I dedicate this chapter to Angel_of_Roses1 for giving me the idea that comes into play at the end of this chapter.

BLOODY MARY [PART THREE]
This one is a long chapter
___

"Wh-what the hell?"
โ€”
"You've killed him. John is dead because of you! If you had just told the truth, he would still be alive."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet is sitting on the left side of Charlie as Sam sits on the teen's right. Dean being Dean, sits on the back of the bench. The mother and father make sure to keep a watchful eye on Harlow as she plays in the park with a few other girls her age. Juliet turns back to Charlie as the teen's voice starts to crack in sadness.

"And they found her on the bathroom floor. And herโ€”her eyes. They were gone."

"I'm sorry."

Dean and Juliet share a look as Sam gives the teenager his condolences.

The two Winchester brother's and Sullivan descendant had just sat down on the bench when Charlie had explained what had happened to her friend Jill, the one that was eyeing Dean up at the memorial service of Stephen Shoemaker.

Charlie had explained that Jill and her were on the phone last night, just talking, she didn't say what they were talking about, though, just that Charlie was trying to tell Jill what she thought about the whole 'Bloody Mary' thing. Jill, though, wasn't convinced and played a prank on Charlie by saying it into the mirror and then playfully screaming before bidding the teen goodnight.

A few hours later, Charlie had gotten the call saying that Jill had been killed, a stroke they told her.

So, here they all are now, trying to console Charlie.

The said teen looks between the three hunters.

"And she said it-"

Dean looks down to Sam, his brother meeting his gaze. Juliet sees the interaction and furrows her eyebrows before the three face Charlie, once again. The blonde teen, having not noticed the look, continues with what she's saying.

"-I heard her say it. But it couldn't be because of that. I'm insane, right?"

Juliet glances at Harlow, who's still playing around in the park, before looking back to Charlie and shaking her head, "No, I wouldn't say you're insane." The blonde teen looks up at the brunette with a deadpan look on her face as she shrugs both shoulders with a sigh. "Oh God, that makes me feel so much worse."

Juliet rolls her eyes as Sam, always being the sympathetic one out of the three, gives Charlie a small smile. "Look. We think something's happening here. Something that can't be explained." Juliet nods her head, agreeing with Sam. "And we're gonna put an end to it, but to do that, we're gonna need your help."

Charlie eyes the three hunters with a furrow in her eyebrows as Juliet just smiles.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet sits below Jill's bedroom window with Dean in front of her and Sam below her. The huntress smiles as she hears Harlow try and supress her giggles as the little Winchester clings onto her father's back.

Dean, to, smiles. Hearingย  his daughter's giggles is enough to make the hunters heart swoon with love only a father could understand.

Juliet sighs with relief as she hears the bedroom window slide up, Charlie having let them in. She winces, however when she hears a thud and then a cuss and then a small giggle.

Juliet shakes her head as climbs the rest of the way and slides into the bedroom with a grace that only a hunter would have. The brunette looks down to see Dean on the floor and Harlow giggling quietly with a hand over her mouth.

Juliet turns as Sam is next to climb through the window. The younger but taller Winchester also surveys the scene with a raised eyebrow.

Juliet sighs in amusement as she holds a hand out for Dean to grab. The dark blonde Winchester grabs onto his girlfriend's hand and grunts as Juliet hauls him up and off of the floor.

"You alright, hon?"

Dean groans before nodding his head, "Wasn't expecting the floor to be that low. I, somehow, just about switched my body over so I would break Harlow's fall."

Juliet smiles as she cups Dean's cheek with her hand.

"You deserve a father of the year award, really."

Dean smiles at that and grabs the back of her hand that's caressing his cheek.

"And you deserve a mother of the year award."

His words have Juliet blushing.

Charlie, who's watching the small moment, smiles before turning to Sam as the younger Winchester brother speaks to the teen.

"What did you tell Jill's mom?"

Charlie bites her lip, nervous. She never was good at lying.

"I needed some time alone with Jill's pictures and things."

The blonde teen watches as Juliet pulls out a camera from the bag that Sam had brought up with him. The blonde moves her eyes to Dean as the hunter shuts the curtains before moving her eyes back to Sam who's walked over to the bedroom door.

"I hate lying to her."

Dean looks to Charlie. "Trust us, this is for the greater good." He then turns to Sam and nods his head, "Hit the lights."

Sam does just that.

Juliet turns the camera on and turns around with a smile on her face.

She then looks to Dean, the smile still on her face.

"Night vision?"

Dean reaches over and presses a button on the cam corder.

Juliet's smile widens as the picture is changed to night vision.

"Perfect."

She turns the camera around and looks through it before aiming it at Dean.

The said Winchester pouts.

"Do I look like Paris Hilton?"

Juliet scoffs a laugh before handing the camera to Sam, who then points it at her.

Juliet flips her hair before smiling into the camera lens.

"Do I look creepy?"

Sam looks over the camera and to Juliet, nodding his head.

"Just a bit."

Sam then leads the way, with the camera, towards Jill's closet door before opening it and starts filming the mirror.

Juliet stops Harlow just as she's about to follow her into the closet.

"Uh-uh, you stay out here."

Harlow huffs but does what her mom says and sits on the bed with her arms crossed and a pout on her lips. She's in strop mode.

Juliet rolls her eyes. She knows that Harlow feels a little left out when they're hunting but she's young and over Juliet's dead body would Harlow grow up being hunter just like them, she says that but it would be hypocritical of her to stop her, considering all the hunts the young girl has been on and although she doesn't deal with the nitty and gritty of hunting, she still watches her family do it, so yes, it would be wrong of her to stop her and maybe when Harlow is older she'll probably resent her for it but maybe as she grows up, she'll understand why.

Yes, it may be hypocritical of her, but she would do it out of love and protection.

Juliet wants the best in life for her daughter, to go to school, to have a home, to not be scared at night and maybe one day, her daughter will have that. She'd rather Harlow have that life than a life where she's hunting what goes bump in the night until eventually what she's hunting catches up to her.

