HOOK MAN [PART THREE]

"We stop the Hook Man."
โ€”
"You guys creep me out when you talk at the same time. Stop it."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Sam stands outside the reverend's hospital room, he looks into the small window and sighs as he watches Lori sit by her Dad's bedside, holding his hand while crying. He looks to his right and eyes the Sherrif standing next to him. He's been asking for information from the younger Winchester brother.

Of course, Sam obliges.

"We were just talking. Then Lori's dad came out. And then he appeared."

The Sherrif raises an eyebrow at Sam's words.

"A big man? Carrying a weapon, some kind of hook?"

Sam nods his head, "Yes, sir."

The Sherrif writes what Sam is telling him in his little note pad. He looks back up to the taller but younger Winchester, another question on his mind.

"Ever seen him before?"

Sam shakes his head from left to right, "No, sir."

The Sherrif sighs, everywhere he goes the tall one or the other guy is always there, even the girl, too. He shakes his head as he looks to Sam, a warning in his eyes, a warning that Sam will obviously ignore.

"Son, it seems every time I turn around, I'm seeing you. I suggest you try and stay out of trouble."

Sam nods his head, once again.

"Yes, sir."

See, unlike his brother, Sam corporates with the cops. He just nods his head with a smile, whereas Dean, he always has to backtalk to the police and make it more difficult for himself. And he recalls some instances where Juliet's made it difficult for herself, as well.

Speaking of his best friend, her voice can be heard from down the hall. He turns and sees her and Dean walking down the corridor, his brother holding Harlow on his hip. Two other cops stop them from walking any further. He can see Juliet rolling her eyes before her brown orbs meet his, Sam shakes his head, and just about resists the urgee to turn away and pretend he doesn't know them, just to be annoying, but it's too late as Juliet has already pointed at him.

"Dude, chill. It's alright, we're with him. He's my best friend."

Juliet looks to Sam and enthusiastically waves at him with an exaggerated smile on her face as she does so.

"Hey! Bestie!"

Sam gives Juliet a look but as soon as the Sherrif's eyes are on his face, he gives him a smile. The cop sighs as he turns back to the two other Sherrif's and motions for them to let them go.

"Let 'em through."

Juliet smiles as the Sheriffs' unhand her, she looks to each of them with a cheeky grin on her face.

"Thanks."

She rolls her eyes as Dean watches them with apprehension, he's never been a real big fan of cops and Juliet can see why. They always have to interfere with what they're doing, always picture them as the bad guys. That, and they always miss the obvious, even when it's staring them right in face. Any supernatural thing they've hunted, cops always show up and respond with logic, and how spirits don't exist. So, she can say she's not a big fan of them either.

Harlow, having set her eyes on Sam, wiggles in her father's grip. The said man chuckles as he sets Harlow down on her feet and watches her run to her uncle with a big smile on her face.

"Untle Wammy!"

Juliet laughs at the sound of Harlow's voice. She says it as she's running, causing her little voice to go funny, the best way to describe it would be, it sounds like it's up and then down.

Sam laughs as he crouches down, bracing himself for the impact that is his niece.

"Come here, angel."

Harlow giggles as he picks her up and lifts her into the air, causing her to squeal in joy.

Dean and Juliet share a look as they walk over to Sam, the former of the two looking concerned. Sam had phoned them, he hadn't given them the full details. Just said that he's at the hospital and that something's happened. Of course, Juliet's first thought had been that something had happened to Sam, but Dean calmed her down by being the voice of reason, saying how he sounded fine on the phone and that she may be overthinking it. She had calmed down after that.

"You okay?"

Sam nods his head in reply to his brother's question, he's been nodding his head a lot lately.

"Yeah."

Juliet looks at him, worry in her brown eyes.

"What happened, Sammy?"

The said Winchester sighs, "Hook Man."

Dean raises an eyebrow, "You saw him?"

"Damn right. Why didn't you guys torch the bones?"

Juliet looks down at herself, dirt caking her clothes and face, before looking back up to her friend. She motions to herself, "Do you not see the dirt that's currently on me? Does it not scream, grave digging to you?"

Sam rolls his eyes at her words, each one dripping with sarcasm.

Dean nods his head, pulling a face. "What are you talking about, we did," he gives his brother an unsure look, "Are you sure it's the spirit of Jacob Karns?"

Sam gives his brother a deadpan look, "It sure as hell looked like him. And that's not allโ€”"

Juliet cuts him off, "There's more?"

Sam nods his head, "โ€”Yeah. I don't think the spirit is latching onto the reverend."

Dean gives Sam a look, like what he's saying is obvious. "Well, yeah, the guy wouldn't send Hook Man after himself."

