The two days in the privacy of your home were reflective. Your family was so concerned about the apparitions that haunted you at school. You told your family about the phanthom in the mirror that talked about a blood sacrifice in order to leave your family.
Your aunt Ines had to tell you the truth. The gravity of the request was too hard for you to accept. You don't want anyone to make such a decision. Giving their lives is too much to ask, but losing family members because of a choice is more horrifying.
Sammy went to school as your family celebrated the fact that you met your famous soulmate. You told them that the portion only worked for a month, but his affection for you already set a point of no return. He doesn't want you to leave him, but choose love and happiness. You were so tired and confused.
Yeonjun informed you that his family and the chairman would like to meet your family to discuss your bond. The day of their visit was such a quiet day at home. Your family was super excited to meet his parents, but you felt apprehensive about their acceptance of you. Your family didn't tell Sammy yet; he was at school, and the house was unusually quiet without him.
Aunt Ines was quietly busy in the kitchen with your grandmother, preparing a sumptuous Korean buffet lunch for the guests. Your dad, who had taken the day off from his newly started tech company, was pacing the living room with sheer excitement; his nervous energy was palpable.
The anticipation in the atmosphere was thick as you awaited the arrival of Yeonjun, his parents, and the BigHit executives. When the doorbell rang, and your father practically sprinted to the door, his hands slightly shaking as he opened it. In front of him were Yeonjun, his parents, Bang PD, the CEO of BigHit Entertainment, Yeonjun's parents, Yeonjun's manager, and Yeonjun himself.
Your family greeted the guests warmly; their eyes immediately searching for you where you stood calmly and with a cute, dimpled smile besides your dad. Yeonjun's eyes lit up as he locked into yours. After your guest was invited into the main lounge, you and Yeonjun still stood there with mutual recognition.
The air around you was energised as you smiled into each other's eyes. 'Hi Luna..." He softly uttered as he took your hand in his and led you to follow the elders who were chatting excitedly at the sofas.
Yeonjun's parents couldn't stop gushing about your beauty, and you could just shyly thank them. Your family was beaming because of their immediate acceptance of you. After all the formalities were done, the guests were invited to have a huge buffet lunch that your grandma prepared for you.
As everyone settled around the large marble table in the dining room, your dad couldn't contain his vigour as he spoke candidly. "It's such an honour for the Chai/Hernandez family to have you all here," he said, his voice keenly betraying his uncontainable excitement. You wanted to just snort, "We're so thrilled to discuss the future of our families and, of course, Yeonjun and Luna's soulbond. I hope our two kids will be happy and grow their bond in harmony."
You discreetly glanced at Yeonjun, and as your eyes met, a soft, reassuring smile flashed across his handsome face-that smirk that always made your heart race. He also looked as nervous as you are, but there was also a look in his gaze that made you feel safe and protected.
His CEO looked so pleased that BTS little brothers are starting to find their fates like the rest of the older hyungs.
When the intimidating Bang PD began to speak, his voice was filled with calmness and authority, "This soul bond between Luna and our Yeonjun is not something we can take lightly, as Yeonjun is an idol. It's rare to find your soulmate directly after you've turned 18, and it's deemed more powerful. But as we all know, with that great power comes great responsibility. As a private idol, secrecy must be upheld, especially in the scrutiny of the public eye. Some MoA fans and some global fans might not be ready to know about this or accept it yet."
Your grandmother, who had been quietly listening, smiled, "We've prepared an authentic Korean buffet meal for everyone. Please, let's enjoy our meal first before we delve deeper into the soulmate discussions."
She gestured towards the beautifully arranged buffet on the side table. There were all sorts of dishes of bulgogi, kimchi, japchae, and various other side veggies, as well as traditional drinks and sodas. The food filled the room with a mouth-watering aroma.
You and Yeonjun smiled brightly as you stood next to each other, trailing behind the joyous elders who helped themselves. As everyone began to serve themselves on the huge plates, your dad couldn't hide his excitement.
He eagerly offered plates to the guests and poured more drinks, his eyes sparkling as he spoke to the BigHit executives, "My mum and grandma worked hard to prepare these succulent dishes. And we wanted to make sure you all felt welcomed and enjoyed our family union."
