybe he has, maybe he saw Yeosang and ran away?
"That's probably it," Yeosang mumbles to himself, as he stirs the small straw around in his ordered drink.
He is slowly starting to feel nervous again, and one second he wants to down that entire cocktail in one go - but the next he feels nauseous just looking at it.
It then hits him that he doesn't even know the guy's name, but at least he'll know Yeosang's. Hopefully. Well, he is sitting at the spot Yuna told them to meet at - at the bar right inside the doors, or as close to at least, as a group of five business men were occupying the corner. He is however, currently the only one sitting by himself.
While taking just a small sip of his drink, he looks around the place. It sure is nice, way nicer than he'd prefer, but it's apparently his date who has chosen it. Yeosang holds back a small sigh, he has had enough of fancy places by now, and he wouldn't even mind it if this date would happen at something as simple as McDonald's.
His stomach rumbles at the thought of food, and he is really starting to crave a simple and cheap cheeseburger. He really should start looking for some different kind of guys...
"Yeosang?"
The voice calling out his name is hauntingly familiar, and Yeosang has to run it through his memory twice before he even dares to react. He then slowly turns his head to the side.
"... Seonghwa?" Yeosang isn't sure how to react, and his face tries to pull into a smile but ends up feeling like it looks rather strange. "H-hi..."
Seonghwa is unwrapping his scarf, while looking at Yeosang with hesitant eyes. "What are you doing here?" He then asks.
"I... " The words are disappearing from his mind, as Yeosang just stares at the older next to him. What are the chances for them running into each other... "I'm just waiting for someone..."
A quick change happens on Seonghwa's face, almost as if he is hurt by those words, but Yeosang tries not to put too much meaning into it. It is probably nothing like that anyway, why would it be? And when Yeosang's eyes fall to look at the pretty bouquet of lilies and roses in Seonghwa's hand, he doesn't feel bad at all anymore.
"W-what about you?" Yeosang forces himself to ask, just to be polite - but the beautiful flowers in his hand already tells the obvious answer.
"Same, actually... Well I... It was good seeing you."
The older passes him by, and walks down to sit by the opposite end of the bar. Yeosang follows him from the corner of his eye, and his heart drops a little. He sure looks good tonight, and Yeosang's date has a lot to live up. But Yeosang soon starts to feel a bit awkward about having a date in the same restaurant that his ex is at.
Minutes pass by, and no one shows up - no one to approach him that is. With a sigh, he yanks out his phone and calls up Wooyoung. The date was set up really fast, and Yeosang didn't even think twice about the fact that he didn't get a name, number or anything on the guy.
"Hey Sangie, what's up? Everything okay on your date?" Wooyoung asks as he picks up.
"Well... I think he's stood me up..."
"What? No, hold on..." Wooyoung says, followed by him calling out for his girlfriend to have her check up on her co-worker. Yeosang taps his fingers against the counter, while listening to the couple talking back and forth. "No, Yuna just texted him and she said he's there? Are you sure you're in the right place?"
"I... Yeah? Woo, I don't even know his name? How am I supposed to find him."
"Oh! That's right... Hold on one more time!" And that is when Yeosang realizes that not even Wooyoung knows anything about this guy, and he is really beginning to regret what he has gotten himself into.
Wooyoung returns to the phone again, but Yeosang can hear Yuna talking in the background, while Wooyoung just smacks his lips a few times.
"Sangie... You might not like this..." he then says, but his voice is almost just a whisper. "I-I swear, I... I didn't know... I've been so stressed with work and I..."
The younger's words start to fade away, and Yeosang's heart is starting to race in his chest. There is no way... He slowly turns his head, until his eyes fall on Seonghwa still sitting at the opposite end of the bar - now also talking on the phone, with who apparently is Wooyoung's girlfriend.
"You've got to be kidding me..." Yeosang mumbles.
"I-I had no idea! I'm sorry, I never asked for his name, I... Fuck..." Wooyoung speaks through the phone, practically shouting in distress, but Yeosang doesn't really register it.
