Makena sat in the backseat fiddling with her hands anxiously. "Ay, you good?" Riri asked in a concerned tone that Shuri raised a brow at but continued to drive to the place Riri needed to stop by at.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just don't like tight spaces." Makena mumbled. Riri nodded and pursed her lips, but then placed her hand over Makena's and offered a small smile. Makena smiled back and leaned back in her seat, letting her thoughts drift off to other things.

Shuri looked at Makena from the mirror and sighed, looking back at the road as she turned into an alley. Okoye raised a brow at Riri's hand atop of Makena's, wondering exactly what Makena had said to her when they were alone.

Shuri pulled up to a warehouse of some sort and Makena sighed in relief, glad to get out of the car. "What exactly is this place?" Okoye questioned suspiciously.

"Uh, I fixed a few trucks for the head zenatation," Riri answered. Shuri stepped out and pulled the seat forward, letting Makena out.

Shuri took ahold of Makena's tattooed hand and pressed a kiss to it. Makena smiled softly aware Shuri was jealous. "I just have to grab my work laptop," Riri said as they walked towards the warehouse.

"Please, don't touch anything," Riri warned, walking in. "You don't have to worry about that," said Okoye.

"It may not look like much but it's my life's work in here," Riri said.

"So, the design for the machine is on that laptop?" Okoye asked Riri who was opening up her backpack. "Yeah."

"And you just leave it on a desk in a car garage?" Okoye deadpanned.

"I got 2065 byte encryption on that thing." Riri replied.

Makena looked around, Shuri still holding her hand as if she'd disappear. "That's impressive. Ever locked yourself out?" Shuri asked, looking at the bulletin board.

"It took me the whole semester to get back in. Had to build a functional quantum computer just to crack my own encryption." Riri said with a slight chuckle.

Makena furrowed her brows looking closely at papers on the board. "What is it your building here? Is it Stark tech?" Shuri questioned before Makena could say anything.

"I said don't touch anything," Riri shot back. Makena raised a brow, not liking how she just avoided the question.

"Princess, American law enforcement has arrived at your location." Griot spoke.

"Shit," Shuri cursed.

"Who was that?" Riri asked, referring to the AI.

"My AI," Shuri answered. She let go of Makena's hand and walked over to the window, Riri following. Makena pulled up a visual on her Kimoyo Beads. "They're surrounding us."

"I thought you said a merman was after me. That's the Feds," Riri argued. Shuri ignored her, pulling off her Kimoyo Beads that turned into the wasp and lodge itself on one of swat cars as a man stuck a knife in their tires.

"Let's just say you're a very wanted person," Makena mumbled.

"Oh I do not need this shit right now!" Makena blocked out whatever Riri was saying before jumping onto one of the boxes and opening the window.

"Makena get down! You cannot kill them!" Shuri exclaimed.

"Relax, I'm not gonna kill them. Just gettin' a little payback." Makena mumbled defensively, pulling out her knife. Makena used her abilities and used the knife to pop one of the car's tires. The knife flew back into her hand and she got down before one of them could see her.

"Ay! Namor sank an entire ship of CIA operatives because of your little machine. So those po po out there, are the least of your worries," Okoye said, replying to whatever Riri was complaining about.

"We need to work together to get out of here. Kena can't do this by herself." Shuri said.

"Hold up, she can't?! This girl took on Thanos and she can't take on a bunch of cops?" Riri exclaimed, flailing her arms around dramatically.

Makena walked over and turned her knife into a gun. "Look, I don't have much control when it comes to fighting at the moment and if I do, everyone including all of you, will most likely die if I lose control. And if I kill any of those cops, I'm going back on the wanted list. No way in hell and I'm going through that again," Makena stated, walking over to her girlfriend.

"General, they've got us surrounded. Maybe we should just split up," Shuri compromised.

Okoye laughed, "Out of question."

"Does this car work?" Makena asked Riri, pointing to the car with a tarp on it. "No," Riri lied.

"Everything in this lab works. Including this bike," Shuri said. Okoye catching onto what Shuri was suggesting. "Don't even think about it. Besides, there are three of us," Okoye said, not counting Makena who could just fly or stay atop the car.