You and Yeonjun sat besides each other at the table, your knees brushing slightly under the tablecloth. You smirked and bit your lip as you felt his fingers entwined with your; you just couldn't help but steal discreet glances at his handsome; you could see how his eyes softened whenever he looked at you. Pure love was in his eyes, which made his entourage smile and be pleased at his happiness. The air around you two was fully charged with unspoken words and deep emotions.
Bang PD took a sip of his green tea before continuing the conversation. "We need to understand that this bond between you two is not just a personal matter; it has also implications for Yeonjun's idol career and Luna's safety from the scrutiny of MOA and some overzealous Saseang fans. We also need to ensure that this remains confidential until the time is right to reveal it to the media."
Yeonjun's dad nodded in agreement, his serious gaze shifting to you. "We as a family are so thrilled that our boy Yeonjun has found his true soulmate. You're a gem. You're even more pretty in person, Chai Luna. Yeonjun has constantly spoken about you with such admiration and pure affection, and we can sense that your bond will be intense."
You blushed beetred, glad that Sammy is not here to tease you.
" Thank you, Mr. Choi."
Yeonjun's mother also has a warm smile on her rosey lips. "Indeed, and we're eager to know more about your gift. Luna. Your family informed us that you have an extraordinary intuition. It's not something we've encountered in real life before. Can you explain how it actually works?" She looked intrigued.
Aunt Ines, who had been observing the guests quietly, decided to speak up on your behalf: "Luna has a rare gift that was passed down through a generation of women, but also skips a generation. Luna got something called Oracle's Mark, which was rare in our family. It is invisible, but it appears long before the soulmark, usually when she's between 8 and 15.Her grandma got hers at 15 years. Luna is gifted with the ability to foresee future events; sometimes it gives her detailed facts, or it might not be so open. She must then interpret it and try to prevent them. It's seen as a burden and a blessing. My sister, Lunas grandmother, got the mark, but it skipped Lunas mum, who unfortunately died a few months ago of a sickness. She is now the recipient of the next generation of seers."
Your family was very wise not to reveal everything about the dark side of this curse, because it's no blessing for you as it comes with fear.
You chuckled, "Yes, and that is how we apparently met. I met Yeonjun through a vision on my first day of a school transfer and have protected him twice from potentially dangerous incidents. It's no coincidence that since then we were intricately drawn together."
Yeonjun smiled and gave your knuckles a rub, "She saved me from consuming contaminated water. We had almost half of the school in the sickbay or hospital. She saved me also from tumbling down a long flight of stairs. She was my angel," His eyes softened as he stared into your eyes, which made you more flustered.
Yeonjun's parents exchanged a look of awe, very much enthralled, "Wow! And you've already saved your soulmate from harm? Twice-already? He is so blessed to have you." Yeonjun's mother uttered, her voice filled with amazement. Your family nodded as your dad just grinned happily.
You nodded, feeling suddenly shy of their admiration of your gift, "Yes, but this gift can be inconvenient and not without its challenges. I saw a classmate's, a girl named Yuna's, death in an alleyway before it happened. It was a rush to get her to change her fate. I was luckily able to prevent it, but sometimes these visions... they're difficult to bear." You bit your lip as you could sense the severity of this burden.
Yeonjun's mother gasped, her manicured hand covering her mouth in awe, "Wow! Incredible... and so terrifying."
Then your Aunt Ines gave a brief account of the Hernandez family history, explaining how the generational women in your family always chose love, but it can often come at a high cost. She didn't elaborate on the gory details.
Yeonjun was listening intently on how the Oracle made Luna sense her soulmate much earlier, his hand inching closer to yours on the table. Now, he understood why it was so tough for her to explain his attraction to her. She already had the awareness. Yeonjun felt almost pained and regret for rejecting her, not knowing her anguish that he brought to her as her soulmate. No wonder she tried to sideline him and almost ignored him. He looked at his parents.
"Luna has to choose between me and her destiny," Yeonjun finally said, breaking the deafening silence. "But she's clearly afraid, based on the history in her family... it makes her fear losing me. This Oracle wants her to choose destiny, but the system wants her to choose love-to choose me. I want her to choose me. " His eyes looked vulnerable, scared to loose you.