Sam sighs, "I think it's latching itself onto Lori. Last night she found out her father is having an affair with a married woman."

Dean shrugs, "So what?"

Juliet and Sam share a look as the latter of the two adjusts his grip on his niece as Juliet looks to her boyfriend, "Honey, we both know you're not that denseโ€”" Dean gives her an offended look and she's quick to add on that she didn't mean it like that "โ€”and I say that with love, but I think Sammy's right, Lori's religious, she would think it's immoral and against what her father preaches. And the thing is, Lori's been tied to this from the start, what if that college guy got killed because he was pushing himself on Lori?"

Sam nods his head, "Exactly. She told me she was raised to believe that if you do something wrong, you get punished."

Juliet is quick to voice her thoughts, "But I don't think she's aware of it. I think she doesn't know it's her doing it."

Dean nods his head, "Okay, so she's conflicted. And the spirit of Preacher Karns is latching on to repress the emotions and maybe he's doing the punishing for her, huh?"

Sam agrees with him, "Right." He motions to Juliet. "Rich comes on too strong," He starts listing the reasons on his fingers. "Taylor tries to make her into a party girl, Dad has an affair." Dean shakes his head as he looks between his brother and girlfriend, "Remind me not to piss this girl off."

Juliet gives him a look for his use of language, but Harlow doesn't seem to be listening and instead, is playing with zip on her uncle's jacket. Dean continues, "But we burned the bones, Juliet buried them in salt, why didn't that stop him?"

Sam shrugs, "You must have missed something."

Juliet looks as if she's gonna punch him, "Samuel, we're us. We don't miss anythingโ€”" She backtracks when Sam gives her an 'are you serious?' look, "โ€”Okay, I don't miss anything. We burned everything in that coffin, I swear." Dean gives her another offended look, but before he can say anything, Sam asks them both a question, "Did you get the hook?"

Dean and Juliet share a look before the former of the two answers the question with one of his own.

"The hook?"

Sam exhales deeply, "Well, it was the murder weapon, and in a way, it was part of him."

It seems like the dots connect in Dean's mind as he nods his head at his brother, "So, like the bones, the hook is a source of his power."

Sam nods his head, "So if we find the hook..."

"We stop the Hook Man."

Juliet gives both brother's a weird look at hearing them speak in unison. She eyes them as they smile at each other, "You guys creep me out when you talk at the same time. Stop it."

Harlow giggles as Sam sets her on his shoulders as the family of four walk out of the hospital.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet smiles as Sam gently grabs Harlow from his shoulders and mimics an aeroplane noise as he bounces her around causing her to laugh. Sam sets her down on the chair next to Juliet. The said woman smiles down at her daughter, brushing some of her reddish-brown locks from Harlow's face.

"You love your uncle Sammy, huh?"

Juliet's heart just about melts as Harlow smiles up at her, nodding her head vigorously.

"I do, Mama."

Juliet plants a kiss on her daughter's head.

"I'm glad, baby. How about you go and find a book to read?"

Harlow smiles as she jumps off the chair and runs off to go and do just that.

Juliet watches as her daughter runs over to the children's section of the library. Her, Sam and Dean had agreed to come back to the library and do some more research, they now know what they're dealing with, they just need to find out where the hook of the Hook Man is, so they can Kentucky fry the son of a bitch.

Luckily when they were last here, they had asked the woman to keep the boxes of information up for when they come back. Surprsingly, she had agreed and wasn't so miserable about it.

The brown-haired huntress smiles as she looks to Sam and Dean.

"Well then boys, let's get started."

And with that, the three hunters start to dig into the box to see what they can find.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet blows a raspberry as she throws down another useless book. She's sure she looks a mess, her waves have probably turned into knots with the amount of times she's threaded her fingers through her hair, stressed at not finding anything. They've been at it for an hour or two, at most. She looks down at her daughter, who's reading an animal book with pictures, pop-ups and facts about every kind of animal from sea creatures to land animals.

Seems like her daughter is doing some research of her own, just less scary and less boring.

The huntress looks to Sam, letting out a mix between a whine and a sigh as he shakes his head, silently telling her that he hasn't found anything, either. She's about to throw all books onto the floor in frustration, that is before Dean's voice gets her and Sam's attention. They both look to the man in the middle, hoping he's got any sort of information about the preacher's hook.

"Here's something, I think."

Juliet looks at her boyfriend, her eyes narrowed.

"You think?"