"Okay thanks. Talk to you later..." Yeosang hangs up, and puts his phone away, as he turns back to stare at the shelves filled with bottles behind the bar.
He holds his hand to his forehead, while he just stares into the air. He should've put two and two together, when Seonghwa was the only one to show up alone, and then proceeding to wait by the bar by himself... But still... Last thing Yeosang knew, was that Seonghwa was still working with Lucas, and not for Shinhan Group. How in the world should he have known...
"So..." Seonghwa's voice suddenly says right next to him, and Yeosang almost falls down from the barstool in surprise.
The older sits down on the chair besides him, with a drink in his hand, but none of them seem to know what to say next. So, they just sit there next to each other with drowning silence raining down over them.
Yeosang sucks his lower lip in to chew on it, while trying to figure out what to do. Should he just leave? The last couple of times they have met did not end well, so why should tonight turn out any different?
But there is something that seems to have changed about the older, and not only the color of his hair. Yeosang peeks over at him, but only for a short second. Seonghwa has apparently changed jobs, and he has even made the huge step to tell his co-worker that he was interested in a date with another man?
"This is... A little awkward, right?" Seonghwa mumbles without looking away from his drink.
"Yeah..." Yeosang mumbles back.
And in a fleeting moment, their eyes meet and both of them softly chuckles at the same time. In each other's eyes they both see the same thing, the thing they have been missing for years by now. But as the moment passes, and reality returns, both of them have to look away in pain.
Yeosang has so many questions, a million or more - but at the same time, none at all. Seonghwa is moving around on the chair, while clearing his throat an awkward amount of times. He then takes a deep breath, and looks at Yeosang again. But his words are something Yeosang definitely could've been without.
"I... I don't know if I can do this, Yeosang..."
Yeosang turns his head in the opposite direction. He wants to leave, so badly, but he can't move at all. Tears are just waiting to break free from his eyes, as he listens to Seonghwa's words. The older has already broken his heart more than once before, does he really need to do it again?
"We can't go back to what we were, even if we wanted to..." the older continues, but his voice is getting lower and lower and ends in an airy whisper.
"I know..." The words slip out between his lips, but Yeosang can't even hear them himself.
All he hears is his own heartbeat, and he has to get out. Now.
Without looking at Seonghwa, not even one last time, Yeosang grabs his coat and storms out the door. He barely makes it outside, before the first tear is rolling down his cheek, and inside he swears at himself. He was sure he had gotten over Seonghwa, and now he feels so incredibly stupid - why is it so hard for him to let go once and for all?
While trying to dry the persistent tears away with his hand, he walks towards the bus stop. The night is young, and the street is filled with people - but Yeosang pays no attention to anything or anyone around him. He just wants to go home, hide under his blanket and tomorrow he'll pretend this disaster of a date never happened.
With a sigh he looks at the schedule board for the bus - 14 minutes until the next one.
"Hi, excuse me? Kang Yeosang?" A voice calls out from behind, and Yeosang looks over his shoulder to see who it is. "I'm Park Seonghwa, I believe we are supposed to meet up for a blind date?"
Seonghwa walks up to stand next to him - in his left hand is a bouquet of flowers, but it isn't the overwhelming and overpriced one he had had with him earlier. Instead it is just a small bouquet of daisies, which looks like he has just bought them at a random convenience store.
"What are you-" Yeosang starts off, but when Seonghwa quickly raises a brow, he understands what is going on. "Oh... Yeah, that's me."
"So, are you ready to go?" Seonghwa asks, with a smile so soft that it takes Yeosang right back to when they were so happy together.
The fear of having his heart broken once again is still resting heavily on his mind, but with the hopeful eyes looking at him - in a way Seonghwa hasn't looked at him for a very, very long time, Yeosang decides to nod.
If he's making the right decision, or a horrible mistake - only time will tell. And in this very moment, Yeosang is suddenly ready to risk it all. Just one last time.
"Yes, I am ready."
