ππ¦ π¦π’π’π‘ ππ¦ he spat those words, everyone went into panic mode. (Y/N) immediately reached out this time, getting a tight hold on his arm, as she supported all of his weight.
"Shit! Shit!" Lo'ak exclaimed his curses, as his eyes were wide, as he and Spider helped (Y/N) bring a groaning Neteyam towards Sae.
"Get him on!" Spider yelled to the two holding Neteyam, as the wounded teen let out another pained noise, and Tsireya held Sae steady.
"I got him, I got him." (Y/N) assured through heavy breathing, hands trembling as she helps Neteyam onto Sae gently, and she slides up behind him, making the male lean against her chest. "Go! Go!"
Lo'ak gets on in front of her, while Spider and Tsireya hold onto the sides, and Sae starts to swim forward quickly, feeling her rides scared emotions.
"I've got you, I've got you." (Y/N) reassured through a shaky coo at Neteyam, placing pressure on his bleeding as he groans and opens his eyes to stare up at her.
"You're going to be okay, I promise." She whimpered, tears forming in her eyes making her blink them back, as one dropped down onto his cheek.
Ignoring the horrible pain he was in, he brought up a shaking hand to her cheek and cupped it, as he wiped her tears away with his thumb, "Don't cry, my love." He rasped through his laboured breathing, nose bumping against hers.
(Y/N) sniffled loudly at this with a small sad smile, trying to get rid of her tears but it was no use. One of her beloved's was dying.
She leans the top of her head against his, and continues to press pressure on his wound, all while whispering words of comfort as the group swims faster on Sae.
...
Near some of the rocks in the water, Jake hopped off his Skimwing as he spots the kids all on Sae and heading towards where he was.
"Dad! Help! It's Neteyam!" Lo'ak desperately calls out to his father, waving a hand around to catch his attention.
(Y/N)'s cheeks were already stained with a few tears, as she holds Neteyam close to her chest, and looks down at the male, who was breathing very fast with wheezes.
The girl couldn't lose him, couldn't let this take him away from her and his family. She wouldn't allow that. There was to many things left that she wanted to do with him, and Lo'ak, to many things left unspoken to be told. She so badly wanted to grow old with them both, experience a long life with them, and maybe, just maybe even become mates.
Even if she fought of her ever-growing feelings for Neteyam and Lo'ak, there was denying it now that she was unconditionally in love with them. She adored everything about them, to Neteyam's protectiveness, to his dramatic hair swings, to Lo'aks love he held for his family, to his silly pranks. (Y/N) loved and adored everything about them.
She was not about to let everything they've been through together as a trio go to waste. She believed everything happens for a reason, but losing Neteyam was not supposed to happen.
There was no (Y/N), without Lo'ak and Neteyam. They were a trio, and would die as one also.
"Quick! We must hurry!" Tsireya exclaims quickly as they had arrived at the rocks, and she helps (Y/N) gently bring down Neteyam off Sae, as they all helped the coughing male up onto the rocks.
"Watch his head!" Lo'ak warned as they did this, and Jake helped them pull his eldest son up through the rushing waves, and the group lift him up, brining him more into the middle and gently placed him down.
(Y/N) was straight away by his head, as she cradles it in her hand and holds one of his hands with her free one, while Lo'ak places pressure on his bleeding wound.
"It's okay, Nete, we've got you." She tells her beloved in a shaky voice, trying to keep it steady, trying to reassure him and herself mostly - knowing this was looking bad for him.
Jake, who was beside her, carefully flipped his son over onto his back and saw how the bullet went through, and was bleeding badly, "Oh, no." He gasped, and pushed down on Lo'aks hands, that were putting pressure on the wound, "Keep pressure on it."
The sound of an Ikran flew down onto the rocks, as Ney'tiri jumped down off it, and Jake lowered his head and got up slowly to go to his mate, who was frozen in pure shock seeing her son bleeding out.
(Y/N) looked at them through her blurry vision, brows furrowed with a lost look as to why the two parents weren't doing anything.
She turns to Lo'ak, and sees him already looking at her with watery eyes, and a defeated look, "No..why isn't anyone doing anything.." She whispers in despair, herself not knowing what to do either as Lo'ak continues to place pressure through his tears, the blood not stopping nor was Neteyam's wound getting any better.
She feels a weak squeeze to her hand, making her look down to see Neteyam staring at her, and she releases a sob spotting the loving despair look in his eyes.
He's was so scared to die, but wouldn't let her see that.
"It's okay, it's okay Neteyam, I swear. You'll get through this." She now cries through quivering lips, brushing his braids back out of his face as she prays to Eywa in her head.
Neteyam weakly shakes his head, trying his best to hide the pain he was in as he stares into her teary eyes, "You have to let me go-" He gasps out, making more choking noises, as his face tiredly looks at his crying brother, "Lo'ak will take good care of you-"
A strangled cry rips free from out of her throat at his words, and moves their intertwined hands up onto his chest, "No, I need you both- Please-" She stubbornly shakes her head, begging with tears rushing down her face.
He smiles sadly hearing her say this.
With the last of his strength left, he reaches up his trembling free hand and runs it down her wet cheek, his eyes shining with pure adoration as a tear runs down his face.
"I'm sorry." He whispered softly, himself knowing he was about to go and there was so many things he wanted to say to her, to his family, but this was all he could muster in his last moments.