Dean moves his hand to rub his girlfriend's back in comfort, not taking his eyes off the page. He knows how Juliet can sometimes get stressed when doing research, it doesn't happen a lot, and when he says a lot he really means rarely, but when it does happen, he's there to take the edge off, even if it's just a little. The oldest Winchester continues with what he was saying.

"Log book, Iowa State Penitentiary. "Karns, Jacob. Personal affects: disposition thereof"."

Juliet looks at her boyfriend after hearing him read from the page, "Does it mention the hook in there, like at all?"

Dean shrugs but winces as Juliet narrows her eyes at him. Knowing that a silent answer won't suffice, he gives a verbal one. "Yeah, maybe." He looks back to the book and starts reading from the page, once more. ""Upon execution, all earthy items shall be remanded to the prisoner's house of worship. St. Barnabas Church"."

Sam gives his brother an inquisitive look, his eyebrows raised in curiosity.

"Isn't that where Lori's father preaches?"

Dean nods his head, "Yeah."

It's Juliet's turn to raise an eyebrow, "Where Lori lives?"

Dean shrugs his shoulders, "Maybe that's why the Hook Man has been haunting reverends' and reverends' daughters for the past two hundred years."

Sam pulls a face, "Yeah, but if the hook were at the church or Lori's house, don't you think someone might have seen it? I mean, a bloodstained, silver-handled hook?"

Juliet nods her head, agreeing with her best friend.

"Sammy's right, Dean. A thing that obvious? Someone would be sure to notice."

Dean nods head, "Check the records."

Juliet sighs as she picks up another book, rolling her eyes as she sarcastically does small jazz hands.

"Yay."

Around twenty-thirty minutes later and Juliet can feel herself about to drift off to sleep before Sam's voice causes her to open her eyes and look at him, she sees him reading from a page from the book he has in front of him.

""St. Barnabus donations, 1862. Recieved silver-handled hook from state penitentiary. Reforged"."

Juliet furrows her brow at hearing Dean sigh as he looks between both her and Sam.

"They melted it down. Made it into something else."

Juliet groans, "Well that's just great."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean parks Baby outside the church, Juliet sits in the back with Harlow as Sam sits in shotgun. All three hunters and Harlow step out of the car. Dean turns to his brother and girlfriend, a serious look on his face.

"Alright, we can't take any chances. Anything silver goes in the fire."

Sam looks back to Lori's house which is near the church they are parked outside of. The younger but taller Winchester brother looks back to Dean and nods his head, "I agree. So, Lori's still at the hospital. We'll have to break in."

Juliet crosses her arms as she looks at Sam, "Well then, take your pick." Sam, without hestitation, smiles as he looks to Lori's house. "I'll take the house." Juliet smirks at that. "That came out a bit too quick." The said Winchester scoffs, "Shut up, Juliet!" The huntress jokingly sighs.

"Wow, the full name," she puts her hand to her heart, her face showing exaggerated hurt, "You wound me, Sammy. To be honest, I'm surprised you haven't kissed her yet."

She looks to Sam when she doesn't hear a reply. Her eyes widen as her mouth drops open at seeing the shade of red on Sam's face.

She pulls a face at him.

"You didn't?!"

"..."

She gasps, "You did?! Sam, you sly dog."

The said Winchester brother just shakes his head, "I didnโ€”" He cuts himself off and sighs, "โ€”It's a long story."

Harlow looks up at her mother and father, "Is Wori my aunt now?"

Juliet refrains from laughing as Sam turns beetroot red in embarrassment. So, instead of replying, he turns tail and makes his way to the house, muttering a "see you in a bit" over his shoulder to the two other adults.ย  Juliet giggles, "Oh, he is so tellin' me 'bout that later."

Dean shakes his head at his girlfriend's antics. "Okay," He quickly turns to Sam before his little brother can get very far, "Hey! Stay out of her underwear drawer." He smirks as Sam turns around just so Dean can see him roll his eyes.

Juliet shakes her head with a smile as she looks at Dean and grabs his arm, "C'mon, we got the church."

The two hunters along with their daughter, make their way toward the church. Harlow asked if she could help, so Dean and Juliet said she could lend a hand with burning things and by that, they mean she can pass them the stuff and they will throw it into the fire.

Just your average break in and even though breaking into a church is against Juliet's moral code, she's sure God will let this one slide as it's for the greater good and it's gonna save lives.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean and Juliet collect anything and everything that is silver and take it down to the Church basement, Dean strikes a match to get the fire going as Juliet sets the bag of silver objects on the floor. She looks to her daughter with a small smile on her face, "Okay, baby, here's what you're gonna do, you're gonna pass every object that is in this bag and pass it me or your daddy. Do you think you can do that?"