You looked at Yeonjun with deep love; a lump formed in your throat, "I really don't want to lose you. Yeonjun. I don't think I could live without you if something happened to you.The whole seer business is so complicated." You softly state with teary eyes.
Yeonjun's fingers grip on your hand tightened, "Lun, you will never lose me. I love you so much, Luna, and I won't and can't let you reject my love. I'm confessing it right now in front of my parents and my management. We're in this together, okay?" His eyes bored in yours with a serious resolve.
The whole family and guests around the table could feel the heavy weight of both your words. Bang PD then spoke again, his voice steady,"Luna and Yeonjun must both give themselves a chance to love each other completely. They can't let the Oracle dictate their happiness...most people aren't that fortunate to meet their soulmate in their teens." You all nod in understanding.
You and Yeonjun had to complete the bond so that your strings could be determined. You were both very nervous.
Bang PD-nim cleared his throat; his expression started to soften, "It seems to me that both the kids have made up their minds. Loving each other isn't something that should be dictated by fear, anxiety, or prophecy by this Oracle. You two have to give yourselves a chance to love. It's now or never."
The room was suddenly silent for a moment before Aunt Ines stood up, "Perhaps it's best if we give the two soulmates some privacy to complete the bond. We need to know the severity of the strings."
With that, she gestured to the two of you as she ushered you bith upstairs to your bedroom room, leaving you alone to face what they had been avoiding thus far.
"This is something the two of you must complete asap. Choose you, Luna, and not the demands of the Oracle. You are made to love and be happy," she said gently before closing the door behind her and walking down the stairs. As the door clicked shut and you were left alone, the air between you felt charged, as though the bedroom knew what was about to happen.
Yeonjun smiled and turned to you, his eyes filled with love and determination, but yours were apprehensive. "Darling, are you ready?" he asked tenderly.
You squeezed his hand, your voice trembling slightly, "I wouldn't be able to live without you if something were to happen to you, Yeonjun." Fear entered your voice. Completing the bond means openly waging war against the Oracle.
Yeonjun furrowed his brows as the grip on your hand tightened; his voice was firm, "I'm desperately in love with you, Luna, and I won't let you reject my love out of fear of this Oracle. Let's choose happiness. Let's choose love. We all deserve a chance at happiness. And no matter what that Oracle might do, we choose us."
You stood in front of each other; the weight of the moment was pressing down on both of you, "Are you ready, darling?" Yeonjun asked softly, his thumb brushing across your cheek. You nodded.
Yeonjun took off his light blue jacket, and you lifted up your sleeves so that the neon soulmarks could bond. Immediately when you place your arms against each other, a blazing neon light emerged, and as the swirls intertwined, two colours appeared in red and gold swirls, cementing your soulbond as deadly. The red-gold string was only visible to the two of you; it glowed faintly, signifying that you were now bound/married to each other. This bond was unbreakable, and the thought of living without each other was impossible yet painful. You are completely bonded; you'll die without each other. You looked at the beauty of your soulmarks, and you couldn't help but tear up.
Yeonjun's heart was racing as he pulled you into his arms, looking down on your flustered face, "Luna, we belong to each other. No more thinking of backing out. I love you with my life, darling."
You inhaled deeply as you look into his tender eyes," I love you Yeonjun. We are in this together." With a smirk on his lips he leaned down and capture your lips in a soft kiss.
Later that afternoon, your families gathered together in the living room eating swert treats, desserts and cakes, the atmosphere was so warm and filled with laughter and cheer.
Yeonjun's parents couldn't stop praising their new daughtee and the deep connection between you and their son was something to behold. The redgold bond had brought your families closer together in a way that was predestined.
You took Yeonjuns hand and lead him out throught the glass patio doors.