That's a hunters life, surviving, because all hunters know that the only thing worse than how it starts, is how it ends.

Sam's voice snaps Juliet out of her little monologue.

"So I don't get it. I mean...the first victim didn't summon Mary, and the second victim did. How's she choosing them?"

Dean, shrugs his shoulders.

"Beats me."

The older Winchester brother then turns to Juliet.

"What about you, scully? Any ideas?"

Juliet hums in thought before also shrugging her shoulders.

"My brains gone blank but I still think it's a spirit."

Dean chuckles, "Oh, I can't wait to see your face when you turn out to be wrong."

Juliet fakes a laugh before turning to Sam, a thought playing at her mind.

"Anyone else wondering why Jill said it in the first place?"

Dean raises his hand, silently saying that he's wondering the same thing as well.

All three hunters turn to Charlie in unison.

The blonde teen shrugs, "It was just a joke."

The dark blonde Winchester scoffs.

'When will people learn?'

Dean shakes the thought from his head, "Yeah well somebody's gonna say it again, it's just a matter of time."

Juliet walks over to Sam, holding her hand out for the camera.

The taller Winchester passes her the device and watches as she walks off and into the en suite bathroom.

Juliet films the bathroom mirror.

"This feels like that movie, Paranormal activity."

Juliet scoffs at her own words before continuing to film around the mirror.

Juliet furrows her eyebrows before looking closer into the lens of the camera.

She tilts her head as she sees trickles of some sort of liquid that looks to be running out from the bathroom mirror. It looks as if it's coming from behind it.

The brunette turns and pokes her head around the bathroom door and looks towards the two other hunters in the room.

"Hey, guys."

Dean, Sam and Charlie turn to Juliet, giving her their full attention. The huntress' brown eyes land on Dean. She lifts her right eyebrow at him. "We have a black light in the trunk, right?"

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet, with Sam's help, carries the en suite bathroom mirror and lays it on Jill's bed. She makes sure to lay it so the reflection is faced down, the back of the mirror is facing upwards. Juliet, not looking up, catches the black light that Dean throws her. The blonde haired Winchester went down to the car to get it before bringing it back up. He had to climb out and back in through the window, of course.

Juliet turns the black light on as Dean comes up behind her and wraps an arm around her waist. The two watch as Sam strips back the brown paper on the back of the mirror.

Harlow stands next to Charlie, in a mood because she had to move from the bed and she was comfortable. The young girl looks around Jill's room, a little envious because she could only dream of having a life like this; a comfortable bed, posters on the wall and a desk. The five year old would love to have a desk and a room.

If she did, maybe she'd put her drawings on the wall, or maybe she'll put them on the fridge so her mom and dad could look at them whenever they wanted, her uncle included of course.

The little Winchester shakes her head as she looks back to her father, mother and uncle.

Juliet shines the light over the area where Sam had pulled off the paper, she furrows her eyebrows when she sees a handprint followed by a name. 'Gary Bryman.'

Charlie furrows her eyebrows, "Gary Bryman?"

Juliet looks up at the teen, a dark eyebrow raised in curiousity.

"You know him?"

Charlie shakes her head in answer to the huntress' question.

"No."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean, Juliet, Charlie and Harlow sit outside on the park bench, waiting for Sam to come back.

The younger Winchester brother had gone to check who 'Gary Bryman' is and what connections he may have had to Jill.

Juliet put in her theory that maybe the name they found somehow has a connection to Jill. It was just a theory but it's good to cover all bases, she thinks.

The hairs on the back of Juliet's neck stands to attention, the brunette slows her breathing and tunes in to her hearing, she hears a twig snap from behind her.

The brunette rolls her eyes as she lets out a sigh.

"Don't even think about it, Sam."

Juliet turns around and smirks as she sees the deafeated expression on his face at failing to sneak up on her.

Dean laughs at his brother's face.

"Unlucky, Sammy."

The taller Winchester brother sighs, "How do you do that?" Juliet winks, "Like I've told you before, Sam "A hunter never reveals their tricks." Anyway, what did you find?."

Sam winces as if he can still feel the pain of Juliet's fist making contact with his jaw when he tried to sneak up on her as a kid but it backired terribly on him. In fairness, Juliet did warn him that the next time he did it, he would face the consequences.

Sam leans on the back of the bench as he answers Juliet's question.

"So, Gary Bryman was an eight year old boy. Two years ago he was killed in a hit and run. The car was described as a black Toyota Camry. But nobody got the plates or saw the driver."

The hunters turn their attention to Charlie as the teen exhales deeply.

"Oh my God."

Juliet raises an eyebrow.

"What?"

"Jill drove that car."

Dean shares a look with both Juliet and Sam, all three hunters having a silent conversation. The older Winchester brother's apple green eyes then meet Charlie's blue hues once again.

"We need to get back to your friend Donna's house."

Charlie nods her head as she quickly walks to her car, the hunters doing the same.

As the family of four make their way to the Impala, Juliet can't help but smirk despite the situation.

"Maybe you guys should listen to my theories more often."

Dean shakes his head, "Not the time, babe."

"Yeah, you're probably right."

They quickly get into the Impala and make their way to Donna's house with Charlie following behind them.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean, Juliet and Sam are back in the Shoemaker's bathroom, Juliet holds the black light as Dean and Sam hold the bathroom mirror. The brunette huntress shines the light like she did before and just like they thought, a name is shown with another handprint.

Juliet looks up at the two Winchester boys.

"Linda Shoemaker."

The hunters make their way downstairs and into the kitchen where Donna, Charlie and Harlow are.

The three hunters start questioning her but Donna is reluctant and a little angry at the weird questions being thrown her way and her reluctance and anger is starting to get on Juliet's nerves.

"Why are you asking me this?"

Juliet sighs in exhasperation, "I know it must be hard for you, but we need to know."

Sam nods his head, agreeing with what Juliet is saying.