"Two of y'all. I'm taking this," Riri said, pointing to some kind of suit hidden on the ceiling.

"Ooh! I knew it! Don't tell me that you built this in two months," Shuri said excitedly, looking up at it.

"I spent years on this...on and off." Riri used some kind of controller to lower it down.

"Nice. Have you flown it yet?" Shuri asked.

"That thing can fly?" Okoye questioned.

"There's an entire YouTube channel dedicated to sightings of me," Riri laughed. "Awesome."

"Spider-Man much?" Makena mused.

The lights suddenly turned off and Makena immediately reached for Shuri out of concern. "I'm okay." Shuri reassured.

"We have an arrest warrant for student, Riri Williams!" Makena heard them say through a loud speaker thing.

Shuri walked over to Riri and put a com behind her ear. "Wireless transmitter. So we can communicate." Shuri explained before walking over towards the car. "Don't try to run either," Makena warned.

"General Okoye, Princess Shuri, come out with your hands up!"

Makena used her mind to pull off the tarp and Okoye looked at it with judgment. "What a hunk of junk."

"Hey, please be careful. Keys are on the seat." Riri said anxiously. "Once we get to the other side of the bridge we can lose them in Boston traffic."

"General, we really need to split up," Shuri argued.

"Listen to me, we are not in your lab, we are in the field! Now get in the car!" Okoye replied frustratingly, not wanting to let Shuri out of her sight.

"You're always shouting at me." Shuri frowned. Walking around the car she placed a device on the hood so Griot could take control of the car.

"The tactical until will reach the exit in three, two...one."

Makena quickly jumped onto the car, stabbing a knife into the hood to hold on and holding her gun in her other hand.

"FBI! Don't move!" They barged into the door.

"What the hell is that?!" One exclaimed.

"Oh shit, she got an Iron Man suit! Fall back!"

"Stay where you are!"

Riri used one of the blasters to hit the cops but they ducked and she flew out through the open spot in the ceiling. "I think she can fly," Okoye mumbled.

"Griot!" Shuri rushed out of the car and Makena shook her head, not liking Shuri's idea.

"Yes, Princess?"

"Now!"

"Remote piloting, activated," Griot said. The car started and Okoye objected but it took off before she could get the princess back in.

"No Shuri!"

Makena held onto the knife as it drifted to the left. Shuri hopped onto the bike as the car took off, breaking down the warehouse door. And Shuri went the opposite way, driving the bike and going through the double doors.

Makena watched as Riri was flying, "Let's go!" Riri cheered, Makena hearing through coms.

"Makena! Why would you let her do that?!" Okoye exclaimed. But then she heard Makena standing up on the roof. "Makena!"

"Sorry, gotta make sure she doesn't die." Makena replied.

Makena flew up, and immediately flew to Shuri who she seen drive up a hill, jumping the bike over a cop car. Makena flew down, landing on the back on the bike. "Why do I listen to you?" Makena mumbled to herself, turning around and shooting at the police cars behind them. Makena turned back around, getting the police cars off of them.

"Okoye, I'm on my way to you." One of the police cars stopping in front of her and she drifted to the right, driving up the sidewalk. "Kena, hold on!" Makena sighed and wrapped her arms around Shuri's waist as she drove down stairs, and right in between to police cars.

Shuri caught up with Okoye and Makena took the opportunity to jump back onto the car, holding onto the knife still on the roof.

"We need to find the next route checkpoint!" Makena said.

"There's one across this river," Shuri said.

"Ay, they cuttin' off the bridge!" Riri warned.

"Princess, there is a surveillance drone locked onto you," Griot warned.

"How high?!" Shuri asked, so Makena could fly up and destroy it.

"One thousand feet," Griot said.

"Hang on, I got it," Riri said before Makena could speak up.

"Riri, I'm not sure you can reach that drone without an oxygen mask!" Shuri warned.

"Damn it," Makena cursed, not sure if Riri could handle being that high. There was a better chance of Makena doing it.

Riri shot down the drone but immediately ran out of oxygen. "Oxygen, zero percent," Griot informed.

"The drone is no longer tracking you," Griot informed Shuri.

"Riri! Are you okay?!" Shuri asked in worry.