In a quiet moment, Yeonjun pulled you aside inhaling deeply, "Luna, you know this weekend was Yejis birthday bash. We obviously didn't felt the awareness. She told me her mark was on her hips. So when I went back to school I asked Yeji to break up. We didn't feel the soulmate awareness or pull. She was obviously very sad but last night she called me to inform me that after her birthday, she met her true soulmate, he is an education student at Yonsei University, and working part-time at a convenience store. They aren't wealthy as such. Yejis chaebol family wasn't so impressed and they want her to reject him and date me, cause they are blue string, but I can't stay with her, Luna. I'm so inlove with you...I want you always, but we can't let anyone know we're together. She will make your life hell for the final weeks before graduation. I wouldn't be able to stand back to protect you and I can potentially expose my feelings towards you."
You chuckled as you look up at him, a deep feeling of relief and joy enveloped you, "I'm so glad you chose me and you followed your heart. We must be very careful and not acknowledge our bond to anyone. Let everyone thinks I'm still the one with the crush on you. She will keep an eye on both of us like a hawk."
Yeonjun grinned,"True, Yeji can be unforgiving and malicious and unfortunately she wants me to reject my future soulmate, which I can never do."
You already felt the dread because Yeji will put all her spies on you and Yeonjun. So you need to be very secretive and careful with your interaction.
Yeonjun smirk took out a small red and gold velvet box from his pocket and opened it up to reveal a beautiful glittering ruby and diamond promise ring, you gasped, "This is my gift to you to cement my devotion to you. Lun, it's my promise that no matter what happens in our lives, know it I'm yours only."
Warm tears welled up in your eyes as Yeonjun slipped the beautiful ring onto your right hand ring finger, you throw your arms around his shoulders and whisper, "I love you, Yeonjun with all my heart."
He smiled brightly, kissing your forehead, "and my love for you is forever."
The guests left pleased before 6pm. Sammy was taken directly by a trainer from school to his trainee classes at the agency. You will tell him later, and hopefully he will keep the secret.
.....
The next day at school.
When you return to school after the trying weekend felt so surreal. You couldn't imagine the rumour mill about what happened the previous week in the restroom. You heard about Yuna, who found you. So you gather that she was the one inside the cubicle. Did she see anything incriminating against you?
When you were instantly the centre of attention among your classmates, though not for the obvious reasons everyone assumed. Dahyun and Chaeyoung did visit you the next day after your incident, and they were so joyful to see you, especially Eunwoo and your fan, Minsung, who waited at the entrance with your favourite flowers and snacks.
The wild rumours about your fainting spell in the restroom had spread like wildfire, and everyone was curious to know what actually happened in the out-of-service restroom. They also heard fantastical tales of Yuna claiming the restroom was haunted, but most of your peers just mocked her and brushed it off as her vaping addiction. Yuna wasn't in the least impressed by the open mockery.
"I just smelled something strange and ice cold in the restroom, and then I fainted," you told them to calm their curiosity; your voice was calm but also distant. "Unfortunately, I just can't remember exactly what made me faint or why? I guess I was just weary of all the exam studies. My body couldn't take the toll. I went to my doctor, and it was just fatique. Thank you guys for understanding."
The girl Yuna, who was suspended for a week after the vaping incident, called you privately and confided in you about her experience. You know she must've been terrified of what she saw in there.
"I've decided to transfer schools next year. My transcripts are already sent for registration at SOPA, and most of my agency trainees are enrolled there," she told you over the phone. You could sense that her voice was laced with bitterness: "I don't want to be in a place where kids make me feel like a fool or be reminded of this haunted place. Something is wrong with Hanlim, Luna. A know a ghost attacked you. I saw you dangling in the air, but nobody believes me."
And what you saw was that no one at school believed that you were truly attacked by a ghost, and it didn't help that you apparently couldn't remember a thing.
But Yeonjun and his family already knew the truth-that choosing the system will work against you and the wrath of the vengeful Oracle was not something to be taken lightly.
Despite the secrecy that you tried to keep, you and Yeonjun managed to maintain a secret dating relationship. He was smitten with you, and he couldn't help his eyes follow you around. During the week, you would secretly meet at an abandoned classroom or hallway during class hours, where you could just slip into each other's arms and enjoy each other's presence.