"Look, we're sorry, but it's important."

Donna sighs in frustration, "Yeah. Linda's my mom okay? She overdosed on sleeping pills, it was an accident, and that's it. I think you should leave."

Dean shakes his head, "Now Donna, just listen."

Donna just shakes her head, she's angry again.

"Get out of my house!"

Juliet watches as the Shoemaker's daughter runs upstairs. The brunette sighs, "Some people just can't take it." Dean nods his head in reply, agreeing with his girlfriend.

Charlie's eyes widen while looking at the hunters, a thouht having struck her.

"Oh my God. Do you think her dad could've killed her mom?"

Sam nods his head, "Maybe."

Charlie winces as Donna slams her bedroom door before sighing.

"I think I should stick around."

Juliet nods her head, "Okay, but whatever you do, don'tโ€”"

Charlie cuts her off with a look, "Believe me, I won't say it."

Juliet smiles, "Good."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

The three hunters sit in the library, Juliet is going through old records, checking she didn't miss anything, and while the three hunters work, Harlow is tucked away in the corner reading a children's book called Babar which is a book about her favorite animal, elephants.

Juliet's brown hues move from her daughter's tucked up frame and onto Sam, who seems to be checking the stuff that's been posted on the bulletin board. Her chocolate brown orbs then move to Dean who's on one of the library's computers.

Juliet does a double take as she see's what Dean is doing.

"Hon, y'know you're doing a nationwide search, right?"

Hearing that, Sam walks over and stands behind his brother. "Wait, wait, wait, you're doing a nationwide search?"

Juliet gives Sam a deadpan look, "There must be an echo in here." Sam rolls his eyes, playfully before concentrating on what Dean is doing. The said Winchester brother, huffs. "Yep. The NCIC, the FBI database-at this point any Mary who died in front of a mirror is good enough for me." Juliet nods her head in agreement, "I'm with you there."

"But if she's haunting the town, she should have died in the town."

Juliet smirks, a lightbulb going off in her head.

"Speaking of hauntings, the only supernatural thing that we know can do that is a spirit, which means I was right." She looks over to Dean and holds out her hand expecting something. "C'mon babe, a bet's a bet. Pay up."

Dean sighs but digs his hand into his back pocket and pulls out his wallet before opening it and pulling out a twenty dollar bill.

Juliet smirks as Dean hands it over to her, she thanks her boyfriend before stashing the cash in her back pocket.

Dean grumbles to himself before turning to Sam.

"I'm telling you there's nothing local, I've checked, Juliet has checked. So unless you got a better ideaโ€”"

Sam cuts him off, "The way Mary choses her victims, it seems like a pattern."

Juliet nods her heads at Sam's words, "I get what you mean, I was thinking it also." Dean nods his head, "Me, as well."

Sam lifts his head up and down in a nod.

"With mister Shoemaker and Jil''s hit and run."

Dean's eyes widen as what Sam is saying hits him.

"Both had secrets where people died."

"Right. I mean there's a lot of folklore about mirrors-that they reveal all your lies, all your secrets, that they're a true reflection of your soul, which is why it's bad luck to break them."

Dean nods his head, "Right, right. So maybe if you've got a secret, I mean like a really nasty one where someone died, then Mary sees it, and punishes you for it."

Juliet stares off into space, her words vacant.

"Whether you're the one that summoned her or not."

Dean a piece of paper that he had printed out, "Take a look at this." On the piece of paper there's a picture, a picture of a woman laying in a pool of blood, her own blood. Juliet watches as Dean prints out another picture, except this one is of a handprint.

Juliet analyzes it before something clicks in her brain.

"It's the same handprint."

Dean nods his head as he starts to get up. He looks to his daughter.

"C'mon, Harls."

The five year old pouts, "Aww, I was just abwout to get to the gwood pawt."

Dean chuckles as he holds out his hand, "Maybe if you're well behaved, Santa will get it for you for Christmas."

Harlow smiles at that and grabs onto her dad's hand as the family of four walk out the building.

While still holding his daughter's hand, Dean turns to Juliet and Sam.

"Her name was Mary Worthington an unsolved murder in Fort Wayne, Indiana."

Although she knows that Dean is speaking, Juliet can just hear muffled words.

Her heart is beating first, she has a secret, a dangerous secret that could have gotten someone killed.

'John. Does that mean I'm on Mary's hit list, as well.'

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean, Juliet, Sam and Harlow are sitting opposite the detective, who worked on the Mary Worthington case.

They had traveled up to Fort Wayne, Indiana to know a bit more about Mary's murder and a bit more about the case. Juliet's exact words were; "The more info we have, the better."

So, after finding out who had worked Mary's case and getting information about the leading detective on the case, Dean drove the Impala to Indiana so they could speak to the man, the detective, themselves.

The family of four sit at the detective's desk, listening to him talk about the events that happened when he was working the case.

"I was on the job for thirty-five years-Detective for most of that. Now everybody packs it in with a few loose ends, but the Mary Worhtington murderโ€”that one still gets me."

Juliet tilts her head in curiousity, wanting to know every bit of detail there is to know about Mary's death. "What happened, exacty?"

The detective narrows his eyes at the three hunters, still trying to work out if they are who they say they are.

"You guys said you were reporters, right?"

Juliet nods her head, silently answering for all three of them.

"We know Mary was 19, lived by herself. We also know that she won a few beauty contests, dreamt of getting out of Indiana, being an actress."

Sam nods his head, agreeing with his fellow hunter.

"And we know the night of March 29th someone broke into her apartment and murdered her, cut out her eyes with a knife."

The detective nods his head, his dark eyes reflecting the horror, that was Mary's murder scene, that he had went through. Juliet wouldn't be surprised if the poor bloke suffers from PTSD from the whole ordeal.

"That's right."

Sam nods his head, "See sir, when we asked you what happened, we wanted to know what you think happened."

There's a silence that hangs in the air for a nano second, the detective thinking on Sam's words before going over to a cabinet.