Makena stood up, ready to go and get Riri but she caught herself last minute. "You alright?"

"Yeah. I'm good," Riri reassured them.

Makena got back down to one knee, pulling out her gun to shoot until Riri spoke. "Ay, don't worry. I got a special delivery for y'all in three, two." Makena pursed her lips, impressed when the drone landed in front of the cops, blowing everything up.

"Nice one, Riri!"

Makena winced at Okoye drove through the fire, "Could've warned me but okay." Makena patted off the little patch of fire from her jeans.

They drove down the bridge but suddenly something hooked onto Riri's suit, causing her to crash down, unconscious. "Riri!" Shuri exclaimed.

Makena's eyes widened noticing some kind of circle ball of sort roll under the car. It exploded and instead of a fire explosion like she expected, it was water. Makena flew up, and immediately jumped, grabbing onto Shuri mid air. Makena turned her gun into the same purple shield she used when Bruce snapped his fingers and wrapped her body around Shuri. They landed onto the road, Makena getting most of the impact.

The shield turned back into the pocket knife and Makena clenched her teeth, feeling her wrist had sprained. The car flipped over them, landing upside down. Makena stood to her feet, grabbing her knife, stumbling but then she felt some kind of object inject itself into her neck. "Fuck. Vibranium." Makena groaned, pulling the object out and falling unconscious.

"What just happened? Shuri?! Shuri! Kena!" Okoye unbuckled her seatbelt and crawled out of the car.

Okoye ran over to Shuri, gently turning her over but she was unconscious, having hit her head when they landed. Luckily she wore a helmet.

Okoye immediately used Shuri's Kimoyo Beads to check her vitals. "The Princess's vitals are stable, General." Griot informed. "She will regain consciousness momentarily."

Okoye sighed in relief before moving over to check on Makena. She checked her Kimoyo Beads worriedly, seeing blood drip down Makena's forehead. "Makena's heart appears to be slowing down. It appears she has vibranium in her system." Griot informed.

Okoye immediately reached into Makena's pockets for the vibranium ejector Shuri made but didn't find it. Okoye turned around and checked Shuri's pockets. Okoye sighed in relief, finding the device in Shuri's pocket. Okoye moved back to Makena and stabbed it into her chest, pressing the button and it did it's work. Unfortunately it world take a few minutes.

Okoye suddenly looked back hearing metal scrape against the concrete. The same thing attached to Riri was now dragged her body. Okoye pulled out her spear, breaking the wire so it stopped pulling Riri.

Okoye watched in shocked as a literal whale launched from the water and four people who appeared to be blue jumped off and landed on the bridge. Another whale did the same and this time it was a much bigger man, who was blue as well.

Okoye stabbed spear into the ground and pulled off her blazer. "Take another step closer. And I will kill you all." Okoye threatened.

"Drop your weapons!" The blue people turned and noticed two cop cars pull up. "Kill the scientist. I take care of the witnesses," the woman who's name was Namora, spoke in Mayan.

"Understood." The man replied. Okoye could tell he was the strongest of all of them.

"Kill that woman first." The man ordered, his name being Atumma.

Okoye took on the three Talokans, beating them. Atumma went to stab his weapon into Riri but Okoye stood in front of her, blocking his weapon, cutting him across the cheek.

"Go to Namora," Atumma ordered the three Talokan's who surprisingly weren't dead.

Okoye and Atumma went head to head, him winning at first. He kicked her spear to her and they fought more. He stuck his weapon into the ground, and it sent Okoye down with some vibration. Okoye used her beads to send a shock to Atumma through the spear.

Okoye glanced to Makena, seeing the device almost finished working so she knew she needed to stall. The only person capable of taking on these people as of now was Makena. And with her anger rised, she wouldn't hold any mercy.

Okoye stood up, and picked up her spear. He sent his into her, making her being forced back but she stabbed the spear into the ground, stopping her from falling off the bridge by the impact. "What is the reason for the delay? It's not the right time to have fun." Namora scolded as she walked over.

She threw a water bomb at Atumma who sent it towards Okoye. She used her spear, slicing it in half only it still exploded, sending her off the bridge and into the river.