Your love was growing intensely each moment, though you tried to keep your distance at school as a ploy in front of your friends. During the week he would visit you at home in secret with the help of his managers, often sneaking in through the back door when Sammy was at the agency. When Sammy finally found out that you are mated to the TXT Hyung, his shock was almost too comical. But you both swore him to secrecy. He couldn't tell TxT Kai his friend about your bond with his hyung. Yeonjun couldn't even tell the rest of his bandmates about soulbonding. There will be too many questions unanswered.
Taehyun and Soobin, on the other hand, only thought the two of you secretly liked each other for weeks, even if he dated Yeji then. Yeonjun just decided not to tell them, wanting to keep everything as normal as possible for as long as he could. He will tell them when you are 18 years old the following year.
But his ex, Yeji, couldn't hide her jealousy that he was now single. She even sent Lia to find out if Yeonjun asked you out. Chaeyoung was just laughing as if. Even though you and your soulmate didn't acknowledge each other so much at school, her eyes always seemed to follow you in the hallways and cafeteria, and even when she made her headgirl rounds at your class, her jealous expressions betrayed her inner feelings of wrath against you.
On the last day of the week, she couldn't handle the uncertainty, and she stopped you when she saw you coming out of music rehearsal for your recital. Your breath hitched when her nails dug in your arms.
You looked at her with irritation. "What do you want, Yeji?"
She stood and looked at you with narrowed eyes, already showing her feelings. "You knew Yeonjun and I broke up, didn't you.?
You sigh and pull your hair over your shoulder."Yeji, the whole school knows you are not soulmates, okay. What does your breaking up have to do with me? It's you and Yeonjun's business...so leave me out of your dating mess." You snapped.
Yeji snorts, "Oh, really now. Even if we are not. Yeonjun and I will make up after he rejects his soulmate when he meets her. My soulmate and I are just friends. So, if you think he is free to date you or any Delulu girl... you are clearly mistaken."
You looked at her with incredulous eyes. "Oh wow! Now who sounds delulu? What makes you think he will leave his soulmate for you? Yeonjun was devoted to you even if you are not bonded, but... meeting his soulmate will be on the next level. I'm almost feeling sorry for you. It must really hurt that he doesn't want to be with you even now. Excuse me." You chuckle-snort and sprint to your class, leaving Yeji seething.
She knows you are definitely not his soulmate because you are still seventeen, which frustrated her. Why can't Yeonjun understand that she loves him?
Minsung, the sophomore, seemed to have taken an intensive special interest in you, serving you interesting snacks and candy every day. You could sense the irratation of your soulmate's feelings. Yeonjun hated it, but he unfortunately had to endure it for the sake of your soulmate's secrecy. You'll just shower him with extra kisses when he comes over to help you 'study.' Your aunt Ines was keenly keeping a watchful eye on this redgold string, and she made sure the two of you studied in the lounge.
Chaeyoung and Dahyun were so baffled by the subtle and secret smiles you and Yeonjun exchanged when you encountered each other in the hallways. Chaeyoung wasn't having any of it, and she tried to pry every detail out of you.
You were sitting on the rooftop with Seulgi also. Chaeyoung stood with folded arms.
"So out with it. We saw the sublte interaction; what's going on with you and the idol?" Chaeyoung asked, her curiosity evident as she raised her eyebrows.
You giggled but shrugged, "Gosh! First Yeji, and now you. The truth is, I confessed to him that I like him because he is free. He told me I'm cute, and he likes me to...as a friend, but we can't date because he's 18 and can meet his soulmate anytime." You smirked, and Dahyun was confused at how happy you were, as if you gave up on your feelings so easily, especially Dahyun, who still harbours feelings for Soobin.
It was obviously a half-truth, but it was enough to keep them satisfied-at least for now. Only you, Yeonjun, and your families knew the real depth of your soulbond. And no matter what the cost, you were determined to protect the secret of it.
.....
The Recital
The rehearsals and senior exams were in full swing. The following week, Friday was the highly anticipated musical recital.
Your dad unfortunately had to travel to Busan for business the weekend at his technology conference, and you told him not to feel sad. The rest of the family will support you, take videos, and send them to him.
You and Yeonjun were not together for the days prior to the recital. But the whole school will attend because the tickets were mandatory. He sent you a huge bouquet of flowers and chocolates the Friday before you left for the event. It will be in the school auditorium. The excitement of the instrumental group was high. Yeonjun texted you that the whole band and some managers will go to the recital as Beomgyu would be playing an item solo on an electric guitar.