Despite most of his family being around him, crying over him, his attention was only solemnly focused on (Y/N). Like always.
The hand covering her cheek slowly slid off, as it hit the ground and Neteyam's eyes fluttered weakly, causing (Y/N) to make a whimpering noise, and try to cup his face and bring his gaze back on her.
The sound of Lo'aks and Tsireya soft cries, Ney'tirs loud wailing, and Jake trying to comfort her was heard, as a creeping dread takes root in (Y/N)'s chest hearing Neteyam's wheezing and choking noises stopping.
It was only when Neteyam's eyes shut closed, the hand dropping from her face, and eventually fell limp, that she knew.
She knew Neteyam was gone.
"Neteyam?" She whispered, her voice cracking pathetically as she now uses both hands to cup his face, trying to wake up him up, "Nete? Come on."
Neteyam had dead in (Y/N)'s arms.
And at the realisation, her felt entire world crumbled. She gasped, lungs burning as grief stole her breath away, "No, no no.." She shook her head in denial, shaking his body a little bit with harsh cries, "Ma Neteyam! No!"
She wails loudly, her voice sounding like a broken scream as guilt and lose tore her apart, "No, Great Mother, please don't take him!"
It was a prayer unanswered.
(Y/N) intangles one hand into his braided locks, as she pulls him closer to her chest and presses the side of her head against his unmoving one, trembling wildly as tears slide down her cheeks with harsh cries leaving her mouth, "Please! please, you can't- not yet-"
Lo'ak watches the scene with a sob escaping his lips, bowing his head with tears in his eyes as his face twist up, and glances down at his brothers blood on his hands.
He wouldn't blame (Y/N) if she never forgave him for this.
"I'm so sorry." (Y/N) weeps against the side of Neteyam's head, repeating those words as she clings to the male more pleading and gave out an anguished sob. She couldn't save him when he needed it the most, couldn't protect him from what the enemy.
The cries from everyone didn't stop from the loss of Neteyam, but what everyone expect (Y/N) spotted was, that the blue and green eyed Na'vi cradling Neteyam had her spots glowing all over her body, pulsing like a wave down it as she cries.
Ney'tiri wails come to softer ones as she sees this, sharing a confused, baffled look with her mate as this happens, the male holding her in his arms as he was once again witnesses an act of Eywa through (Y/N).
(Y/N) slowly removed her face from the side Neteyam's, breathing in shakily as she glance down at his closed eyed, unmoving face, that once held so much love and adoration for her. She gulps for air and shudders as she brushed her thumb over the skin between his eyebrows.
She gently lowered his body onto the ground, her hold slipping on him as she closed her eyes momentarily, inhaling heavily and opened them back up as a sudden cold, but determined look crossed her face.
The Avatars and Sky people still had Kiri and Tuk, and they were both still trapped on the ship where Neteyam got shot on.
(Y/N) blinks back the tears, her eyes holding no emotion as she glances over at the ship, which was somewhat on fire and then back to the group, where they surrounded Neyetam's body.
Lo'ak, who was sniffling and looking down at his older brother glanced up when he heard shuffling, and spotted (Y/N) standing up. This alerted him deeply, as he spotted her neutral expression. Her sudden mood change worried him.
"What are you doing?" At his frantic question, the rest of his family turn their heads to what was going on, and saw Lo'ak going up to (Y/N), who was grabbing the bow and arrow Ney'tiri made for her.
She didn't turn to face him, as she walked more towards the edge of the rocks, and held the weapon in her hands tightly, "They still have Tuk and Kiri. I don't expect any of you to follow, you shouldn't have to after what just happened." She answers him sharply, voice sounding monotonous.
(Y/N) then makes a screeching bird call up into the air, calling for her Ikran as the sound of wings flapping came closer and closer to where she was.
Malik soon appeared before her with a loud chitter, and lands onto the rocks as she went to attach their queue's together, grabbing onto his side and swung her legs over his back, hopping onto her Ikran.
Lo'aks eyes went wide with panic watching this, scrambling forward to talk her out of this, as he couldn't lose her as well, "You're not thinking straight, love, please stay-" He tried to tell her, voice cracking horrible with his heart aching.
Love. The same nickname Neteyam used for her.
Malik screeched angrily at his words, answering for his rider as he flaps his wings up high and Lo'ak steps back with a tear falling down his cheek, as (Y/N) gives him one last stare with her eyes, their normal brightness they would hold when she looked at him not there.
As she makes a rough yip noise to Malik, he lifts up in the air and takes off towards the ship with his enraged rider holding onto the saddles ropes.
Ney'tiri, who had stopped crying and stopped up next to her mate shared an understanding look with Jake, as they watched her fly off, both knowing she needed this but also they had to help the poor givering girl get back their daughters.
A sudden noise behind them, followed by loud gasping made them both turn around, and saw what Lo'ak, Spider and Tsireya were witnessing, and the parents eyes went wide seeing it.
Still flying on Malik, (Y/N) only had one thought on her mind as she gets closer to the ship. Kill everyone on their who took Neteyam from her, and his family. Let none escape, don't show any mercy as they stole him unfairly away from her.
(Y/N) was out for blood, and lot's of it.
The revenge of a grieving lover was about to be let loose.
