━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 her escape, she made sure that every trace of her ever coming over to America was completely erased. The blonde haired blue eyed beauty was already back in front of the Murder House―︎or rather, where the additional headquarters were. She held her head up high, face void of emotion as she forced herself into the place. She glanced down the hall, waiting for Dr. Von to come and find her, and she wasn't surprised when instead one of her scientists grabbed her, bringing her to the woman's office.
Dr. Von sat there, reading glasses perched on the bridge of her nose as she looked down at the few pieces of paper that she held in her hand. She barely acknowledge Liliya as she entered the office, sitting down in the chair that was placed in front of her desk. Dr. Von switched the papers around, eyes flickering over the black printed words before slamming all the papers into a neat stack in front of her. The first thing she did was take her glasses off, pinching the bridge of her nose in annoyance before folding the glasses and setting them on the desk. She placed her hands on the table, fingers interlaced.
Liliya sat up with perfect posture, not a single world flying from her mouth because she knew that Dr. Von had something to say to her, and if she dared to interrupt that train of thought, she would be punished for somehow. There was a few moments of silence as the older woman stared at Liliya, eyes racking over her as if she were trying to figure out. She pursed her lips, revealing the very small wrinkles that resided at the very corners of her mouth.
"You're back so soon." Dr. Von started. "You're back, and yet the death of Steven Rogers hasn't reached my ears. Someone's bound to know he's missing or dead. So, that gives me the idea that you came back without completing said mission." Dr. Von stood up, grey hair shining in the light. "I have known you your whole life Liliya, I have sent you on the most complicated missions and not once have you ever come back to me empty handed. So, here comes my question: why are you back?"
Once there was silence and she knew that she was allowed to talk, Liliya did so. "Yes, I went, I almost had him, and then I got caught and captured. I was released only by my own doing which involved attacking the infamous Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff." She shoved her hand into her pocket, pulling out a strip of red hair and throwing it on the desk. "In the process of making my escape, I completed one part of my mission and killed Natasha. If you don't believe me, you are welcome to search the news. But I did not and would never come back empty handed."
Dr. Von stared at the blonde for a moment before making her way over to her laptop. She opened, and soon enough an image appeared on her computer. Natasha Romanoff laid there, blood coating her lips, a purple bruise lining her neck that was the result of Liliya joking her. The official announcement of her death was trending. And, of course, the murderer was completely anonymous. Dr. Von stared at the laptop screen before closing it and pressing her hands flat against her desk. For a moment, Liliya didn't think that she believe her, and then Dr. Von looked up at her and smiled.
"Well done, my child." Her voice was filled with nothing but pleasure. "Clearly, I stand corrected. This just proves something that I have been waiting for." This made Liliya's eyebrows furrow in confusion. Dr. Von moved to stand in front of her desk, looking down at Liliya and reaching forwards, placing her hand under the blonde's chin, a thumb running over her cheek. "It's time for the next part of your completion into becoming an assassin. You are already the best that we've ever had, Liliya, but we want to make you better. We want to make you the best of the best. And in doing so, we need to run a few tests. This is well earned. You should be proud of yourself, my dear."
Liliya only frowned, cocking her head slightly. "I don't understand. I thought I had already completed the training to become a full assassin. Is there more? And what tests are you talking about? Dr. Von, I don't―︎"
"It's alright." Dr. Von assured her. "This is new. It's an experiment. And only the best of the best can go through with it. I think you'd be a perfect candidate."
Liliya swallowed thickly, fear starting to prickle up inside of her. Her gut was telling her that this was bad. That whatever Dr. Von wanted to do to her would be more bad than good. And what did she mean by experiment? Liliya knew that she didn't have a say in the matter. She knew that no matter what she felt she was going to have to go through with it just like a good soldier would do. Getting held by the Avengers awakened something inside of her. The person that she used to be was crawling back into the light, and if Dr. Von took notice of this, only bad things would come Liliya's way.
"You don't have to worry, Liliya. Everything's fine. It will only take a couple of hours. But, it will be over before you know it." She met Liliya's eyes and smiled gently towards her, almost motherly. "You will thank me once this is all over."
"Thank you, for what?"
Dr. Von opened her mouth to respond, but suddenly the door to her office was carefully pushed open, a young man with tan skin and black hair appeared. A white lab coat was placed over his arms, a clip board in his hands. He looked at Dr. Von before nodding his head. "We're ready for her."
"Perfect timing. Come on." She stood up and Liliya hesitantly followed, not at all prepared for what she was about to be put through.