She smiles as Harlow nods her head, she gently nudges her daughter's cheek.

"Atta girl."

Harlow smiles at hearing her mom's praise. The little Winchester looks to her father, his voice getting her attention.

"Here comes the hard part, Harls. You have to grab as many objects in your hand and pass it to me and mommy, okay sweetheart? Think of it like a game, yeah?" The hunter grins when his daughter smiles up at him.

"I hwear you, waddy."

Dean smiles as he ruffles her hair, "Okay. Ready, set and go."

And just like that, the mother, daughter and father are working as a team with Harlow grabbing as much silver in her hands as she can and passing it to her parents, the young girl smiles as she watches her parents throw the silver she passes them into the furnace. She's happy to be a part of the team, and even though she's only five, Harlow knows that what her family do is dangerous and she also knows, they keep her out of it to keep her safe, so with moments like these, where she can help out, she'll take it because it means she gets to spend time with her parents. She loves her uncle Sammy, but she does love spending time with just her mom and dad.

Dean and Juliet look up when they both hear the door to the basement opening, they both sigh in relief when they see Sam walking down the stairs, a bag of silver objects in his left hand.

"I got everything that even looked silver."

Juliet nods her head as she motions to Harlow, "Hand it to the silver keeper."

Sam furrows his eyebrows before looking to where Juliet is pointing, he laughs as he looks down and spots his niece looking up at him with a serious expression on his face.

"Wive it to me, wucko."

Sam chuckles as he hands the bag of silver to his niece, who sets it on the floor next to the, now empty, bag that Dean and Juliet had filled up with stuff from the church. Dean shakes his head as he looks to his brother as he throws some silver that Harlow had handed him into the fire, "Better safe than sorry."

Juliet smiles as she takes the last of the silver from her daughter and bungs it into the fire.

As soon as all the silver is thrown into the furnace, Juliet stops in her tracks as the sound of footsteps coming from above can be heard. She looks to Sam and Dean as dust from the floorboards fall through the cracks.

Dean pulls out his gun, along with Juliet and Sam. The huntress turns to her daughter and puts her fingers to her lips, "You're gonna stay down here, okay? We'll be back in a minute. Don't make any noise, you understand?"

Harlow nods her head, a serious expression on her face.

"Okay, mama."

"Good girl."

With that, Juliet follows both Sam and Dean up the stairs, making sure to close the basement door behind her.

All three hunters pause as they spot Lori sitting in a pew, her head bowed as she sniffles and sobs. She's crying.

Juliet lowers her gun as she looks to Sam, her eyes screaming at him to sort his 'girlfriend' out. The said Winchester brother rolls his eyes before walking up to Lori, tucking his gun back into the waist of his pants as he does. He eyes Dean and Juliet who've gone back down into the basement.

Juliet looks to Dean as they decend down the basement steps, "She looked really upset." The oldest Winchester brother nods his head, "I don't disagree with you there, let's leave Sammy to it. They seem to have...some sort of connection."

Juliet laughs as Dean pauses in his words, not sure what Sam and Lori are. The huntress is rooting for them though, and even if it doesn't work out, she isn't gonna back down with her teasing. Juliet understands why Sam gets so on edge and why he wouldn't want to get back in the game so early, it's only been a few months since he lost Jessica.

The huntress shakes her head as Harlow's voice brings her out of her thoughts.

"Who was dat?"

Juliet smiles, "It was just Lori, hon." She has to stop herself from laughing as Harlow looks up at both her and Dean with a look on her face as she places her hands on her hips. "Wey! No one answered my westion on wif Wori if my awunt."

Dean and Juliet share a look before the former of the two bends down to his daughter's height and gently smiles at her.

"Thing is sweetheart, that's kinda not how that works," he gently grabs her hand in his, "See, your uncle Sammy, he lost someone real close to him and that's a hard thing for him to get over."

Harlow tilts her head, a thought playing on her mind.

"You wean, awunt Wessica?"

Dean nods his head, "Yeah..wait," He looks at his daughter with an eyebrow raised, "What do you mean "Aunt Jessica"?"

Harlow bites her lip as she lowers her head in thought, "Sometwimes, when I'm shwaring a woom with Unca Sammy, I wask wim to twell me stwories of rim and waunt Wessica...is dat a bwad thwing?"

Juliet looks to Dean, her heart melting at hearing her daughter's words. She shakes her head, her brown locks flying everywhere as she crouches down next to Dean and takes Harlow's other hand, "No, baby. That's not a bad thing at all, what kind of stories does uncle Sammy tell you about Jessica?"

Harlow smiles, "He twells me abwout wall the wood twimes he's wad with her."