Makena woke up with a gasp and pulled the machine that was blinking out of her chest. She felt her wrist having healed up already. The Talokan people looked at her and she stood up, immediately putting them on guard. They were told she was extremely strong due to what K’uk’ulkan said. As to why they had injected her with vibranium.

"My father had books about you people. I didn't believe them." Makena spoke up, tossing her knife into the air and it turned into a Katana with a purple glow around it.

"I thought K’uk’ulkan said the vibranium will kill her," Namora told Atumma but Makena understood the language.

"Did he also tell you that it has to reach my heart to kill me? And guess what sweetheart? I'm not that easy to kill. And you've done pissed me off." Makena said in Mayan, stabbing the katana into the ground and tying up her hair.

"Kill the girl," Namora ordered.

"So hostile. On other circumstances I would like you. But, you've threatened Wakanda, and when you threaten Wakanda you're threatening my girlfriend. And let me tell you something, I don't take kindly to people threatening what's mine." Makena pulled out her sword, making a hand motion for them to come at her.

The three ran at her and she fought them off, stabbing one through the chest.
Makena turned her weapon into a gun and shot the other one with a blue energy blast. Then Makena lifted the other one in the air and sent the katana through her chest. The katana landed back in her hand and this time Atumma charged towards her.

Makena turned her katana into a spear and fought him, getting the upper hand. Makena threw his weapon to the side, and turned her weapon back into a katana, going for his head she suddenly paused. Makena was taken back noticing her hands glowing purple.

Namora used Makena's distraction to throw a water bomb at her. Makena caught it and went to throw it but Atumma kicked her back and it exploded, sending Makena back into the river.

The water from the bomb washed over Shuri, causing her to awake. "Makena!" Shuri ran over to edge, not seeing Makena or Okoye who fell unconscious. Makena swam down under the water and grabbed onto Okoye, pulling them back to surface.

Atumma and Namora stepped forward but Shuri ran in front of Riri. Griot activated a translator so the Talokans would understand her.

"I am Shuri...the Princess of Wakanda. I demand that you take me to Namor. Do not bring harm to this girl." Shuri said, covering her worry for Makena.

"Shall we take them both alive?" Atumma asked Namora in Mayan as Griot translated it to Shuri.

"Yes, Atumma." Namora said.

Namora took Atumma's weapon and he stepped forward, pulling off his mask. He placed it onto Shuri's face. "Breathe." He spoke, Griot translated and Shuri did as told.

Makena and Okoye rised back to the surface and they both let out a gasp of air. Makena turned and noticed a whale with people on it, go underwater. "Shuri!" Makena cursed under her breath.

"Why did you leave her?!" Okoye exclaimed.

"I didn't! I was winning and then my hands glowed, alright. I got distracted and the bitch took advantage of it," Makena replied. Okoye sighed in frustration and Makena grabbed onto Okoye, flying them back onto the bridge.

Makena looked around, seeing Riri no longer in the suit and everyone was gone. "I need to get rid of the cars." Makena said.

Makena used her powers, sending each of the cars into the river, plus the bike and Riri's suit. Okoye sent the aircraft to them and Makena flew them up, into it. "Let's go, hurry up." Makena ordered, already frustrated with everything.

Okoye nodded and drove the aircraft back to Wakanda.

Makena took breaths, clenching her jaw as tears scrolled down her face. Makena grabbed one of the spears on the wall and screamed, breaking it in half.

Okoye jumped in shock but continued to drive. "I'm gonna kill Namor. And I'm gonna kill every single one of those people until their kind is extinct."

a.n: mhm, so yh let's just say kena ain't too happy with shuris kidnapping...

i thought the talokans spoke Spanish at first (bc it was Spanish subtitles) but it was actually Mayan so that's pretty cool :) yes kena knows Mayan, she studied it from her dad's books. and she knew abt talokan but she didn't believe they existed

if u didn't catch on, italics is when their speaking another language. Talokans speak Mayan and Wakandans usually speak Xhosa. If it is another language I will clarity it (obviously not including when the ai speaks)

any guesses on what the purple glow in makenas hands is from? ill give u a hint, it's related to the stones :)

if i make a makena book should it be a x reader or and oc x oc (I'm only rlly good with ocs)