Juliet's brown eyes watch the detective's frame as he opens the second to last cabinet draw and pulls out a file before walking back to his desk and sits on his chair.

"Technically I'm not supposed to have a copy of thisโ€”"

The detective then proceeds to open the file and show the inside content to the three hunters. The detective shows them a photo that the three hunters had come across on the computer in the library.

Juliet is thankful that the detective is aware that there is a child present, he angles the contents of the file so only him and the three hunters can see the photo.

It's the picture of the crime scene, Mary's body still in the picture.

Juliet's chocolate brown eyes narrow as she sees the three letters that were beginning to be spelt out on the mirror, in what looks like blood.

The detective seems to have noticed that Juliet has noticed that as he points it out seconds later.

"โ€”now see that there? T-R-E?"

Dean nods his head, "Yeah."

"I think Mary was trying to spell out the name of her killer."

Sam raises an eyebrow, "You know who it was?"

"Not for sure. But there was a local man, a surgeon-Trevor Sampsonโ€”"

The detective pulls out a photo from the file. The photo is of a man, the man that the detective thinks is the killer.

"โ€”and I think he cut her up good."

Juliet shakes her head, thoughts running through her head a mile a minute as well as questions.

"Wait-why would he do something like that?"

The detective's eyes meet Juliet's brown ones. "Her diary mentioned a man that she was seeing. She called him by his intial, "T". Well her last entry, she was gonna tell "T's" wife about their affair."

Juliet furrows her eyebrows, "I get that, but how do you know it was Sampson who killed her?"

The detective shrugs, "It's hard to say, but the way her eyes were cut out...it was almost professional."

Dean nods his head in understanding.

"But you never could prove it?"

The detective shakes his head, "No. No prints, no witnesses. He was meticulous." Juliet raises an eyebrow as she voices the question that's on her mind. "The suspect, is he still alive?" The detective shakes his head, once again. "Nope." Juliet watches as he sits down with a heavy sigh. "If you ask me, Mary spent her last living moments trying to expose this guy's secret. But she never could."

Dean and Juliet share a look as Sam looks to the detective in curiousity.

"Where's she buried?"

Juliet, along with Dean, looks to the detective, both of them wondering the same thing but to their disappointment, the detective shakes his head, again. "She wasn't. She was cremated."

Juliet sighs under her breath,

'That's gonna make it that little bit harder.'

Dean's voice brings Juliet out of her thoughts.

"What about that mirror?"

The chocolate brown eyed brunette, looks over to her boyfriend to see him nodding to the mirror in the picture that the detective had showed them.

"It's not in some evidence lockup somewhere is it?"

The detective looks to the mirror in the picture before looking up at the three hunters.

"Ah, no. It was returned to Mary's family a long time ago."

Juliet gives the detective a small smile.

"You don't happen to have the names or contact details of her family by any chance, do you?"

The brunette's smile widens as the detective nods his head.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Dean drives down the road, Sam sits in the passenger seat, finishing up a phone call, while Harlow is passed out in her booster seat as Juliet looks at Sam while he's on the phone. Sadly and to her annoyance, Juliet can't hear what the person is saying on the other end of the line, but she can hear Sam.

The younger but taller Winchester brother is calling up the numbers that the detective had given them, trying to see if any one of Mary's family members still has the mirror that was at Mary's crime scene, so far there hasn't been much luck but this one sounds to be promising, judging by Sam's reply.

"Oh really? Ah that's too bad Mr. Worthington. I would have paid a lot for that mirror. Okay, well maybe next time."

There's a pause as the man speaks on the other line.

"All right, thanks."

Juliet watches Sam as the Winchester hangs up the phone.

Sam meets her eyes before glancing at his brother as his voice breaks their little staring contest.

"So?"

Sam sighs, "So that was Mary's brother. The mirror was in the family for years, until he sold it one week ago to a store called 'Estate Antiques'. A store in Toledo."

Dean glances between his brother and the road.

"So wherever the mirror goes, that's where Mary goes?"

Sam nods his head, "Her spirit's definitely tied up with it somehow." That's when a thought strikes Dean's brain. "Isn't there an old superstition that says mirrors can capture spirits?" Sam nods his head, again, while Juliet looks at her boyfriend in astonishment.

"Yeah there is. Yeah, when someone would die in a house people would cover up the mirrors so the ghost wouldn't get trapped."

Dean goes to reply but the look on Juliet's face in the rearview mirror catches his attention.

"W-what's wrong? What's that face for?"

Juliet shakes her head but there's a hint of a smile showing on her full lips.

"Nothing."

But Dean knows her better than the back of his hand, that and he caught the small smile playing on her pink lips.

"No, it's something."

Juliet relents, "It's just...you're good at your job, y'know that?"

A prideful smile makes its way onto Dean's face, his hearts doing somesaults at Juliet's compliment. Only she can make his heart beat so much that he feels it through his chest and if her were a cartoon character, he has the feeling that people could see it beating through his shirt.

With the smile still on his face, Dean says what he was going to say earlier, before Juliet fired the compliment his way.

"So Mary dies in front of a mirror, and it draws in her spirit."

Juliet nods her head, already knowing where Dean's thought process is going.

"The question is, how could she move through a hundred different mirrors?"

Dean shrugs his shoulders in reply to his girlfriend.

"I don't know, but if the mirror is the source, I say we find it and smash it."

Juliet nods her head, agreeing with Dean's plan.

"I agree with that."

Sam looks between his brother and his bestfriend. Juliet knows what he's thinking, she can see it in his dark eyes. Sam has always been the empathetic and sympathetic out of the three of them.

"Yeah, I don't know, maybe."

Juliet goes to reply but the sound of her cell ringing, stops her.

The brunette fishes her phone out of her pocket, she squints her eyes from the brightness of her screen.

After the effects of the brightness of her phone screen wears off, Juliet narrows her eyes not recognizing the number, but she answers anyway.