Dean smiles as he looks at his daughter, "He does, huh? Hey, if you feel like you wanna call her aunt Jessica, then you call her aunt Jessica, kid. We're not gonna stop you." Juliet nods her head agreeing with the father of her child, "He's right, Harls, but maybe don't go round calling Lori your aunt, okay?"

Harlow nods her head, a big grin on her face.

"Otay."

The little family moment is brought to a hault as Dean and Juliet hear a banging from above. The hunters look to one another, both having a bad feeling in the bottom of their stomachs. They both nod to one another, Dean turns to Harlow as him and Juliet both get their guns out, "Just like mommy told you before, Harls, stay down here and don't make a sound and whatever you hear, don't come up those stairs until me or mommy say it's safe to, okay?"

Harlow bites her lip but nods her head, knowing that when her parents are serious she should listen.

"Otay."

Dean smiles at her, "Good job, kid."

With that, the mother and father walk up the stairs and out the door, shotguns, filled with rock salt, raised.

It seems they got there just in time, too.

Sam has his back turned, not noticing the Hook Man advancing towards him. Juliet pulls back the hammer, cocking her gun before aiming it at the spirit just as it raises its hook to attack.

"Sammy, drop."

Her best friend does just that, he grabs Lori and pushes her to the floor as Juliet pulls the trigger. She watches as the bullet, filled with rock salt, flies through the air before hitting her target, Jacob Karns. She smirks as the spirit howls in pain before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. She looks to Dean, "That ain't gonna stop it, just slow it down." Her boyfriend nods his head as he and Juliet make their way to Sam and Lori. As they get closer, Juliet notices the scratch on Sam's shoulder. She looks at him concerned, "You okay, Sam?"

He shakes his head, brushing off Juliet's concern with a wave of his hand.

"I'm fine."

Juliet huffs, "Either way, I'm fixing it up for you later."

Sam ignores her and instead turns to Dean, voicing his thoughts.

"I thought we got all the silver?"

Dean looks to him, a puzzled expression on his face. "So did I." Juliet shakes her head at the two, "He's gonna be back any second guys, that bullet's not gonna slow him down for long." Sam shakes his head, "But why is he still here?" Juliet shrugs her shoulders, "We must of missed something."

A glint catches Sam's attention, he looks down to Lori's cross necklace.

"Lori, where did you get that necklace?"

At the mention of her necklace, the reverends daughter clutches the cross in her hand.

"My father gave it to me."

Dean raises an eyebrow, "Where'd your dad get it?"

Lori shakes her head, confused about all the questions about her piece of jewellery.

"He said it was a church heirloom, he gave it to me when I started school."

Juliet starts to panic as she feels a coldness come over the church, "Sam, hurry!" His best friend's panic causes him to be on edge. He turns to Lori, tense as he raises his voice. "Is it silver?!"

Lori nods her head, "Yes!"

That's the one word they needed to hear. Sam rips the chain off from her neck.

A noise from the hallway gets Juliet's attention, she expertly pivots on her feet and expects the spirit of Jacob Karns to be there, but there's nothing, he's invisible. The huntress's eyes widen as she watches the invisible spirit claw at the wall, the sound of the hook against the brick is enough to make her ears bleed. Her breathing stills as the claw mark is making it's way to them, Jacob is making his way towards them. She cocks and loads her gun as fast as she can before aiming and shooting where the scratch marks are.

That ain't gonna hold him for long.

In a flash, Dean turns to his brother and holds his hand out. "Sam!" The said hunter turns at the sound of Dean's voice, he looks at his older brother who has his hand out, and instantly he gets the message.

Sam throws the necklace to Dean, just as Dean throws the gun to him. Both brother's catch the respective items that have been thrown to one another.

Juliet looks to Dean, already feeling his eyes on her.

"I'll stay with Sam while you burn the necklace. I'll try and stall the preacher."

Dean looks unsure and his hesitation causes Juliet to huff, "Dean, we don't have a lot of time. I've been doing this gig since I was four years old." Her boyfriend bites his lip before sighing, "Be careful."

The huntress cocks her gun, a smirk on her face as she salutes her boyfriend with two fingers.

"Always am."

With one last nod of his head, Dean goes back down into the basement while Juliet walks towards Sam and Lori, standing in between the two, waiting for Hook Man to appear.

"C'mon, you son of a bitch. Where are you?"

