Dear Jordyn,
(dhjkshdkjsd)
If you'd be wondering who's writing this to you, hey, it's me - Cheryl. I know you wouldn't wanna read this after everything that'd happen between us that night, that terrible fight. It haunts me and writing this to you gives me deja vu now. But it's easier to say it in words than speak up about it to you.
I've seen you. I know you're happier without me. Although I appreciate it outwardly, it breaks my heart from within. We're the same but suddenly, everything has changed. Our souls don't tempt to meet. No phone calls, no texts, no facetimes. There's this void floating in the air, an intense tension of moving on and letting go. But you know something Jordyn? The past keeps haunting us. Although our love is now of meagre importance to either of us, my heart can't take it in. We're right where we are. You are doing a stable job, working for your family, doing great at school. I'm right here, dealing with my demons, the loss of my brother, people calling me a "bitch". But what's changed is the little twinkle in my eyes whenever it met yours.
That feeling of joy, affection and losing yourself in a beautiful relationship - that's all lost. It breaks my heart. You were a silver lining to my existence. Yet, I proved us wrong. I'd been contemplating on writing to you for long. I wasn't finding the mental stability to sit back and write something. My thoughts. About you, about me, about us. It scares me to think that I'm not the reason anymore for your smile, your good dreams, your dimples aligning with your cheeks. I'm not even worth any of it.
But trust me when I say this to you - I can't move on. It's hard to pretend that I don't give a fuck about you, about us when all I think about is you. I'm in a chokehold - my past tears me apart and the sheer thought of you being away breaks my heart even more. When I was with you, I felt happier. I didn't give a fuck about what people would say about us because you and me were something that was meant to be. I remember talking about us to Toni, the first time you and I met. I was all excited like a little child. Nevertheless, I ruined it for us. I blame myself but I never know. Maybe destiny didn't work for me.
We're not who we used to be.
I hope you're taking care, sweetie. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I am gonna be fine. Although my heart is in pieces, I love you and even in mere words, I cannot express that. Let's just say that life has been the same for both of us, but we move on and changed. None of us are recognisable anymore and we're living under different roofs, haunted by our own demons. You're all I ever had in a lifetime. I hope you smile, maybe just for once, for me, for us.
Yours sincerely,
Cheryl Blossom.
I hope you liked it !
Lots of love,
Anurima.