"Hello?"

A look of concern shows on the hunters features as the sound of Charlie's voice through her phone speaker greets her ears. The teen's voice is laboured, like she's out of breath and Juliet can only pick out some of the words she's saying, she sounds scared.

From what Juliet can gather, the blonde teen is seeing Bloody Mary now as well.

Juliet cuts the teen off mid-rant.

"Woah, woah. Calm down Charlie. Where are you?"

The teen takes a breath before telling Juliet her address.

"Okay, we'll come and get you. Sit tight, okay?"

After having Charlie's reassurance that the teen wouldn't do anything until they got there, Juliet hangs up.

The brunette huntress relays Charlie's whereabouts to Dean and the said Winchester instantly puts his foot down on the gas.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

The three hunters, plus an awake Harlow, are going around their motel room covering all the mirrors in the room.

Juliet bites her lip as she looks to Sam's bed where Charlie sits on the edge, both hands covering her face. The poor girl said she won't uncover her eyes until all mirrors in the area were covered.

Harlow sits next to the teen, holding her hand as she cries in fear.

Juliet looks to Sam and Dean, after they covered all the mirrors with a white sheet, before turning back to Charlie. The brunette makes her way towards the two and takes a seat on Charlie's left side, putting a comforting arm around her, she can't help it, her mother instincts are kicking in.

Sam and Dean take a few steps closer as well, the former of the two opting to kneel down in front on the blonde teen.

He gently grabs her hands and slowly pulls them away from her face while uttering comforting words as he sees that her eyes are still tightly shut.

"Hey, hey it's okay. Hey, you can open up your eyes Charlie. It's okay, all right?"

Charlie slowly lifts her head up before opening her eyes, a sigh of relief passing through her lips at seeing all the mirrors covered.

Juliet gives the teen a small smile as the hunter can still see the tear stains dotted around on her pink cheeks.

"Now listenโ€”"

Charlie's head looks in Juliet's direction as the hunters voice graces her ears.

"โ€”you're gonna stay here, right on this bed, and you're not gonna look at glass, or anythin' else that has a reflection, ya hear?"

Charlie nods her head which causes a smile to appear on Juliet's face as she continues to rub the teens back in comfort.

"Good, because as long as you do that, she cannot get to you."

Charlie shakes her head, "But I can't keep that up forever. I'm gonna die, aren't I?"

Sam shakes his head, "No. No. Not anytime soon."

Juliet nods her head, agreeing with her best friend. "Sam's right. We'll stop her before she can get to you, promise."

Charlie shakes her head once more, "How do I know you'll keep it?"

A serious expression clouds Juliet's expression as she forces Charlie's blue hues to meet her brown orbs.

"Because I always keep my promises."

Dean lifts Harlow up before sitting down next to the teen and putting Harlow back down on his lap.

"All right Charlie. We need to know what happened."

Charlie takes a breath before answering.

"We were in the bathroom. Donna said it."

Juliet shakes her head, knowing that that's not the answer they were looking for.

"That's not what he meant, sweetie."

Dean nods his head, "That's not what we're talking about. Something happened, didn't it? In your life...a secret...where someone got hurt."

Juliet watches as the teen takes a breath, hesitating.

"You can tell us, Charlie."

And those five words are all it takes as Charlie starts to crumble

ย before them.

"I had this boyfriend. I loved him. But he kinda scared me too, you know? And one night, at his house, we got into this fight. Then I broke up with him, and he got upset, and he said he needed me and he loved me, and he saidโ€”"

Charlie trails off as she looks to Harlow, Dean catches this and is quick to cover his daughter's ears, knowing that the next thing that is going to come out of Charlie's mouth is not what a five-year-old needs, or wants, to hear.

"โ€”He said "Charlie, if you walk out that door right now, I'm gonna kill myself." And you know what I said? I said "Go ahead." And I left. How could I say that? How could I leave him like that? I just...I didn't believe him, you know? I should have."

Juliet watches with a pained expression on her face as Charlie puts her face back on her knees and starts crying again.

Juliet rubs her back as she looks between both boys, he words meant for Charlie. "We're gonna sort this."

Sam and Dean nod their heads as Juliet looks back to her daughter, "You're gonna stay here, honey. Keep an eye on Charlie for us, yeah?" The young Winchester girl nods her head with a smile on her face, happy to help her parents in anyway she can.

Dean returns the smile before standing up with Harlow in his arms and hugging her before placing a kiss on her head.

"That's our girl."

Juliet smiles, too as she bends down and kisses her daughter's head before brushing her fingers through her hair.

"We'll be back soon, promise."

Harlow nods her head as she watches her family gather their things before walking out the door.

When it's just her and the teen in the room, Harlow climbs on the bed and hugs Charlie tight, well, as tight as she can, her little arms aren't quite long enough to reach around the teen.

"It rill be otay, Chawlie."

The teen sniffs as she sobs.

The teen looks up and wipes her tears away with the sleeves of her black cardigan.

"I'm sorry, for what I said earlier. I didn't mean it, you're not a pipsqueak. You're like the coolest kid ever."

Harlow smiles at that, "Fank you and I forwive you."

Charlie returns the smile, albeit it's a small one but that doesn't phase Harlow in the slightest.

Dean drives the Impala with Juliet sitting shotgun while Sam sits in the back.

Juliet watches as the street lights light the way down the road, her brown orbs look up to the sky as see the shining stars. Her eyes flicker to the moon, it's not a full moon, luckily, meaning no werewolves.

Dean's voice brings her out of her thoughts, "You know her boyfriend killing himself, that's not really Charlie's fault." Juliet nods her head at her boyfriend's words, "Yeah but spirits don't really know the difference." Sam, to, nods his head in agreement with Juliet. "She's right. You know as well as I do, spirits don't exactly see shades of gray, Dean. Charlie had a secret, someone died, that's good enough for Mary."

Dean shrugs his shoulders, "I guess."

There's a few seconds of silence before Sam speaks up, again.