She looks to Sam to see him trying to reload his gun with one hand as his shoulder is injured, but that's all it takes for the Hook Man to get an advantage. In a blink, he's in front of Juliet. The brown-haired huntress goes to aim her gun at him, but the Hook Man knocks it out of her grip and with one motion of his hand, he sends Juliet flying across the room and into one of the pews. She yelps in pain, as she lands on her wrist in a funny position. She knows it's not broken, but boy it's gonna leave a killer bruise tomorrow.

Sam looks to Juliet, having heard her yelp he goes to call her name but the Hook Man knocks the gun from his hands, too. The younger but taller Winchester brother puts a protective arm out in front of Lori.

Juliet groans as she tries and reaches for her gun, not caring that it's her injured hand. She sees the spirit of Jacob back Sam and Lori into a corner, hovering over them. She see's Hook Man raise his hook, about to bring it down on Sam and Lori.

Just as she gets a secure grip on the gun, Jacob Karns, or the spirit of him, bursts into flames.

Juliet sighs and laughs in relief as she silently thanks Dean in her mind. Although, she will be having words with him later about his timing.

Dean comes out of the door to the basement, Harlow following behind him. Instantly his eyes spot Juliet on the floor, he tells Harlow to go to Sam before rushing over to his girlfriend. "Juliet, you okay?" The said woman groans, "I've never been better."

Dean goes to grab her wrist to help her up, but her yelping gives him pause. He looks down to her wrist and sees that it's swollen, he hisses through his teeth. "Oh, that will not look pretty tomorrow."

Juliet sarcastically laughs, "You're tellin' me."

After helping Juliet up, being careful of her wrist this time, he turns to Sam and Lori and gives them a knowing look.

All three hunters are just glad it's over.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet sighs as she sits in the back of an ambulance...again.

She hates it when some hunts end like this, her being patched up in the back of an ambulance, she could just as easily tend to her own injuries herself.

The paramedics had confirmed that she hadn't broken her wrist, just sprained it. They had put a brace on her wrist which Juliet had rolled her eyes at, it would be taken off as soon as they get a motel tonight.

The brown-haired huntress couldn't jump off from the ambulance quick enough when they gave her the all clear to go. She pulls a face as she examines the strapped brace around her wrist, she groans, not happy about it at all. She makes her way over to Dean, who's talking to one of the Sheriff's, giving him his statement, if you will. The other two Sheriif's are walking around outside the church as another ambulance is parked on the corner, Sam had used that one to get his shoulder looked at.

Dean, holding Harlow's hand, notices Juliet approach from the corner of his eye. As soon as she's in reaching distance, he winds an arm around her waist and pulls her to him as the Sheriff continues speaking to him and now Juliet, too.

"And you both saw him, too? The man with the hook?"

Dean tries his best not to roll his eyes at the cops disbelieving tone.

"Yes, I told you, we all saw him. We fought him off and then we ran."

Juliet nods her head, backing her boyfriend's lie up.

"It's true, sir." She holds up her sprained wrist, "That's how I got this."

The Sheriff raises an eyebrow, not believing that a woman of her stature could take down a man the size that Dean had described.

"And that's all?"

Dean does roll his eyes this time, "Yeah, that's all."

Juliet interanlly groans as the cop sighs, she knows what's coming next as she's heard it a thousand times before and with a sigh like that, it always follows after.

"Listen. You and your familyโ€”"

And there it is.

This isn't the first time they've been asked to leave town and neither is it the first time Dean has cut a cop off with a wave of his hands, already knowing what the cop was gonna finish with.

"Oh, don't worry, we're leaving town."

Juliet smiles as Dean picks Harlow up and sets her on his hip before grabbing her hand and walking over to the car. He opens the car door before strapping Harlow in her booster seat in the back, planting a kiss on her head before shutting the door once she's secure. He looks to Juliet and nods his head to the passenger seat, "You wanna ride shotgun?"

Juliet smiles, knowing that's his way of saying that he listened to what she said about being with him and missing his touch, even if it is his hand on her thigh while he drives.

The brunette nods her head, "When do I ever turn down the offer to sit in the passenger seat?" She grins at Dean, and he returns it before the two get in the car.

Juliet chuckles as her and Dean spot Sam talking to Lori in the side view mirror. The huntress shakes her head, "He's so smitten, it's adorable."

Dean, too, smiles at his little brother. He's always wanted the best for Sam in life and if Lori will be that person to heal his brother then he's willing to stay just that little bit longer, for him. Speaking of his younger brother, a thought pops into his mind. He lays his hand on Juliet's thigh, getting her attention. The hunter makes sure to keep his voice low, just in case Harlow is listening in.

"I spoke to Sam while you were getting patched up in the ambulance."

Juliet furrows her eyebrows, "Okay?"