The afternoon, a heavy storm broke through, but the auditorium was filled with school kids and family members coming to support their kids performances.
Sammy sat with your grandmother and aunt in the second section in front of the stage. Your friends and the rest were backstage preparing for your items.
.
The last notes of the seniors' group performance still linger in the air as the students file off the stage excitedly. The applause was deafening. You and your friends were packing your instruments back into the various cases. You were also done with your solo violin performance. You played a piece by Chopin. One of TXT members, Beomgyu, who was done with his class solos, was helping to pack away. He was very friendly, and while you walked towards the double wooden doors at the back of the auditorium, you heard Mr. Baek call after you.
Mr. Beak is calling, "Luna---Beomgyu, wait a sec! We still need more resin for the violins and cello. Class two forgot to treat their instruments, and you two are done. It's almost interval. The sophomore class solos are up next. Can you two be so kind and get us some from the storeroom?" He was also talking with a class 1 girl who looked distressed.
You nod and quickly volunteer, "Sir, I'll go quickly, Mr. Baek. Maybe Beomgyu can come with me if he doesn't mind." You look hopefully at him. Dahyun and Chaeyoung with the rest of your group are done; they are already sitting in the audience. Beomgyu smiled and decided to go with you. At least you won't be alone going to the music department hallways.
Mr. Baek smiled, nodding, "Awesome, so hurry back; we don't have much time before the next item. We have still two solos left, and then after the interval, the group performance."
As you and Beomgyu sprint down the passages through the chairs to reach the auditorium back entrance doors, Minsung, your cute fan, suddenly intercepted in front of you. You pause quickly, and with a soft smile, he hands you a single red rose. Beomgyu was smiling inwardly. Luna was very popular with guys.
Minsung's huge eyes were smiling, "Wow! That violin solo was so incredible, Luna. Congratulations, you totally slayed it." He said it with admiration.
You smiled shyly, "Erm, thanks, Minsung. That means a lot to me."
Minsung senses your hurry and steps aside for you to run out.You quickly tucked the rose into your bag and followed Beomgyu quickly into the hallway that leads to the music department.
The rain outside intensified as you heard the sound of it against the windows, adding to the eerie silence of the empty hallway. As you sprint-walk, the lights overhead begin to flicker erratically, and your eyes widen in fear.
You were glancing nervously around. "Why do the lights always do that during rainy days? It feels so... weird." You let out a shudder.
Beomgyu chuckled, but he tried to sound reassuring as he saw your fear. "Don't worry. I think it's just the storm messing with the electricity as always. Let's just get the resin and get back quickly.Mr. Baek will kill as if we are a second late."
You nod, then take out your phone from your pocket and fidget some digits by sending two quick text messages before slipping it back into your denim jeans pocket. You already can't shake that familiar feeling that you're not alone.
You grab Beomgyu's elbow, whispering, "Er Beomgyu, something doesn't feel right, I think... Something's might be following us." You looked frantically around.
Beomgyu didn't respond but quickened his pace slightly. As you near the storeroom with relief, the lights suddenly go completely out, plummeting you completely into darkness.
You shrieked, holding tightly onto Beomgyu, "Beomgyu, the...the lights-"you stutter.
Beomgyu furrowed his brows as he tried fumbling with his phone. "Luna, just hold on; I've got a flashlight app here."
But before he could turn on his phone's flashlight, you were already reaching for the storeroom door. You inhaled with relief. You could see the lightning through the hallway window at the end. But the moment your fingers touched the door handle to open the door, you were violently pulled into the room by an unseen force. The heavy iron doors slam shut with the loudest bang, locking you inside. Beomgyu just stood there, shell shocked.
You were screaming out in terror, "Omg! Beomgyu! Please...Help! Please, let me out of here." You start banging on the door, your eyes wild.
Beomgyu stares with shock at the closed doors in, his heart thumping as he heard your frantic cries from within the storeroom.
Beomgyu started to panic, banging on the door. "Luna! Luna, stay calm. I'm going to get help; just hang on! Don't panic. Use your flashlight."