"You know, I've been thinking. It might not be enough to just smash that mirror."

Dean glances at the rearview mirror, narrowing his eyes at his brother in the reflection, before looking back to the road. Juliet turns her head to look in Sam's direction, her eyes also ablaze with curiousity. Both hunters are puzzled, but the former of the two is the one to question his brother on his idea.

"Why, what do you mean?"

"Well Mary's hard to pin down, right? I mean she moves around from mirror to mirror so who's to say that she's notย  just gonna keep hiding in them?ย  So maybe we should try to pin her down, you know, summon her to her mirror and then smash it."

Juliet narrows her eyes, having a gut feeling that she knows where Sam is heading with this. It would make sense, the nightmares, screaming out Jess's name in his sleep. However, she keeps her thoughts to herself as Dean voices the question that is going around his head.

"Well how do we know that's going to work?"

Sam shakes his head, "I don't, not for sure."

Juliet, although dreading the answer, asks the question that's on both of her and Dean's mind.

"Okay, so who's gonna summon her?"

Sam looks to Juliet and the huntress has to refrain from shrinking back at the look of determination showing in his dark green eyes.

Sam's voice is strong and unwavering as he answers her question.

"I will. She'll come after me."

Dean and Juliet share a look before the former of the two shakes his head with a frown on his face.

"You know what, that's itโ€”"

Juliet let's out a huff as Dean pulls the car over and into the shoulder of the road. The apple-green eyed man turns to his brother, a frown on his lips as his eyes land on Sam.

"โ€”this is about Jessica, isn't it? You think that's your dirty little secret that you killed her somehow?" There's an impregnable pause between the three hunters and Juliet can't help but think that Harlow staying with Charlie was a good call to make.

Dean, taking the silence as an answer, shakes his head in frustration at his little brother.

"Sam, this has got to stop, man. I mean, the nightmares and calling her name out in the middle of the nightโ€”it's gonna kill you. Now listen to meโ€”"

Juliet looks to her boyfriend and instantly notices the serious look on his face. He wants Sam to know that what he is saying, he means.

"โ€”it wasn't your fault."

Juliet nods her head, "Listen to him, Sammy because he's right. You shouldn't blame yourself, Honey, if you're gonna blame anyone, blame the thing that did it. Heck, blame us if it makes you feel better, we were the ones that dragged you away from Jess in the first place."

Sam turns to his brother and best friend, a soft look in his eyes.

"I don't blame you, either of you."

Dean shakes his head, "Well you shouldn't blame yourself, because there's nothing you could've done."

Sam shrugs, "I could've warned her."

Dean sighs, starting to lose his patience.

"About what? You didn't know what was going to happen! And besides, all of this isn't a secret, I mean we know all about it. It's not gonna work with Mary anyway."

To their surprise, Sam shakes his head.

"No you don't."

Dean looks to his brother, puzzled. "We don't what?"

"You don't know all about it. I have't told you guys everything."

Dean can't seem to comprehend what his little brother is saying.

"What are you talking about?"

Sam looks between Dean and Juliet, the latter also intrigued as to what Sam means, and the younger Winchester brother can sense that.

"Well it wouldn't really be a secret if I told you both, would it?"

A look of surprise crosses Dean's face and Juliet can see the flash of hurt in his eyes.

If she had to guess, she would say that he's hurting because they're brothers, they're meant to tell each other everything, no secrets betweeen them.

It's a good thing that Juliet isn't suggesting that she does it as that would mean admitting to Dean that she, too, had a secret that she's keeping from him. She supposes that, if Sam's plan fails, she could always step in and summon her to her mirror and smash it that way.

Her secret would work as it's a secret and the secret has supposedly killed someone, John.

Dean's voice brings her out of her thoughts.

"No. I don't like it. It's not gonna happen, forget it."

There's a pause in the car after Dean has raised his voice. Sam turns to him, a look of pleading on his face.

"Dean that girl back there is going to die unless we do something about it. And you know what? Who knows how many more people are gonna die after that? Now we're doing this. You've got to let me do this, both of you."

Juliet just has this feeling that's it's going to go wrong. When has anything ever gone smooth sailing for them? So, yeah, she's gonna have that back up plan up her sleeve and so be it, if she has to use it, if it means saving both Winchester boys then nothing and no one is going to stop her nor get in her way and if they do, it'll be their undoing.

That, she is sure of.

Juliet sighs as she looks to Sam, who's picking the lock to the antique store that holds the mirror that Mary had died in front of. The brunette pulls her jacket so it's tighter against her body, the cold and crisp night air chilling her body.

"Sam can you please hurry, it's freezing."

The younger Winchester brother goes to respond the sound of the lock clicking stop him.

A smile lights Juliet's face as the three hunters hurry into the now unlocked store. The brownย  eyed hunter sighs in relief as the warmth from the store embraces her frame like a hug. That smile is wiped from her face as soon as it appears, a puff of air leaving her as she eyes all the mirrors that are in front of the three and it seems Dean isn't too thrilled with it either.

"Well...that's just great."

Juliet watches as he pulls out the picture of Mary's lifeless body to glance at the mirror on the paper. Juliet takes a close look as well, eyeing every inch the mirror as well as every carving etched into it's design, making sure that the image is burned into her brain.

Dean puts the picture back into his jean pocket before looking at the two.

"All right let's start looking."

The three hunters split up, each of them picking a part of the store to cover more ground.

Neither of the hunters realize that they tripped the alarm.

Dean's voice sounds from somewhere in the building.

"Maybe they've already sold it."

Juliet shakes her head before stopping as her and Sam come across the same mirror. They both shine their torch light on it as Sam is the one to speak out of the two.

"I don't think so."

Dean walks over to the two of them and shines his light on the mirror, also. He then fishes the picture back out of his pocket and holds it up to compare the mirror in the picture to the one that's in front of them.

"That's itโ€”"

The oldest Winchester brother lets out a sigh before looking to younger but taller brother.