Dean shakes his head with a chuckle before giving his girlfriend a certain look, "No, Jules. I mean I talked to Sam."

A blush appears on Juliet's face as she connects the dots in her head.

"Oh and?"

Dean smiles, "He said he'll take Harlow and get a seperate room for the night, on one condition."

Juliet raises an eyebrow, "Which is?"

The father of her child smirks, "Well, more like two. First one is, we're not too loud." Juliet laughs and it's like music to his ears. Her brown eyes look deeply into his green hues, a smirk on her face. "Can't make any promises. And the second?"

"That we don't go having anymore kids anytime soon."

Juliet chuckles, "Now, that I can promise."

A pout makes its way onto Dean's lips, "Why? Don't you want anymore kids from yours truly?" Juliet laughs as he motions to himself and she's quick to nod her head, "I do, just not anytime soon. Harlow's only five and this job is hard enough to do with one kid. That, and we're too busy with finding John and putting a stop to the thing that killed your mother and Jessica."

Dean nods his head, knowing that Juliet is right, he lets out a humorless laugh.

"Do you remember when Harlow was six months old and I refused to leave her crib or your side. I was so scared that the same thing that happened to my mom would happen to you," he shakes his head, "I didn't sleep a wink that night. Dad had something to say about that the next day, shouted at me for being to sluggish on the hunt we went on the following day. I tried to explain why I wasn't as alert as I am, but he didn't wanna hear it, told me that I was being ridiculous."

Juliet bites her lips after hearing that before grabbing his hand that's on her thigh.

"Hey, we're still here, aren't we? Harlow ain't going anywhere anytime soon, not if we have something to say about it, and me? I still have a lot of life and fight left in me, I promise. If I were to die, I wouldn't go out without a fight." She chuckles, "I mean, seriously, they'd have to deal with me kicking and screaming. We ain't leaving this earth anytime soon, Dean. I promise you that."

The said man smiles as he leans in and kisses her on the lips with passion, pouring all his love and adoration into the kiss. When he pulls away they're both breathless, panting.

Juliet smiles up at him, her face red. The only person who can cause her heart to feel like it's about to beat out of her chest is him. Only he can cause her to get so flustered, she has trouble speaking. Only he can leave her so breathless and with butterflies in her stomach. It's always been him for her, just like it's always been her for him.

She laughs as she sets her hand on his chest,
"Woah, slow down there, big boy and save it for tonight."

Dean goes to reply but the sound of footsteps causes him and Juliet to look in their respective side view mirrors, she smiles as she sees Sam walking over to the car. He gets in the back, beside Harlow.

Dean looks at him from the rear view mirror, "We could stay here?"

Juliet nods her head, "We could, y'know? It wouldn't be the first time we've disobeyed a cops orders."

But Sam just shakes his head.

Juliet sighs as she can see the sad look on Lori's face as she looks at the car, hoping that Sam would step out and walk back over to her, but he doesn't. Instead, she hears the roar of the Impala's engine as Dean turns the ignition and drives away.

Juliet groans as she stands in the motel bathroom, trying to get her stupid brace off.

They had just got back into their room from tucking Harlow in for the night. The kid just wouldn't go to sleep, it took them about five bedtime stories before she eventually drifted off to sleep with the night light on, of course.

The bathroom door is ajar and the light seeps into the motel bedroom, where Dean is sitting on the bed just in his shirt and underwear. Hearing her groan, he makes his way over to the bathroom and peers in as he leans against the doorframe.

"What are you doin'?

Juliet sighs, "I'm trying to get it off but the strap ain't movin'."

Dean chuckles, "Here, let me." He walks over to her and gently takes her bruised wrist in his hands and undoes the straps for her. He sighs, "You know, you should really have this on until your wrist is healed."

Juliet peers up at him through his eyelashes.

"Really? You're gonna lecture me on how I should keep a cast/brace on? The guy who once had a broken arm and cut through the cast with a bone saw?"

"You're not me, and that cast was too itchy. Didn't like it, at all."

Juliet smirks, "Just like how I don't like this brace on my wrist."

Dean shakes his head as he undoes the last strap and gently removes it from her wrist.

"Better?"

Juliet moves her wrist around with a smile on her face, "Much. Besides, it's only a sprain. It's not like it's broken."

Dean sighs, "What am I gonna do with you?"

Juliet bites her lip as she lays both hands on his chest, feeling his chisled body under his shirt. His abs are just to die for. She peers up at him with a sultry look on her face, "Oh, I could thing of a few things that you can gladly do to me," she raises her eyebrows, a smirk on her face, "If you catch my drift."

Dean swallows the lump in his throat, "Oh, I do. I really do."