Beomgyu quickly opens his phone with trembling hands and quickly dials Yeonjun's number. He can't understand why he thought of his hyung first.
Beomgyu's voice was shaky. "Yeonjun-Hyung, it's Beomgyu-Luna's trapped in the storeroom! I'm not sure, but... but something... Something pulled her in, and I can't get the door open; please get extra help!"
.....
Yeonjun inhaled deeply as he became immediately alert. Stay there, Beomgyu. Just talked to her to keep her calm. She's scared of the dark. I'm coming. I'll get her Aunt Ines-this could be potentially serious."
Yeonjun's heart raced as he hung up and rushed to find her aunt Ines, who immediately sensed that something was very wrong in the atmosphere when he told the family.
Aunt Ines eyes looked wary as she jumped up with a sinking feeling, "The Oracle... it's at work again.I prayed this wouldn't happen again. Come!" Your grandma stayed put.
Aunt Ines and a hyped-up Sammy, accompanied by Yeonjun, dashed down the dark auditorium where numerous flashlights were on. The director told the audience to remain calm as they are working on the generators. They dashed down darkened corridors. Luna's friends Dahyun and Chaeyoung, who saw them, became worried for her safety and also followed the trio out.
When they reach the storeroom trailing behind Yeonjun and the janitor, the door is still firmly shut. They could hear Luna's desperate banging echoes from the other side and Beomgyu trying to console her.
You were sobbing non-stop, your voice cracking," "Please... hurry... please...something's wrong...in here."
Aunt Ines looked at them frantically." We have to get her out from there, now!"
They guys all try to force the door open, but to no avail. It won't budge. Inside the storeroom, the flickering lights suddenly went on again, illuminating the room briefly.
Before you could exhale relief, a sudden force pulled you in the centre of the room by invisible cords that bind you to the spot. Above you, the heavy iron light fitting begins to sway ominously and dangerously, its chains creaking. Our eyes widen at the sudden icy feeling that envelopes the room.
You tried to move, but you were fixed on the spot. Your voice started to tremble. "Aunt Ines... Beomgyu...I...I can't... move... help me." Fear gripped you.
Then suddenly, from nowhere, black water began to seep up from the floor, pooling around your feet like a serpent and rising rapidly; its coldness was seeping into your bones. Your sneakers were covered in water.
You started whispering to yourself in terror, "Not again! Please, no... please... Leave me alone..."
Outside, Yeonjun, the janitor, and Beomgyu continue with their desperate attempts to break through the iron door. The door was not naturally locked but kept shut by a force.
Yeonjun started to shout, himself starting to panic as his soulmates emotions were starting to affect his. "Guys, we have to get her out of the room. Luna is getting a panic attack! We're running out of time! She might faint again." He and Beomgyu started to help kick the door.
Dahyun and Chaeyoung were pleasantly surprised by Yeonjun's care and protection for Luna. They sense that he does like her back.
With one final, powerful kick of the janitor, the door suddenly bursts open on its own, and they all stumble inside. The sight that greets them was horrifying-almost out of a horror flick, Luna, bound by unseen forces, stood in the middle of the storeroom; tears were streaming down her face as the black water rose around her like a black slithering snake filling up the room. The huge light fitting above Luna sways dangerously as everyone looks up in horror.
Aunt Ines started to cry out," Luna, get away from there. You'll be electrocuted!" Aunt Ines pushes the rest behind so they won't touch the water pools.
Luna seems to be frozen in one place, her eyes wide with terror that mirrored her soulmates fear. The others didn't care but rush towards her, not caring to splash through the dark water too safe their best friend... but it was late.
The light fitting gave way and broke free from the high ceiling with a loud deafening crack, falling straight towards Luna.
Yeonjun & Aunt Ines screaming in unison, "LUNA!"
Everyone screams at once...
Their world as they know it seems to slow down as the massive light fitting crashes down. The room suddenly is plunged into stark darkness, and the last thing Luna heard as her head made contact with the ice-cold tiles was the sound of footsteps rushing towards her, her name being shouted frantically over and over again, before everything goes silent.
...with a heavy, painful weight on you.