"โ€”you sure about this?"

Sam doesn't reply and instead just passes Dean his flashlight. Juliet watches as her best friend approaches the mirror and before she knows it, he's standing in front of the mirror with his reflection facing him.

Although a part of her wants to, Juliet can't look away and instead watches on as Sam sighs.

"Bloody Mary."

The first time Sam says it, she feels her heart in her throat.

"Bloody Mary."

Her heart beats faster and faster, louder and louder until she feels like her ears are bleeding...

Sam looks to both her and Dean and for a moment, just a moment, she thinks Sam can hear her heart beating as well.

Dean shoots his brother an unsure look as Sam picks up the crowbar.

"Bloody Mary."

There's a pause in the atmosphere but nothing happens and Juliet doesn't know if she should relief or not.

Dean and Juliet turn to the window, both of them seeing a light seep through the window and into the store. The two hunters share a look before Dean kisses her cheek and pats Sam on the arm, "I'll go check that out. Stay here, be careful."

Dean lingers as he watches Sam tighten his hold on the crowbar before turning to Juliet, giving her a pointed look. "Smash anything that moves." Juliet nods her head, a silent reply, as she takes both flashlights from his hand. She watches as he crawls his way to the front door.

While Dean is off doing that, Juliet stills her breathing as a chill hits her bones. The sudden temperature drop causes the hairs on the back of her head to stand to attention like military soldiers.

Sam hears a breath be blown down his neck, he turns to look at a different mirror, just missing Mary from the corner of his eye.

Mary moves to another mirror, luckily, this time Sam notices her this time and is quick to smash the mirror with his crowbar. He faces Mary's mirror once again, he tightens his grip on the crowbar.

"Come on. Come into this one."

Sam looks into his reflection, giving it an odd look as it seems to have taken a mind of its own. It's then Sam starts to have trouble bleeding and a trickle of blood starts to come from his eye, like he's crying blood.

Juliet gasps as he drops the crowbar and falls to the floor in pain. The brunette is quick to crouch down next to him, a worried look on her face.

"Sammy."

The younger Winchester brother groans in pain as he clutches his heart.

Juliet looks back to the mirror to see Sam's reflection still standing with a twisted look on its face.

"It's your fault. You killed her. You killed Jessica."

Juliet looks down at Sam before looking back to his reflection.

"Okay. Time for plan B."

Juliet walks over to the mirror but not before picking up the crowbar.

"Bloody Mary."

"Bloody Mary."

"Bloody Mary."

Sam still grunts in pain but not as bad as before, he's still in pain but it's that little bit bareable.

Juliet faces her reflection and Juliet like Sam's, her ref;ection's face starts to twist.

"Wh-what the hell?"

"You've killed him. John is dead because of you! If you had just told the truth, he would still be alive."

Juliet's eyes start to bleed but also blood starts to pool from her mouth and like Sam, she crumbles to the floor, banging her and holds her heart in pain. It feels like there's a weight on her heart, like a hand is slowly crushing it in their grip. She drops the crowbar as her reflection snears down at her, its words harsh and said with venom dripping from its tongue.

"You never told them the truth! You never told him the truth, but it's always there isn't it? In the back of your mind, eating away at you, seeping into your dreams. You're so desperate for his approval that you agreed to keep his secret. You knew what the outcome would be! You've killed him!"

Juliet doesn't see him but she hears him.

She groans in pain as she musters all her strength to lift her head. She watches Dean as he smashes Mary's mirror with the crowbar. Dean then bends down and is quick to asses his little brother.

"Sam, Sammy!"

The said Winchester coughs as he gives his brother a pointed look.

"It's Sam."

Knowing that his brother's okay, Dean moves to Juliet and cups her face with his hands.

"Hey, baby. You're alright."

Dean takes notice of her busted lip and the blood dripping from her eyes. He glances between his brother and girlfriend, concern shining in his light green eyes.

Dean motions to the blood.

"God, are you both okay?"

"Uh, yeah."

Sam winces as it hurts to talk.

Dean looks to Juliet and she nods her head, "I think so." With a sigh, he hauls Juliet up and the huntress is greatful that Dean allows her to lean on him as she tries to regain her strength, as well as her breath, back. She groans as she moves her legs, but she can't keep Dean to herself.

Juliet motions to Sam, knowing that he needs the help more.

Dean sees this and sends her a look, silently asking if she's sure. Juliet nods her head and watches as Dean helps Sam up and slings his arm around his shoulder. "Come on. Come on."ย  and supports his brother as the two start to make their way out of the store

Juliet hurries to Sam's other side and places his other arm over her shoulder, both best friend and brother supporting the injured Winchester.

Just as the three hunters are near the door, they hear the sound of glass breaking behind them. Juliet turns around, along with Sam and Dean, and see's Mary crawling out of the mirror.

"Oh for fuck sake. Doesn't this bitch know when to quit?"

The ghost of Mary doesn't reply but she stands straight and walks closer and closer. Juliet raises an eyebrow as the ghost walks over the broken glass from the smashed mirror like it's nothing.

The closer Mary gets, the more the three hunters start to grunt in pain.

The three hunters collapse on the floor as Dean, Juliet and Sam's start to bleed.

The three hunters lay on the floor, side by side, in pain.

Dean, using his remaining strength, groans as he reaches up and grabs a mirror before turning it around so the mirror is facing Mary.

Mary, forced to see her own reflection, tilts her head as her reflection starts to morph.

"You killed them! All those people! You killed them!"

Juliet watches with blood covered vision as the ghost of Mary starts to choke and crumble to the floor as she tries to catch her breath but she can't and soon she chokes till she starts to melt into a pile of blood.

Juliet pulls a face of disgust.

"What a way to go."

Dean, breathing heavily, throws the mirror down and onto the floor, the force of the throw making the fragile glass, shatter into a million pieces.

Dean then looks around to all the smashed mirrors.

"Hey guys?"

"Yeah?"

"What?"