With that, he lifts her up and takes her into the motel bedroom, gently setting her down on their bed.

Juliet had discarded her clothes and bra, with the help of Dean, on their way to the bed. She's just left in her panties.

Juliet can feel her heart beating faster as she watches Dean crawl over her, kicking his boxers off along the way. She pauses in anticipation as Dean lowers himself so their bodies meet. He leans down and kisses her, his tongue breaking through her lips and meeting hers with a clash, it's an immediate fight for dominance, a battle which Dean always suceeds in.

The huntress groans as Dean's lips travel down her neck, sucking at her sweet spot. She does the thing that she knows he loves the most, she starts threading her fingers through his hair, tugging at his blondish brown locks eliciting a moan of pleasure from him.

She lets her head fall back as Dean moves on from her neck to her breasts, making sure to suck each of her nipples, giving equal amount of time to each one. His green eyes never leave her brown ones as he kisses down her toned stomach, he grabs each end of her knickers and slowly pulls them down her legs, building up the tension in the room. He throws them across the motel room, not caring where they end up, before going back down on her.

Juliet throws her head back as Dean takes his time to kiss up her inner thighs, the electicity she feels after each kiss never gets old. She grabs a fistful of the covers as Dean jutts his tongue in and out of her, building up a rhythm. His tongue eventually leads him to her pearl, which he takes his time giving it his attention. He chuckles as he sees Juliet come undone right before his eyes, the vibrations from his chuckle on her clit is enough for her to see stars, but he doesn't want her to finish just yet.

He stops, much to Juliet's annoyance. She whines as she looks down at him,a pout on her full lips. "Why'd you stop? I was enjoying that."

Dean shakes his head with a chuckle, "You ain't gettin' off that easy."

Juliet frowns, but when Dean leans in to kiss her once more, it's replaced with a smile.

Dean hovers over her, once more. His arms lay either side of her, propping himself up as he pulls away from the kiss to look at her, "You're on the pill right?" Juliet nods her head, out of breath from kissing, her hands on the back of his head. "Yes. Now shut up and kiss me, lover boy."

Dean smirks, not needing to be told twice.

"Yes, ma'am."

Juliet rolls her eyes, having had enough of the chat. She pulls his head to hers and kisses the life out of him, tongues clashing once more in a battle of domiance.

Dean moans into the kiss, sending shivers down her spine.

As they're kissing Dean lines up his member with her opening before easing it in nice and slow. Juliet moans at the feeling of his fullness as she scratches his back with her nails, that are sure to leave marks, but they don't care. They've both been needing this for a long time. It's not just sex to them, it's physical contact with one another, touch that they're both been craving for...one another's touch.

Dean pumbs in and out of her, both of their bodies moving in rhythm. Both moaning and groaning at the feel of one another as they work up a sweat, muttering each other's names from their lips.

Only for their ears only.

Dean groans as he feels himself about to come undone.

"Oh, baby. I'm almost there."

Juliet, out of breath, nods her head, her brown locks flying everywhere.

"I'm ready, Dean. Give it all you got, hon."

And those words are enough for Dean to release his load, letting out a long groan as he does so. Juliet joins him seconds after. Dean sighs as he buries his face in her breasts, exhausted. Any other occasion, Juliet would do wonderful things with her tongue to give him a sweet sense of relief, but tonight is all about her and he's just fine with that. He looks at his girlfriend, lying underneath him, beautiful as ever.

Juliet brushes her fingers through his hair as he exits her, leaving her with this empty feeling.

The two lay like that, revelling in the comfortable silence that's between them. They just enjoy each other's embrace and eventually, that comforting feeling and just being in each other's arms, is enough to lull them both to sleep.

Author's Note

And there we have it, the last part to the episode 'Hook Man' is published!

You know what that means, we're getting closer and closer to the 'Scarecrow' episode. *Laughs evily as I rub my hands together* ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

See, I know how things are gonna go down in the episode, you guys however, will just have to wait and see ;)

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, I tried my best with the sex scene between Dean and Juliet, I hope I kinda did it justice, this is my first time writing out a sex scene, so please don't judge too harshly.

And as promised, you did see more of Harlow in this chapter, that girl's sass is just amazing.

The next episode is another one of my favorites, 'Bugs'. Most SPN fanfics I've read, seem to always skip that episode but I don't tend to.

In the next episode, you will kinda get a glimpse of the Winchester-Sullivan family living an apple pie life, and by that I mean you'll get to see them squat in an empty house.

Anyway, as always please don't forget to vote and comment your thoughts on this chapter and I will see you all in the next chapter,

until then...โค๏ธ