Dean motions to the mirrors surrounding them while looking at Sam and Juliet.

"This has got to be like...what? Sixty years of bad luck?"

Sam chuckles wrly as Juliet just throws her head back with a sigh.

The three hunters, all supporting each other, exit the store.

Juliet looks down at the two police officers that Dean had knocked out earlier. The brunette lets out a whistle before looking up to Dean.

"Wow, babe. Two police officers? That's a new record."

The said Winchester just laughs before the three pile into the car and make their way back to the motel.

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet sighs as she wipes off the excess water from her face. She has just finished rinsing the lavender scented face mask off her face. She looks out the window and sees that sky is still pitch black with nothing but the stars and moon lighting the night sky.

It was late by the time they got back to the motel, so they booked Charlie a room. The blonde teen is currently sharing with Sam as she refused to sleep on her own in a room, so Sam has one double bed while Charlie has the other.

The brunette looks to a sleeping Harlow, the little Winchester tucked into bed and snuggles under the warmth of her bed spread. Her brown eyes then flicker to Dean, who is sitting on their bed, already looking at her.

The Winchester brother drinks in Juliet's appearance before standing up from the bed and walking over to her.

Juliet raises an eyebrow as he holds out his hand to her.

"Come with me."

Juliet narrows her eyes but takes his hand all the same.

Questions start to form in her mind as Dean leads her out of their motel room.

"Where are we going?"

She watches as Dean locks their motel door and grabs her hand and leads her to the car. He motions for her to get in, which she does. Dean then starts the engine and drives a little ways away, only five minutes or so away from their motel room.

Dean cutts the engine before getting out, Juliet doing the same. She watches as he goes to the trunk and opens it, fishing out one big blanket before shutting the trunk and laying it on the hood of the car.

Juliet smiles as something clicks in her brain.

Dean sits on the hood of the Impala, getting comfortable before laying down on the blanket. He looks to Juliet and holds his arm out, inviting her to join him, which she does.

She hops up and lays by his side, resting her head on his chest as he winds his arm around her, holding her close.

The two lay in silence, just admiring the starts that they lay beneath.

It's only a few seconds later, Dean decides to break that silence.

"Something's been on my mind..."

Juliet raises an eyebrow, "Oh, no."

Dean shakes his head with a chuckle.

"Mary only went after people that had secrets, right?"

Juliet furrows her eyebrows, curious where he's going with this.

"Yeah?"

Dean's green eyes meet her brown ones.

"So how come she went after you?"

Juliet's heart starts beating but she keeps her cool and instead, deflects.

"The same could be said for you."

"True, but I think she came after me because of that whole Rhonda Hurley thing."

Juliet raises an eyebrow, "Really? But that was years ago, way before Harlow was born."

Dean sighs, "I know but I guess I still feel guilty over it."

Juliet smiles, "Hey, you have nothin' to feel guilty for, it was a long time ago and if anything. I was partly to blame as well. I shouldn't of blown up on you like that, because if I hadn't, you wouldn't of walked out and none of that would have happened."

Dean hums as he nods his head before looking back to her, the moonlight reflecting off her skin, making it look as if she's glowing. "What about you? Why'd she go after you?" Juliet swallows the lump in her throat as she comes out with the half-truth.

"Honestly, I think she played on my insecurities. I'm not gonna lie, I feel insecure about the whole Rhonda thing, still." Juliet looks down in shame at feeding another lie to him, but Dean takes it as she's feeling shame for feeling insecure.

Dean hooks his fingers under her chin and nudges her head, so she's facing him.

"Hey, you have nothing to feel insecure about. You're beautiful. inside and out, and you're an amazing mom and an amazing girlfriend and man, I am the luckiest guy alive to be gifted with such an amazing daughter and girlfriend.

Juliet smiles as he leans in to kiss her, a kiss which she returns.

The two then settle back down onto the blanket and lay in each other's arms as they watch the stars.

Juliet can't help but have a sour taste in her mouth as her gut twists and not in a good way.

Her relfections words replay in her mind, over and over again like they're stuck on a loop.

"You never told him the truth, but it's always there isn't it? In the back of your mind, eating away at you, seeping into your dreams."

โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข

Juliet sits in the back with Harlow, the brunette is in the middle as Charlie sits on the other side of her.

Dean drives while Sam sits in the front.

The former Winchester pulls up in front of a house, Charlie's house.

The said teen glances at all three hunters, a sigh of relief passing her pink lips.

"So this is really over?"

Juliet nods her head with a smile.

"Yup."

Dean, too, smiles at the teen and nods his head.

"Yeah, it's over."

The blonde teen looks at each hunter, "Thank you."

Juliet smiles, "You're the first person to ever say that."

Charlie smiles, "Well, I mean it. Really, thanks guys."

The blonde then steps out of the car and shuts the door behind her before bending down and looking in from the passenger window as Sam's voice gets her attention.

"Charlie? You're boyfriend's death...you really should try and forgive yourself for that. No matter what you did, you probably couldn't have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happen."

Charlie smiles faintly in reply before turning around and making her way into her house.

Dean looks to his brother and gently hits his shoulder.

"That's good advice."

They then drive off.

"Hey Sam?"

The said Winchester looks to his brother, "Yeah?"

Dean glances at him and then to the road.

"Now that this is all over, I want you to tell me what that secret is."

Sam sighs, "Look...you're my brother and I'd die for you, but there are some things I need to keep to myself."

Sam then looks out of the window while Dean meets Juliet's eyes in the rearview mirror. The brunette shrugs in reply to his silent question.

'He's entitled to his own secrets.'

Dean nods his head and continues driving.

Juliet's eyes flicker to Sam as he sits up straight and narrows his eyes as he looks out of the window.

What she doesn't know is that Sam sees Jessica standing on the side walk in a white dress, in Sam's eyes, she looks like an angel, he refuses to blink, wanting her image to be etched into his brain, one last time but alas, as Dean drives around the corner, she's gone.
